Details of my experience: Tower told to not tow lot but to my house. They towed to lot instead because we always do. Guess what the cost to get it off their lot is? And you have hours to get it off the lot or you will pay a per day storage fee. If you want them to drop it in lot from their lot its an addyl $125. if you want a tow company to remove it for you-its $75. Which I knew they were going to charge crazy fees and that is exactly WHY I told them to drop it at my house 4 miles away. So frustrating!

The employees here were all extremely nice, relaxed, and inviting! Even over the phone they were patient and not rude, which I have found with other towing companies in Ann Arbor. They made the p rocess very easy. Thank you!

This was by far the best towing experience that I had. Michael was friendly, kind, and very considerate. I was thinking about having to pay several hundred dollars for a tow because I was on I-94 West, and ended up saving a ton of money by doing so. This is the best towing service that a person can ask for. I will be remembering to call them the next time I need a tow. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good choice in towing and even the MDOT people trust them, so they have a very good reputation in the Ann Arbor area

We had a car that had been dead in our garage for a year and werent able to jump it. We called Sakstrups to come tow it and the gentleman who arrived (his name patch said Jeff, so maybe Jeff?) was wonderful. He was able to get it jumped, gave us some advice to see how it drives, filled the air with tires, was upfront about the costs of the service call, and was friendly and professional as well. We ended up not needing the tow, just the service call, but would definitely call them again if we have a vehicle that needs towing.

Sakstrups was an easy company to deal with, very helpful when towing my motorcycle shortly after my accident. They were gracious with my needs and quick to respond to my questions. They were also very prompt, arriving on the scene of the accident in only about ten minutes.

They will steal from you, then lie about stealing from you.

The driver (#75) that came out and hooked up my car damaged the oil pan. He told me they will weld it, not replace it. Theyve also turned a half-day repair into a multi-day, multi-mechanic hassle. No talk of reimbursement for the tow, transportation expenses, etc.Ive called multiple times and every time somebody different answers the phone but they each seem to have the same ornery attitude. I could understand revisiting a business after a problem like this if they were courteous and apologetic but Sakstrups has been an absolute pain to deal with today.5/14/19:Lori followed up and heard my issues. She handled the transportation costs after the damage and promised to look into the phone problems. She was the best part of my Sakstrups experience.

My car broke down and these guys saved me!I must have hit something because my Golf suddenly lost power and I couldnt even start it. This was at 12:30AM on a Sunday night. This company was the first to pop up in my search and they took care of me. They said it would take 30 mins to reach me but it was more like 10-15. The price to hook up and tow was more than reasonable, after everything was said and done with hookup fees and everything I paid around $107 (~10 mile trip), due to the time this happened and everything else I was expecting to pay north of $200. The tow truck driver was extremely nice and sympathetic.On my phone these guys had a low review but thats probably just because nobody likes to be towed, but when an emergency arises they are there to help you. The driver was calming and understanding, and even gave me some tips for how to deal with insurance companies. Major props! I will use them in the future in the event something happens or I will recommend them to others if they are unfortunate and need a tow.Everything was done very professionally, very fast, and the price was lower than expected. If you find yourself stranded like I did then you cant go wrong with these guys! They will help you any time on any day. The driver even parked my car in a way that it looks like I parked it there myself. Everything was very professional yet courteous. I definitely recommend!

Very friendly. Very professional. Yes my car was towed but only complaint is the high cost. $254 for less than 24 hours. Just to pick up was $85. The tow to take it to their yard $120. One day fee $24.

It was four in the morning and I was stranded, and a desolated dirt road in Washtenaw County. I know this tow service, since we used on several occations at a collision center I used to work. They treated me like I would expect anytime we called them for our clients. They were there in 20 minutes or less, and Thomas the servie tow technician handled the call with upmost respect and proffesionalism. Top notch service!

Great service great driver. My daughter had an accident and they towed the car in after 11:00 pm and we picked it up before 11:00 am the next day. THEY ripped her off for two days storage.

The staff was polite and even went out of their way to help me coordinate things, deal with AAA, and get my car back when I was having trouble. When your axle breaks on a loaded trailer it makes for a rough monday! They showed up quick were able to winch trailer onto flatbed dump at a transfer station and deliver to repair shop! Tow operator was fast and did an awesome job and price was right!...

Young man who arrived to tow my GMC 3500 diesel pickup truck after other operators had failed was very impressive. He went through difficult & obstructed property and did what others could not/would not do. Instead of limiting his service to simply hoisting my truck on a flatbed transporter he showed up with an actual tow vehicle which, unlike others, he actually knew how to use and did so quickly and efficiently in the DARK. There are so few actual tow vehicle operators left today. Amazing! Thank you!

Unfortunately needed a tow on a Michigan game day (they get pretty busy and backed up with traffic apparently). Due to this the tow ended up being almost an hour late, but they informed me before hand that it would be a possibility, and I recognize that these things are out of their hands.I had a very pleasant experience and enjoyed talking with the driver, Michael.If for any unfortunate reason I need towed again, I would go through these guys.

Zach pulled up behind me on 94. I had pulled over when I realized the car I was driving seemed to be losing power. I believe it dropped the transmission and when I tried to move it, it wasnt budging. I was lucky to get it to the side of the highway. It was a very dark night, my clothes were dark and I only had about 35% on my phone. Before I knew it this angel was tapping on my window. He offered to wait while I contacted my insurance, whether I used his services or not. Of course, insurance was an automated service sending me through flaming hoops while my phone battery was dying... Zach was so kind and patient. He got me all set up and got me home safe and sound. To top it off, he gave me one of his DELICIOUS homemade cannolis!! I couldnt have asked for better service in what could have been a TERRIBLE situation. He was my Christmas miracle! Thanks Zach!!

Im sorry if others had horrible experiences, but they were amazing for me. They drove out of their usual working radius (very fast might I add) to get me off the highway because the driver knew I was stuck in a dangerous area. He towed me to a safe area, changed my tire quickly and I was on my way. Very fair pricing (was going to charge me the lower quoted price but I opted for the correct one because of the extra help he chose to give me. Id call them again with no doubt.

I ended up owing this place over $900 for a totaled car that they sold for $400. Anything to keep Americans stressed out and broke.

After the accident, the police on the scene called Sakstrup’s for a tow truck. He arrived in a timely manner, was polite and efficient. He cleaned up the glass and plastic from the street and delivered the car to in front of our house. He helped to make a stressful moment less stressful. I would be more than happy to recommend Sakstrup’s to anyone who needs roadside assistance.

I needed my car towed 97 miles home in the middle of the night. That’s a four hour trip north then back to Ann Arbor! I felt so bad but the man who hauled my car was amazing and didn’t let the long trip faze him! ☺️ So happy to have found such great people so far from home.

After being hit on US-23 heading south by a semi trailer, ripping my front end and wheels off my suv. I found myself facing incoming traffic on the bridge over the Huron river. No one stopped including the semi. I sat there for almost an hour before one of your drivers (Zac) stopped showing up before the police. He was checking to see if I was okay. He said he was on his way to another accident up the road. I thanked him for taking the time and understood he need to get to someone else. On the contrary he wasn’t leaving me till the police arrived. When the police arrived he stayed on and towed my vehicle to the body shop.Again Thank you Zac for making sure my night didn’t get any worse. I will recommend your services to everyone.

I live in saline and it was early Saturday morning. The receptionist was very friendly told me they would be here within 30 minutes to unlock my car and they were early. The serviceman was courteous and took great care not to damage my car and the price was very fair.

My car died and I had to get it towed to a shop today. It was a freezing day (close to 0 degrees) and the owner came out, gave my car a jump, and agreed to follow me to the shop in case it died on the way. Fortunately he was there when it died at an intersection, and he quickly hooked it up and towed it to the shop. Nice guy and fast service (they came in less than 30 minutes on what Im sure was a busy day)!

I had a wonderful experience with Sakstrups this morning. My car broke down as soon as I arrived at work. Someone picked up right away when I called. I wish I could remember her name. She was extremely courteous and professional and was able to give me a quote for the services and told me the driver would be to my office within 30 minutes. The driver, Larry, arrived within 20 minutes and was awesome! He tried to get the car going by trying a few tricks he knew first and then when nothing would work he got the car in neutral and hooked it up. My fee ended up being less than the estimate I was given over the phone. The staff at Sakstrups definitely helped make this horrible Monday a little less stressful. Thank you!

Took over an hour and a half to arrive, but its understandable given that this happened on the first major snow of the year and Im sure they were up to their ears. Once they arrived had a great experience though. The guy was cool and professional and was a great help.

Said they would be at my house at 9A, they were there at 8:59AM. Quick, courteous, and gone. They unloaded one car and loaded mine one a flatbed in 15 minutes.Great Service!

Even leaving a one star review is pretty generous considering the interaction I had with the employee that worked the front desk. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Constantly gave me dirty looks and had a rude tone every time I would ask anything. Im pretty sure I also caught her rolling her eyes at one point too. I go to university an hour and a half away from Ann Arbor and had my car towed when I came down to visit my boyfriend. She said oh well Canton isnt that far based on my parents address when I told her Im stranded and lived far away. I find your over the phone policy ridiculous considering my parents were willing to pay for it but were stuck at work and I had no cash at the time. I understand that its your company policy but as a stranded and broke college student this was a terrifying situation for me. Will NEVER come here again after that experience. Also, Im pretty sure your employee tried to purposely spite me by not giving me my license back because she handed the rest of my required documents back and on top of that, she failed to even try and contact me. Its not that hard to dial my phone number to tell me that my license was left behind. My phone number was left with her and I got no call. Worst experience Ive ever had with a towing company. I had to drive back the next morning to get my license because of that. Having my car towed was already bad enough but having terrible customer service was the cherry on the top of my already terrible day.

My tow driver was truly kind today. I had to move my dads car after he was admitted to hospice. The driver gave me a jump, and then when the car died again an hour later at Meijer he jumped me again for free.I had to compose myself for a few after such a rough day, and the driver circled back around to make sure the car was still running and I was ok.Whoever jumped an aqua Ford fusion twice on January 31st 2019, I owe you a beer or some cookies.

Arguing with customers, not explaining the outrageous prices when asked.. etc. She clearly needs to revaluate her line of work if she can’t handle it. Terrific service! He showed up 10 minutes sooner than AAA told me he would, had my car started in less that two minutes (my battery had died in the cold). He was very polite and helpful, explained to me how AAA’s battery service worked or replacing batteries in the road, and told me that I should either get with them or my mechanic ASAP as my battery didn’t look good. I am very appreciative of his candor and honesty. Sakstup’s is great!

I called Sakstrups when my car wouldnt start in a shopping center parking lot. Larry arrived in less than half an hour and went straight to work. When we discovered a simple jump start was not the solution, he was very helpful in agreeing to take it to our mechanic. We later learned that he also helped the mechanic push the car inside so that it didnt get covered with snow overnight. I call that service! I will call Sakstrups and ask for Larry if I need this service again, and will also recommend him to my friends.

The lady on the phone was SO rude and had such an attitude. She acted as though my call was a burden to her. I hung up and called another company for my tow. It’s a shame because I’ve always heard great things about this company.
