Laura at independence title was clearly not a unbiased representative for this transaction. I have never been approached personally by an employee from a title agency about my closing. She was rude, invasive, and was doing nothing but stirring up trouble between the buyer and the seller. I think the only person she was truly working for was the sellers agent. So unprofessional.

Brooke helped my husband and I close on our first home sale. She and the entire Barrera Team at Independence Title Rollingwood were punctual, responsive, friendly and made the whole experience very easy!! I initially reviewed this office when it first opened, and I was in our Education department. I have since joined this office as an Escrow Office and love it. I still give it four stars! Ha!

We just closed on a house at Independence Title and it was such a quick and easy closing, it only took us 30 minutes! Rochelle Lam and her team were awesome to work with and made sure that our questions were always answered quickly. We plan to go through Independence Title for all of our future real estate purchases.

We decided to move our closing to a few days earlier, and they were able to accommodate us last-minute. Because they were so busy, we had to wait ~20 minutes for our appointment. They did a good job of explaining all of the many documents we had to sign. They had forgot to have us sign one of the documents, so they emailed that document to use, we signed it, scanned it, and emailed it back to them; that was a bit inconvenient. That same day we were able to get our keys, and they gave us a hard copy of everything we had signed and our HOA documents. They had a small childrens room for our 4-year-old to play in while we waited to begin, so that made it bearable. They also had many snacks/treats/beverages that we could help ourselves to while we waited (the 4-year-old also enjoyed that).This is the only house Ive bought, but I thought it was relatively painless.

We purchased a condo in Austin a few weeks ago. Since it was a cash offer, we were able to close quickly. The selling agent requested we use Independence Title on Bee Caves since he has a friendship with the title agent there.We were scheduled to close on August 31. Our realtor emailed Independence on Aug 28th to see what our options for closing times were. On Aug 29th we received an email from Brooke letting us know they did not have HOA documents are we would not be able to close on time. The contract stated they would have those documents within 10 days. Independence title did nothing to help or facilitate getting the documents. We had to contact the HOA president get the documents Independence told us were not available. Once again we were set to close on the 31st. We agreed on 12:30pm.On Friday, August 31st. My husband and I took off work and drove with our toddler from Kyle to Bee Caves to close. Our realtor met us at the door with bad news. Apparently the seller had FedExed her original documents and they had not arrived yet. This meant even though we showed up with cash, they would not fund it until Tuesday, September 4th. So even though they had copies of both signed contracts and all our money we could not get the keys. They did little to nothing to help resolve the issue. Our realtor was notified by the selling agent right before our closing time. Why could Independence title not contact us and tell us, Dont bother taking a day off, we cant close today.We had planned meetings with contractors, designers and vendors in those five days we were forced to cancel. We lost thousands of dollars on deposits we had put on appliances that were scheduled to be delivered that weekend, pushing back getting bids to remodel, time we planned working on the condo over a long holiday weekend. This whole ordeal is jeopardizing the October 1st date we needed the condo ready for move in otherwise costing us more money.Once again, Independence did nothing to help or facilitate the closing. We tried over and over to work with the selling agent to at least do a lease back so we could get keys and keep our meetings with contractors and get necessary measurements to order cabinets and counter tops. The selling agent was MIA most of the day as well. We found out later that he talked to Independence but would not answer calls from our realtor.In short, I do not recommend doing business with the Rollingwood Independence Title unless you have a personal friendship with a title agent. The way they conducted themselves was unprofessional bordering on unethical. Nobody in the office lifted a finger to do anything for us to help.I will say we used Independence Title in Buda in the past and Lucinda was wonderful and extremely helpful.

Unresponsive and inaccurate. All their paperwork had to be corrected and the escrow officer never answers the calls. Stay away if you can.
