We wanted to go on vacation for our daughters spring break. We ordered a car three weeks in advance. When we went to pickup the car on Monday April 5 at 8 am ,we were told it would be ready at 12 noon then we were told it would be ready at 2pm then 4pm. Then it would be ready the next day. We never got the car. They wanted us to rent a 15 seat passenger van.we are three people not 15. We dont need a van. We have rented a car with enterprise before without any problems. We are not happy with the runaround we got we had to go with another company for our trip. We may not use your company in the future

My experience here was horrible. My car had recently been sideswiped and was in the garage for repairs so I required a rental for a few days. USAA reserved a rental through this Enterprise location and told me an Enterprise employee would be contacting me. After a few days and no contact, I decided to call them myself since I would be needing a rental by the following day. They assured me that they would drop the rental off at the Auto Body shop which they DID NOT do. Once I arrived at Enterprise, I said I was fine with the cheapest option that insurance covered which was a Nissan. The employee was very persistent and almost insisted I rent the Toyota Camry since it was closer in size to my personal car (and more expensive). I eventually agreed. We went outside and looked the car over which dirty from road salt and mud, hiding any potential damages I now realize. The interior reeked of cigarette smoke which the employee stated he could not smell. He was then pushy when recommending additional insurance coverage options which I informed him I did not need. I understand it is his job to sell but he was almost so persistent about the car I wished to rent and the insurance coverage that it almost made me uncomfortable. I used the rental car for three days and returned it. Upon return, an employee looked the car over, no damages were noted and I was told I was good to go. The next day I received a call from the same pushy employee who initially rented the car to me informing me that he was filing a claim for damage done to the car. Apparently, there was a crack in the front bumper which I told him I absolutely was not responsible for. I am currently waiting to see how expensive this is going to be. I find it funny that 1. this employee INSISTED on renting me this Toyota Camry 2. The car was dirty, therefore masking any scratches or cracks 3. A crack appears the day after I drop it off. This employee told me he would be sending me a picture of the damage and I still have yet to receive it. I would’ve been happy with the Nissan and now I feel like I’m being schemed out of money. I will never rent from any Enterprise location again because of this and I will warn others to do the same.

Very nice staff . Car was ready when we arrived. The car we rented was very clean on the inside but nasty on the outside. We didn’t have any problems with the rental the car drove smooth and included smart technology that turned the engine off every time we stopped at a red light. It was a bit odd at first but after we came to expect it it was pretty entertaining. The only thing about this location is we left our vehicle on their lot and when we came back it was completely covered in bird poop. LOL my wife had just spent $13 on a wash before we went to pick up the rental. So be careful where you park on the lot if you leave your vehicle for more than a few hours. Ours was only there for most of one day and had splatter completely covering the vehicle when we returned.

I have rented from this company several times, from several different offices. This most recent time, I was extremely frustrated.I booked a two week rental about four month in advance and got a really good rate. Then, as the time grew near, I attempted to change my specific dates. I tried online, and the rate was increased, so I didnt finalize this booking.So, I visited the rental office in person two weeks before my rental. I said that I would like to shift my dates by two days, provided it didnt change my admittedly great rate. The guy behind the counter pulled up my rental, assured me it wouldnt change the rate, and made the adjustment.Great! Issue solved.But, I realized I hadnt received a confirmation on this change. So I called up the office a few hours later. The woman was happy to send me the confirmation email. But my rate had doubled. When I told her that the gentleman I spoke to in person earlier assured me the rate would not change, her explanation was well, hes new.Long story short, I ended up having to rearrange my entire vacation BACK to the original dates after being told explicitly by the person behind the desk that the rates would not change.To be clear, my rental worked out great. The people at the office on Patton on Saturday were helpful and efficient and friendly.Im just extremely disappointed in the miscommunication regarding making changes to the reservation. I ended up losing a lot of money and time by making changes to other parts of my vacation based on incorrect information. I specifically walked into the office to make the changes to avoid this sort of screwup. And their IDisinterest in making changes to fix the situation was more upsetting than the mistake on the front end.Long story short, I will not be using Enterprise anymore.

The Enterprise location on Patton Ave is awesome! During my most recent experience, I stopped in to pickup an SUV that turned out to be too small for my holiday commute. Not only did the manager, Jayson, help me out, he was a true professional - courteous, relatable and gave me a great deal on a upgrade! Dont hesitate to get your next rental at Enterprise, they will surely help you out!

Shout out to Maggie and Lauren at this location. Thanks for the Jeep!We rented a vehicle from another Enterprise location. That location gave us a free upgrade, without our asking, to a premium luxury vehicle (which, having spent 12 years traveling and renting cars, shouldve been a red flag). It was really impressive until six hours into our road trip we turned on the heat and the foul odor of pipe smoke filled the cabin and physically overpowered us.After a splitting headache and calling every Enterprise along the way, and begging and pleading with them to let us swap vehicles, we finally found folks at this location willing to help.Thanks, Enterprise. The rest of our vacation was terrific and thanks to you, we could actually enjoy the drive without sticking our heads out the windows for breathable air. You get 5 stars. Those sly b****rds at the other location got one star and a complaint to corporate.

Worst service Ive seen by any kind of company maybe ever. Had a tire losing air. Was told by roadside assistance to go to this location. They didnt have any inventory but i was told theyd help me out if they didnt. They refused to even make a phone call to other sites or roadside assistance. It was clearly a case of laziness and poor management. Had to leave and fend for myself.

Truthfully, I wish I could give this company 0 stars. Enterprise has been okay in the past – neither great nor bad – but this past week they have gone against their word – literally – and attempted to charge me $400, when there should have been no charge, as insurance was paying. Long story, but bottom line: they were unresponsive, then uncooperative, and finally rude, refusing to treat me with even a modicum of respect. Ive taken legal action to protect myself and to confront them with their egregious behavior, but decided to write my (first ever) negative review of a business here as well.

I arrived at the The Asheville office on Patton and realized Id left my credit card back at the hotel. Maggie, after checking with her manager, offered to drive me back to pick it up. I could have taken a ride share, but her offer was very generous. Shes a delight, and my experience picking up and dropping off couldnt have one smoother. I highly recommend them!

Besides complying to CDC regulations, renting the car went smoothly. For safety, the rental took place outside, and as required masks were worn. The staff were friendly, and the car I rented was clean. I would definitely rent from them again.

In town from Ohio where we rented a car to go to the Asheville are. While up at Max Patch hiking, we came back to find our rental car had been hit and damaged. Called Enterprise to file report. They said to go a store the next day to get another car. Went to Tunnel Rd. They were not helpful at all. Said no cars, try another one, without helping us at all. They were actually rude about it. Went to this store. Waited a long time, but they were understaffed. An employee named James Durham helped us. A phenomenal young man who stayed late and made sure we got another SUV, as we were just married a few days prior. He took care of reporting the damage and getting us back on the road. Unsure of what theyll come up with for charges, but we do know one thing....James Durham should go places in Enterprise. Hes a huge asset to your company. Thanks James, you were awesome.

I have rented from several places in several states. I was a road warrior service tech. Let me tell you, I had the worse situation for the poor sales guy. My security chip would not work, we called Capital One, Capital One was horrible. My truck was broke down and I need a rental bad! I was on lunch and had to get a part from Grainger for the job. The service clerk their was awesome. He helped me get on the road the best he could. It was a frustrating 45 mins for him and I both. BUT he took care of me and I appreciated all his help.

Awesome place to rent a vehicle; for example, the staff is well trained, the cars are in good condition and the process of renting in person is done in a timely manner. Finally, I think they should find more time to clean the inside of the cars without rushing but overall, they are great.

Tried to rent from them while my car is being fixed and they wouldn’t work with my insurance. When they called to confirm my reservation they said my total was my responsibility and they never got approved from my insurance. I called to make my reservation and they had deleted all records of my reservation and wouldn’t give me the rate they initially quoted. Told me I never had business with them.

At Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Asheville, NC, I was able to get a car on short notice, and then made my three day drive home to Minnesota without incident. But communication with Enterprise at the time of rental was not great.When I phoned, I was told that they would send someone to pick me up. They gave me a number to call for pickup, and when I called that number I was told that they had no one available for a pick-up. I had to take Uber to their shop.The first thing I said to the agent on the phone was that I wanted to rent a compact car in Asheville and drop it off in Minneapolis in a week. She quoted me a price of about $175.00, which I accepted. Later I again mentioned that I was driving to Minnesota, and she said oh, thats right, you said that! Then she added a one-way fee that increased the price to $627.00.The man I spoke to at the pick-up phone number told me that there were no more compact cars available, but that I could have a small SUV. I said OK. But when I went to pick up the car, they led me to a small Mitsubishi Mirage, and did not say anything about an SUV.The Mirage was a tinny little thing with a noisy engine and an incomprehensible radio. When I got home, I looked up the car on the Enterprise site and saw that it is classified as an Economy car, though I was charged for a Compact.I returned the car a day early, but there was no adjustment to the price.

Okay I have never had to complain about a car rental and Im older folk, rented lots of cars over the years, so I was incredible shocked at how horribly this location treated me. Im disabled with a physical issue that can throw me into an ER very fast, I cant stand for any length of time and I was extremely sick on this day, but had no choice due to my situation. I had to stand in very hot weather as COVID is still going on so they werent allowing people in the lobby, you were handled outside with zero seating to wait. On top of that, I had forgotten to take stuff out of my return rental I first got as I was hit in an accident by someone the day I was moving so I had to return a rental for one my insurance company had set up, but I didnt know at the time they had set it up as the person who hit me called me to say I needed to do this, not my insurance agent so I had zero information (like the reservation info). Then this very rude woman is staring at my hands which I have issues with them the whole time and shes drilling me with questions no other customer was asked in the line ahead of me like she has this problem with my hands, I felt like a criminal. The next thing I know she threw my license at me as Im sitting on the sidewalk cause I couldnt stand anymore thinking Im going to pass out from the heat and she tells me I cant have my vehicle and Im sitting there stranded with no car to get home with a heavy box I cant carry. It was 10pm that night I learn this car rental was called in for me a week in advance by my insurance company. Enterprise to cover their butt after I spoke with one of their agents sends me my insurances rental code I NEVER GOT until 10PM that night after I was refused my car much earlier, yet if you look at the time of the email supposedly was sent it says 10AM, which is interesting as I check my emails all day long and it wasnt there before I called them later that evening with the issue of being left stranded on a curb. A kind man in a truck seeing me stuggle over 4-lane traffic helped me carry a box of stuff I could no longer carry and I had to re-rent from the other place I had just returned a car from. Oddly when I was initially spoken to that morning I was told since this place was right across the street they would drop my car off at the other rental so I could just drop off my car and pick up the other one and go. Well it was a total nightmare and I was not a very happy customer, I did make the mistake of screaming at them, but I mean the way this was handled was about as bad as it gets. I think the issue was in that my card for some reason is not accepted at rentals which Im not understanding exactly why as I use it everywhere else so the person who hit my car used it with my insurance company and this is why this woman refused me the car. But dont leave your customer stranded in a street, do something to make sure they are accommodated. This woman refused to do anything and just moved on to the next customer within the two minutes she drilled me and refused my reservation. The way she just totally acted like I didnt exist was disgusting.

Enterprise on Patton for the Win!! I had an abysmal experience attempting to pick up a rental car at the Hertz across the street from them that was arranged by my insurance company after getting hit. I had the reservation moved over to Enterprise and could not be more pleased. The store was clean, bright and the hospitable employee I worked with, Mark, was welcoming, kind and professional. I was in and out in a snap. Enterprise has won a customer for life!

I had rented a vehicle at another location recently and, although the single employee tried to be helpful, it was very difficult and the office had no vehicles at all. This office had vehicles and had the right one waiting for us, although they had not had time to clean it. The car was excellent and made our trip much easier. Return was equally easy and once again the staff was friendly. IWe were very satisfied.

I had used Enterprise for years but they apparently have regressed back to the other competitors. These people will lie with no regrets whatsoever. I called for a one way to another location, was quoted a MUCH better price then on line and in addition was told it would be a Luxury car. I asked specifically if I could call back later and was assured that everything would be the same. When I called back 2 hours later it was like the original phone call never happened. The location, customer service..EVERYONE said there was no such price, no luxury car and no one should ever give such an offer. They simply lie and hope you will accept their bait and switch mentality, Bottom line- DO NOT trust Enterprise, especially this location.

Havent picked up my car yet, but I already know this experience is and will be 1000 times better than my experience with Thrifty/Hertz at the Asheville airport. 1) I actually got someone on the phone and they had a brain and amazing customer service skills. 2) The price is $100 less than Thrifty and $200 less than Budget for the same car! 3) No crazy Seinfeld episode vibes. I actually got to confirm my reservation instead of being told that my reservation doesnt actually mean the car will be there when I come to pick it up!?!.I will update this after my trip.

I called to tell them I was going to be a little late and they told me they did not have any cars available.and tried to convince me to take a pick up truck!! They promised to call around to find one for me and call me back. No call, so I decided to go there. No apology for not calling me back and then they said they had not Found one. Finally they said there were cars at the airport location, but they had no one to send to drive me there or bring one to me. They assured me that the price would be the same, if I just took Uber there at my own expense.I did that and despite being assured again, that there would be no additional charges, when my credit card came, I was billed an extra $100. I have been trying to get this resolved for a month. Despite originally sounding like they would take care of it, they are refusing.A totally unpleasant experience. Rude staff and I heard from other locals, that they run out of cars all the time and are unable to fulfill their reservations. Seems a crazy way to do business. Avoid Enterprise!Update to my review. It seems posting a review gets action. I have been contacted by the regional manager, who apologized and refunded the overcharge and the cost of my Uber to the location, where they actually had cars. I was very pleased with his quick response and kindness., after more than a month of trying other ways to handle this error.Hopefully, they will also use this as an opportunity for training.

Bad Customer Service!!!!! I used to love enterprise. I have been a active customer for at least 6 years. They have changed their policies recently, cant keep employees and managers. I used to show them my insurance and credit card. Now they need a lot more. Again, active member, so everything was saved in their system. Now its like pulling teeth.

Ive traveled much in my career and had many rental car experiences. I use this location for local travel. My experience with Enterprise overall has been best although Ive seen service fluctuate as young team members go in/out frequently. This location has a good leader and even though teams come and go, they keep getting better. They are the best Ive dealt with.

Famed for their customer service... Well its only good if youre in their face. Only 1 of the car type youre trying to find in the area and it happens to be at the airport? Good luck! Sean actually hung up on me because they wouldnt give me a ride to pick it up (weird), or transfer the car to somewhere they would pick me up. Great job guys!UPDATE: called one budget rental place, found the same exact car they advertised for $100 cheaper and 1000% less hassle. Way to lose a customer for life guys.

Though there are a handful of car rental facilities in the Asheville area, I always choose the Patton Ave location as the staff always make pick up and drop off a breeze. Because of this service and the convenient location, this site is often very crowded and while I may wait a few minutes, the staff do a great job working quickly and efficiently to serve everyone.

Eh. I rented a car last minute because my car went in the shop. Got the last thing they had. A Mitsubishi mirage. No cruise control, no washer fluid, oil sticker said oil hadnt been changed in almost 10k miles (doubt that) and the non smoking car smelled of smoke and had dog hair everywhere. I guess beggers cant be choosers.

This is the first time I rented from this Enterprise store. The person behind the desk was helpful, polite, and honest. I last rented from another nearby Enterprise store in Asheville which attempted to triple charge me for one rental. They found it amusing and would remove the extra charges until I filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs at the office of NC Attorney General. They thought a senior citizen would be too stupid to notice the extra charges.

Watch out! Sketchy people. They charge you for insurance, GPS, all the extras even if you dont request them! I returned my car after hours and checked my credit card bill later. I called them over a dozen times, but no one answers the phone. I called the regional manager and vice president, but shocker, they dont answer or call me back either. Corporate cant fix this because it isnt an airport location. I have a feeling this is a common tactic, just not many people catch it. If not, why wouldnt they call me back and resolve it?! Im now in the process of disputing this with my credit card company using the receipt where I have proof I declined everything! They are scum!

VERY helpful salespeople, I was able to get to know one of the employees as they pick you up. It was a good rental experience and I am glad I got the full coverage with the insurance as I scraped into a sharp rock parking and one of the tires needed replacing. At the return, an associate directed me to another branch as their drop off service went farther - as far as the mechanics.

I was very impressed with the excellent customer service at both the Patton Avenue location and the East Asheville location. I ran into a hitch with my auto insurance policy and had to get that taken care of prior to getting the rental I had reserved for the morning. Everyone was very patient and flexible and helpful, finding me a car on one side of town or the other when I had made the reservation late the night before on-line (so they didnt know about it until that morning), talking on the phone to the insurance company, and then later coming to pick me up at work at the time that I needed them to when I had to change the pick up time. Very professional and excellent customer service skills all the way around for both sites and great teamwork. I would recommend them both.

I have seen the staff change through those years and I have always received good service from everyone. Even though my husband and I had been renting cars from the Enterprise on Tunnel Rd. for at least the past 15 years and even within the last 8 months, I was turned away. Being told I did not have the correct requirements for renting a vehicle with them and that their computer system had recently been updated and overhauled, so my past business with them did not count for anything and did not matter to them. Needless to say, I took my business to Enterprise on Patton Ave. Where I picked up a rental vehicle, with no problem.

The car had no smoking signs, and the agent specifically told me it was a non-smoking car ( I do not smoke) but the car smelled so bad I went and bought air fresheners and had to drive with the windows down the whole time I had the car. It wasnt practical for me to go back and switch cars otherwise I would have.

In our recent snowstorm, when it was difficult even for the employees to get to work and most businesses were closed, they picked me up. Most grateful as I needed to rent a car to drive to Atlanta where I could catch my flight the next morning. Without them, I would have been stuck at Asheville airport and missed much of the conference I was to attend. It was slow-going, but the Toyota Corolla performed beautifully on the single ice-covered lane of I-26 and beyond. Many thanks!

I have rented from the Patton Ave Enterprise, several times. Its hit or miss when it comes to my reservation. The staff is kind and friendly, I dont have an issue with how I am treated. My issue is with the reservation. If I make a reservation for a particular size car, then I shouldnt have to worry about not getting what I asked for. On multiple occasions I have been upgraded because my reservation was given to someone who walked in off the street. Whats the point of having a reservation? And, its not much of an upgrade when you have to stop every 200 miles or so to put more gas in the car. Please, get my reservation right. That is all I am asking for.

I was not pleased with the difficulties they had in figuring out that I did have insurance coverage. We have rented cars many times before with no problems. Also trying to make a reservation on line was difficult. I ended up calling to make sure it was right. However, the clerk was courteous and did her best to work things out.

RENTERS BEWARE: I am unsure that I have ever received such horrendous customer service before interacting with Coleen at this location, or any of the Enterprise locations in the Asheville area. My insurance company and I were given the runaround between this location and the other Tunnel Rd location because my need was out of their territory (the locations are 1.8 miles away from each other). After contacting one of them three days prior to my reservation need, I was told the other location would call me back to set up the reservation. They never called and were unable to set up a reservation in time. In addition they were completely unwilling to work with me when I called in to follow up after not hearing back from them. They were unwilling to contact other branches in the area to see if they could assist with my needs. They caused me to miss a body shop appointment Ive had for three weeks. I called around to the four different locations in the Asheville area for over an hour trying to get some assistance. Two of these locations I was unable to reach after listening to their holding recording for twenty minutes each talking about how they have the best customer service in the industry. THE IRONY!!!!! Dont trust these people with your time, I surely wont in the future.

On my most recent visit to Enterprise Car Rental Asheville Patton Ave Branch I received that high level of customer service performance from Stephanie and Andrew who were professional, knowledgeable and extra attentive to my rental needs. There are several Enterprise locations in Asheville, NC but none that have the degree of customer service skills represented at the Patton Ave Branch.Thank you Patton Ave Enterprise Car Rental for all you do to make your customers feel appreciated and respected.Additionally, I would like to commend the Marion, NC location. While they struggle tremendously to keep enough vehicles for rent, they remain courteous and professional and deliver service with the highest level of professionalism

Substandard service. Inept staff. Ive been given better treatment by customs officers at the Mexican border. The attitude I encountered here reminded me of one of those slummy 24 hour check cashing places where the clerks are used to dealing with drug addicts and petty criminals. Not only was I given a vehicle that had been previously damaged, the Enterprise representative who rented me the car tried to fine me for those damages. When I refused, he became belligerent and threatened to call the police.I will never deal with this company again.

We recently rented a car from enterprise at the patton ave address. Our experience was excellent. first of all we got a better car than we had expected. we rented for one week and decided we needed it one more day, a phone call was all that was needed to make that happen. I found the staff very friendly and professional. I would like to call special attention to Emily Rubin and Matt. they both had a great sense of humor and seemed to really enjoy their job, even tho they were very busy with customers. if ever i am in need of a rental again in the ashville area this will be my choice.Thanks
