The old house I recently bought had extensive rot and structural damage in the window bay caused by water and carpenter ants. Another contractor said the damage was so severe I needed to replace the bay windows. Mike was able to replace the wood framing and redo my siding, saving my windows in the process. Mike was very communicative throughout the job, and did most of the work while I was away on vacation. I will definitely use Mike for my future home repair needs.

Mike did a great job re-siding my chimney. Job was completed on time and at estimated cost and looks great. He thoroughly explained what would be involved in the job, what the costs would be and what possible reasons might cause us to go over estimate. When the project got delayed a couple of days due to rain Mike indulged my paranoia about possible water damage on an exposed part of the chimney and spent some extra time covering it up even though the existing Tyvek was probably enough.

At the very end of June, I found myself committed to the idea of tackiling a major renovation to our upstairs with less than a month and a half until our new baby was to arrive. Mike, owner of MZF, was referred to me by a family friend. He and his crew came to the rescue. For the entirety of July, Mike and his crew showed up on time, worked hard, and got things done. They finished a few days ahead of schedule (!!) and left me with a beautiful new space just perfect for my growing family. Mike was great at communicating with me from start to finish even as I went away to work each day, and was respectful of my home. He really strove to make me happy. He has a great set of teammates who were competent and creative (and who showed up when they were supposed to!) While the final project ended slightly overbudget, it was justifiable and expected.
