8 days to go before our wedding and my dress still hadnt arrived from overseas. When it came in two days later - less than a week before the wedding - I was thrilled but quickly disappointed when it was way too big. Like, 2-3 sizes too big!! I found Advance Tailors and explained my situation. She agreed to see me and make the alterations. Less than 24 hours later (yes! she was that fast!!!!) she had finished the dress and made all the alterations PERFECTLY!I couldnt believe Id lucked out with such a talented, detail-oriented, responsive, sweet, and fast-working professional! I will not be going anywhere else from now on! I owe her so much for making our day just how I dreamed.I highly recommend!! You cant go wrong!

I never felt so strongly about leaving a bad review (or any review) but here it is. I had a dress that needed some alterations a couple of months ago. I spent roughly 70 dollars and ended up with something that looked okay to me. I never wore the dress until recently. I found out that the dress would bunch up in a weird shape after the alterations. The fit was also very strange. I was asked to pay an extra 30 dollars for the alterations because of the time gap. During the discussion, the owner kept making up small lies and excuses just to raise the price by 10 dollars. Here I am ending up with a dress that has a horrible stitching job and a 90% broken zipper. After 100 dollars spent on the dress and a bunch of time wasted, I will unfortunately have to throw it into a donation bin.

They did a superb job in making alterations to the gown I wore to my sons wedding. Everyone loved my gown. Thank you Gurdeep !!

I went to Advance Tailors to get two button ups shortened at the bottom. They did an absolutely amazing job. After the trimming, the bottom of my button ups looked identical to how it was right when I purchased them. The price was also very good at 16$ per shirt, so 32$ total. The lady that did the tailoring was also incredibly friendly. Will definitely go back for future services.

I needed major alterations done on very short notice. The owners were super friendly, they had me come in right away and the alterations were done faster than the estimate they had given me. I was very happy with the work and appreciated how they were able to accommodate my situation. I would definitely use them again in the future!

I had the best experience with Advance Tailors. They saved the day for my postponed wedding by rebuilding my rehearsal dinner dress for me. They also altered my step daughters bridesmaids dress in very short time. I will go here for all of my future alterations based on my fantastic experience?!!

We discovered this great tailor a few years ago and have been extremely pleased with both thequality of work and their responsiveness. Although we now live 3 hours away, we STILL bring all of our alterations here. These folks are a delight to work with and their work is always outstanding. Strongly recommend!

This is my favorite place to go to get my clothes altered. I have been going here for years even though I moved all the way to Greenville I still drive back just to get my clothes done because nobody can do it like her. It really is professional work and you won’t find someone who can do it better. There has never been a problem with my clothes the measurements are always perfect and fit me nice and tight how I like it. She is also the sweetest lady always in a happy mood.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have never felt a need to leave a bad review in my life, but after the way I was treated I felt compelled. With a 4 star rating I thought this tailor would be a safe bet....wow was I wrong. The alterations were alright. The seams, which I had taken in on the dress, weren’t symmetrical on both sides but it was good enough. The bigger issue was with the lack of customer service. When I received my dress back it was covered in stains. I explained that I didn’t think it was appropriate to expect a customer to pay an additional fee for dry cleaning when the stains happened under their care. I asked that they either comp the fee for the alteration or cover the dry cleaning bill. Rather than agreeing the tailor threatened to let out the seams on the dress rather than issue a refund and was extremely rude and defensive. She went on for nearly 15 minutes denying she stained the dress even after admitting that she watched me open the original packaging in front of her. I’ve never experienced such disregard for customer service.

My mom and I have been coming here for years to get alterations done and they always do a wonderful job! Highly recommend.

I had three Maxi dresses that needed to be hemmed. Two of them had lace at the bottom and one was a handkerchief hemline. She was able to sew the lace back on and make the handkerchief hemline shorter without sacrificing the unique hemline. Excellent work. It looks like they were never altered at all. I highly recommend them. They are so nice and helpful and their store is very clean and taking proper COVID-19 measures with sanitizing, masks, and distancing. They are very talented and able to do difficult tailoring jobs impeccably.

I went to them for alteration of my Suit bought from Kohls. They did an excellent job in timely manner at a reasonable cost. I would recommend them for sure with such alterations.

I had a wedding dress done here and they did great work! My dress needed more complicated work, but they got everything done in time for the wedding, and made sure I was happy with it and it was a perfect fit. We have used Advance several times. Most recently I needed my mother of the bride dress hemmed. Gurdeep and her husband are friendly and professional and do quality work. They are willing to work with you if you are in a rush also. Their prices are very fair. My MOB dress was $35 for 2 layers.You will be happy.

I have to get a large number of things tailored, from suits to casual pants and such. After the first piece I tried with Advanced Tailors, they instantly gained my trust. Ive been going to them for about two years now and have probably had over a couple dozen items altered with them. They cater to the style I want (modern, slim, tapered pant legs etc.), explain what my options are, and help me hone in on what looks the best. They always perform high quality work, communicate effectively, and provide good customer service. Their prices are listed and consistent with other shops. However, I believe Advanced Tailors produces better quality.

Customer service and talent is a winning combination at Advance Tailors. Everything Ive ever had altered here has been perfect. Most recently, I took her an outfit I was devastated didnt fit as I wanted to wear it to a wedding. She not only rebuilt it to make it fit, but got it done in 1 day so I would have time to get a back up plan if needed. It fit perfectly. Im a client for life!!

Id never had a tux altered, but with my wedding coming up, I went in to Advance Tailors. They were helpful, quick, and most importantly, the tux fits perfectly.

I was in search for a great tailor that could complete my wedding dress alterations within a very short window of time. I have been here in the past for other formal dresses which brought me back in for my wedding dress.The owners are so welcoming and helpful. They were very affordable compared to other local wedding dress alteration shops.They also made sure that my dress was complete with 3 extra days to spare despite having such a short window of time.I couldnt be happier with the great workmanship seen in the tailoring of this dress. Highly recommended!

I needed by bridesmaid dress taken in on the back and sides as well as hemmed. I gave her a timeframe of the following week which happened to be when the wedding was because I procrastinated. However, she called the day after having completed the work already because she knew of my hurry! Amazing! And it was perfect after the first time of alterations! I had to have my suit tailored ASAP due to Joseph A Bank giving me terrible alterations. Advance Tailors of Apex did a fantastic job. I dropped my suit off in the morning and it was ready by 4pm. The alterations were fantastic and I was able to wear my suit the very next day. I cannot recommend Advance Tailors of Apex enough!

This place appears to be under new ownership.I had a much different experience here recently than in the past few years over which I had been patronizing Advance Tailors and had always been pleased with the cost and work done. I had been so confident with the prior owners that I had taken expensive items to them for alteration.SO glad what I took to these folks was not! I took in a vest that only needed to be taken in on the sides - simple, right?First, the woman who helped me (and was not particularly friendly) disagreed with how much I wanted it taken in, and actually argued with me about it.Secondly, it was to be $20 just to take in the sides of the vest a couple of inches.Thirdly, they wanted paid up front, so I did. (Never happened with the other ownership.)A man who was working the sewing machines came by while we were discussing the work and was also not welcoming or friendly. You would think with a new business in a competitive area, in what I am sure is a high rent area, people would be more interested in providing a good customer service experience...Anyway, I went back to pick up the item and it was barely altered at all - so I guess she decided on her own it should be the way SHE wanted and not what the customer wanted and paid for.And on top of that, the pattern on the vest - kind of a vertical line pattern - so not all that challenging to match up - is misaligned.Pretty much a waste of $20 and I wont go back.EDITED TO ADD: I am changing this review to 3 stars because they contacted me with the offer to re-do the vest at no charge, which, although I will not take advantage of the offer, I do appreciate that they made it.

I had her sew buttons (that had come off) on my wool winter coat and also hemmed a pair of jeans. Amazing quality work. Blown away by the hemming she did on my jeans. She kept the original hem (which I wanted). Her work is immpecible and prices are fair. She did them same day for me because I travel and needed them for the following week. I am highly recommending them and I’m very picky.

I havent needed a tailor for some time, but this past weekend I needed a hem on my new suit pants and a shortening of my jacket sleeves...and FAST. After browsing around Sunday, I came across the reviews here and decided to give them a shot come Monday morning and the reviews were spot on. The lady (Im assuming is the owner) took me immediately Monday morning and was able to get my order complete by 3:30 the SAME DAY and it was excellent work at a very very great price. Highly recommended tailor in the Apex area if you need one.

Not very often do I have a tailor emergency, but I had one today.The folks at Advance Tailors of Apex were awesome! I called, they asked me to come in and 15 minutes later I was having my suit measured for alterations - this was around noon on Monday. Let me be clear, I was DESPERATE and asked if I could get the suit back the same day.They didnt promise, but said they would try and did promise no later than the next morning... At 3:15 my phone rang and I was told the suit was ready to be tried on!Great work, expectations exceeded, and now I have a tailor right in town if I need any other work done - hopefully with less of a time crunch.Thanks Gurdeep Farmah!

Rude!!! This place is less than 1 star! I took a bridesmaids dress here to get altered and the woman was so rude! She was in the middle of doing my alterations and 2 other customers walked in and she left me to help them. First of all she had no clue what she was doing, dont ask the customer where you should take in a dress! Hello?! Your supposed to know that! I would not recommend this place!!!
