We were walk ins. We were celebrating my birthday with a spontaneous girls day. Since the boys were otherwise occupied during the dayI was getting my nails done for the first time in 9 years! My girls were excited to get their nails done professionally too! We cant wait to go back. We loved that they also had kid options.

Johnny did such great job!! I had a bad experience prior and he asked to make it right and did such an amazing job he was kind about the whole situation and I’m obsessed with my nails

Laura did an amazing job! Very patient and perfected my nails and asked me if I was liking them through each step of the process. Very clean and accommodating. I didn’t have an apt and they sat me down within 15 minutes.

Everyone was very nice and friendly. I got quick service and exactly what I wanted. Will go back again soon.

I have long nails and when they did my nails they were all left uneven. The table was dirty! He was doing a lady’s nails right before mine and when heStarted he didn’t clean anything before starting my nails. Then when I left my nails were left with tht tacky feeling on the paint I told him they tacky and he says “it ok” and excused himself. Then while I was getting my nails done a lady walked in tht had ripped off one of her nails and her fingertip was bleeding! Once again no gloves! Glued her nailBack on “eye roll” then came back to me without even washing his hands!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED AND WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN ! Please go down the street to lily nails and get a correct and sanitary manicure also so much better quality! Save ur money people that place shouldn’t be allowed to be open

Got some dip done & it was one of the more painful manicures I’ve gotten... The nails looks ok on the top, but the underside wasn’t filed so there’s a bunch of clear stuff... Cuticle is bleeding. Felt rushed even though we made an appointment.

She was nice but my nails looked horrible and when she was finishing up with them her finger started to bleed and she didn’t bandage it till after and ended up getting her blood on me. I was not impressed. Will not be going back.

Went to Q Nails today and I found my new favorite nail place. They were so friendly and kind. Clean nail salon and they did a great job! I will definitely go back to see Johnny. Highly recommend!!

I dont have any depth of knowledge with what is supposed to happen at a nail salon. Got my first pedicure ever. Massage chair, warm foot bath, leg rub, grooming, and polish. Interesting experience for a guy like me.

Myself, my mother, and two sisters decided to get manis and pedis before vacation. We scheduled 2 weeks ahead and were still the last ones served, walk in appointments got served before us. It was clear that they accommodated their “regulars” even if they didn’t have an appointment. I came in with a picture of what I wanted, explained it 3 different times but had to give up because she wasn’t understanding me. One of my sisters asked for a certain shape on her acrylics but the nail tech just decided to give her a different shape because “all of gen z loves this shape”. Would not recommend going here and wasting your money...

This place is HORRIBLE. The staff is rude and rough. I went to go get acrylics on. the girl that did my nails used her nails to push my skin back and kept doing it after i yelled ow. She would yank my arm to get it close to her. My nails are extremely thick, uneven, and most are not fully on my nails. I can see the gap between the fake nail and my real nail. I asked for an almond shape and got oval shaped nails. She did not buff it out and it looks like I have 2 weeks of growth and its been less than a week. I would not go back to this place ever again.

I can not say enough positive things about Q nails! Every time I walk in the door they go out of their way to greet me and ask what I would like to have done. Today, I had a simple shellac manicure. I brought in a photo that I had saved from Pinterest. Vincent spent 10 minutes helping me pick out just the right colors. After my manicure he massaged my hands with lotion and then dipped them in paraffin wax. I expected to be all finished after this, however, he proceeded to massage my shoulders before I left! I absolutely loved my manicure and cant wait to go back! I highly recommend this nail salon for their beautiful manicures/pedicures, their personable atmosphere and their dedication to exceptional experiences.

Ann is my girl! She does my pedicures and shellac gel manicures. She does a fantastic job. Shes always kind and considerate and fits me in as soon as possible. Love her and her work!

I’ve been going to Q Nails since I moved to Ankeny in 2014. Just recently moved to Altoona and I still drive back just to get my nails done here! Extremely affordable, no one pressures you into getting more than you came in for and everyone is extremely friendly.Hot stone massages are only a $5 add on and paraffin dip is offered as well! Love Q Nails!

Got pedi and mani did wonderful job! Very neat made sure what I wanted.

My acrylics didnt even last an entire week until my right middle finger nail snapped in half. the service was awkward but alright. wont be going back to get them filled.

Johnny, the owner, does an excellent job. The other employees do a good job too, but I think you get the best quality from Johnny. Im guessing some of the negative reviews might come from misunderstanding/language differences. Again, only guessing here, as sometimes Ive had to explain things a couple of times. If they understand they will do it right, and I think sincerely want to do a good job. Been going there for 2-3 years now. Hope this helps. :)

This salon is very clean, efficient and good at what they do. There were tons of options and I felt very pampered. I had a mani pedi and both were perfect. I will be back for sure!

The staff were friendly and greeted me upon arrival. My nail tech was also friendly. She was however rushed and not very detailed. She filed my nails aggressively and drew blood on one of the fingers right before I pulled my hand away and said “ ouch”. She apologized but kept rushing. She didn’t take care to paint the gel polish to the edge of my nail bed. One nail never completely dried and had to be redone. I wasn’t impressed and will not return.

I went to Q nails on Saturday to have my eyebrows waxed and a full set of nails done. I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone. The nails are easily the worst set I have ever had. The tips are crooked, none of them are the same length and they are thick and flat. I asked her to keep them square and they arent. Some are, most are round. I have chunks of acrylic under all of them, and they are wedge shaped on the sides, and straight on others.My eyebrows turned out pretty decent other than the girl burned my right eyelid.I wish I could post a picture of how awful my nails look!!!

I had an appointment to remove gel polish and the woman wanted to use a grinder. Just left as this is a bad sign.

Staff at Qnails is always friendly and I have only ever had great service and quality in the services here. Waxing, manicures, pedicures . . . this is my go to place in Ankeny.

I have been getting my nails done for years and this is the worst sheliac i have ever had. They rushed through my manicure ripped up my cuticles to the point they were all bleeding. I will not be back. I dont recommend spending your hard earned money at this place.

I will not go back. i went with a friend to get pedicures, while she was getting hers i was soaking for 30 minutes in cold water. once mine started my nails were clipped too short and the polish looked horrible, instead of wiping off the polish when he messed up he just put more on and that made my polish uneven. i came home and re-did them myself. cheap pedicures but not worth the money.
