Like the last review, my move in date was canceled. It was originally scheduled for the end of august and got pushed back two days. Fine. Today they emailed again and told me that my move-in is canceled due to the resident changing their mind. We submitted our application and got approved last month just for them to tell us weeks before move in that it would not be happening. I have a baby and nowhere else to go with no other 2 bedrooms on the market. This is incredibly frustrating and inconsiderate, armature-level service. To top it off, when asked for corporate’s number, our leasing consultant claimed she could not find it. I don’t know what to do. If anyone knows the number, please post it as my family has nowhere to go.UPDATE: I am updating to say that I am so thankful for how responsive the owners have been to this situation and doing everything they could to correct it for us. I appreciate your help and feel comfortable moving forward. My family is grateful to have a place to stay like we had originally planned. They were able to help us in less than 24 hours which is more than I could have asked for.

I moved cross country to Austin and was already on the road when I was informed that my move-in date could not be honored. Three days before I planned to move in, they told me this. Their solution was either I move in two days after the move-in date or they give me back my deposit and cancel the lease. It was incredibly frustrating as I had to get extra nights in hotels that they would not reimburse, I had to reschedule movers which was a hassle in itself, and I had a pet to take care of in the meantime with no home. The leasing office was very rude and not empathetic to the awful situation they put me in. When I finally was able to move in, they didn’t seem very welcoming and kind of let me off on my own.The apartment itself is fine, but not perfect. At least the neighbors are quiet.

There were up to 8 small Hornets nests on the roof of my balcony. I reported the problem. Two days later a very nice man came out and sprayed them all. He was very careful to get all of them. They are gone now and I am very happy to say Hornet free! Thank you

Everything is fine but can you guys please cut back on watering the streets, sidewalks, parking lot area? There are slippery puddles every where and it gathers near the stair areas where people can slip and fall. It creates muddy and wet grass. This area is just constantly wet and muddy because of the sprinklers. Also the bird nests and feces piling up on the 3rd floor railings and 1st floor walkway is a hazard as well.

I have been living here for almost 4 years. my door has staples on it (we did not put them there) keeping it together. owning a pet here is like having another roommate when it comes to paying the bills. maintenance took more than a week to finish something that takes a day or two and we had to call other people because of it. the manager can be very cynical. my room was infested with fleas when we first moved in and i had a pet at the time who got so terribly infested with fleas because of it. i had given him a flea bath and the water turned red. you are definitely paying more than what this place is worth. the community is nice though. the general vibe of the community is calming and serene and the apartment style is not so bad. the maintenance people and some workers are very nice and its welcoming. overal a very mediocre apartment complex but i still dont reccomend moving here.

Ive been living in this complex for a total of over two years now, having stayed in two different units, and have no complaints. The staff is always great at addressing any concerns I may have, and its rare that I even have a concern in the first place. Management always seems to be on top of things and they listen and handle situations in such a way that makes me feel like they care about their residents. The apartments themselves are nice too, to the extent that anytime I have friends/family over Im always met with some variation of wow, nice place!. I also was able to get rid of my gym membership because the gym here has everything I need to fulfill my regimen. Not to mention Im literally walking distance from grocery stores and some great places to eat. I took a look at some of the other reviews on here and was surprised... until I remembered that most people wouldnt even think to write a review in the first place unless they were emotionally triggered somehow and want some form of revenge. Its hard for me to believe that the negative experiences would outweigh all of the positive ones being had here. I definitely recommend checking out this community and meeting with some of the staff! Great apartments at a great price point in a great part of Austin.

The leasing agent made the moving process very frustrating, like if she had no clue what was going on, but thanks to Danielle for stepping in everything started going the right direction. The only down side I felt they got the apartment ready last minute. I had to put in a few work orders, I know the maintenance do the best they can, and they dont have control of when orders arrive, but an update would be nice.They do respond in a timely manner though. Other then that these apartments are a great place to live and we are planning to renew and upgrade.

We LOVE our apartment! It is super cute and cozy, and our neighbors are very sweet. Everyone in the office is kind and easy to work with too!! Our only complaint is that we often have people racing down the street in loud cars at night and our upstairs neighbors like to wrestle with their dog everyday. It’s not really a big deal and that’s something we cannot really expect the complex to control, just food for thought if you need a quiet home.

I contacted the front office 2 weeks ago on 9/18 due to not being notified about the change to my mail service. Prior to 9/18, I had tried calling the office multiple times and left a message as well to find out what happened with my mail.When I finally was able to talk to someone on the phone, I was informed that the mailboxes in my building area were not secure and that I would need to pick up my mail at the Manchaca Post Office. Can I ask why a slip was never put on my door, as previous updates to the community? I had gone to look at my mailbox multiple times and found nothing but mail for the tenant before me.Furthermore, I had maintenance work done on my apartment on 9/21 to fix multiple issues. I had the following on the work order. 1. a/c cover is leaking water and creating rust/Tub lining is coming off - The A/C vent above my bathtub was leaking into the tub and the tub liner was coming off. I was advised when coming home on 9/18 that the A/C  drip pan was cleaned and leveled so that it can drain properly. I still have the A/C vent leak into my tub and rust stains are still showing up as proof that this has not been dealt with. The lining on the tub was never fixed and I am slipping getting into the shower and out of the shower. BOTH of these issues were listed on the work order. 2. when showering the water is landing outside the tub, onto the floor - The shower is leaking water outside of the tub onto the floor and was not fixed. Water is still leaking onto the floor after every shower taken. 3. the caulking around the tub and tile area needs to be redone ( lots of mold) - The caulking around the tub was put over the mold. How is this acceptable? There was BLACK mold in the shower even after excessive cleaning. The tile area was never recaulked and there is still black mold between the tiles on the walls. This is not acceptable and not safe! The kitchen outlets were fixed - which I appreciate. I had spoken with someone yesterday, 10/4, about pest concerns. Since the above work order was completed on 9/18, I have started to have issues with pests that I have not before. I have a mud wasp nest that formed on one of my boxes in my storage unit. I have had beetles crawling on my walls and doors. I have had ants show up out of nowhere. Worst of all, I found cockroaches in my kitchen on 9/29.Since the cockroaches appeared, I have sprayed the entire kitchen, including behind the appliances. I have sprayed the outside entry points of the apartment and every crack that I can find. Since doing this, I noticed that there are wood chip fragments between the dishwasher and cabinets. The ceiling in the bathroom is now lowering near the vent and there are holes in this lowering of the ceiling. Before I spoke with the lady in the front office yesterday, 10/4, I had MORE cockroaches appear in my kitchen. These were now crawling on the door of my fridge and I found one INSIDE my fridge. What is also concerning to me is that I have a year old service dog whose food had cockroaches in it after I filled it up on the morning of 10/4. When I had my phone conversation on 10/4, I was told I would be put on the list for pest control for this Thursday, 10/8. Please help me understand why I need to be put on a list if I am already paying $35/month on pest control and this should be an emergency visit due to the health hazard that cockroaches accompany. None of what I have experienced above is OKAY! I have pictures of my apartment and what is detailed above to help you figure out a solution with the health department.I need all of the issues listed above taken care of. What I am living in is not habitable and would you want to live in this apartment if you were paying for it each month?

Finding a place during the whole COVID-19 thing has been a process but as soon as I applied to Prescott I got 100% efficient communication and am very eager to start living here! I had looked at previous apartments but I was not greeted with the same hospitality I received here.Jacinda has been super responsive to any questions or concerns I have and would follow up to make sure all was well!I look forward to 5/28 when I can start moving in :)UPDATE:It is now August 13th and I am in love with the apartment! I live near the dog park/laundry and the lawn is always beautiful. Everyone is friendly and I have not had an issue still. I didn’t realize how convenient the location is but fast food is literally a 3 minute drive and groceries are 7 minutes. I am so happy to have chosen these apartments.

Do not live here, they will send hidden fees to collections with no communication about it. I had moved out late January and paid all fees upfront. 2 months later I have now received a call from collections asking me to pay $800 in fees. Even if you give them a forwarding address to send any remaining balance. They will close the login portal account day of moving out, which keeps you from seeing any other bills or hidden fees you may be charged with. No attempt to reach me was made via letter, email, phone, or even text. I can understand a cleaning bill of $200 maybe, but to try and scam your residence after they leave is just horrible business.

I moved to these apartments 2 months ago so far everything has been good with the apartment unit and management they are very nice and understanding. I had a few small Move - In repairs which they took care of in a timely manner. The property is always clean and well kept. There is enough parking so that your not walking long distances to and from your apartment. Also located in a nice and quiet neighborhood.

If I needed to move to Austin, I would consider this apartment complex. My daughter lived here for a year and it was awesome. The 2 BR apartment was HUGE! (Kitchen was the only thing too small). You can fit REAL furniture in these! And the price was not outrageous like some of the apartments that are charging $1200/mo for half the square footage.

I have lived here for about a month now and their service is great. I dont know who was managing before, but as of now, Joe has been a great manager. Any issues I have were addressed in a timely manner. The place is a little old, but nicely renovated. You will never miss a package and Devin has been great as well when Joe is not available. All the employees are a pleasure to deal with including the maintenance and facilities guys. Thank you for a great experience so far.

If I could say the things I truly wanted to say about this place, the review wouldn’t be allowed. To be nice, if you want to live in a decrepit, out of date, bug infested, broken down apartment, then this is the place for you. The appliances had to be over 20 years old. They never worked. And we were told we’d get a replacement when they “actually broke”. Worse than the actual apt was the management. I was hit by a truck while working one day and was no longer able to pay my rent due to medical reasons. After speaking with who I believe was Jose, or something stupid. He assured me that after having to move back to the east coast, I could pay the remainder of my rent that was due, over the next few weeks. Well, when I called Jose 2 weeks later, I was told that he couldn’t accept money over the phone, and it had to be in person. Knowing goddamn well I was on the other side of the country. Now, that amount is in collections thanks to Jose. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from here and spread the word that this place is only open to screw people. Any 5 star review on here has to be as fake as those pictures they advertise.

Management thinks that making the outside of the apartments look pretty takes priority over huge pot holes that have been sitting in a major exit/entrance for 6 months. They will cancel your service request to fix it, even though residents are driving on the wrong side of the street to avoid it, and theres a blind area where you cant see them coming.They will send you warnings about leaving your trashcan out for several days, when the issue is that their (mandatory) valet keeps skipping over your trash. Who wants to bring their full trash can back inside? Who wants to pay for a valet service to throw the trash and have them not throw it?Wanna try calling the office phone number on their website? Its a delightful little call center that takes messages for the front office, and theyll never get returned. Have a maggot infestation that has to be resolved NOW on a Sunday? Thats not an emergency, Im sorry. But their guys will gladly come out and spray for bugs next Tuesday on bug spray day.I used to recommend this place to everyone and their mother. But that was when the Fire Nation attacked. -100/10.

I have been here for 2 years now. Location is great and the staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Around 10:00 at night I noticed my thermostat read 77 degrees but the unit was sett o 75 degrees. I waited another hour and notice it was showing to be degree hotter then previous. I placed a request for maintenance and next morning recieved a call from Jacinda making me aware that my request was recieved and maintenance was made aware. Maintenance person stayed after 5 PM to finish up on my AC and got my unit up and running. I am so grateful to everyone at the Landmark Prescott . This past year with COVID-19 has been difficult . But management updates tenants regularly with changes and inspections. Rent is so high in Austin TX right now these apartments are not new. However we have big beautiful trees thru out the complex. I like it here

I never knew paying late could stop you from transferring apartments. They failed to inform me of this Rule. In 6 years I paid late 3 times. I have been livening here for 6 years! It was a nice home to me and my daughter. My daughter was 8 when we moved in. Im a single parent so we shared a one bedroom. She is now 14! I wanted to get a bigger place for my teen. I had the money to pay the fees with out a problem. I found out today I cant move because of the late fees and I am forced to renew my lease because they didnt give me enough time to search for a better home. I have to give them a 60 day notice to vacate by tomorrow and they barely sent me the renewal offer last week! I was so excited about transferring but they shot me down and I feel terrible. I have no other choice! Im stuck here. What would you guys do? I have been loyal. I have longevity and they simply did not care!

Like her name implies, Ruby is a gem, a friendly, helpful, approachable, and kind person who exemplifies customer service. Because of her, my experience living at the apartments was a good one. I have only lived here for about 3 months and in that time my car has been broken into and vandalized 3 times. Security is part of the rent but you almost never see the security guy. The location may look good on a map but in reality it is sketchy as hell. Im pretty sure the person who keeps doing stuff to my car lives here too

I would not at all recommend these apartments. The only good experience we had with maintenance was when they called in an external plumber for our garbage disposal, who told us that it was a shotty installation in the first place. The office staff, although very polite, do not seem to be able to do their jobs properly. Things were changed many times without any notification to residents, or very last minute notification. Even though we pay a $25 monthly pest control fee, we consistently had a roach problem. These apartments are way over-priced for the quality of life provided.

This place is awful. Bad management. Multiple ongoing maintenance issues. Can hear neighbors through the walls. Complaints to management fall on deaf ears. The ongoing excuse is that they are short staffed. It is an older complex, so I expected a few issues, but they are never fixed in a timely manner, nor are they fixed correctly.Trash is $40/month, not optional, but they do pick it up Sun-Thurs from your front door. Plus electricity and the standard water/sewage/trash bill. So it is pricey.

One of the cheaper apartment complexes in the area. However, you get what you pay for. The renovations theyve made are nice, but the appliances here are a joke. They are all ancient and need to be upgraded bad. The location is nice, and thats the main reason for living here. The pool is nice, but the gym is tiny. Like I said, you get what you pay for.

The water always gets turned off!!!! Despite me paying my bill on time every month! The water bill is also crazy high even though the water is out a few times every month. And the leasing office is never any help. They wont return phone calls and never seem to pick up.Also, there are extra fees for everything and its super unnecessary.If you live here you can forget about them doing maintenance in your apartment. I have been waiting for them to come for about 3 weeks now.The office staff is also very unknowledgeable. Came into the office to ask them about a note from them I received on my door and the guy at the office told me he knew nothing about it! And there was no one else there that knew anything about it!The apartment itself is okay. Very old. And not leveled at all. My fridge sits at a slant.Overall just stay away. Find your self an actual nice apartment with good management and no unnecessary fees.

Pretty safe (would recommend 2nd floor) only a couple of break ins on first floor5.Office Staff is friendly6. Gym is awesome and open 24 hrs7. Dog Park is nice8. Washers/dryers need updating9. This is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in when it comes to maintenance repairs. I have had nothing but issues in the last 3 years I have lived here. Due to the ridiculous rise in rent cost in the Austin area, this is an affordable place to live, which is why we pretty much had no choice but to renew our lease for a 3rd time last week, regretting that now. Management in the office are ok to deal with, but could be much more attentive when it comes to making sure things are taken care of correctly. I would be writing a novel if I were to share all the problems we have encountered so I will bring up the most recent. The handle of one of our toilets broke and we were unable to flush it, waited over a week and ended up repairing it ourselves. We had a leaking garbage disposal, it was replaced only to continue leaking because the repair was not done properly causing food and water to build up under the sink, asked for the worn rotten flooring of the cabinet to be replaced, probably full of rotten food and growing mold almost a week ago and it still hasnt been done. The upstairs neighbor had an overflowing toilet which started leaking sewage into our second bathroom, the maintenance came to fix the upstairs issue and said someone would be out the next day to look into the leak, this is not acceptable I would expect raw sewage leaking into someones home to be a priority and addressed right away, these are just the issues we have dealt with in the last 2 weeks. I can only hope this review is enough to light a fire under management to get something done. I am prepared to contact the corporate office of apartments as well as the Austin Tenants counsel if I do not start seeing some results asap. If you can deal with an older building with lots of maintenance issues that are not addressed, this may be a great place to live, otherwise look elsewhere.

Exceptionally high electric bills, very high water bills. They require you to pay for valet trash but never seem to pick it up. Have had no luck with maintenance fixing issues, even after 3 attempts so we gave up. My girlfriend is allergic to wasps and bees, there is a wasp nest thats too high for us to spray so we told the office. Even after, no exaggeration, 7 attempts (drawing a picture of location, showing office staff physically the location, work order after work order) the wasp nest is still there, buzzing away. Ive never written a review for an apartment before because most things I can understand/accept with apartment living, but if I save one person from moving here then Ive done my good deed. Had I read reviews on this complex I would have never moved here. Unfortunately its the cheapest complex in the area without living in the ghetto... So, choose wisely.

Im on the first floor and constantly get water leaks from outside and apartments above me. The new siding project should have taken 6 months yet consruction continues, even when your building has new siding and paint. The kitchens in a one bedroom are a joke. Absolutely no storage or counter space.

Fees, Fees and more Fees!In July a new management company took over Mission Tanglewood and ever since then things have continued to go from bad to worse here. A bunch of new fees have showed up on my utility/water bill that I never agreed to pay when I signed my lease, and now this dump has a fresh coat of paint on the outside and a new name: Landmark at Prescott Woods but still has all the same old problems it had before. Lack of communication from management or even anyone in the office, and continually charging additional fees for anything they think they can get away with seem to the normal here. Had I known the $888 base rent I agreed to pay when I signed my lease contract would turn into $975 monthly after all of their fees (valet trash service you cannot opt out of, pet fee, fee for having dumpsters on site, fee for the company that prints out the utility bill and now the fee to pay your rent online) I definitely would have chosen to live somewhere else!Now they have decided to change the rules completely along with the name and are no longer accepting any payments in the office because it takes their inept office staff too long to process that many payments...oh but theyre not bothering to tell any one THERE IS A $32 FEE TO PAY YOUR RENT ONLINE if you use a credit card and dont have a checking account!And lets not mention the strong armed robbery / home invasion where 2 people were shot that happened here in October because the management sure hasnt bothered to even notify the residents of this event! If it hadnt happened in the building right next to mine and then been on the local news that night and the next morning, I wouldnt have known either!Please whatever you do, spend your hard earned cash to live some place that they actually care about maintaining the property and respect the fact that you work hard by not constantly finding ways to nickle and dime you out of every extra penny you can hope to earn while trying to find a way out of this dump!

Had problem since the first month I moved in. They never fixed a door that I told them was broke before I moved in. Then they suddenly said the price I was quoted for a deposit was wrong after id been there a month. Made me give them $100 more. Trash piles up around the dumpsters. It sits there for months collecting rain,matresses molding and smelling. You might get a good deal when you move in but I lost a lot of awesome neighbors because the rent keeps jumping a lot every year. After so many years the older tenants on fixed income had left. And they were the best. Quiet and clean. And for medical reasons I couldnt meet there proper swimwear rules so in 3 years I was never allowed to swim. I had to move because I could no longer afford the rent. It got higher but the trash still stayed fo free!

Horrible. My boyfriend moved in almost a year ago and we have been counting down the seconds to the end of this hellish lease. Constant issues with the buildings are ignored, or fixed half-heartedly. Trash is a massive inconvenience (with trash trucks coming as early as 2AM). Management could not care less about their tenants and will make it explicitly clear. Walls and ceilings are paper thin; so you can hear every step your neighbors take and every word they say. If you know whats good for you, do not let them trap you in a lease here.

Ive been looking around the web on different review site and I have found a bunch of negative comments. To be honest, I seriously dont understand the comments that Ive seen. Ive read reviews from people complaining about the high water bill to high electricity bills, Payment for ballet trash to bedbugs to worst management.As humanity we use a lot of water so of course water is going to be high. Just look at all the things you use it for. Look at the water treatment that happens. Youre lucky that you dont drink out of the river like some people do.Id hope people would look into finances before moving into an apartment.As far as the electricity, sorry to bust any bubbles, but that is something you have control of. I dont pay more than $50 for electricity a month and I have a two bedroom 2 bath.We are lucky to have that service of ballet trash. Be glad you dont have to walk your way to the dumpster like people have to at other apartments. Trash pick up is Sunday-Thursday in case you dont know.As far as the bedbugs; its not the apartments fault or the management. Its really something you dont have control of. You can pick them up on the bus, someones house, movie theater, thrift stores, or wherever high populated locations are. EVERYBODY is at risk of that happening.Which leads to the next point ; poor management. I seriously dont understand the comments relating to this. Ive lived here for 2 years and I have not had a problem. Yes, I understand that they dont answer the phone sometimes but thats when you go in and ask to speak to someone. Even if you have to wait. Joe and Anna have been a BIG help. The management here is fantastic and I dont understand why people have opinions of bad experiences. It just doesnt make sense to me.Pay your rent on time, pay your utilities on time, put your trash in the trash bin the office provides and youre all set.If youre looking for a place to live, check out this apartment. My dad, who is a disabled vet, has lived here for years. He was charged $700 to treat bedbugs, which are apparently a repeated issue in this complex and no tenants fault at all. We are hoping to get him moved out soon. If you are looking here, look elsewhere.
