My alternator went bad, and I coasted to a stop, right in the middle of the Maryland and North intersection. Fortunately, it was right around the corner from Jr. Lala, because Im visiting from Iowa and dont know any good car repair places in the area.I immediately felt comfortable with Gull and Serafin. They were kind, attentive, and professional. They did some checks, identified the issue quickly and got the work down as soon as they could. They even offered to give me a ride somewhere to take care of something.Business is slow and challenging for many out there, so Im glad I got to support a good one. Thanks guys!

So I call to see if they were available to fix my car but there was no answer but Thats kinda understandable because they might even been busy or couldnt hear the phone from working. So I decided to head down there to see if they could tell me what may be wrong with my vehicle. I get to the shop and I see one guy just sitting in his chair on his phone. I walk up and ask him if he could check out my car and see what going on with my car. I told him it was a mercedes and before I could even explain what was happening to the car he cut me off and said we dont work on mercedes! He could have atleast plug up his diagnostic machine and tell me what the code said. So I said if you were sitting there the whole time why couldnt you answer the phone to atleast tell me that over the phone and with you being a mechanic you most likely have a machine or the knowledge to explain what possibly could be wrong regardless of the make of the vehicle. I do not recommend this auto shop.

Went here with my uncle and did brakes and oil change many times here, Gull and his team are great mechanics and have really reasonable prices for very high quality work. A must stop auto shop for anyone in Baltimore.

My car was making noise so me ,my brother and uncle was on our way to a funeral was stoped to the nearest car shop which was this place.They checked my car without any issues told me what was wrong give me a price.They next fay i took my car back to get fix now my car is running like a new car.I will be taking my car back if any other isdues happen..Great job guys

They took care of us so quickly, on just a hour call ahead. Our mechanic took the time to show us what part was broken, as well as explain the fix and why the broken piece caused us problems. No nonsense, new to Baltimore but I know where we will be going from now until we ever move.

I was excited to use this business for a tune up and spark plug change due to the reviews on google. However, they show no regard for COVID safety precautions. Nobody wore a mask on pickup or drop off or disinfected the car. The tech invited me into a cramped poorly ventilated office with no mask on in order for me to pay, when I said no, he insisted I come in to pay. It was a awkward and unsafe experience and they have lost my business. Convenience should never come at the expense of health.

I recently moved from Ohio to Maryland and needed a state safety check for registration.I was referred here by another auto repair shop who had great things to say. Before going, I checked the reviews on Google and was happy to see that all were positive.They were all nice and not only took care of my safety check, they also made the necessary repairs. Not going to lie, I wasnt prepared for how much everything cost. But I know the price was fair.What really sold me is that while I was waiting, a young man came in needing his car repaired and was concerned about the price. They worked with him and it was refreshing to witness.Ill be taking my car here from now on.

Staff is friendly and not only helpful, but they explained to me what happened to my car. The labor cost and estimate were spot on, and I they did not take advantage of me. I work on my own car most of the times, but for some Jobs I think it makes more sense having a true expert performing the job, like in this case. I would gladly bring my car back to Jr. Lala and recommend others here as well.

Very honest and trust-worthy. They jump started my car for free and refused to take my money when offered. They also gave me advice on how to replace my battery, and suggested that a different mechanic may be able to do it quicker than them. I have, unfortunately, been taken advantage of by mechanics in the past, but these guys clearly value good customer service over making an easy buck! I will definitely be returning!

This place is the real deal!As a recent transplant to Baltimore, I needed to get a safety inspection done on my car before getting it registered with the state. Every employee I interacted with at Jr. Lalas was extremely professional, transparent, and friendly. I called the day before I wanted to come in, and dropped my car off at 9am the next morning. There were several items where my used car failed the inspection (none of which were gimmicks to get more $$ out of me-- they were known issues I expected I would probably have to fix). They offered to keep my car and continue working to fix the issues that same day. They gave me a quote (with a tire discount at $80 per tire since I was getting all 4 replaced), and told me they would reach out in a few hours when they completed the work. A few hours later I came back, and there was only one problem they couldnt entirely fix. They gave me a discount on that service since it wasnt completely resolved, and recommended a nearby auto shop that would be able to finish the work. From beginning to end, Umair and Farooq were fantastic and always made sure to fully explain the problems and solutions to me, and always got my express permission before starting any work. Their prices matched their quotes, and I appreciated when they gave me the referral to a different local shop.Lastly, as a young woman who just moved to the city, these guys get my stamp of approval for not being patronizing or trying to pull a fast one on me. That hasnt been my experience at all auto shops, but this one definitely wont try to rip you off. Their reputation is gold for a reason-- please give this honest, hard-working small business your patronage!!

While he could have charged us to repair certain parts of our car, he realized there were issues he couldnt get full information on, so he suggested we take it to the dealer. Not only do they offer the greatest experience Ive ever had with a mechanic by far, but Lala is also a truly kind and helpful guy all around. He always gives me an immediate, straightforward, well-explained diagnosis and estimate, with info on how urgent or cost-effective repairs are (due to my budget and champ of a hooptie), and never tries to give me any bs or patronize me (my experience as a woman with basically every other mechanic, despite being decently informed about my car and having a damn doctorate). Turnaround time is quick with great service and very reasonable prices. He once gave me a free diagnosis and sent me to another garage because the part was still under warranty with their work - he wouldnt take any money. Hes even given me a ride from the garage and fixed my turn signal for free. Car trouble always sucks, but now that I go to Lalas, at least its offset by the reminder that there really are some truly good people still in this world.

Two years ago I was in town for a wedding. My car died on Saturday night in a parking garage. I was desparate! I looked online for a garage that would be open on a Sunday. Junior Lalas was the only one listed as being open on Sunday. I had my car towed there overnight. In the morning, I called and called, but no one answered the phone. Desparate, I decided to walk there from my hotel and found a couple of men working at the shop. One of the men told me the shop was closed. I explained my predicament to him and that this was the only shop open on Sunday that was listed on Google. He informed me that their hours had changed and Google had not changed the hours on the listing. The man offered to work on my car if his boss would approve. The boss, who I believe was Junior, not only approved my repair, he also went to a store to pick up the part and came to the shop to write up the paperwork. All on a Sunday! I was especially gratful for a super reasonable price for the repair! They could have easily taken advantage of a single woman from out-of-town, but they went above and beyond to help me. I will be forever gratful! Thank-you so much!!
