The response was very prompt before I signed my lease and that was great. However, I sent a couple of emails after I signed and they have not been replied to.Other than that, the apartments are nice, the building as well especially the main reception area.

Horrible management and ownershipPoorly run with absolutely no regard for its tenants. Aside from a poorly run leasing office and concierge service who frequently leave before the end of shift, misplaced packages and useless website, theres no communication from management or ownership. Today marks the FOURTH false fire alarm (one occurring at 5AM) that has taken place over a mere three week span. It is downright disgusting and deplorable how this complex takes its tenants for granted.

Ive enjoyed most of my first year here, Id probably give it four stars except for what just happened given my notice for lease renewal. Ill start with the apartment and facilities. The apartment itself is pretty nice. Finishes feel high quality, but the cabinets seem cheap. The screws attaching the doors to the cabinet are constantly coming out, likely due to not using as many screws as needed to attach the door (usually 1-2 screws are missing and were never used). This leads the doors to not close properly. A section of the drywall ceiling in the hallway was cut out to make a repair or fix a leak and it hasnt been properly patched in months afterward. The two garage doors havent been operational at the same time in months, which leads to a compromise in security of the garage, especially in the evening (5-11) when the first door is left open (assumedly for Minnow). The walls between apartments do a pretty good job of mitigating sounds (unless theres loud music with a lot of bass), but there seems to be no sounds attenuation between the hall. You can hear conversations going on in the hallway and vice versa. The building bills itself as luxury, but it doesnt feel that way in the hallways outside of the area around the leasing office. The rooftop is amazing, absolutely no complaints there. Cant say Ive spent any time in the courtyard, nor does anyone else unless they are using the grill. On to the lease renewal.... Im renting a studio at $1399 a month. Just got my notice about letting them know if I was going to renew my lease. The kicker is I would have to renew the lease at $1795 a month, a $400 increase over my current rent. They blame it on market prices and current situations. Regardless of market conditions, a $400 increase is an absolute slap in the face to a current tenant. Its 4 months out from the lease ending, they dont know how conditions will change, perhaps they should take a look at past trends instead of current ones. They had a bunch of similar studios available at the same time last year when I was looking, probably because all of their existing tenants moved out due to an insane rent increase. I didnt want to move again a year later, but I dont have much choice now and Ill gladly see my way out as opposed to rent from a management company that squeezes current tenants, hoping they would rather pay up than move again. Or forget to send a letter via certified mail saying theyre not releasing and automatically renew the lease at the high price.Update: Leasing manager just resigned immediately, not sure if it was because she wasnt getting work done or she was such of the work due to the transition to the new management company. Its been a mess since they transitioned from WPM to Lincoln Property management. Also, its been months and this ceiling outside of the vestibule going to the parking garage has been fixed.

Dont do it....the fire alarm has gone off 1-2x a week for the past 4-5 months. Im talking piercing alarm in the hallways and in each apartment. One time it went off from 3am-6am and I had to sleep in my car. Management doesnt even acknowledge it anymore.

This review is for 2 E Wells though I am sure the experience across the street would have been just as good! I cannot begin to express how amazing the staff at Wells was. Between Ciera, Daisha, Taisha and Patrice I could never have asked for better people working the building (along with the rest of staff!). Even if the apartment wasnt great Id come back just because of them. You are not going to find better value or a better location if you are working south of the city - so close to the highway. Once you factor in things like the free garage, very energy efficient apartments and how there arent any hidden fees - the price becomes comparable if not better than a lot of lower quality buildings. Insanely pet friendly - my pup misses seeing Daisha every day. Only reason I moved was COVID and I will certainly be back when remote working ends!

I knew from the moment I walked through the doors that 2 E Wells was my new home. Originally from Pennsylvania, I was skeptical and nervous about moving to Baltimore since I was used to corn fields and farm tractors, not sky-rises and stadium traffic. When moving to Federal Hill, it was important for me to move somewhere that had a community feel and residential amenities that would make it feel like home-away-from-home. Melody really helped me to recognize what a great place 2 E Wells is and how happy I would be here. She gave my friend Sidney and I a 3-hour tour and didn’t mind at all that we wanted to re-see all the rooms. After I toured the apartment, I came back 3 more times before I actually moved in because I couldn’t get enough of the place! Move-in day was a very smooth process and I had the best “Welcome Home” present which really made me feel special. I love all the amenities the community has to offer. The rooftop decks are great to have your morning coffee (and yoga on Wednesday nights!) and I love that the cardio equipment in the gym faces out toward the highway. Counting the cars makes running go much quicker! The residents are extremely friendly and seeing their dogs always makes me smile. I am so glad I am a resident of this community and I can’t wait for Sidney to move-in so we can take advantage of all 2 E Wells has to offer together!

I have lived in 2 East Wells for 4 months now, and I absolutely love the community! Everyone at the leasing office is very friendly and go above and beyond to care for the needs of the residents. Melody has especially been extremely helpful to me. The apartment building is well located in Federal Hill, and is a walking distance to several restaurants, bars, and the Cross Street Market. The building is very modern, safe, peaceful and well-maintained. The maintenance staff responds to requests in less than 24 hours. I really enjoy hanging out in the court-yard and hosting friends on the roof top with breath-taking views of the city. There is ample space for every resident to park in a secured garage. Other note-worthy features of the apartment I enjoy a lot include the modern fitness center with multiple equipment, the grill, and resident lounge. I also appreciate the numerous events that the leasing office put together to facilitate interactions and amongst the residents and give away prizes! I am confident that choosing 2 East Wells as my home in Baltimore is one of the best decisions I have made. I would definitely recommend living at 2 EAST WELLS to anyone looking for an apartment in Baltimore.

I recently moved to Baltimore for a new job and wouldnt want to live anywhere else. At 2 East Wells, Im able to experience all of what Baltimore has to offer while being able to live in a safe, luxurious space that I call my home. I love being able to walk to the restaurants and bars on a Friday night and also take a quick drive across town to Canton. The commute to and from work in the inner harbor is amazing as well. You cant beat the location because its just out of the busyness of Federal Hill but still close enough to go to all areas around the city. Whenever I feel like getting some air, I can go out on one of the two rooftop decks to overlook the city and just relax for a while. I love all of the activities that the leasing agents coordinate for the residents and look forward to more in the future. I definitely still need to meet some more of the residents around the building but for those that Ive met, theyve been great to talk to and hangout with. The leasing agents and other residents really make you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. The application process was a breeze and they made it the easiest it could be. I would highly recommend anyone moving to Baltimore, or even relocating, to consider 2 East Wells as their new home.

In the time I have stayed at 2 East Wells, I continue to be impressed with the friendliness of the leasing specialists and the overall community vibe. The 2 East Wells team goes out of their way to host networking events and help residents meet others who live in the complex. They are all very professional and are always willing to help you with whatever you need. The physical apartments are state of the art with pristine finishes and impeccable design. The kitchen is very spacious, along with the walk-in closets and bathrooms. I also can never hear any noise coming from my neighbors, so they are seemingly soundproof. There is a parking garage attached to the building, and also plenty of spots on the street so I have experienced no trouble in this regard. The appliances are all brand new. The amenities are always very clean and I enjoy using the gym and social spaces. The staff are friendly and helpful- Becky and Melody especially have been great and are always planning a new social event for the residents. The location is perfect as we have easy access to Federal Hill and can also get in and out of the city very quickly with access to 95. Parking is a must so having the garage on every floor is a great advantage. Moving to a new city can be both exciting and nerve wrecking filled with lots of unknowns. As soon as I stepped into the lobby at 2 East Wells to tour the property I knew I found my new home. I was greeted by Melody, who has been extremely helpful since my first call inquiring about the property and continues to be very responsive to any questions that arise. The tour highlighted all of the attributes that make this property a great place to live. There is a coffee/tea lounge area with TV’s and Internet access (which I’ve taken full advantage while contemplating internet and cable options), fitness center with cardio and free weight options, courtyard with a grill that can be accessed any time, and large rooftop deck with a great view of the city. One of my biggest concerns when I looked at places was having available and safe parking which is no issue at all in the gated garage that has an entrance on each floor. In the weeks since moving into my new home at 2 East Wells I can say there’s great communication from the staff regarding happenings in Baltimore each week including any upcoming events being thrown by the property. The entire staff remains to be very friendly, helpful, and approachable. They are informative about the area and quick to point out some great places to eat in the neighborhood. I am extremely pleased since moving in and happy to call 2 East Wells my home.

8/2/17: The peolpe who work at this location are fantastic. From what I have observed the fault lies with WPM Realestate seeing as they are unable to keep any leasing agents willfully employed here for more than a week or so. I initially moved here in October 2015 and for the first 11 months it was spectacular. Over the course of the last year this property has declined significantly. The fire alarms going off at random intervals with no explanation, regularly broken or malfunctioning doors, difficulties with paying your rent via their online system, and a number of small issues that build up over time make this property excessively over priced. I reccommend going to 101 Wells st if you like the area as it is run by a different property management company or just literally anywhere else but here. Also of note, despite their pet policy they will allow any animal to live in this building regardless of breed or temperment. Which on one hand is cool but on the other, someone is eventually going to get bitten. Ill not be renewing my lease unless a miracle turns this place around and will update this post if it does.
