It was suppose to be a washer/dryer Yearly Maintenance check. However,he was only here about 15 minutes at the most. In years past , they have always taken at least 30-45 Minutes doing a thorough check of both and gave me any tips or advice on the washer and dryer preventive Maintenance I should be doing. He was here & then gone. Just said everything ok and left. Actually this is Phyllis Pierce, I was the one who called and set up the appointment and had the few minutes of interaction with whomever he was. He didnt even give me his name. I assume he was a third party company hired to do the Yearly Maintenance agreement?

I have a Sears Master protection agreement I purchased on my appliances I bought directly from Sears, but getting Sears to fulfill their obligations through the warranty has been a nightmare. I have had a broken fridge for nearly 3 months and they are refusing to replace it (per the warranty) and they keep sending out contractors instead of actual Sears technicians stating that they have no Sears technicians in my area (but whenever I place a service call not under my warranty [meaning I have to pay] they have a Sears technician show up). The 3rd party contractors are from trash companies they repair technicians are incompetent and rude and they are the ones breaking my fridge. Sears is even worse I have been calling daily expressing my anger at this situation and all they do is say “we are sorry let’s reschedule”!!!! They say my fridge doesn’t qualify for a replacement because it’s fixable even though after 13 service calls in less than 3 months no one has fixed it!!!!

What a joke! I scheduled a repair a week out for a broken refrigerator, which was under warranty. A week later, the technician never showed up. I received no text messages, no phone calls, nothing. When I called the next day they informed me that the technician had called in sick. The soonest they could get me another appointment was a week later. Imagine, its almost like it was my fault that their technician called in sick... Two weeks without a working, under warranty, refrigerator and Im still waiting. I wouldnt wish Sears customer service on my worst enemy! BEWARE!

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. They have come to “repair” the ice maker 4 times in 3 months and try to charge me every time though it should be a recall appoint. Turns out the original technician did not install it properly and put no records of his subsequent visits though he charged me. I had to print my credit card receipts to show proof of visit. The customer service is horrible and impossible to get them on the phone.

We did not have a great experience this time. We were not called in advance of the repairman showing up, as we usually are and as we were told we would be. Then, when I asked what he had done during the repair (so I could explain it to my husband later) I did not get a clear answer in spite of my questions. Then, about 20 minutes after the repairman left, a plastic piece spontaneously fell out of the ice maker! Lastly, one of the issues was not fixed. We are very frustrated. I now need to call again and get someone back out here after waiting a VERY long time for the most recently installed part to be in.

Took 3 months of long delays, phone calls and 3 different tech visits to get repair done on ice maker. On final tech visit a Tek Squad tech came and said all the parts were not needed and was mad he had to work to get the old ice maker out. He took new parts with him that were not his and we are not sure if he actually installed the new control board either. Imagine we will have to call them again to get repaired in a few months.

Always used Sears to make repairs on washer in years past. Now they charge too much $$$. Twice as much...$260 to replace a $25 part that takes 15 min to install. They wanted $400 to to a job that also takes 30 min. ..the big fee is labor. Hmmmm. Im willing to pay half of that. Just feels like they are overpriced. Paid the $89 diagnostic fee and called it a day. Technicians are professional but seem snobby. Would rather call a small local business from now on.

Sears warranty is a joke. Called for repairs and the recording said the hold time was 396 minutes to speak to someone. I am sick of companies using COVID as a excuse for poor service. After two hours of holding they disconnected me. Been trying to get Sears to fix my freezer since June and it is now almost December. Finally got a call saying I was finally approved for a replacement, but they did not give me any information on how to get a replacement. Now when you call try to call them back you can NEVER get anyone. Just hours of hold time. What a mess and rip off. DO NOT buy or use the Sears warranty and repair service.

Had Sears come out to fix icemaker on my Whirlpool refrigerator, technician said it was a faulty sensor. I asked him replace the part, which he did, he then said that it start making ice within a few hours. 24 hours later still no ice, I called him telling him the problem, he then told me I have to call Sears to schedule another service call. So I called Sears back and told them of the problem, Sears told me that they could not get another person out for 2 weeks. I explained to them that I was moving before that appointment time and asked if they could make it sooner. Sears then said they could not help me any faster. $700 for a repair that was not fixed. Sears used to be an American icon for quality and service, not any more. Very unhappy with technician, service and customer support.

I have the Sears maintenance Agreement, for both the Washer and my Dryer. the first technician that came and then ordered the part, at the time i was pleased but no followup seemed to be done from Sears when the part Back ordered. The first tech that came for the washer said he had only worked a few years for Sears but of course was not the tech number that I initially requested. The service on April 29, the Tech ID 794032, This tech even though just working a shorter time for sears was very thorough doing all that needed to be done to make sure that i would be able to wash clothes, have them clean and without holes in the clothes. Tech 794032 was professional, Arrived on time, practiced all the CDC safety protocols and made sure I was a satisfied customer before he left. He actually did the type service I would expect from a Sears maintenance and technician, unlike what I experienced with the first tech coming to my house on march 3/4. Since march 3/4, I was washing items by hand and not using the washing machine. it is nice to be able to use it once again. My washing machine, it seems to be working fine. I hope it continues to work and and not be a problem. I like like to have clean clothes, no problems with appliances that I use frequently like a washer or dryer. Please make sure that tech 794032 receives recognition for exceptional customer service and making a Sears customer satisfied.

The 1st person (also inexperienced) he called eventually told him I would just have to deal with it (since he couldnt figure out a solution). You KNOW that wasnt going to work. The 2nd person walked him through code reset, which I hope was the cause of the problem. He would not apply the amount to the new order. He gave us a customer service phone number to call that was disconnected. Now I have to go on-line agian, for the 4th or 5th time to try and get resolutions. ANd my washing machine still does not work, and I am out $300. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service ... came out promptly the first appointment, but when noticed the serial number was smudged on the washing machine said they couldnt repair without a serial number. That night, my husband found the serial number on the back of the machine (shouldnt the service person have KNOWN there were alternate areas to find serial numbers??) and we called Sears back to reschedule the appointment. We gave them all information over the phone -- serial and model numbers included. Waited 5 days for the second appointment. Was notified the day before that they would be here between 8am - 12pm ... got a second notification that they had adjusted the time to between 8:30am - 10:30am .... by 2 pm no one had shown up, nor had I received a phone call. I called to ask where the technician was ... apparently for some unknown reason, he cancelled the appointment with no contact with me or anyone. They wanted to reschedule. I asked that they assign someone else for that afternoon .... they refused. I had taken off two full days of work and told them that I would like for the service call fee (79.00) to be waived in order for me to reschedule, and wait at home yet another day. She offered me a 10% discount .... REALLY?? $7.00 for TWO (potentially THREE) full days of work?? No Thank you SEARS.... We will find someone else who is more reliable and respectful.

In the meantime, when Brent Cleveland (tech #776526) arrived, he did a great job, getting us back online. First off, the repairman was polite and courteous and successfully fixed the issue. The reason for my dissatisfaction was that upon completing the repair and after being given the bill, I presented my Sears 20% off coupon to the repairman. He then stated, “This coupon is not accepted since no parts were required to repair your dishwasher.” Even though the coupon specifically stated, “20% off the regular price of your next completed in-home repair service (parts and labor)”, the repairman fervently asserted that, “there is no discount on labor unless parts are required for the repair.” I paid the entire bill and then called Sears. Sears claimed that the repairman should have indeed accepted the coupon, opened a case on my behalf and within 24 hours credit my account the appropriate amount. I suspect this wasn’t an isolated case and that this 3rd party contracted by Sears promotes this behavior of its employees to increase revenue.

Back In February, I called Sears to fix a door water dispenser that was leaking on my GE refrigerator in a rental property. The repair person came out said there was a bad board that need to be replaced. Had it fixed for $234. A month later the tenant complained about the dispenser again. Called Sears and this time the repair person changed out the ice maker at no charge. In July the tenant called again with the same complaint. Called Sears and the repair person went out and said I needed a new ice maker (no warranty because it was over 3-months). Paid $261 for the parts. The repair person arrived a week or two later to install the new ice make and called me to say the problem wasnt the ice maker, but a valve that needed to be replaced. I told the repair person my story and said I was willing to pay the $425 to replace the valve but didnt want to pay for any previous work because the problem from the beginning had been misdiagnosed. The repair person agreed. Waited another week for the water valve to arrive. The repair person finished the job and called to say I owed Sears $164. Amazing. Spent another day on the phone arguing with an out of county Sears representative that finally agreed to reimburse me $65. Not the full $70 I was looking for, but close enough to not have to spend another hour on the phone taking to another supervisor.

I advised the tech of the physical broken part and he insisted thatFIRST he needed to replace the main control board. I repeated that the part was BROKEN, not dependent on any control. When he insisted I told him thanks and let him go. I will be writing a letter to get a refund of the diag fee. I have had the broken part replaced and the washer is working fine.Update 1I have been in contact with Henry of the Sears Appliance repair social care team. He advised me that since the tech consulted with the research team that their recommended repair of the main control board would have been a permanent repair and that my replacement of the visibly broken part was only temporary so there was nothing that could be done. I have asked how long the temporary repair has to last(somewhat sarcastically I admit, but I will repeat my question) before Sears will admit that the diagnosis was incorrect. Henry suggested that I buy a service contract and that I schedule an appointment for someone to come out and verify work that was done. I have declined at this point since the service contract would pay for a new washer every year I maintained it and that no WORK was done. The actual diagnosis was handled by the research team not at my house. Possibly if they were willing to send someone from the research team I would consider wasting another day waiting for them to arrive.Update 2I received an email from the Sears Appliance Repair Social Care team. After a review of my case, they are crediting my card back the diagnostic fee. I want to thank them for doing the right thing. I am not changing my review as the repair experience was bad, incompetent even, and when called out it took extraordinary effort to get it corrected.

When the second repairman arrived, also very nice and on time, he diagnosed the problem as due to the failure of a different part, which also had to be ordered and added another week to the repair. When the repairman finally arrived to install the second part (same repairman we had the first time) he was over 30 minutes past the quoted timeframe. Only after I called Sears and asked if he was still planning to make the repair did I receive a call telling me he was on his way. He made the repair. However, when he set the oven for 350 degrees F and the oven registered that it had reached that temperature, the oven thermometer we use to independently measure the oven temperature indicated it was only 300 degrees. The repairmans explanation was that sometimes it took the part he replaced to have a break-in period. Im not sure I understand this since there are no moving parts in the part he replaced, it was a circuit board. He then packed up his tools, used my credit card to pay the balance, printed the receipt and left. Im still not sure he really fixed the problem. I felt as if Id been given excuses instead of solutions. I will likely not use Sears in the future, even with their 20% discount.

The repairman was on time, very professional and did a great job. Freezer is working well. The only problem I had was waiting so long for Sears to send a repairman. I think Sears needs to take a look at the way it schedules appointments. Waiting a month isntacceptable.. I dont think having someone dianoise the problem on the phone is a good idea since they dont repair appliances. The five stars are for the repairman.Sears would receive 1 star.

Dryer Repair; Dryer would not start, verified power. Repair Tech arrived at noon which met the 8-19 service window. Quickly ascertained that the drum belt was broken, after checking with a voltage meter. Disassembled the machine and used my shop vac to thoroughly clean the interior before renewing the belt. Cleaning was not something that was expected. Was quick and efficient as well as polite. Fit our schedule and really took very little time to complete. Quite happy with the service as well as the Tech.

This is a no stars rating just to be clear. I had a not so friendly experience with our technician Tony. He had the worst customer service with me and my mother on Saturday. He bangs on the door and does not even introduce himself, show an ID or hand me an appointment slip. I had to ask him what his name was. While coming in he said with a bothering tone where is it at As I called about a washing machine repair I assume thats what he means. I show him my machine and tell him my issues that Im experiencing with my whirlpool lock door. He goes to tap his finger at the top of the washing machine and says Oh its the control system. I looked at him and asked how would you know that by just looking at it and not testing anything? He said, I have 18 years experience lady I would know these things while laughing. I asked him how much and he said roughly $300 for the part and $250 for the repair and that still doesnt ensure that my lock would be fixed and that part was $150 with another repair cost.My mom and I were in shocked! So youre telling me you are not going to test anything on my machine but quote basically the price of my machine that I just purchased If that is the case why are you charging me $89.00 to just drive over here to tap on the top of my machine and think that we would just say sure because we are women! I dont think so! He should have treated this a little bit more professionally than he did. We had to ask him three times to test the machine and he continued to laugh at us like we were asking a ridiculous question.I couldnt believe sears had technicians coming to their customers homes treating them this way. I felt that he was being sexist quoting a price to women without even looking at, around or inside of the machine. Yet if we were men it would be a totally different story. My mom who was visiting had to call my father and put him on speaker phone to tell Tony to open up the machine and test it. He eventually went to his truck with an attitude to grab his tools after opening and testing the machine we asked him to get out because I couldnt take any more of his sarcasm. I will never call Sears again for an appliance repair. That was the worst customer service that I have received from any home appointment.

The service tech was awesome. The online booking tool was a little off. It didnt send the part numbers or model numbers so that the tech had the right parts day 1. So when he showed up he didnt have the right parts. Then to rebook wasnt allowed digitally (on the web) so I had to deal with a very inefficient call center to get rescheduled.

There was lot of brown dust due to rusting if parts. Technician said this is a problem with these stoves, but Sears will not change parts, we have to pay for parts. Why am I paying for last several years for this service.?

Allen was our dishwasher repair person. He was prompt, very friendly and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He had the parts in his truck, completed the job in a timely manner, with better parts than the original manufacturers parts and was on his way to his next appointment. My dishwasher is again, serving us well. Thank you Allen for a job well done.

The repairman was great and did the repair well. Problem was that I bought the refrigerator from Sears to begin with along with the service plan. Its a Kenmore and the ice maker is poorly made. I will never buy a Sears product again. Also, when I called to schedule repair the wait was two months even though my refrigerator was dispensing water on my floor by itself. Then the man finally arrived for the first appointment an hour late. He got to work, and then told me he had to order parts for the repair. I mean really, you dont come prepared to fix the problem with a fully stocked truck?? Of course this meant scheduling another appointment, luckily there was one 4 weeks out this time. Then Sears calls to confirm that the parts have arrived, and after a few days calls to confirm a different appointment date. I jumped at it since it was earlier. I was so happy to have the man finally arrive to install the parts and get the ice maker and computer board working correctly again. Only problem was that one of the parts apparently arrived broken so back to rescheduling again. This time 6 weeks out. The man came on time this for this appointment, installed all parts and finally I have things working again after about 5 and a half months. Really, I will never buy a Sears product again with their terrible warranty.

The benefits of the warranty and service plan are essentially worthless. 8 weeks with a broken fridge for a family of five gets expensive, and a Sears food loss reimbursement of $50 without even an inkling of what was in my fridge must be a joke. I guess Sears is keeping the punchline and the check to yourself, because neither arrived. Much like the first technician who was scheduled to come out when our fridge broke. The technicians who did show up were at least courteous, but not all are informed enough.Worse is the entirety of customer service that we had contact with over the phone, which in two months was a lot! They are very sorry for the inconvenience, but completely powerless to help customers beyond scheduling your next appointment, which will be at least a week away no matter how long your appliance has been broken, or the ineptitude of the last technician. As for the last appointment we had scheduled, it may have been the best, because I called and canceled it.Sears should stop wasting peoples time, energy, money and just not offer an extended warranty. Maybe just sell a DIY repair manual with the appliances. Last time I EVER buy ANYTHING at Sears.

Sears did an AMAZING job. They fixed my dryer in great time, they were very friendly, but most of all, they were 100% on time. My appointment window was 1-5, then it narrowed down to 1:30-2:30, and they were there at 1:28. AMAZING.

The Sears Appliance Repair man was helpful and professional. He was not able to do the repair himself, but referred me to get a plumber. I do think the $79.00 tab is too high. Although I would not have minded if Sears was going to do the repair (the $79.00 would have been applied to the bill if so). I still paid a plumber to basically go to Home Depot and get a part and put it on. His price was high as well ($150).

I was told the ice maker would begin to dump ice cubes into the tub. That was yesterday about 11:30. No ice has been dumped even after the technician installed a new ice maker. We finally has a technician come out after having had two appointments cancelled. How soon will we see another technician. Should be immediately.

The gentleman who repaired my fridge was efficient, tidy, and very nice. I ask a lot of questions and he patiently answered each one. My only complaint - why Sears charges $279 for an easy 45 minute job - to de-ice the vents. I will do it myself next time.

In May I requested a service with Sears. To say the least my service was horrible with the Tech by the name of Tony, I am now receiving a bill for $89.00 that I will not be paying for because he literally did nothing. I called customer service this morning and was continuously transferred 7 times where I finally spoke to a gentleman by the name of Warren who I thought was finally going help me, but I was not assisted at all and he stated that he was in the scheduling department. With my frustration I asked him to transfer me to his manager and he wouldnt and on top of that not only did he not transfer me to his manager he proceeded to tell me that I was authorized to make the payment regardless of the situation and then laughed and ask which manager would I like to speak to. Im completely appalled at how Sears Customer Service is! I just want the fee of $89.00 to go away and never deal with Sears again.

How thankful I was to see the SEARS repairman arrive instead of J&R (the outsource company that was attempting to be forced on us). J&R had been out 3 times and were going to install a new part yet again if they had been allowed to cross our threshold. I then had to talk to 8 different Sears reps (Bo was extremely rude and hung up on me and needs to be addressed by his manager for that one) and finally, after sending a plea for help through your customer service feedback option, someone noticed our plight and sent a SEARS technician to satisfy the repair. He did a stellar job, as usual. I so hope in the future we dont have to endure this again. FIVE STARS for the SEARS tech who showed up knowledgeable and pleasant.

Technician not on time. Called after already being late. Had to go somewhere for parts after dismantling the ice dispenser. Four hour appointment window and being late to boot is rather disappointing. The good news is the ice dispenser seems to be working fine for now!
