We will NEVER use Independent Title and strongly advise anyone else to reconsider.Last November at the closing of our current home, the Independent Title officer, Laura Pagnozzi, changed the contract per the seller’s directive increasing our cost by $50K without so much as discussing it with us. After much delay, our attorney resolved what I considered unprofessional if not outright dishonesty on her part.After closing, Independent Title delayed providing appropriate documents to us and failed to return calls and emails. When my wife found it necessary to go to their office seek a response in person, the office receptionist was dismissive and flat-out rude to her.There are several other title companies in Austin (we’ve used three over 40 yrs with no problems).

I recently had the daunting task of closing on a property from out of state. Laura Pagnozzi was the representative our Seller insisted on. Normally, this might make a Buyer feel at a disadvantage. NOT AT ALL. Laura and her team are incredibly attentive and kind. They made my complex requests simple, easy, and effortless. They are responsive, patient, and competitive. Most of all, Laura went the extra mile to make sure that Im prepared for quirky tax requirements that come up in my area every fall. I so appreciate this team and will insist on using them in the future.

Misha Davis is an absolute rockstar. We closed an extremely complicated property transaction and she went above and beyond to work with all parties to get us to a close. Due to the difficulties related to the deal, she made herself available at all times and was always willing to hop on the phone when needed. I cant say enough great things about her and the organization as a whole. What an amazing experience.
