I highly recommend visiting Zapatat for any of your treatments! The staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. My first ART was a great experience. The owner, Chris, was very professional and informative. I felt that he was passionate about serving his clients. Carmen did a wonderful job with the laser. I highly recommend her. The procedures were painful, as to be expected, but bearable. I cant speak on the results yet, but I will follow up in detail once I have finished the process.

I had a tattoo removed yesterday so it’s a little soon to rate my overall satisfaction with the service, but so far, so good. Everything was very clean, all the staff that I encountered was professional and friendly, and there was no pressure to purchase the service. My only caveat to anyone thinking about having a tattoo removed is that it will probably hurt more than you expect. I was told “It will feel like you have a sunburn for about 15 minutes and then, nothing.” Well, 18 hours later, I still feel like I have a sunburn. That said, it’s totally tolerable, particularly after some ibuprofen. And, if I get results as advertised, it will be well worth it.

From the moment I walked into Zapatat, I was greeted with warmth and comfort that helped to ease the concern I had around tattoo removal. I had a consultation and decided to move forward with the process that day. I felt well informed of what to expect and the staff helps you feel at ease throughout the entire process. I spent several hours at the location and while yes, it does hurt a bit, I was as comfortable as possible and was able to practice deep breathing in the relaxing environment which really helped the process. Im about a week out from having the procedure and am healing properly and can see the laser removal beginning to do its work. Im happy to provide updates with time and I know that Ill return to Zapatat to finish my process as well as possibly take advantage of some of their other services. They are GREAT!

Highly recommend Zapatat! This was my first time at Zapatat but my fourth laser treatment to remove a tattoo. Zapatat offers a special four pass laser treatment instead of the usual single treatment. Apparently, it is Zapatats specialty. It is, of course, a lot more expensive than a single pass, but after seeing examples of past clients results, it seems to be a much more cost effective and efficient way to remove a tattoo. The clinician was very good (quick and accurate with the laser!) and made me feel comfortable and cared for the whole way through. Thank you for everything. Keep up the great work!

I am thrilled with my experience at Zap-a-tat. Chris took the time to explain things thoroughly and answer all my questions. I did an ART session (4 passes) and Carmen was amazing -- she counted down for me so I was prepared for her to start and she cheered me on through each pass, which helped me get through it. Of course its uncomfortable, but its so quick that its over before you know it. After care was reviewed multiple times so that I was fully prepared. Im looking forward to seeing how it responds in the coming weeks!

This place is sent from god! I had a TERRIBLE micro shading eyebrow Job done and the artist put the brow on my forehead . Then there was ZAPATAT ! they saved my life ! Two treatments and its so deeply deleted that i no longer half to apply any make up to cover it up . The ink was black and SUPER dark! 2 treatments and it’s GONE not one brow but BOTH brows ! It wasn’t completely painless BUT it was so quick by the time you start to feel any pain your done !

Ive been coming to Zap a tat for at least five years now and I love it. The owner is very friendly and he is always upfront and honest with me about how long it will take. The rates are reasonable and the office is very clean.

If you really want your tattoo to disappear, get a cover up tattoo. Otherwise, I’d recommend going to another tattoo removal company. After (8) visits to Zapatat, my 6 inch, unshaded tattoo, is still VERY Visible. I brought this up to the owner after a couple emails...and still no response. I want my money back.

Hi! I came in the other day for a consultation and was very impressed! I just today finished 6 months of accutane. After speaking with my dermatologist yesterday, he said I could start laser treatment now… I wanted a second opinion from zapatat because I’ve been reading online everything from “you can get laser while on accutane” to waiting a month, to waiting at least 6 months post accutane…. Any advice?

Just got my tattoo removal treatment done this morning. This place is THE BEST out of the two places i went to. Chris sat me down and explained to me exactly what would happen and the extensive research that he and his team have done. He also explained to me how important aftercare is so please! Make sure you take proper care of your body and skin after a treatment like this! Whether you do the 4 passes in one day (like me) or just the conventional. When my treatments were being done she was quick and effective at getting it done so you are in as little pain as possible. Then she takes very good care bandaging it up after you are done. They also allowed me to bring my 3 year old son (i had no one available to watch him) and it was all around just the best experience. I’d like to that Chris and his team for the best experience and for helping me get into the Air Force faster! Highly suggest!!

If you’re thinking of removing your Tattoo, this is the place. I went to a place in Vienna on Maple Ave. several times and it was a waste of time and energy. A friend told me about this place and I couldn’t be happier. 1 visit and what a difference! Might need another visit but we’ll see. Nevertheless great place and great value.

Zapatat is the place to go for tattoo removal and the famous Hollywood Facial. I also had all of my sun and age spots removed from my face at Zapatat. Just ask for Carmen and she will take care of you! Excellent customer service and very clean facility!

I went to Zapatat to have multiple dark spots removed from my face. I admit that I expected a fly-by-night organization, but I was wrong. The staff was professional and friendly. The offices were spotlessly clean, and I felt cared for and at home. I was a bit nervous to have a laser loosed on my face, but the dermatologist was in constant communication with me and the procedure was almost painless. I also witnessed my partners Hollywood Carbon Facial. It was amazing to watch. The results were spectacular. Five Stars from both of us.

Ive been to several tattoo laser removal studios - Zapatat is by far the best, with the most powerful machines and incredible techs that try hard to make the process as painless as possible. Owner Chris is incredibly knowledgeable about the industry and helped me select the laser procedure that would be best for my removal. Hes also just a wonderful person, like everyone on his staff. While tattoo removal is a pain, literally, this is the only place Id want to do it.

After going to several other tattoo removal locations, I decided to try “Zapatat”. As I walked into the store I was amazed by how professional and pleasant the ambiance was, it almost resembled a laid-back doctor’s office. I originally came in just for a consolation and to check out the store. Everything was explained to me thoroughly, any question I had was answered with no room for second guessing. Of course, my main question (aside from how painful it is) was how long it would take to get the tattoo completely removed. They told me it could take multiple attempts because there are many factors that must be taken into consideration with every individual. I felt as though I was in good hands and decided right then and there to do my first laser treatment. I was given an ice pack to put on my tattoo for as long as I wanted until I was ready to begin the process. Before the laser, they have a part of the machine that blows out cold air that they put on you right before they use the laser. The women (I forget her name) knew how nervous I was and put the cold air on me for an exceptional amount of time. I was hoping to numb my skin so I wouldn’t feel anything. I put my headphones in, and about 10 seconds later it was over with. For my second laser appointment, I met the owner Chris. He gives off the type of energy that makes you feel welcomed and valued as a customer. I couldn’t have had another pleasant experience like this anywhere else.Once you receive their service you will see that they are the best. In my thought, the best in the world.Thank you Zapatat

There are cheaper places in the DC area, with different lasers that cause less damage to skin. Advanced Tattoo removal on Lee Highway charges far less and uses a laser that doesnt leave blisters or require several passes per visit.

I got my first rapid removal treatment last week and it went great, I have been treated for this tattoo before at different removal centers. This was by far the best experience I have had, they took time and numbed my tattoo more then any other place I have been, the treatment was quick and so effective. My wrist normally looks really bad after treatments but they knew exactly how to deal with the inflammation. Just go to zapatat, you’ll save a lot of time and money.

Ive always loved zapatat, i unfortunately cant afford to come as often as I would like but they have top of the line equipment. Staff is really nice and I do appreciate the quality they provide.

I would like to share with you my 1st experience was great I paid $500 to have my tattoo removed the next time around I did not feel the same treatment I did not see any results on the 2nd treatment and I wish it was as good as they made it sound my second treatment was only very few seconds my 1st treatment was a very good experience but when I went back I noticed a felt rushed to get out of their way for the next customer :(

Ink is no longer permanent! This place is professional, clean, and modern. Easy location and effective results with laser technicians who seem to understand exactly what theyre doing and can customize treatment for your skin and ink. Buying a package deal on your treatments could save you money if youll need 4+ sessions.Removal takes time. Always opt for the numbing cream :-)

Outstanding experience! It was a tough decision to get 1/2 of a tattoo taken off, but it had to go. My tattoo place recommended Zapatat and after doing some research I chose them, even though it was about 1 hour and change away. Im super glad I did. They were fantastic. The place is immaculate, modern and very comfortable. Dani could not have been a better specialist to both guide me through the whole thing and perform the process. I was taken back promptly, was told all about the process; how long it takes, the different processes, pain, expectations, cost, etc. I went with the art treatment, I figured it would be faster. If you got a tattoo, this should be no problem to manage the pain, its like a rubber band snap really fast, but only takes like 1 minute. I got 4 passes, so I sat out front for a little between passes. The 1st takes the longest, then they are pretty fast. They have plenty to keep you entertained; TVs, mags, quiet rooms. I kept it iced on the way home. Dani made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Im a few weeks out, the aftercare was pretty easy if youve taken care of a tattoo. It was like a bit of a sunburn for a day or 2, then kind of scabby, but again no big deal. So far Im super happy with the results, mine was lightened considerably already and it will lighten more between the time I go back. I also had the pleasure to meet and chat with Chris, the owner. He sat and we talked for awhile, he is a very interesting person and seriously believes in what he does. I cant imagine how it could have been any better, so if your looking to get a tat removed, check them out.

My review is based solely on the phone and in-person consultation — I spoke with the owner on the phone and he explained that my very tiny finger tattoo could be removed in 4 sessions within one day for $99. So I scheduled an appointment and had an in-person consultation, and from there I was informed that it would would be $99 per session (or whatever the proper medical term is) so the total would be $400. I was listening very closely over the phone and was shopping around with a few other vendors so it’s unlikely I misheard. I’m writing this review in an attempt to warn others to clarify the total amount before making the visit to the shop. They seemed highly knowledgeable and professional, but I was really disappointed to have made the trek out to Arlington for something incredibly overpriced. For reference, my tiny tattoo is less than .5 inches and a very thin infinity symbol and cost $60 by a professional in Arlington. Completely unaffordable.

I had my free consultation + my first treatment last week at Zapatat. From immediately walking in the door, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place, and the professionalism of the staff at the front desk. They were very friendly and greeted me right away. My appointment was at 10:30 and I showed up 15 minutes early. I was taken right on time which was great because how many times have you scheduled an appt for an exact time and end up waiting 10, 15, even 20 minutes to be seen. They were very prompt and I appreciated them respecting my time, as I respected theirs by being on time for my appt. Dani was the technician who did my first tattoo removal and really liked her. She was very knowledgeable about the procedure and answered all of my questions to give me some ease of mind before going in. Getting a tattoo removed is definitely an investment, and it is something that I have been wanting to do for several years now due to a decision my 17 year old self made over 13 years ago. I have been to other centers for consultations and immediately left feeling uneasy and unsure that they would/could really remove my tattoo. I got a completely different impression at Zapatat. I am confident in them and am really looking forward to having this tattoo removed for good. I highly recommend them if you are considering tattoo removal. Lastly, I met the owner, Chris, at the end of my appt and he said hello to me by name and was very friendly. I left feeling really good about the money I am putting out for this and wouldnt spend it any where else.

At first I was really happy with my sessions at Zapatat. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and professional. My last session however was horrible. The different laser that was used caused swelling, huge painful blisters that eventually led to scarring, hypopigementation and skin discoloration. I’m writing this review because the customer service that came after was really careless. I’ve spent a lot of money at this facility and my skin looks sooo much worse than it did before. On top of that they have done NOTHING to compensate for this experience and it’s really just all around disappointing.Update: Chris is extremely unprofessional and attacks people for giving honest reviews. Instead of whining about how you lost half a star, think about how you can improve your customer’s experience especially if they are open to returning. You clearly missed the mark. With that being said, no, you will never see me again. Good riddance!

I did the 3-4 passes in one day-- torture. But the pricing competitive, they do good work, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I love that they give you a cubical to recover in. I purposely waited months to see the results and then write a review. My tattoo (black ink, that was touched up twice) is significantly lighter, with no scarring. I have another tattoo that (black ink) that I got lasered at another removal place with one pass to compare (because Im a sucker for torture) and it looks as though nothing ever happened. I will be returning to Zapatat to complete removal.PS, per suggestion from my physician, I also took vitamin e supplements for immune health and skin. My doc has some tats he got removed and said he thinks it helps. I dont know if thats why there is such a change in the tat, but I figured its worth mentioning.

On the way for change and a different approach in life in removing my facial tattoo. I did my research on Zapatat before I had decided to actual give them a call. I gave them a call and spoke with Chris. An Awsome gentleman who I than got to meet in person. The consultation was detailed and professional, caring and supportive very well orchestrated. Its been 4 weeks out now, and I can see a big change some spots are gone, other spots have lightened up. I am scheduled to go back August 27th and continue my treatment. Hi, I went thru 3 passes in one day for nothing!!!Read Why: im here to say Zapatat is not good forremoval...more like a Scam in my case. Smh I wentin to get my tattoos on my face removed (personalreason for me getting them in the 1st place)It Hurtlike Hell!! Worst pain I ever went through and Ihave lots of tattoos myself!She did state that there will be some swelling forthe 1st couple of days. BUT NOT 2 WEEKSSTRAIGHT!! I looked like I got in a fight everyday!!I didnt want do anything. Or let alone goanywhere.. I spoke to the receptionist and she toldme to just call back if it continues for another 2 to3 days?? Im like what? She told me nothing, nothow to put the swelling down...not to email her apicture or even to come down to show them..Didntget her name but it really shocked me. I couldnteven talk to the doctor who did it.. after 1 moreweek the swelling went down BUT NO GOODRESULTS!! My face tattoos where still there, evento this day.. I still Have them.. If your getting atattoo removed in a sensitive spot like your face,neck, foot...etc Plz save your money and go elsewhere. This was seriously a waste of time andmoney!!!! Think b4 you Zap!
