Rental car agencies can be bad during the best of times, but they are even slower, more overwhelmed, and understaffed during covid.... . This location at the Atlanta Airport is the exception. This staff goes above and beyond. Kim was professional, nice, and kept her sense of humor during a stressful check in. Brianna is always smiling and so helpful, , , and Carl took A+ care of me when I called in to extend my rental. over the phone. I could not be happier with this group of fine employees... I got a great car at a great price but the service was the icing on the cake....thank you!

I can not say enough about this car rental company. Brianna was an amazing agent! After having an issue with Routes car rental and booking.com I was stuck renting in the Atlanta airport last minute. I priced around and Advantage had the best prices. Brianna went above and beyond to help us! Can’t thank her enough in the middle of an upsetting moment. She eased our stress, gave us a good deal, and our car was great. Ran super smooth, was thoroughly cleaned, and even returning it was easy and the agent there was also so friendly. I go to Atlanta at least once a year and will be using this car rental company from now on! Highly recommend!

I had planned the perfect vacation, but when I got to the original place to pick up my rental car, I couldnt get it. I was at the Atlanta airport for 6 hours. Ms. Kim saw me sitting on a bench crying and she came over to ask me what was wrong. I explained the situation, Ms. Kim went above and beyond to help me. Because of this young lady, I had an excellent time. I hadnt visited my Mother in 3 years. God send people to you for a season, its what you make of it. Im truly THANKFUL for the season I had with Ms. Kim. Regardless of the next vacation destination, I will book my rental car through Advantage. God Bless Ms. Kim and whom ever hired her.

Online rental process was easy. Glad pickup was at the airport and close to baggage claim and check-in area. Staff was was personable and helpful with knowing the area for directions. Definitely renting with them again!

My experience was quite pleasant. I was in and out in 10 minutes. Kay was at the front and she was pleasant. I was expecting a wait time as that was a common trend with the previous reviews. I was grateful there was no wait for the car.The car was good minus the stale smell inside and it doesn’t look as if it was thoroughly cleaned. This change this review from 5 stars to 4 stars.

Big Zero. Nowhere in my rental reservation did it say a I had to have a bill (electric, water) in my name. Just ID & credit card. If it’s such an important “policy” that you will strand me without transportation, it most definitely needs to be stated in the reservation. Plans where scheduled, time was spent to get there...now more time spent & my friend’s time to get me. That’s NOT taking care of your customers at all.

Went to the airport to rent a car from enterprise, I was misinformed the clerk at the desk was very loud, rude and insulting after paying uber $57.00 to get there,was about to leave went to Alamo no luck also loud and rude, Alamo told me go to advantage and its the best thing that happened to me that day, the lady at the desk at Advantage was very polite, very knowledgeable about her job, I gave her all the information she needed, she put me in a brand new Nissan Altima was only $250.00 deposit comparing to enterprise $400.00 deposit if you have a Georgia Driver license.That lady at the desk made my day, I left with a smile, she was very patient and avery good listener.Thanks Advantage.

Horrible customer service. I went here 6 July at about 2pm and the you lady at the desk was worried more about her phone then us the customer. She was rude and had a horrible attitude. God help her soul...smh...I went left to thrifty and it was totally opposite. I see why everyone other rental car place in the airport had a line but this one. 2 years this place will be closed.

Renting with them was a breeze, my car was ready, they did a normal deposit. The only thing is they charged me $19.99 for unlimited mileage when I picked up but charged me $39.99 for unlimited mileage in my final bill. It cause my bill a extra $40 on top of $44 for me returning 2 hours later. Most companies like acid or enterprise give a two hour grace period. Not happy about my bill being $200 for one day in a compact SUV but the ease of renting was a major plus.

The service I received from Kim at the ATL airport location was phenomenal, I had been havin issues for hours with other rental company’s, when I came to Kim she assured me she would get me in a vehicle and offered a upgrade because her computer was glitching. The car was clean and up to date, not like some company’s that rent out 5 year old cars. And returning it was a breeze just dropped off keys and headed to my flight. Kim is the best and I look forward to renting from your guys again. Thanks

This place is super packed with only one attendant working. I been in this line over an hour and there is still 3 people ahead of me. I have to peee Man. I called corporate and they said they are not taking phone calls at this time 😒.

What kind of place is this....I stopped by to check rates and once I got to the counter a lady with braids immediately put a sign up that said be back in 5 mins I waited from 3:15 to 3:30 and no one showed up. I called the local number a few times and no one answered. Is this place even a legit rental car agency.

Be warned, If you have a problem in which I did with a return they will over charge you fees. Their pick up and return process is too ambitious for a large airport. Their customer service is unforgivable. Do yourself a favor rent from another company at ATL. Cheaper isnt always better

Im only giving it a 3 star because the staff who attended to me at the airport was very nice. But their return policy is not very fantastic. Directions for the entrance to the return slot was virtually on existent (unlike Hertz and Enterprise). Nobody to attend to me when I dropped off the car.

Recently traveled to Atlanta was unable to find availability using the more popular rental car companies and came across Advantage Rent A Car. They had availability, I was able to reserve a vehicle online. I went to the airport and the entire process from counter to keys was about 20 minutes. I had not heard of Advantage prior to this experience but theyre my new go to for rental cars.

The first car had dents and dings around the whole car. The bumper was slightly detached from the body of the vehicle. The second vehicle (another Dodge Caravan) had not been cleaned. This is a huge no-no amidst COVID19. Also, worker who dispenses the cars did not have on a mask and breached the 6 ft COVID rule.

At the Atlanta, GA Airport: Customer service was terrible! I had to wait 1 hour to pick up my car. The person at the counter tried to scam me into buying insurance I dont need. I had to call my insurance agent to reassured me that I dont need their insurance. I had reserved a Nissian, but when I finally got a car, it was a Hundai. It was all dented up. Ive never seen so many damages with a rental car! I was very worried that I will be blamed for damages. I had to thoroughly document all of the dents and stains outside and inside the car. I also took pictures. There were the same make and model cars parked in the lot so I asked to take another car and the woman at the counter refused to give me another car, saying that it was reserved for someone else. Why is that reserved, but I had to wait for my car? Others ahead of me had to wait also. I asked for the manager at the lot, I waited for another 1/2 hr and no one came. I still had to drive to Columbus, GA (Almost a 2 hr drive) so I couldnt wait any longer. On my way to the hotel, the warning light went on. It was because the one of the tail lights wasnt working! There no number to report a problem so I had to take my chances for the next two days. The only thing that worked out as expected was the ease of return. DO NOT rent a car from Advantage at the Atlanta, GA Airport!

I reserved a full size sedan online and when I went to pick up my rental, front lady tells me that she doesnt have any full size sedans and just changed the type of my rental right then to a small SUV. Moreover, the full size sedan was supposed to be 330 (for 4 days) but it suddenly became 420 usd (for 4 days). I dont necessarily think going from Avalon or similar vehicle to a freaking Nissan Kick is an upgrade so I dont understand what the 90 dollar increase was for. Also I struggled finding the right spot to return the rental too because they go by Advantage Rent a car online but when you get the key it becomes E-Z rental cars. Good luck to those who try to rent with this company.

Made online reservation and went to check in counter. There was a sign “back in 5 minutes” waited for 15-20 minutes. Another young man joined me and we waited together for the attendant to get back. Once the attendant (Jason) arrived with a bag of food and a second employee, he asked “how long have you been waiting” when I said 15-20 minutes he said your a liar and told me he watched me walk up as he was walking away. To add insult to the situation, Jason wanted to continue to argue with me about the time he was gone for. He said there’s a camera on the wall behind him and he was sure he want gone but for 10-15 minutes. After this I said to cancel the reservation and then happily went to Budget car rental and paid $138 (three times the rate) with no hassle and wast treated with respect. Can believe how they expect to rent cars when they have such poor mannered employees.Jason and his buddy should both loose there job for how they treat customers. Never use this company!!

CRIMINAL RACKET. Advantage rented me an UNSAFE vehicle at the Atlanta Hartsfield Intl airport and are involved in a RACKET to get their customers to pay for worn tires. The tread on both front tires of the Dodge Caravan we rented was worn flat. We didnt think to look at the tread when we were inspecting it because we assumed we were getting a safe car. We rented the car on a thursday. By Sunday morning we found the driver side tire separated from the wheel causing the tire to completely deflate. This was not a slow leak caused from a nail. Advantage does NOT provide a spare and jack so we had to tow it to a local repair shop. At the repair shop, we did not find a nail when they filled it with air. Lf and Rf Tread depth was measured at 1/32nds. As I inspected the wheel when it was on the lift, the tire literally separated from the wheel, which caused a loud POP and BLEW IN MY FACE. I am lucky i didnt lose an eye. We had to buy a new tire. We brought the ruined tire to the Advantage rental and the manager went to look at it. When he returned, he showed me a NAIL lodged into the tire. It was so new it was SPARKLING SILVER. As if somehow the professionals at the repair shop missed it. Since this proved they didnt rent me an unsafe car, he offered me a 20% discount for my trouble. You have got to be an idiot to think this MANAGER working Sunday December 22nd around 4PM, didnt try to swindle me. In addition, when we returned the car my partner got out to show the woman inspecting the car the ruined tire. We watched her go inside the car to look at the speedometer. When my partner went back in to collect his things, his cell phone that had been sitting in the center consul was GONE. We spent 20 minutes frantically looking for it. We had already been through enough that day trying to catch our flight. It wasnt until the manager came back to show me the nail in the tire at the office, did they miraculously find the cell phone! BOTH THE MANAGER AND THE INSPECTOR ARE CRIMINALS. I will be reporting this to government watch dogs, the police, my attorney. And I expect a full refund and reimbursement for the cost of the new tire. See photos attached to see the front worn out tire verses the rear tire.

The Atlanta pickup experience is a dreadful joke. Every other car rental company has a counter in the car rental center. Advantage has one, with a sign telling you to go downstairs to a secondary location. When you arrive there, there’s yet another sign that tells you to wander around the parking garage until you see their booth. With luggage and kids that’s a non-starter. Every other car rental company figured it out except Advantage. The car was relatively cheap, but smelled heavily of fresh cigarette smoke, of which I am very allergic. Agent said “oh well, mark it on the form” and shrugged. I reserved a full-size car and received an Altima, which is a mid-size car, NOT full-size. Meanwhile, an *entire row* of full-size cars was available. Then, while completing the forms, we happen to notice an email printed and taped to the booth stating that you cannot leave the states of GA, AL, or SC!! Can’t take it out of a four-state area or there’s a $1,000 fee? THAT IS PREPOSTEROUS. And this is NOT mentioned when reserving a car, and wouldn’t have been mentioned had I not seen the tiny email printout taped to the booth glass. This was an absolute joke of an experience I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I learned my lesson to always go with the main national chains and not the lowest price from a name no one has ever heard of. A complete joke. Stay away!

They came up with some new rules for Ga. Residents. Also we had a major credit card, but they said we had to have a bill. Also they want 400.00 deposits and it had to be on the same card. I dont think they had anymore cars. Never again. Putting miles on our car as we speak.

I knew they had poor customer service at the Airport kiosk within five minutes of confirming my reservation and then having to cancel it. Make sure you read the terms and conditions on their website because apparently that’s their only resolve and low standard for their ‘customer service experience’. I will never book with them again or recommend them to friends and family. Total waste of time and big inconvenience for my spring break vacation plans.

I made reservations with this company. I realized I wasn’t going to make it in by my scheduled pick time due to unforeseen circumstances. However I called and spoke to someone to hold my reservation. Once I made it to the Airport the car wasn’t available. To make matters worse my partner grandmother passed and I got the news at the rental station. So we were stranded at this point. I will never book her again because there word and a credit card reservation means nothing.Sincerely very disappointed

The Worst car rental company I ever dealt with! I am in the parking lot as I type because I could not wait to write a review, I just wished I would have checked the reviews before but Why do you need a utility bill in your name? And I provided my Ga driver’s license. Why you can’t use a debit card? Why is it that at Atlanta airport no Employee is on site at the rental counter? I had to go to EZ rent a car because I was lucky to have stopped an employee that works for EZ car rental. I could go on and on but most importantly it’s not unlimited mileage even though when you book online it clearly says unlimited no where says an additional $20 for unlimited miles. DONT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! It’s a waste of time no employees on site, and you need a utility bill even though your a resident of Ga. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

The onset of getting the car at the counter in GA, was fairly straight forward, but directions given verbally to us both to pick up the car was downstairs & to the Left were not totally accurate. The drop off was totally fast and efficient. The young man who checked our rental car out for inspections was the same man who checked us back in when we returned our rental. He was friendly, helpful, and even asked how my sons graduation was (he remembered). This young man enjoys his job and it shows. Keep up the great job young man!!

One agent doing EVERYTHING. The line was brutal. We might have saved a few bucks in the rental. But I’ll never submit myself nor my family to an hour and a half of waiting even with a reserved and confirmed reservation. Worst wait ever. And the sign to go find the outdoor kiosk is terrible. It’s confusing and it’s not clear. “You get what you pay for”, I suppose! First and last time I’ll rent from this company.

The girl LaKawanza at the counter bold face lied to me while upgrading me into a more costly vehicle. She spoke, I can get you in a Mini Van for a DISCOUNTED rate! as if she was giving me a different car class at a discounted price because they were out of the car I reserved. She not only charged me more, 30 bucks a day, but lied to my face when I asked her what the total cost of the vehicle would be with the deposit included. I was happy about that discount that I THOUGHT I was getting. Like whos happier to spend more money in this day and age. She knew she what she was doing and knew we werent on the same page. I asked her numerous questions to ensure we were on the same page and to all she agreed. Not only do they not offer you the rental agreement to go over before you sign, they print it out and hand it to you in a way that hides what you agreed to. Just dont appreciate getting clearly taken advantage of at ADVANTAGE CAR RENTAL. It didnt make for a happy holiday. Called the customer service line told them what transpired and they were very helpful. Only to say we just pass info on. Which is fine! Now I cant get anyone to return my call about my complaint. I received an EMAIL from a Charles Davidson asking that I call him. I left my number for them to call me. Why do I have to chase you down. Your company provided the service that Im unhappy with. It is an attempt to say, We responded! But now there is no communication from their end. I was given a number to call that goes to a relay that makes you leave a message. I left two and still nothing. Needless to say Ill probably book direct from now on and definitely not with Priceline and Take Advantage Care Rental Atlanta Airport!!! As an Atlanta Native (Florida Resident) I knew better than to go with a second rate company. Ill stick to the Majors from now on. But I guess that was my Welcome Back to Atlanta where the scammers scam. Felt good to be home! NOT

I reserved a vehicle through Priceline, upon arriving at the counter there was a sign saying go to the lower level desk. After searching and asking around we found the supposed desk with a sign that said back in 15 minutes!After waiting 15 minutes ( clearly this meant went home see you tomorrow)we went to Budget and rented a vehicle and was on our way. Advantage is a joke, I guess you have to give (1) Star to post.

Had to walk to other agencies to find a car so i didnt miss my meeting. Dont let their dirt cheap price fool you. You get what you pay for our in my case i didnt even get that.

I waited in the heat for nearly an hour as there was only one worker, who was cool. The car available was not cleaned but, I accepted it because I needed a rental.I was promised a 20% discount for this when I return the car, to no avail. The experience was closer to terrible. Horrible Service! As a frequent traveler and car rental customer I’ve experienced both great and poor service. I always have my company try different rental services from time to time in order to give back steady patronage to good businesses. Advantage has so far provided the worse service.I booked a rental online for a large vehicle, I arrive at the counter and the rude male representative states the next vehicle won’t be available until approximately 45 min to an hour. Okay, so I asked if there’s anything else available now, I will take a smaller vehicle with no problem, but unfortunately the response I received is that the smaller vehicle will cost more! Now does that make any sense?? So instead of this rep saying okay I’ll see what I can do like any other rental company would do, this individual gives me attitude and says I either can wait for the other vehicle or cancel my reservation. Ridiculous! But too easy, last time that I, anyone in my company, family and friends gives them any business. However I’m willing to see if management will do anything to rectify this, will certainly update this review.

This had to be the WORST experience ever... we arrived at the Atlanta airport around 9am... after getting to the counter to get the car we reserved (the counter experience wasnt the worst but not the best customer service either).we go down then back up to retrieve our car.1st car check engine light on2nd car was like a matchbox3rd car we finally get to drive off the lot..(this is after 2 hours spent with this company) we were going down the freeway we her a big snap we were thinking something hit the car no no no.. it the window panel flying off... we had to ride down the freeway holding it so it wouldnt come completely off and we were to blame.I called the ONLY number they have no direct number fir me to waist another 30 saying we had to take the car back to the airport. keep in mind we have been in Atlanta for 5 hours and 2 of them was already spent with this company... we get back to the counter the customer lady was very nice & funny (the ONLY good thing)4th vehicle LOL.. a joke... that car ran so loud.. it needs a rotate and balance of the tires...we came to the conclusion that they do not service these vehicles because no rental car should give anyone this much trouble...ALL VEHICLES WE INSPECTED FOR USE WERE SCRATCHED UP LIKE A SUBWAY...our return day.. the check in lady was so rude we couldnt do anything but LAUGH because we had to be on a TV show to see if we would crack under pressure...our bill was charged an extra 63 and we were trying to see why.. we asked to speak with a supervisor after waiting 30 mins he said he would call in 30 mins.. I am back home in my bed 7 hours later he was given 3 different numbers for contact just in case one was in flight needless to say we hadnt heard from him as of yet

Where to start? Covid or not, customer service should never be slacking, which was definitely happening at Advantage in Atlanta airport. Was having a great day, had already reserved a car with Advantage, and headed to car rental center after getting off plane. Immediately I noticed there was a lack of signs to actually get you to the Advantage counter, so after turning in circles I finally find it but no one at counter. Instead there was a small sign pretty much saying “we’re downstairs at a kiosk across from Sixt.” Well, if I hadn’t seen that sign, I would’ve gone downstairs to where Advantage ACTUALLY is located, which is across the street, but I went to the place that didn’t make sense and still spun in circles till I finally found their tiny, TINY sign hung above a little kiosk in the corner.So finally I’m there and the guy helping wasn’t rude in what he said per say, but actually, who knows? Because I couldn’t ever hear him. FOUR TIMES I asked him to speak up because come on people, If we have to deal with masks and shields and glass, we need to SPEAK UP. I’m a young person with good hearing and this guy is straight mumbling. So after every question I’m practically leaning under the glass into his kiosk just to hear him and asking him to repeat, and he does in same volume and tone. That in my opinion is rude. Obviously you don’t care about the customer. So we go through this and finally he mumbles “kwjchakhxjsjd.” Again, WHAT. Finally understand he’s telling me he doesn’t have a car to give me.“But I made a reservation.”“Hsjgnjehfjdj.”“PLEASE SPEAK UP.”“Sorry but no cars available.”Lol! What’s the point of making a reservation if I can’t reserve a car?!? So he offers me a mini van to replace a ghost compact car but I’m doing a ton of driving on my trip and idk what mini van gas mileage is because he only tells me “hajfjajdh” which translates to “it’s probably not that bad.”Now I wonder later if they could in fact have given me a car after a small wait after cleaning or whatever, which I wouldn’t have minded doing. But who the heck knows because I could never hear anything he was saying, and I decided to move on to someone who would actually help me. Covid is frustrating enough; poor customer service doesn’t help. This will be the last time I attempt to rent with Advantage.

They might be cheaper than other rental companies but it is not worth it. They cant guarantee you a car if they overbook. At that point its first come first serve, it doesnt matter if you had a reservation. My entire trip was ruined. At the airport, there is only one person working. He does check in, check out and everything in between. Wait is about an hours just to speak to him. He also looks like he is over it so forget about customer service!

I will never do business with them again. Made a reservation months in advance and we show up today to them telling us they have no cars and it might be an hour and a half until we can get a car since they have four other families in front of us. It was me, my wife and sister in law plus our 5 kids, all seven and under. When we started questioning them how we had a reservation but they don’t have any cars they laughed at us. They said it wasn’t there problem.

My experience was amazing! I was supposed to be renting from one car company, but my flight was delayed and they cancelled my car. I was able to book last minute with Advantage, and not only was it easy, I got a free upgrade because the type of car I wanted wasnt available, though the site let me book it. I didnt ask, the Attendant did it on her own. The pricing was fantastic, the car clean, in great condition and checkout was equally as smooth. I just got home from my travels, but have already recommended them to everyone who asked about my trip. I look forward to doing business with them again.

After making 2 reservations with 2 other rental companies, Advantage saved the day! I needed a large vehicle to transport my daughter and her stuff to college. The advantage agents were super helpful and friendly! They saved me! I honestly dont know what I would have done if it werent for them! I highly recommend this company. Ok so I went online August 9 I believe to reserve a van for my vacation . Well after I set everything up with the rental company thinking my vehicle would be waiting on me when I got there to pick it up. Hahaha umm not the case they didnt even have what I reserved a week and a half ago on site nothing even close. Well not only that but the well I will be nice lady at the counter she was rude at the very start of me walking up to the counter she was short with me not even trying to hear what I was asking let alone even listening to me at all I dont think. I got I little loud with her to express my feelings about how I was being treated she just said call the main office see what they tell you and turned away. I have never been treated this way as a paying customer. Take my advice dont waste your time hell let alone her time please go somewhere else if you plan on getting what you ordered or even getting a answer about anything. Very very very upset and I will tell everyone I ever see about this encounter with Advantage rent a car they should be ashamed of calling there self a company.

This was my first time renting from advantage.I have rented from many other companies. I was a little skeptical due to the reviews. but to my surprise everything went better than I anticipated. The counter was easy to find. I gave my confirmation number. got my car. I couldnt find a employee to help but After I figured out how to adjust the seat and mirror .I was on my way. The reason I rate it 4 instead of 5 is because I feel the employees can use a little more customer service training.other than that Im a happy customer and I will rent from them again.

The people at reception were RUDE, dint had the car which I booked. And they gave me a VAN. I had to pay for a higher upgrade car since I dint wanted that van being offered. Plus the rate which I got online on Priceline for the rental car booking was without tax!! YES THEY FOOL YOU!!! and at the pickup you have to pay for taxes too. This ideally took me about 2 hours to get this fixed and I was late for my meeting. I would not recommend this if you looking for a rush. I only booked it online because I dint wanted to wait and get to my destination faster. The reason for this pick was it was at the airport pick up with the shuttle of Advantage. PLEASE CALL BEFORE MAKING THE BOOKING. Hope this helps others too.

Smooth transaction getting off the plane and into a car after a long flight, carrying luggage. No reservation was needed. The staff was so courteous, five star treatment, love it. Military friendly and the best part, the car only had a few miles on it (less than 100). My type of service... 👍

Advantage Rent a Car gets my vote! They are upgraded to use the chip on the credit/debit card! The other rental car companies need to get with the program!! Also, Advantage has EXCELLENT customer service at the GA Hartfield International Airport!! Everyone one I came into contact with was AWESOME! I will be a repeat customer! FYI: The website is very thorough and easy to navigate! I love the pre-pay option too!

Definitely the worse experience Ive had with renting. Usually the airport does pretty good with rentals, but I waited about an hour with my daughter. Then told I would get an upgrade for the inconvenience, only to be told that wasnt the case when I got to the parking garage. Was told they could try to find me an upgraded vehicle but I would be incurring the cost. No thank you!! It would definitely have to be a very special case if I were to rent from them again.I had 2 stars at first but only gave the third because the vehicle wasnt that bad.

Thank you Advantage. I arrived in Atlanta after a frustrating day of travel with delayed flights and cancellations. By the time I got to the advantage counter, the cars were all gone due to high demand in the Atlanta area. Even though things were quite hectic, the staff were courteous and friendly. Martinique was a such a professional. She could tell I was distressed and took the initiative to help me find a car. Everyone I came into contact with at Advantage was kind and courteous, going the extra mile to make sure I receive the car as soon as possible. The agents were nice & helpful. The vehicle however was dirty & smelled like smoke, multiple scratches & dents. The smell got worse as the day went on, then I noticed that it looked like someone used the door side cup holder as an ash trey & the crumbs under the seats were disgusting. I tried the local number that the agent wrote on my agreement- never received an answer, I called the 800# and they said they had no way of reaching the local office. I travel a lot & will not use this company again- it’s only day one- I have 3 more days with this smelly, dirty beast of a vehicle.

I have never had such terrible customer service renting a car. After saying I didnt want an upgrade 3 times they still charged me for one. After calling multiple times to find out why all the extra charges, I was told there was nothing that could be done. Advantage Rentals is walking a fine line between badly trained employees and outright fraud. Stay away from this company!!

If I could give them a zero I would! I reserved a compact car or higher at a compact price. They try to put me in a minivan which I didnt want because Im not comfortable with that vehicle so they try to up charge me for another class of vehicle without informing. I said give me a compact as I asked and they claimed that I reserved the manager special which is not what my reservations stated when I made my reservations.If they would have stated the company picks the car and it would be a minivan, I would not have made this reservation.Poor customer service and not accommodating

FRAUD ALERT!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY. Added charges after I had already paid for this. Never was told there were any additional fees. Call center in Guatemala sends me a fake bill and tries to negotiate the fee. Wont give me the name of the person or number of place I rented it from. I told him no...I did not agree to this and there was no upgrade. Looks like this is a common practice. Shaking down customers is their business model it looks like. Will never use again.

Advantage rental car put me at a Dis-Advantage! I wish I could give them 0 Stars. This is my 1st and last time renting from Advantage. I arrived to the counter to find that they did not have my reserved car available and would not have any for another hour. They then charged me for an upgrade to get a different tier car when it was because they didnt have any cars. Anyway, the truck drove fine and I returned it 6 hours early. The agent scanned the truck in and told me that was all. I get an email the next day saying that they never received the truck an to call to extend the rental. I called customer service number who had to reach out to Atlanta that were not available. Customer service stated I would get a call within 48 hrs, I didnt. In the meantime, my CC has been charged an extra $107 in addition to the hold not being removed from my account. I contact Atlanta directly, no answer and only voicemail from which I never received a call back.I randomly get an email at 2am in the morning with the receipt with the time that I originally turned in the truck. I assumed that my deposit hold and extra charges would be removed. No, I had to contact customer service for this to be done. I have never, ever rented from a company who had this many failures in 1 day. It was unacceptable and I wouldnt do it again.Please beware renting from Advantage.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

When we arrived, they had no cars available and told us it would be a MINIMUM of a 1.5 hour wait. We had prepaid, but they didn’t care about that.Also, when we reserved, we chose the rate where the company assigns the class of car to you when you arrive. Most other companies then give you whatever car they have most of. Not Advantage. No, they assigned us to the car they had the LEAST of..... a minivan, behind three families with kids.Now I have no objection to driving a minivan, but why would you assign customers to the car class you have the least of? The agent kept telling us it was because of the rate we chose, as if to say that because we had chosen a company-choice rate we were being penalized with a car that was not available, but if we paid more, then they could get us into a car more quickly. I think they call that bait with a lower rate, then switch to a higher rate when the lower rate object is not available.The rental counter agent was nice and even-keeled despite my immense frustration. He was the only bright spot in an otherwise horrible experience.

They do not honor your reservation. I reserved a compact at $17/day, but they wanted to give me a van. When I refused, then they said the rate had increased to almost 1/3 more per day. Then they offered me a discount rate of $15/day. The total bill estimate from Expedia was under $80. My final bill was over $125 because they added a $45 upgrade charge. Upgrade from compact to compact?! Avoid this company. They will scam you.

If you dont mind waiting in long lines, then definitely rent from them. Ive never had a bad experience customer service wise, everyone is always very pleasant, but the lines are always really long. I keep booking with them though because they are very reasonably priced and take debit cards, which a lot of other car rentals do not

My boyfriend is 23 and as you may know, its not exactly cheap getting a rental car when youre under 25. Well, Advantage has the lowest underage fee, hands down. They also accept debit cards which is extremely convenient. This was the easiest and fastest time Ive had getting a rental car. Definitely going to be a loyal Advantage customer from now on. Cheap, easy, and fast!!

Was told that the EZ toll if not used I would not be charged. Upon return we are charged $49.95 for 9.99 per day that we never used and told we will be charged. Asked upon rental if any additional drivers, we thinking for emergency I am the wife and was also charged $67.00 for a additional driver. Had to call argue and then offered a voucher for next time use. I will never use them and please do not use them. Had to request for supervisor for over 30 minutes then argue with her that I want my money back. Then offered 20% back on the additional driver of $16.00 a joke. I told her O NO I will not accept this I want my money back. I will write or call who every I have too. Then I was given 50% refund on both . I still will per sue the other half. They are a unfair company and I will remember this and never rent from them again.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!! Twice Ive had a reservation and conveniently they didnt have the car I chose in an effort to charge me for an upgrade. I cancelled my first reservation but I had my grandson this time so not much option. The counter lady should NOT be the face of this company. Her manners and people skills are garbage. The garage attendant started a fight with me after she got caught not doing her job correctly. that job was to make ME inspect the vehicle for damage, at 2 in the morning, carrying a 3 month old. This company seem to be failing badly. I usually rent from this location at ATL. But today will be the last. Customer service is horrible from the people in the garage. They need to inspect there cars better and not leave it to the customer. Someone who is well trained needs to look at the cars. I’m tired of being blamed for stuff I did not do. Poor lighting in the garage allows you not to see everything. Twice in two years I’ve been blamed for a little chip in the windshield. I have a team of people who fly around the country and I will be telling them to stay away from here. They will blame you for everything.

I waited in line for almost an hour and when I got to the front of the line the agent who was helping me told me that there would be no cars available for an hour. I had reserved the car back in NOVEMBER for an April trip. I was in line at 10:15am to get my car which was scheduled for pick up at 10:30. The agent told me there were no cars at 11:15. Why reserve a car in the first place? Then I was told I can go elsewhere to get a car if I want. Thanks for the help.....

Most of us tend to shop prices for rental cars. But because of how Advantage treated my spouse, active duty military, when he was trying to get home to his post on 9/11/2001, ...telling him and his nurse “no charge for driving from Colorado to Texas, we are lifetime clients. This is a company with a heart and ethics. Our car was nice and clean...the people are hard working and do their best for their customers. And to be honest? Many customers do not bother to treat these folks with the dignity and thanks that is their due. Plus, Advantage has a good rewards program.

Advantage Rent A Car needs to stop taking bookings they are unable to fulfil.I booked/paid weeks in advance and flew thousands of miles only to get told that they didnt have any cars right when I desperately needed one (at 11pm in a city where I had never been in my life) to get to my hotel. I will add this message was conveyed extremely nonchalantly without any empathy for the customer.It took a lot of me complaining and practically shouting to get the customer service agent to do something about it. In the end I was given a minivan with the cursory explanation that this was all they had and I was welcome to go try one of the other rental agencies next door.This was definitely one of the worst experiences with a car rental agency that I have ever had.

Two persons were very helpful, the guy collecting trash, helped us, two seniors, get across the street, since the elevator was not working, after walking the full length of the garage, we could not do escalators with luggage. When I dropped off the car, I forgot my ID, a nice guy found it and took it to the counter in the next building where I was able to pick it up, they are the 2 stars. Overall, I was given two prices when I signed in on 8/4 far more than expected, was told it would be refunded and I see that is not going to happen. Also, I will never use this company ever again.

We were were not impressed with this car rental in Atlanta airport. They were very slow. We waited over an hour with only 15 people in line. They did not try to get people through the line quickly. They also tried to sell us on prepaying for a fuel fill up like it was so important. He even mad the comment well theres no diesel stations near the airport. Really?! Thats terrible customer service! We found one just fine. That shows that its not what is best for the customer but about whats most important to them.

Rented a car for Sept long weekend and denied the insurance and other extras that the Rep mentioned. But she NEVER EVER mentioned about the toll admin charges. Apparently, I took a toll accidentally and it charged 0.86$, but the rental company charged 25.86$ on my card. When I called the customer care agent and said, if only the representative should have mentioned this, I would have either expected my charges or if she had given any other choice to not be charged such high admin fee, I could have taken it. But NOTHING was mentioned or offered.And the Rep mentioned, its a clause in the FINE PRINT at the back of the agreement and its at the very end, bullet point 8, about these charges. I was like, who reads all that? The things which the rep offers, is what we care about and she should have mentioned it and I could have gone for anything cheaper than 25-50$ admin fee. And she was RUDE enough to say, you have to go through fine print. Well, lesson learnt.1. NEVER rent AdvantageI have rented with so many other car rentals and no one over charged me like this. And whatever is the toll charge, will be put on the card after a weeks time.So, always ask about these charges in advance and if you are at Advantage, just skip it! You are better off going to other rentals

The name serves them right because they take advantage of the costumer!!!I rented a car during my stay in Atlanta on June 11 and everything was smooth until after I returned the car. They charged me a $200 deposit and they said that I was going to get my money back within two weeks after returning the car. Well, its been almost 2 months and I havent got my money back. I called them numerous times and they said that the money have been released that I should contact my bank, well I did and they said they havent received anything from these crooks. Upon arrival from 24 hour journey, I went to the rental desk to collect my car which had been booked through my travel agent back home. The rental company had no cars left except for one which was allocated to me. The was charged an upgrade as the vechile was more luxurious than the car I had booked. I contact customer service who were only willing to provide me with 20% discount on the rental fee. This was not any fault of my own and I feel that the car should have been charged at the same pre booked rate. Poor service. I do not recommend Advantage at all.

I booked a rental for New Years Eve through a third party site. I get there the day of to be told if Ive never booked with them before the miles arent unlimited when on the third party site it was listed as unlimited. The young lady informed me it was in the fine print. Thank goodness I went with enterprise with no problems and they had plenty of cars for my last minute booking.

Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Really good price. Will rent from again. I had a slight issue with my reservation but the ladies at the customer service kiosk gladly fixed it for me! It was a great and hassle free experience. They werent pushy for insurance as I told them my own covers it. No problem at all.

Very friendly and courteous staff. My only issue is I reserved the car on Priceline, and paid in full (or so I thought). Then when returning the vehicle was charged another $45. So a one day rental cost me $92 not $47 as I initially thought. You also leave a $200 deposit, which is totally standard.

Ended up paying over $600 to rent a car from Wednesday night at 10pm till Tuesday morning because my flight was messed up. That is not including the gas I put in it to fill it up. Was supposed to leave on a Sunday but ended up leaving Tuesday. I was told one price on the phone when I called to extend it and when my final bill came it was not that price and was outrageous. Was told I could use my free day when I extended it than was told I couldn’t. No one really wanted to work with me or help me out. Asked to speak to a supervisor but he was too busy to talk to me. Very unprofessional and extremely expensive. I have never paid that amount to rent a car, even on long road trips for longer than a week. It was awful!
