I’d like to say this place was amazing, but I never got the chance to find out. I’m heavily struggling with mental health conditions and substance abuse. I called the Raleigh House looking for help. I spoke to Dan for over a week about getting admitted. I went through the intake process as well. I was also told what amazing insurance I have, and told getting admitted wouldn’t be a problem. Let me state, it was not unknown that I lost my job during the pandemic. The day before I’m about to check in (already had my bags packed and everything) I’m suddenly told they want $4,000 up front or won’t help me. How does someone struggling with mental health, who has no job come up with $4,000? They don’t. The Raleigh House wouldn’t even set up a payment plan with me. Very disappointed. It’s really unfortunate that this is another place that really doesn’t care about people’s well-being, but only cares about filling their pockets. I’m sure they would have made PLENTY off my insurance alone. Sadly, the Raleigh House only wants to help people with mental health conditions and addictions IF they have thousands stashed away (during a pandemic nonetheless). Quite the disappointment. Mental healthcare in this country has a VERY far way to go. People should come before money, but the US has a far ways to go from that day ever occurring. Thanks for showing me I my life and my mental health meant something to you. 👍

When I first came to the Raleigh House of Hope I was hopeless and helpless. Addiction really is life or death and I was definitely on my way to death. Today I am now 205 days sober because the help and support that The Raleigh House provided for me. I am now a strong and independent sober woman who now is living a life filled with Hope, Strength, and Courage! Thank you RH for everything! This facility changed my life and saved my life. Their were BHTs and therapists who I will never forget having a hand In my mental health and wellness. I do want to disclose if Whitney is still working there. Whitney was formerly a therapist at at adolescent and family institute of Colorado which I was at 15 years prior or so. She personally participated in abusive tactics at the facility. They are now shut down, it was ran by a fraud who claimed to be a doctor but in fact had no school background in the field at all. Please google the facility and you’ll see what went down! But Whitney still held a lot of tactics at the Raleigh house and liked to gaslight and try and make you feel crazier than you were for her gain. She also threw out incorrect stats, one of her colleagues after she left the room even had to correct her for being false. I think their are so many amazing staff workers at the Raleigh house that helped shape people into finding a recovery journey but felt the need to fully disclose, as Whitney while I was there, was in a place of power. Thank you to the rest of the staff for putting so much energy into my life and others!

This is an exceptional place to work. I began as a BHT and worked my way up to a clinical intern then a clinical case manager. My experience has been incredible as I learn every day from seasoned professionals who really know how to help people with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The leadership is encouraging and has been instrumental in my personal development as a clinician. By far the most rewarding job I have had.

The Raleigh House of Hope is quite appropriately-named. I was in a position where life had become rather grim, and the prospect of a future worth living was unlikely. Almost every aspect of my life seemed to present insurmountable challenges: financial, mental/psychological, physical/medical, social/familial relationships, etc. It was unfathomable for me that I could turn that ship around. During the hardest time of my life, I made a decision to try one last time. When I finally decided to show up for myself, the people at the Raleigh House showed up for me, and helped me to chart a new course; a life that is more fulfilling than anything Id experienced in the past. Special thanks to Whitney H., Eric L. and Brittany W. - I will never forget the compassion and care given to me by them.

Our son has been in treatment at The Raleigh House for 6 months, at two different levels. He has stated that its program has been life-saving. This is quite a testament to its addiction recovery program.Since this is our first experience with the disease of addiction & its treatment, we have found the weekly educational programs extremely informative & helpful. These Zoom meetings are open to any family members or friends of those in treatment. With limited contact with our loved one, due to both COVID & his stage of recovery, the material presented has certainly helped to close the knowledge gap & has helped eliminate some of our fears & misconceptions. Many topics are covered including the myths of addiction, communication skills, stages of recovery, relapse warning signs and triggers during the holidays. The presenters are experienced therapists & are always open to questions. The commonality of other families also going through such challenging experiences with their addicted family members is also an additional bonus, by which I mean, that you share familiar stories and feel less alone in this challenging situation.

I had an incredibly positive experience at the Raleigh House. Clinically, the staff are parallel to none. Tough love is their language and they really do push you by challenging your addict thinking and constructively criticizing your destructive and harmful patterns. They call you out, and they know what they are talking about. The BHTs are mostly in recovery which really gave me hope as someone very early in sobriety. The Ranch is a truly special place - it is serene and beautiful to be enveloped in the countryside. It is a safe bubble where I was able to safely detox and start lifting the veil of the destruction I had made of my life.A crucial piece of treatment for myself was on the partial-hospitalization level in Arvada. Living in a sober living house, going to groups at the office during the day, the gym, and then evening meetings in the community really helped me adjust back into “living in the world”. It helped me familiarize myself with the recovery meetings I liked, so transitioning out was much easier. My therapist, Mary Ann, and the clinical director, Sam, are both people who I credit everyday for not only saving my life but also giving me my life and so much more back.I came to Raleigh House broken. I am now 13 months sober and have the privilege to work with clients who are struggling on a day-to-day basis. If I could give Raleigh House 10 stars, I would. If I have a loved one struggling with addiction, this is where I would bring them. Forever grateful ❤️

After 5 previous treatment programs I thought I was one of those people that was incapable of being sober. I now have 20 months Sober because of this treatment program. If you are not familiar with treatment programs let me tell you that in my own experience 1 month of inpatient was not enough time to be in a state of mind and body that would continue to be sober once I left. Longer inpatient stays of 2-3 or even 6 Months as in my case have from what I’ve seen had a far better success rate.I signed up for 3 months half inpatient and half intensive outpatient. While I was still in inpatient at the ranch I felt that I had a lot of breakthroughs but it was almost the end of my stay there and I still had a lot I needed to work on before I left. My therapist Tristan helped get me set up so that I could do an extended stay and literally take care of everything I needed to do in order to start my new life the right way.I wasn’t on good terms with my Family, had no friends, and had done serious harm to my self through years of hard drug abuse and alcoholism.By the time I left the ranch I had repaired my family connections through face to face sessions where we talked to each other and Tristan (My Therapist) mediated. I had a group of sober friends that lived together and went to meetings together at the iop program. And I had scheduled doctors appointments to take care of the issues my destructive lifestyle had caused. With out the help of Tristan and my IOP therapist Hannah I would have never been able to accomplish so much so quickly.Once in iop I began to a plan to put my life together as well as to continue working in myself and my sobriety. The Raleigh House is tough, they ask you personal questions that hurt to think about and will not let you just slip by or slack off. That’s what makes them different than any other treatment center and that’s what makes them the best!Hannah worked me hard to keep me on the right path. Though many times I got angry or scared or most likely broke down and started crying thinking I could never achieve a new and productive live as a sober man Hannah never gave up on me and was always there for me no matter what. With her help I got treatment for a serious disease and no longer suffer from it and started taking first aid courses in order to get ahead start in the long term career I was planning. I was also able to find an awesome job that I really enjoy. With out her help in the second half of my stay I wouldn’t be where I am today. There is no treatment center on earth where you can walk in and and out in 30 days and never want to drink or drug again. It not that easy and takes a lot of hard work but if there is a place that gives you the best chance it’s the Raleigh House. If you read any review where they say that this is a bad place or they were treated horribly I wouldn’t believe them, though they are tough it’s not cruel or mean. Most of the people I have met that have left early or didn’t like it were not willing or were unable to work on themselves or take accountability for their own actions, and most are now sadly back to drinking or using. This program is the most inclusive and caring that I have ever experienced.I still stay involved with the Raleigh House as well and many people including myself have started to work at the place that saved our lives. Not only do I consider Raleigh House a great treatment center I also consider them a Second Family!

No cigarettes?? Not allowed to smoke? A person coming into treatment has already taken away the love of their life, “drugs”!! A lot of conversation happens on smoke breaks in treatment. Some good. Some bad. But what happens during a smoke break, people start hanging out, getting comfortable talking, building a sense of community. It is how some people cope with issues. Some of the best laughs and conversations while in a treatment center happened during a smoke break. I still, after have 7 1/2 years clean, find myself talking to someone i went to treatment with saying “remember that time on smoke break and...”. Your clients are also adults. If someone wants to smoke it is their right to smoke. I know personally if i was told i couldn’t smoke at a treatment center, i was DEFINITELY not going to that center. I think you should reconsider your smoking policy!!!

I had a great experience at The Raleigh House!! The staff was always very professional and helpful. We dug deep into underlying issues I had that caused me to use. The program is dual diagnosis, helping me learn to not only deal with my drug use but depression, and resentment towards family. They have a great nutritionist that taught me about diet being critical in recovery. The Raleigh house focused on helping me heal the mind, body, and soul. It is not a Twelve step based program, but they did expose me and encourage me to do the steps. I am now eight months clean and owe it to everything I have learned in the program.

My son was reaching out for help and after reading all the reviews and visiting their website, was really excited about Raleigh House. He contacted Raleigh house and spoke with a very nice woman who gave him the feeling that she really cared.. Even offered for him to call over the weekend if he had any questions as they were waiting for insurance to respond. After the weekend was over, they basically got everything approved by insurance and the process came to a screeching halt. They want all their money up front and were in no way helpful or understanding of our financial situation. Asked about prosper lending and was told that they only use the lending company for patients that dont have insurance and need to pay for the program in full. That turned out to be incorrect as I was approved for the loan. Needless to say that my son did further research and found a great place that was willing to work with him financially, as he wanted to take on all of the responsibility for himself. My son felt disregarded and uncared for once the money issue was brought to the table. he felt the money was more important to them than helping him. Be aware! They dont seem to care as much if you cant pay them.

I have never written a review in my life, but I feel obligated to do so. This is not a well run facility. There was no orientation, I was left trying to figure out what to do - by other attendees and on the fly. The counselors are great, and Gayle - who cooks food for everyone is awesome. Beside that, for the most part this program is run by 20 somethings who have a chip on their shoulder, and should not be in any position of running anything.Upon completion, I was dismissed - there was no exit interview, from people that run the program, and no counselors where there for my final class, and I was not provided the opportunity to do the exit process with the rest of the attendees (a goodbye and thank you exercise - which is supposed to be done by all attendees leaving the program) , as a result I found myself leaving after an art class - underwhelmed and questioning what I just did for the last 2 weeks. It seemed that since I was leaving, and no longer going to be paying them, they were done with me. This feeling also resonates from the fact that there is absolutely no follow-up, except for the lady who works at accounts receivables. I am now being nickel and dimed, a year later for some made up fee. I paid 10k for 14 days (typically the program runs for 30 days for the same cost), I was also charged for all blood tests (something they do not tell you); I was charged to move houses, 2 days before I finished - because they needed room for new attendees, and now I am being badgered for another $160.00, a year later. This program, while it has its strong points - is terribly run, and I believe the owners are more focused on making money, than helping people.

Once I admitted (against my better judgement) i was in desperation... I successfully finished treatment at Raleigh House and am 93 days clean! The approach to the health/medical aspect help me get my diet in order and my physical exercise increased with boxing, rock wall climbing and sporting activities at the park on the weekend. I lived at 3 locations while in treatment and all were very nice and comfortable. The chef who prepared healthy meals was amazing at cooking and made me feel at home. I worked with a nutritionist who custom tailored a plan for my needs which dramatically improved how I was feeling with energy, stomach issues and sleep. The psychiatrist and nurse were very understanding of my pre-existing medical considerations and always around to help me and answer my questions. One of the directors took time to sit with me at the lake and talk to me personally when I was stressed out at the beginning of treatment! The groups were informative and helped me look at myself and issues I was facing. Staff helped me prepare for my future and getting signed up for school in the pursuit of my career path. The caring nature of the staff and the intense desire to save my son made for a combination that was a great success so far and provided us with a measure of comfort that we had not felt in almost seven years of this hard journey. We believe that Raleigh provides the best chance to turn around a life and save a family at the same time. It is true that the family suffers the most but once sobriety sets in, a child can begin to understand what this drug riddled pathway can bring.UPDATE on May 11, 2018--Our son is now enrolled in a college in Denver and getting good grades. I have been to 12 different treatment centers, And none of them helped me the way the Raleigh house did. Whitney and Eric are amazing and genuinely care about every person who ends up there. For example; One night all I wanted to do was leave and quiet honestly go get high, Eric took time out of his night to take me out for dinner and tell me his story, and what made him finally want to get sober. That night I stayed and didnt leave treatment, and Eric that night gave me a glimpse of what my life could be. Whitney made me learn so much about myself; and gave me the push I needed, even when it was hard. Because of them and the chances they gave me, today on this very day marks 1 year clean, and without everyone at the Raleigh house I dont know where id be today!! Good treatment and shady billing practices.Like most rehab they will help you if you are ready to be helped. They will give you the tools you need and the personal incite to get better. However, after my experience here I also believe that they are more then willing to take advantage of the addicts situation and the emotions of the family that surround it. If you have amazing insurance expect a very long stay. If not expect detox a short stay a pat on the back and a hefty bill.if you find yourself with out insurence, expect an increasingly longer stay and bill untill you are unable to pay. Expect guilt and scare tactics. Expect to be told that if only you or your child or your spouse could stay just a little longer they could be helped. Expect to be told that again and again and again .If only you could pay a little more, then your loved one could be free. The staff and therapists are mostly fantastic. Their program is great, but extremely isolating. Most of all however, they are a business. Saving people from a horrible disease comes far second to taking as much money from the customer as possible. Raleigh house would be an an amazing place, if care for the addict still suffering was as important as Erics Ferrari and assorted sports cars... Go to a meeting, get a sponser, and find a good therapist. Despite what they say, no amount of money or supplements will make everything better.

My personal experience could only be described as a living nightmare. The Therapy I experienced was nothing more than me relating and taking responsibility for my problems, the therapist telling me that I was a worthless piece of trash for ever having those problems, and that I would ALLWAYS have those problems. One of the most glaring things (of many) missing from The Raleigh House of Hope actually is HOPE. Something not missing from the place was an abundance of drug use. Prescription drug abuse was very common, but street drugs were more available there than on the actual street. Thankfully, I was able to find a program locally that was safe, reasonably priced, and, most importantly, respectful of my own difficulties. Degrading people into recovery DOES NOT WORK. And the word Hope belongs absolutely nowhere in this businesss name.

RHOH is truky a unique experience unlike “traditional” inpatient rehab facilities. They have created an environment that feels much more like home vs being away at a clinical facility. This creates an atmosphere much more comfortable for the necessary discomfort required for true change of mind, body, and spirit. The family dynamic is truly glued together by some wonderful BHT’s and especially our loving and talented chef who is the “mother” figure of the place. I have, for better or worse, been to many treatment facilities and the curriculum that is implemented and facilitated by the counselors are next to none. All counselors have their own niche and do very well at meeting you where you’re at and bringing you to where you don’t yet see possible of being. Every rehab has plenty of things to rant about that blemishes the experience and so while I will acknowledge my time wasn’t without some negativity and frustration, I can also admit some of it was more personal and not professional.Last but not least, myself, and I can sincerely speak for my family as well, will be forever grateful for the guidance and leadership from clinical director and my personal therapist Whitney H. She took on the unenviable task of challenging my deep seeded stubbornness and entitlement and I am so grateful for the lessons, painful lessons, I learned from her pushing me past what any other clinical professional ever was able to. Sobriety was the least of her concerns because she knew that staying sober would just be a benefit of untangling a lifetime of trauma, guilt, and distorted perceptions of past successes and shortcomings. The self awareness and the guidance to not changing me, but putting my pieces back together to be my authentic self and be the best me I was meant to be will always be a blessing that is behind all current and future success in my life. This place is not for everyone, but, for those willing to truly grow would serve themself greatly by surrendering to the self bondage and heal life’s wounds.

The Raleigh House is unlike any other program in Colorado. Almost all rehab facilities have a terrible staff to client ratio and you never even get to see your therapist let alone have a 1 on 1 with them but here I saw my therapist every day and had regular sessions with them. I was not in a good place when I came here and really needed the extra time I received from the staff here. They use a balance of holistic healing and nutritional approach to recovery. Not everyone is the same and they approach each client in a different way and find the best solution that will work for that individual. Their nutritional and holistic approach to my addiction is what made getting sober for me a reality, and them also supporting me in my 12 step program is the reason I am still sober today. With out their balanced approach I would of just had another failed attempt at sobriety. Thank you for saving my life.
