I have found my new hair stylist. I made an appointment with Carmen, after reading her qualifications in curly hair cuts, and I couldnt be happier with my cut! We discussed options, and she was so responsive to my preferences -- every step of the way. It takes a long time to get an appointment, so book far in advance. It is definitely worth the wait.

I left feeling great, and I still love my hair the next day! Andrew is so kind and funny and true, and most importantly he made my hair look amazing! I am a salon owner and have very long hair, partially because I can’t handle what other people do to my hair, but also because I want it to be loooong. Eventually down to my waist. My hair grows very slow, so every bit of length is cherished. My hair had gotten so thick and full that I couldn’t imagine anyone being able to handle it, but Andrew took his time and gave me seamless flowing layers. I’ve been getting compliments all day! Oh, and the salon is cute, sunny, modern, and bright. Great experience thank you.

I moved to the Ann Arbor area a little over a year ago and really stressed over leaving my old stylist. I heard from many that Samantha at Zev was amazing. So, I booked an appointment for a big chop and a color melt--and she did not disappoint. I have never had better hair!! 😊 Since then, I have had a few appointments with her and Ill never go anywhere else!! She truly takes the time and makes sure your hair is perfect and exactly how you want it before leaving--which is so appreciated. During my first haircut with Carmen, she took time to discuss my goals and asked me lots of questions about how I style my hair and then began to play with it to see how it lays, how my head was shaped and then washed it, and began to cut. She was extremely thorough, and explained what she was doing as she moved through my hair. This is hands down the best haircut Ive ever had. Carmen understands curls and waves. She was personable and eager to please and absolutely did. My first cut took a significant amount of time, almost 2 hours, but she was undoing lots of previous errors, she explained that future cuts should take less time, no complaints as she did such a great job.ETA: My secind haircut with Carmen took less time, she remembered everything we discussed the first time she cut my hair and continued to educate me about product, styling and make sure the cut was perfect before I walked out the door. My loose curls are alive again and I feel fantastic.

Went to Nichole to get my haircut and she is absolutely amazing! I had a few not so great experiences at salons in the area and had put off a hair cut for over 13 months (combination of COVID & nerves trying a new salon). She sat and talked with me for quite a bit at the beginning to get an idea of how I like to wear my hair, the mishaps from the previous cuts, and what kind of cut I was looking for. For context, I have thick, wavy, long hair. She made me feel super comfortable and the cut/style itself is FANTASTIC. Ive had haircuts before where there is a time period where I have to get used to the new style before I like it, but not with this cut.Also, in terms of logistics:-scheduling was super quick & easy and all done online-COVID precautions were excellent. It was just me and Nichole in the salon when I was getting it done (although this might have to do with scheduling a relatively early cut)-had to wear a mask, wash my hands, everything was sanitized beforehand, and spaced apart from other chairs (if there are other folks there during your appointment)Highly recommend this salon and Nichole is amazing!

Carmen is amazing! I know nothing about hair and she explained everything to me and was very honest about what was worth doing to my hair. (I wanted to go gray/ silver but I have dark hair and would need to go to the salon almost every month to maintain it). I got the best trim instead. It’s so light and fluffy 😍 She tamed my crazy thick hair. I will definitely schedule with her again.

Thank you Nichole and staff members for keeping everyone as safe as possible during the COVID pandemic! I had my hair colored and trimmed today and felt very comfortable with their safety measures. Everyone is required to wear a mask upon entry and the mask is required for the entire visit. There are plexiglass partitions up between the hair washing stations and all customers are required to wash or sanitize hands upon entry. Salon stylists are also positioned 6 to 10 feet apart. Thanks again for being so careful and caring for your customers and the community at large.

This place is amazing!!! I am so glad it is close to home. After a spell with a terrible stylist at another salon, I havent been to get a cut in a while. I hated my hair and wore it up all day. A good friend recommended Nichole to me as she has been seeing her for years. I took the chance, and I am so glad I did!! I have extremely resistant grays, and she’s the only person who has figured out the recipe to getting hair color to actually adhere to my hair. Always get a great color here but this trip I brought a picture of a haircut that was 5-6 inches shorter so a significant departure from my current look. Nichole talked me through it than duplicated it EXACTLY! I love it! And the color is perfect!
