Ive been a Marriott guy for almost a decade now and I wish this place was better. The location was good and speaks for itself but the bathroom in our room needed much attention. When I turned on the water in the bathtub, all kinds of hair came up out of the drain and the water would hardly drain out. My family was forced to turn the water on and off just to keep the gross tub from filling up with other guests hair ๐Ÿคฎ. I cant believe someone didnt bring this to the hotels attention prior to me which leads me to believe they blew it off before.

Just ok. I tried to book the best room with a balcony and waterfront view. My room was right above the docking area for the river cruise, so I couldnโ€™t enjoy the waterfront. The bathroom was so small the entry door bumped up against the sliding shower door. I didnโ€™t find the front desk very friendly or helpful.

From beginning to end our experience was wonderful. Everyone at this hotel was friendly. The folks at the front desk were very helpful when it came to identifying possible dinner locations. We stayed in a corner room facing a bridge, it was a bit warm because of sun and not being able to adjust the room temp, but overall the room was fabulous. The shampoo and body wash was amazing. The guys at the valet were awesome. I will definitely stay here again.

We arrived at our hotel only to be told that, even after checking in online, through the hotels website, the hotel had been overbooked. We were shuttled to another hotel that was half the scale of this one. We chose this hotel because Iโ€™d the location and the fact that it was on the water. Their claim was that they didnโ€™t have a valid phone number. On the reservation it had both our phone number and email address. No one ever tried to contact us. This was the poorest excuse for customer service of any hotel we have ever stayed at. What was the point of sending an email to confirm the morning of, if you didnโ€™t have rooms available? Pathetic.

It was supposed to be 4 1/2 stars, but 4 seems generous. The parking guys run the place. They are the main people other than restaurant workers and clerks with whom guests have the most contact. They are great. The front office staff seem young and inexperienced and I would call any of them innkeepers. The food was good when the kitchen wasnt down, but on the 4th of July weekend, it was down some of the time.Apparently, hotels have now decided to clean guest rooms only on request, a new post-pandemic policy. The front desk, if they do remind you of this change, does so in an undertone. Everyone tries.to be helpful but some are badly undertrained. For its location alone, I would go back, but this hotel is overpriced for what it is able to deliver.

Wow! Wow! Wow! So this place is definitely gorgeous. BUT, the best parts are the following: #1 Its soooo quiet. Slept crazy well! #2 Its perfectly located to get to everything. #3 Its Waterfront and the hub of activity never stops. Enjoy people, pet, and boat watching from the balcony! #4 Pussers Caribbean Grill is attached and delicious. #5 Take a ride on the Woodwind I or Woodwind II Schooners right off of the dock. #6 Annapolis Historic District, Naval Academy and general area is WONDERFUL. We fell in love with Annapolis and this hotel. Well definitely be back!

For the price $$$$$, youd think this place was a 5 star establishment. However, it is a mediocre 3 star hotel. Coffee and a work out room are the amenities. Not sure why they dont have a business center. Surely it cant be due to Covid.A computer is no more dirty than the sticky floor that greeted me upon arrival to my room. Is the furniture in the common areas cleaned each time someone used the seats? Not from what I was able to witness. Also, why have a wobbly 3 top (table) in the bar area? Its an easy fix. Its not like you needed the tables. Its an example of a lack of attention to detail.Oh, and mandatory valet? Yikes...prepare for wallet shock. There is nothing (IMHO) that sets this hotel a part from a Motel 6. Was surprised to discover this is a Marriott branded establishment. Okay, I will give you all a few kudos...the pillows were the best Ive slept on in any hotel. The front end staff were really great. The check in gentlemen I met after a VERY long day of flight delays, was nice enough to give us a few fruit bars to tide us cover until morning. But, I will not return. You get once chance to make a good first impression. In this case, you missed the mark.

Nice location. However, my partner planned a special occasion and booked far ahead to get room w balcony to celebrate special date. We get to check in at 4, and front desk tell us our room is not available. He explained when you book with Marriott, the hotel staff needs to do some manual process to log the room, and that several times a week they have a problem where the reservation is actually not available. Seems like a bad website if this happens several times a week, and there always having to tell guests that the room they booked is not available. Otherwise, the hotel is nice, just thereโ€™s a chance you wonโ€™t get the room you wanted.

First the good: Staff was very friendly and amenable, views were incredible, and the location couldnt be more convenient to get to anything you could want in downtown Annapolis. The bad: For what we paid, the amenities were lacking. There was no room service offered, and the restaurant didnt have most items we wanted. The TV didnt have a guide. The toilet paper holder fell out of the wall. There was coffee or soda splattered on the ceiling above the tub. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. And the water was luke-warm at best. The front desk did send a maintenance man up to fix this, which he did, but having a guy in our bathroom at 8pm on a Sunday isnt how my wife and I wanted to relax.Overall, the stay was pretty good. We had a nice time, had access to everything we wanted to go see downtown, and had stunning views of the harbor. However, for what we paid, the amenities and overall experience were lacking. If you are looking for a convenient spot in Annapolis where you can walk wherever you need, this is your place (plus the views are great, just be sure to request a room with a waterside view). If you are looking for a place to get away and get pampered for a night or two, I would suggest going elsewhere.

**This review is for weddings at the hotel**I would HIGHLY encourage any brides considering this venue to reconsider. Without going into too much detail, the past 6 months have been filled with a frustrating lack of communication, furloughing the only employee that I had contact with (without any notice or replacement- I was only notified when I sent an email and received an Out of Office with no guarantee of return to the hotel ever), and the complete absence of professionalism on their part. While I understand that these times have been challenging for everyone, the rudeness that I have encountered from some of these employees is nothing that I have ever seen before. They also offered full refunds to some brides who ended up cancelling and not others but declined to comment on their policy for doing so when asked.I would rather have a wedding at a highway truck stop than this venue.

My experience with the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel began very negatively. My fiance and I were looking for hotels for our wedding guests and us to stay for our wedding weekend. This was about a year in advance. As I asked the front desk employee about availability for that weekend, he cut me off telling me that rooms were very expensive and that it was a very busy time in Annapolis... implying that we would not be able to afford it. We stayed and continued to ask to hear about availability and he was unable to give us any information. The only information that he told us was to look online at their prices before we did anything else. This infuriated me and we took our business elsewhere.Almost a year goes by and my mother-in-law surprised us by getting my husband and I a waterfront room for our wedding night. I was expecting a luxury hotel room with the finest accommodations. We walked into the beautiful room and tried to turn on the light. The light did not work. Because of Covid, there was no room service available, disappointing but we understood the circumstances. We tried to call the front desk for a late check out and the phone also did not work. In the morning, we decided to take a shower... the water never got hot and would turn cold after a few minutes of being room temperature. That was probably the most disappointing part of our stay. Nobody likes a cold shower! The towels were also very thin and not the luxurious quality that I expected. The best thing about our stay was the view. We could see boats coming in and watched the sailboats cruise by. Although it was a nice room, I will not be staying here again. The quality and guest service was not worth the price of this stay. I was hoping for a much easier and hassle free stay for our wedding night. Now, I am happy that the front desk employee turned me off from having my closest family and friends stay here.

Decor is average, and service is average. This hotel is always priced above other higher end hotels in Annapolis. The front desk agent who checked us in was just awesome and super helpful. She gave us great recommendations and was accommodating to my minor requests. She might have been the best thing about the hotel during our stay. The only thing disappointing about the check in process was the fact that they informed us that the restaurant was closing early now and that there was NO room service (not even when the restaurant was open). This was disappointing because it was one of the reasons we cooked this hotel (with a hurricane looming) and would be something I would expect to be informed of in advance of booking. It was our default plan for bad weather. Had I known, I would have booked a different hotel. The room was super cute and very clean. However, it was also very small. And, the usual water bottles and toiletries (as featured in many a picture) were absent. No mini bar either. They were very accommodating about providing some water and some extra towels when asked tough. The toiletries bugged me out though. During the current times, Id prefer individual use toiletries instead of re-usable options. I am all for reducing plastic and keeping costs down and I know its not likely dangerous. BUT, hygiene and personal protection are at the forefront of many peoples minds these days. We were excited to stay here. In the end, it was a bit of a let down.We were happy to see same agent again at check out - she just brightens your day and has a way of smiling with her eyes that makes you feel better about things. Actually, almost all of the hotel staff were super nice and friendly. The check out was smooth and painless and the valets actually ran in the heat to get the car. I appreciated the hussle but it was not necessary and unexpected. Overall, the staff are the standout here and the hotel/amenities way overhyped. The beds and the location are the best things about it. Its a pleasant stay but I was kinda disappointed. Next time, Ill opt for an option that delivers on the hyped amenities and at half the cost.

Only complaints were the firmness of the bed (something I donโ€™t usually notice or worry about, but it was SO firm), and some weirdness with the shower (trouble adjusting the hot water.... and oddly designed so you have to get blasted in the face by cold water to turn it on before letting it heat up?). Check in, desk clerk, room, valet, bellman all great. Dinner at Pussers ,the band and fireworks after great. Next day was totally different. Due to New Years celebration did not get to sleep until 3 AM. Some genius at the hotel scheduled construction at 8:30 AM on New Years Day waking up all your guests. Constant hammering & other loud noises with disregard for the guests sleeping off the NYE celebration. Whats worse is when I called guest services and complained they said they would talk to the crew. After 30 minutes the noise was still continued so I called back down, the phone rang 33 times with no answer, I called again and the phone rand 30+ times still with no answer, I called the front desk this time and again the phone rang 30+ times with no answer. I called the hotel on my cell phone and still no answer. I guess they had caller ID.So we just got up and ordered room service. What a fiasco ! The kitchen forgot the cream for the pot of coffee ordered, forgot the orange juice, forgot ketchup for the home fries and Jelly for the toast. We had to wait 30 minutes for the creamer in which time the coffee got cold. When I called down to ask where is was, they said he would bring it up when other guests breakfasts were ready. What an amateur operation !! The pancakes were gooey and under cooked. The over easy eggs were over cooked. The english muffins were burnt and all this combined with cold coffee and lack of condiments made for a ridiculously horrible breakfast possibly prepared by children with no clue.Yea well you asked !

The valet attendant welcomed us when we arrived, we felt very special...first class service all the way. Beauiful blues carpeting, warm glowing fireplaces. The room large and truly spectacular view of the water from 2 large picture windows. All of this makes this place the best of the best in hospitality, comfort and more.

Really nice location. Even the worst room without a balcony is a great room. The staff is wonderful kind with all the local information you need. Lots of great restaurants and shopping. Every room has a view of the bay, some better than than others but all a great view. Pussurs is connected to the Hotel. You cant do better than that!!

If youโ€™re only worried about a place to sleep this hotel would be good, if you can ignore the cost versus other hotels in the area. The location on the water is great from seeing downtown Annapolis. The staff were very friendly and Pussers served us a great lunch. The room itself though, sardine can tiny and very basic, standard Holiday Inn type accommodations. Clean though and the bed very comfortable. No upgrades available at check in, which we have found to be pretty standard when your instructed to ask at check in.

We chose the waterfront location despite a few poor ratings as I had faith in the Marriott chain. We shouldve listened to the ratings. Incredibly poor service and basic amenities like hot water were a problem. This was shrugged off by the front desk, if you could even find someone manning the desk. Called down several times and no one bothered to answer. Went down twice to see if I could speak to someone and no one was there, in the middle of the day. The restaurant was a total mess, one of the attractions of this Marriott was that it had a dock side restaurant. Well the awning has apparently been broke since summer started so good luck enjoying your breakfast in 90 degree heat with direct sun. Our sweet waitress wasnt allowed to seat us at a table with an umbrella, those were only for lunch and dinner. Ridiculous. We had ICE COLD water in our room both days, if we werent there for a wedding we would have left after the first night. What a terrible stay. Not at all my experience with Marriott anywhere else in the US or the world at large.

The location of this hotel is the best in Annapolis. We had a large double bed room with a balcony and awesome views of the harbor. We were four women friends enjoying a two night get away in Annapolis in need of a room large enough for the four of us and this room fit the bill. The room was very spacious, nicely decorated and included a Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator and two vanity sinks to accommodate our luggage, cosmetics and wine. The balcony fit all of us as well and we spent the majority of our time together enjoying the harbor and good old fashioned conversation. Though you pay for the location, view and lovely staff, it is worth the extra money as the experience is transforming.

Great location and view! We were given a room on the top floor and it was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. Valet parking was a breeze and we were close to all of the local attractions and restaurants. Will definitely visit this hotel again!

I visited the hotel for a 2 day conference in October. The professionalism of the front desk, sales and catering staff was superb. As I sat in the lobby on my laptop, I could hear the pleasant and helpful manner in which the staff addressed their guests and answered the phones. I was also impressed in the manner in which management made requests from their staff and fellow co-workers. I believe this positive work environment makes for their productive employees.Although there was a small concern with my sleeping room, it was quickly acknowledged and addressed in the best possible way! Our meeting room was clean and setup with care and attention to detail. The food was hearty and delicious. The view from the patio, just outside our meeting room, was phenomenal. The hotel is in a great location--walking distance of shops, restaurants and tours. Our group was able to board the Schooner Woodwind for some afternoon sailing right at the hotels dock! I would highly recommend this hotel to both colleagues and friends.
