Curtis was fantastic at communicating what was happening, as well as scheduling and giving updates on when items ordered would arrive. Install was fast and they did a beautiful job. A whole 2-story house worth of flooring, they did carpet, wood, and tile in different areas, including a staircase. Very very happy with their work, and well definitely recommend them to anyone who asks.

I had to do this all remotely and i found Barbara, the owner, to be very knowledgeable, very responsive, very patient, very gracious and quite charming which made the process pleasant!I had a pergo type floor and it repeatedly got damaged by ac condensation overflow pipes getting clogged under the building and then overflowing into my condo. Barbara helped me choose a lovely wood looking tile that i love and everything was done without need of me in person.I need to go clean the condo but the picture below shows how beautiful the floor is! I am very pleased with the look and looking forward to years of no damaged flooring!

It’s tough and quite nerve racking buying anything for a new house and sometimes a person will sell you more than what you need - But Chaae went over the specs, weight, color , etc. every detail to ensure we would get not only the type of carpet we needed but one we would appreciate! I cannot thank you all enough for the great job and make our new home look great. 🙏(The prices are great I have family in the business and they could not compete with Lone Star prices ).

Chase and his team were professional and they got the job done in record time. When I found mistakes, they came out promptly to fix them. The only issue I had was with the General Contractor Chase had recommended to me to finish some of the additional baseboard/paint work (David Roseland - ContourATX LLC). David and his team did a terrible job on the paint, failed to install the toilet, painted a room they werent supposed to and painted free hand after my brand new floors were installed. It was only Chases team that knew how to install a shim on the door jambs and they sort of fixed the issue (however these shims still needed to be sanded and painted ) ..Davids team tried to caulk in 1/2 inch gaps which left a goopy mess all over my brand new floors. Davids team also didnt re-install the doors or appliances and later I would find that the door frames they installed didnt fit when the doors were re-hinged. I would use LSC again but do NOT use the GC that Chase recommended (David Roseland - Im not sure if hes even licensed and he has no working website or reviews (shame on me for hiring him)). Ive included photos of the floor, the caulking from the GC that Chase recommended, the shims installed by LSC team and the shoddy work done by the contractor they recommended.

I am very happy with my new floors. My salesman, Frank, answered all of my questions and helped me pick the best product for my home and needs. The installation crew was courteous and very helpful. I am totally satisfied with the end result and the price. I do not believe I could have done any better than using Lone Star Carpet.

I can’t speak for the rest of the team but the sales person I was dealing with is certainly not professional. Barbara does not care about doing business and blames client for her mistake. As a customer of Lone Star Carpet, I was found quite disappointed with my service! I have set an appointment for the stairs to be fixed at 10:30 a.m on 13th of October, for the worker to only appear at 11:40 a.m in the morning. Over an hour late, regardless I gave him politeness and respect as he fixed my home and that I was grateful for his services. I expressed again and again how thankful I was to finally receive improvements the stairs desperately needed. The worker shrugged me off and continued working on the stairs for at least 45 minutes but that wasnt the thing that concerned me. My Housemate was attempting to help the worker improve his handiwork by using a different glue instead of wood glue for the tile reassignment on the steps. We expressed multiple times our gratitude as he worked and exited our residence, however it was unrequited. The worker left and contacted our landlord making claims such as the tenants are kicking or pulling them off. As well as Not sure if they are moving furniture up and down or what, but the glue has been stuck and pulled from the plank underneath. claiming we INTENTIONALLY damaged our home! These claims are utterly ridiculous and terrible!!! That should never be said about customers to their LANDLORD. She contacted us about the situation, talking to us as if WE were to blame because of this! It was never our intention to hurt or damage our home but saying we destroyed it on purpose is absolutely rude and disrespectful! Thus we have made the decision in unison to never hire this company for their work again, we will fix the stairs on our own from now on since were tired of being blamed for faulty reassignments.

Chase and his crew were able to do a fantastic job in a remarkably tight time frame for both tile and carpet applications. And Chase was top-notch communicative throughout the process. Big thumbs up!

Horrible experience from start to finish with Lonestar Carpet. I do not recommend them. I’d like to first off say, I tried to call the owner to privately discuss my concerns and the receptionist would not connect me to them after two tries. So this was my only option. I was looking to install wood floors in my home and set up a estimate with Jory. He no showed to our first appt. saying he wrote down the wrong day. He came the next day and was on his phone during the whole consult. He then brought me samples that were nothing like what I wanted. So I ended up going to the showroom to pick out samples with him. I picked three and quickly selected one. From there Jory was difficult to get a hold of, didn’t respond to text, or never emailed the quote he said he would. Only to finally find out the three samples we had selected aren’t even being made currently! Back to square one. I found Jory unresponsive so I contacted Lonestar carpet directly to ask to work with another salesperson. The receptionist said she would have another sales person call to help me. Well minutes later, Jory calls and I never get connected with another salesperson. So my request was completely ignored. Jory offered to take me to another showroom and find an in stock wood. I show up the the showroom and pick out woods directed by Jory. I take samples home and he never sends me another quote as he said he would. Days later, I am sent a quote $2,000 more than the original! I just said forget it. I’ve wasted a month trying to get my floors done and have nothing to show for it. Choose elsewhere that values your time and money! I am now working with Soleil Floors and the experience has been much better.

He is extremely communicative (which for me is the biggest thing) and will get you on the schedule as quickly as possible. Chase was out to my place within the hour and had an estimate within 2 hours. We got scheduled in no time and the carpet was installed 5 days from when I walked in the door. Looks great and Im happy with the product, go to Lone Star and ask for Chase. Extremely satisfied.

We were in a pickle when Home Depot estimated that their carpet process from measure to install would take 4 weeks. We had less than 2 weeks prior to our move in date, so decided to take a look around. Lone Star Carpets was easy to work with, had similar prices, and could get the job done within a week. I worked with Brandon from start to finish. I talked to him Tuesday, got a quote by Wednesday, and the carpet was installed on Friday on my second floor. Ive been wanting to recarpet two bedrooms in my house. Trying to stay local, I found Lone Star Carpet and requested 4 carpet samples that they said theyd have to order from the manufacturer. This was July 30th. It was surprising that they didnt have a sample of any of the 4 carpets I was interested in, but I was in no rush. A week later they told me one of the samples was on back order. On August 28th they said they expected the sample over the weekend. Its now one month later (2 months after initial consultation) and I havent heard a word. Throughout this time I was the one periodically checking in--they havent reached out nor offered to show me the three samples they already received, and they dont accept walk-ins without an appointment, which doesnt make sense for a carpet shop. Theyre clearly not interested in the job. I understand the job is small, but I was hoping for better service.

We had a phenomenal experience with Lone Star Carpet and William McClelland from start to finish. We worked with 3 different companies to secure bids and Lone Star was by far the most straightforward, experienced, knowledgeable and honest throughout the process. They understood our unique concerns as a family with small children and one large dog with nails thatll tear up most surfaces you can put down, just when running to greet you at the door. William made time to see the floors himself, addressed all our concerns about durability, color, install, etc. and even dropped by during the install to make sure things were going smoothly. The crew who did the work were jovial, talented and fast. They moved furniture, cleared remaining items and got cracking so fast your head would spin. They completed an 800+ sq. foot job, with stairs, nosing and previously carpeted areas in one day. Invoicing was straightforward and clear with no hidden fees or extras at the end (granted we didnt ask for any, but its still nice for invoices to remain constant in a fluid situation like installing new flooring.) I will scream praising from the mountain tops for Lone Star to anyone who needs flooring recommendations and well be using them in roughly a year for carpets.
