If the option to give zero stars was available I would have done so. The lack of response and professionalism by Cristine Marie Juarez Gallegos I hope is not a reflection of the staff working at this office. Our taxes were submitted in February and I have heard nothing from Ms. Gallegos since 5/2021 in response to approximately 5 separate messages left on the HR Block app. In addition, Ms. Gallegos went on “break” without any correspondence in reference to the status of our taxesor the fact that she would be out of the office. I have spoke to Kim (unknown last name), who has been the only positive person I have spoken with. Numerous attempts to reach out to Ms. Gallegos have gone unanswered. Tax pros provide a service that the consumer pays for and when that service is inadequate or in my case completely lacking it is unacceptable. A corporate complaint was filed and I have found a new tax pro who has assured me that HR Block will represent us in the way they should.

The person who helped me with my Incometax was very patient, answered all my questions and gave me some advise. I did not have to wait, I had an appointment and I was helped exactly at the exact time I had the appointment. I am very pleased with the service and intend to come back next year. Thank you

Waited two weeks for this appointment only to be told that they didn’t have us on their calendar they asked me for my phone number and name at least three different times why if in the end you didn’t have us on your calendar I decided not to stay until they figure this out because this tells me a lot about their efficiency and knowledge

KC got me way more than I could have by myself online. He was very kind, patient, and understanding. I will definitely come back to him next year. Highly recommend! He made everything extremely easy!!

Walked in to an employee arguing with a customer. Customer wanted his money back after being audited and not receiving his refund till the fall. When she had time to speak with me, she was very rude about everything. I hadnt even paid her yet and she was looking through all my personal files rudely asking what is this?.. turns out she was the manager lol kind of reminded me of popcopy from chappelle show.

Had my taxes done at a different H&R location but they ended up missing a couple hundred back in my return. Came here to have them relooked at. I can’t remember who did them back in March but she was wonderful. Covid hit and I never made it to the location to sign the addendum to the taxes since they were previously submitted. I get a call from them earlier this week asking for me to come in to complete it. I go down there with the expectation that I only needed to sign the document and pay the $40 for the revision. I go in and sit in the lobby for 30 plus minutes as someone else looks over them. When she returned, I was told I was only receiving an extra $89 on my taxes. Knowing this was wrong, I tell her but can’t remember who did it. I go home to see if I had any docs for the revision but I only have a business card. I spoke with them again today and was asked if I paid the $90 fee to have them redone. At this point, I’m not only fed up with this location, but with H&R Block.

I love H&R Block and will continue using this service as a customer since 2013.

I went to file at hr block the one at capital plaza the guy who did my taxes Karen chhatriwala didnt finish my taxes properly I had to go back and find out that I had two forms not signed by me like how could he miss that not only that but I had a delay in my taxes because he put head of house hold instead of putting single as we do every year when we told him not to I am very unhappy because i was depending on that money coming in but thanks to Marie she is now taking care of me and the problems that he made for me

Incredibly frustrating and ongoing terrible experience. I reached out to them for assistance as soon as I got a letter from the IRS, I was told that this would be a simple fix. I provided everything they asked from the start but when I heard nothing for days on end I had to continually call them in order to get an update, and each time they ask for different information that they easily could have told me they needed from the start.Now Im still nagging them 3 weeks later Im still scrambling with no resolution in sight. I had to pay a hefty fee up front and have been left to fend for myself now worse off than I started. I expected much better from H&R Block.

Christine is very smart. Every year is perfect. She makes me feel so comfortable. Id recommend her to anybody. Like I said I divorce my husband and I kept Christine from H&R Block. Shes the best. And shes a keeper!!!#

Went into the office today to complete the process I started in January but was put on hold due to Covid. The rep was very rude and asked us to wait in our car due to Covid (which was understandable) however we waited out side in Texas heat for almost an hour. Meanwhile, another couple and a separate individual went in to complete their taxes as well and they were allowed to sit in the waiting area. I felt under valued because I was non-spanish speaking. If waiting in your car is the new standard, than ALL guest should be treated the same (and yes, we had mask on). Also, they refused to honor the 10% discount for our preparation since it expired 3 days prior. Ive been a customer with you guys since 2008, the least you can do is give me a 10% discount knowing times are hard due to Covid. I will take my business elsewhere next year.

As a foreigner it is very important getting that level of personalized attention and care.

Do NOT get an appointment with “KC.” I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes with ZERO communication as to why I was waiting and what he was up to. Had to flag a manager just to make sure I even had an appointment. Finally got over to his cubicle and he laughed off the wait time and offered a limp “sorry.” Then we sat down and he couldn’t understand me nor spoke English well, and after ten minutes of us not being able to communicate he called over a manager who quickly explained my situation and cleared up my issue, which was basically “you don’t need to file this.” So I wasted an hour at that point and walked out without using any of their services. I regret my doubt in the simplicity of TurboTax, save the gas and use your browser.

BEWARE OF H&R BLOCK!I filed my 2017 taxes at the Capital Plaza office in Austin, TX, on April 10th, 2018. I signed and paid to have my taxes sent ON TIME as required by THE LAW.Today is May 5th, I followed up on IRS.GOV the status of my returns, and guess what! H&R BLOCK NEVER SENT MY TAXES! I called the Capital Plaza office and talked to a very unprofessional and clueless employee who casually dropped the news that my taxes where never filed, that she did not have any idea why this happened.... I have NEVER filed my taxes late, never. This was my first time using H&R Block and will definitely be the last one. SAVE YOURSELF the STRESS of realizing that your clean record of paying on time WAS RUINED by these people. STAY AWAY! unless you want to pay them to do their job by calling every day until you make sure they are actually doing the only thing they should do: sending your taxes on time.
