Lost my mailbox key and thought it was going to be a hassle to get a replacement. Was blown away by the amazing and speedy service I was given!! Incredibly fast and easy!

First, the automated phone system is a joke. System does a lot of assuming... My main issue is, I did an address change a month ago. Postal workers said it should be 7 to 10 days to normalize. I or my family, have NOT received any mail in over a month. Totally, UNEXCEPTABLE!Now, I have to wait almost 2 hours to speak with someone. If they call back...

Ive lived in several cities and dealt with lots of post offices and this one is great. Awesome service, really kind staff, my mail always gets to where it needs to go swiftly. Thank you USPS!!!!

I have given them some very unusual requests, and they dont bat an eye. Always very courteous and professional.

Just witnessed an elderly man who was treated with disrespect because he was hard of hearing! The window clerk was bald headed and wore glasses! Why hire such people to work in the public?

The Athens post office has always been extremely helpful and very nice to me and everyone around me when Im there. They are sometimes busy but they always seem to have a great attitude.

Just rude and not helpful. Need to fire everyone there and hire new people. I try to avoid using them as much as possible

I use this post office regularly and they are always very helpful and polite. I have never seen them be anything but patient and helpful with customers, including those with limited English language skills. Yes, lines can be long at times, but I dont blame the staff for that. And recently a mail carrier delivered a package to my house and was extremely pleasant, even took the time to explain how to successfully return bulk mailings. So thank you Athens OH US post office!

After not receiving a forwarded package for 3 weeks straight, I called and called to try and find out where it was since the tracking info was of no help. Apparently it was sent from Athens, stopped in Michigan, Columbus, and went BACK to Athens. So, I called Athens post office and asked them if they could retrieve the package. They found it, it was in the back of their office (why? I dont know). I asked for them to ship it back to the forwarding address, my home address. A worker named Liz refused to send it out to me. Why? I dont know. Too bureaucratic. They made me waste 8 hours of my day driving all the way there and back just to pick it up. If you want people who are fast, reliable, and use common sense then this ISNT the post office you should use.

I send letters every week, and packages sometimes just as frequently. My experience at this USPS has been fantastic thus far. And although I have not encountered long lines due to not being present for their busiest hours, I have never waited longer than ten minutes to get in and get out. Often times it is much shorter.The staff are wonderful, and genuinely value both my time and my wallet: they will often give helpful advice to customers on how they can further save money. Kevin has been my favorite employee to work with, and has always been cheerful and humorous, and yet gets you in and out as fast as possible. Not many employees have been as genuine as this man, and I certainly recommend picking him at check-out.I would not heartily believe many of the other reviews as they can almost all be summed up by personal mistakes and/or unfortunate circumstance. These are generalizations about the service that are not true. I do however base this on my personal experience of the past few years.

My father has been using this post office for at least the past 10 years. Hes always had great service, and a package rarely gets delivered to the wrong place. He even knows someone with the same name, and both of them say Hey, (their name)! and the other says Hey, (his name).

Doug refused to sell me a single stamp i had chosen. He stated it was only sold by the book. I have never heard of this policy. What makes the matter worse is he showed me several other stamps in books that he was willing to sell individually. Out of all the books, the only one that could not be purchased individually was the one I wanted. I call bullsh*t.

I would give them 0 stars if possible. They conveniently “forget” to deliver my packages all the time and when I call to see where they are the workers are always snappy with me and act like it’s the worst thing in the world to help me find my packages. When I go into the post office to get the packages their mail people forgot to deliver they are so unnecessarily rude even when asking simple questions. I don’t know if it’s a requirement to work there or what but these people are so disrespectful when all I’m trying to do is get my mail.

I would give 0 stars if I had the chance. Numerous times have they delivered my mail to other people’s houses where I have to go around asking people for my mail... Packages will be lazily left in the wide open, do not recommend at all.

Every time Ive dealt with the desk attendants, they are EXTREMELY helpful, and always go above and beyond. The delivery folks are always friendly, and seem to enjoy what they do. Even when biking down Armitage Rd., the delivery person slows down to avoid kicking up dust until I pass, and a friendly wave, too!

5 star for only one reason they are super SUPER nice. I lost my package and they calmly agreed it was their fault, it was a common mistake they knew I wouldnt be home so they sent it to my office and I appreciate it highly thank you!

Put your packages in others’ house then they told you they cannot help you. Lucky for them I cannot give 0 .

This review is a reflection of the management of this Post Office and not the staff. I just went to mail a package and encountered quite a line, no big deal I understand that that can happen at a Post Office. What was troubling to me, was seeing the store manager treat his employees terribly while I was there. Every employee working there today was polite and helpful despite a busy day and several complicated issues they had to deal with. Their manager that was hovering behind them all kept calling them out if he thought they were doing something wrong, which understandably would make someone feel a bit flustered. I was reading through past reviews and several people commented that they felt the staff was grumpy or didnt seem to like their job, after seeing who they had to report to I think it makes perfect sense if they feel that way working for a man like that. I understand if something is being done incorrectly there needs to be correction, but I think its completely unprofessional and unnecessary to do it front of a lobby full of customers. I think the staff there today went above and beyond to help a lobby full of guests, but I am so troubled and bothered by how management handled the situation.

Omgosh They are horrible. Always losing my mail & packages or leaving it in other peoples mailbox. You seriously think they are gonna return to the real owner? I give them NO stars. But it wont post unless I give them at least one but they dont deserve it.

Ive used this post office many times, and never really had any mailing issues, but the staff is not too friendly. It seems like everytime I go in, theyre always in a bad mood.

My mail is constantly delivered to the wrong address. I always get others letters in my mailbox and leave post-it notes they had wrong mailbox, only to receive the same letters in a few weeks. I would give no stars if there was a option to do so.

Jerry was so ridiculously rude. I am new to the area and he spoke to me as if I was so unintelligent he was disgusted to look at me. All because I was not familiar with the area in which he was talking about. I left feeling embarrassed and not welcomed to the community at all. Disappointed that I heard the other front desk representatives talking to other customers in negative ways as well.

Refused the passport size photo service.I took my son to get passport size photo taken at this USPS location. They refused to take photos stating that they are understaffed and cant do the photos.No wonder this place has such a low rating.
