These guys communicated and found to be a vary transparent company. They gave me a 15 minute Courtesy call prior to arriving. I thought I needed a new tire. They were able to fix it and did not upsell me new tires.Highly recommended.

Tech didnt have the right tools to drop the spare. I stopped my job to help the tech for over 30mins because he couldnt get the tire down.He put the tire back on but forgot to properly tighten it.Thanks to this bumbling Buffon I almost lost my tire ON THE HIGHWAY!Failed at half of the job he was sent to do and caused major damage to my rig.

My first time having someone come out to fix my car. I felt really guilty because I mean theres snow on the ground and its cold. But my battery was dead, my tires were dry rotting and it was time for an oil change and I had no extra money for a tow. Logan came out fixed my car pretty quickly. Then I paid him half cash because I was told he had a card reader. Well today he didnt and the card I had was a typical credit card. So I told him I could drive up to the gas station and get the rest. He told me he would take me and drive me back home. No attitude, no being rude. I really appreciate him and I think it was Steve ( I apologize if I got the name wrong) who did my quote for getting me back on the road. They are awesome. The only thing is they operate like the cable guys. Come out between when they are open and closing no set scheduling per say. So make sure you can be home all day of need be.

These guys are AWESOME! So glad that I found them. After they were done with changing out my tires/rims, I called their shop and actually got to speak to the owner. I let him know about the great service I got and I would totally recommend them to anyone that needs this type of service. I didn’t want to bother with a tow truck and trying to find a tire myself. I called flat on the spot and the guy found me the tire I needed and they came to my house pretty quickly! Stress free! Fast and good price. Thanks guys!

I had a great experience with this company, I have had a slow leak since Friday decided to wait until monday to sort it. I called up at about 9.30am letting them know the car was at home and no issue for timing and Logan was out at 10.25, he checked the tyre and found a crack from a sharp rock but it ended up being the valve which he replaced, the whole process took about 15 minutes and he only charged me the callout fee, I dont know why there are negative reviews he used a pneumatic impact wrench for the nuts and then hand checked them no way those are coming loose.I recommend these guys if you are not confident to change the tyre or want to attempt to repair instead of replace the tyre.

Flat on the spot showed up hours after I called when I was told I was “next in line “ and mis-typed my vehicles mileage. My vehicle is now leveled with mileage inconsistency and is worth only $2,000 to dodge for a trade in. Management said they went in and fixed their mistake but many months later and I Carfax shows mileage inconsistency and no change in the mileage reported from them. As an owner of three businesses, we offer either refunds or price breaks on service if we made an error because things happen but they didn’t seem to care. Would not recommend.

I got a flat on the road. A local tire shop that did not do mobile work referred me to Flat on the Spot, but said they would be busy. He was right, they were busy. Flat on the Spot was very courteous on the phone, and up front about the time delay, about an hour. They called when they were on the way. Logan did the work. He was fast, professional, efficient. I would use them again.

My supervisor gave me a ride home and recommended Flat on the Spot. I called that day and made an appointment for the following day. In about an hour my car was fixed and ready to drive.So, when had the same problem this weekend, I called again. It being a weekend on Saturday, I completely understood why the couldn’t do same day service, but I called again on Monday morning and was put on the waitlist. I’d honestly expected to wait until Tuesday, but I got a call at 4pm that day.The service technician, Logan, let me know that my tire was unrepairable, which I appreciated, and was so nice about pivoting to put on the summer tires that I had stored.I can’t say enough good things about this business. They’ve been a godsend. Professional and personable.

I was told I was next in line to get a tire changeover and waited 5+ hours to find out from the service men that they took care of two other customers on their way to me.2. They incorrectly reported my vehicle mileage and caused the vehicle value to drop 80% and didn’t apologize.Convenient service but terribly unprofessional.

This has been a bad experience for me I will never use again or recommend this service. The price is crazy high to begin with then they charged my card twice. My husband and I called several times to get the issue resolved and have received zero assistance. Not one call back just keep being told the owner is out of town. Not sure how that’s my problem. So as of now we have paid almost $250.00 to get two patches done. Since I am unable to get any help from them I now have to go through the long process of disputing the charge with my bank. 😡

The first time I used Flat On The Spot, I got 2 new tires on my car. Jason not only helped me get the right tires but made sure I wasnt over paying. A few months later, my car broke down and Jason came to my house to fix it. It wasnt easy either, but Jason went above and beyond to get the right parts and everything installed to ensure my car was running again.Now I own a new car and being a single mom and small business owner, I dont have a lot of time and definitely dont have any mechanical knowledge- Ive joined their VIP program so now I have nothing to worry about. One of their mechancs comes to ME and checks on my car every month! Plus I get free oil changes and loads of other discounts. Honestly this is a God send. I cant be with out a car. Thank you!

Wonderful service! we had a flat tire that plugging didnt fix, we were 15 miles outside of Girdwood and when we called this business, they were so quick and helpful. the person who came out was incredibly efficient and helped us with getting our spare out long with putting on our tire. we are so thankful for this company, and definitely recommend if you are stuck on the side of the road like we were!!

There are several negative reviews. Im sure there are plenty of different reasons. Unfortunately they are likely posted from habitually negative, unhappy people. Its really hard to please the unpleasable. My experience today was perfect. I set up the service with Jason, the owner. The next morning I was contacted by Steve who performed the work. Everything went as planned and both Jason and Steve were a pleasure to deal with. Steve performed the four tire seasonal dismount and swap quickly and professionally. Did both our cars’ tire changeovers, sold and installed brand new tires for a great price, and changed oil. Technicians are friendly and knowledgeable, scheduling is a breeze, and didn’t even have to leave the house.

I’ll never forget when I brought my car there to get some engine work done. Boy was I in for a surprise , I had no clue it was just a tire place pretty much. I saw a sign that said automotive repair. Talked to the new owner and he seemed like a straight shooter. The things I was having done were not too complicated. Well this guy never called me with an estimate or anything. Said it was 2,700 hundred dollars or something crazy like that. Best part was I had to get towed out of there. Charged me 200 for a new battery ? Yea watch out for this crook. He ripped me off big time. Thought I was rich I guess because I had a classic car.

A brake line on my truck blew out right around the corner from their shop. I slowly coasted the truck into a parking spot. Since my truck has a lift the brake line needed to be fabricated. They were able to get a new line and was able to pick up the truck in the same day. The price was very reasonable for the job. Fast forward a few days... My brake light came back on so I decided to bring the truck back down to the shop. They did a quick diagnosis and found that a washer they installed on the caliper was cracked and causing fluid to leak. They swapped out the washer and was in and out in less than an hour, no charge. Thanks!

Called about mobile service, they were booked out a few days, fine. I then asked about on site service today, the lady said no mobile service today. I clarified that i was referring to on site and she said “ok have a nice then” and hung up .... i will not attempt their services again

In a dim bulb moment, I was distracted when I pulled my truck into the garage last night. I inadvertently left the key ‘on’ and murdered my battery. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Called FOTS, and Steve was great! It was in the -15 cold snap so they were busy, but same day he went to store, picked up a new battery, Called when he was on the way, brought it to the house, installed, and tested it. The service was about $115 plus the battery, but it was less than a tow would have added and probably a similar timeframe. For ‘emergency’ service with a house call, it seemed reasonable considering their vehicles to maintain, extra tools sets, working in various brutal temperatures, and risks being on the roads all more than endured in a store front garage. It used to be a great shop when it was Tiremobile. With the new ownership it isnt nearly as good.After getting my tires changed out for the summer, I ended up going to another shop to get my oil changed. While it was only a month or two later, the lug nuts were only finger tight. So I will definitely not be going back while its under its current ownership.

I just called and told lady that answered the phone that I am in the middle of moving and have a flat tire and car cannot be driven. Today is Monday. She listens to me then offers a THURSDAY appointment. Unbelievable. I understand about being busy..... but really??

I would have given them 0 stars for the rudeness and absolute un professional attitude. We dropped off a lawnmower tire and tube to be put together. We were told they would call when done, no call came and it was nearing closing time. We showed up and the tire was ready. However, the charge was $45, for installing a tube in a lawnmower tire in which we provided the tube. After commenting on the high price the young lady clerk stated, If you dont like the price you can do it yourself! This was directed at my elderly father. She then went outside and repeated her story to a group of coworkers who all laughed. Not a way to treat customers.

Called to fix a flat. Told me the rates and I agreed. Arrived a little before I was expecting. Perfect! Said he’s be done in 10 minutes. About 10 minutes came to the door to say it was not repairable. He could get me an entire set for $900 something. Holy cow! I paid him, called around the. Took the tire to Alaska Tire, another $25 fixed tire and I left. What a scam!!

This guy and his company are the best. He does exactly what he says hell do, fast, and hes such a nice man, so polite and professional. I buy and sell vintage cars, so I cant sometimes drive them to a tire place to have this all done. Im a big supporter of small local businesses, but if their service isnt good, I drop them. Charged $45 for an off the vehicle flat repair (patch) that was quoted for $18 at American Tire. My fault for not checking price beforehand but assumed the new owner was charging same as old owner as my customer information was still in the system. My bad... Asked price for alignment and was quoted over $165, so had that done at American Tire for $89. Owner seemed nice and competent, and claimed that he has to charge such prices to pay for rent and advertising,but I cant afford to do business here.

Store advertised to open at 0800, no one showed up until 8:10. Employees did not apologize for the inconvenience and were actually very rude. Service was very expensive for simple jobs, got much better prices elsewhere for the same job. I understand having a bad experience once, but I have been here multiple times and received terrible service. Would not recommend.

My experience at Flat on the Spot was one of the most disappointing transactions Ive had in a long time. I recently paid over $100 to have my oil changed there. The price seems a bit steep to me, but I hadnt asked the price ahead of time so thats on me. Shortly after, I left on vacation and when I returned there was a puddle of oil under my car. A bit of investigation revealed that the new filter installed by Flat on the Spot had been installed without the rubber gasket that should have come with the filter. I took a side-by-side picture of the newly purchased filter (with gasket) and the filter installed by Flat on the Spot (missing the gasket) into the shop and asked to speak to the manager. I wasnt angry; mistakes happen, but I wanted them to be aware so that the same mistake wasnt repeated. The manager (owner?) asked me if there was a problem so I gave him a synopsis of the issue and showed him the picture. He just stood there looking at me, so I told him that I had lost a lot of oil and wanted my oil topped off. He looked up the type of oil needed, turned to an employee and told him to top off my oil. That was that. Not even an apology, much less any recognition of the fact that I had spent over $100 for such shoddy workmanship. I was very calm and polite during the entire discussion, but got the sense that the manager couldnt care less about my waste of money or inconvenience. Admittedly, the shop was very busy because it was the day after the first snowfall of the year, but anyone interested at all in customer service would have at the very least taken two seconds to offer an apology. I am not in the habit of leaving bad reviews when a business disappoints me; I prefer to allow the opportunity for a business to correct their mistakes. Flat on the Spot failed big time in that category and I wont be shy about telling others about my experience. I like to see local small businesses thrive but something tells me that with the low quality performance and terrible customer service I experienced, thriving is not in Flat on the Spots future.

I looked at BBB website about this company - very bad picture. A lot of mistakes and no responsibilities. Too risky to give them a good car for any kinds of work.

Mistakenly rotated the tires around on the car rather than doing a changeover of changing from summer to winter tires. Corrected the mistake quickly and charged only for the cheaper rotation. I thought this misunderstanding was ridiculous and should never have happened.

I dont know if anyone else has things missing from their vehicle after receiving service from this company but I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. I had this company service my tire just for them to swap out the tire to my spare and they took my sons passport and birth certificate from the vehicle and also some electronic stuff. We called the company and asked to speak to the owner and the owner said it was already unlocked when his employee Jake came to swap out the tire but you actually need the key to get to the back where the spare tire is so he did unlock it. The car was at a private residence and was locked before he came to swap out the tire, and was locked when he was done. We are now watching his credit score and let the agencies know that these items have been stolen. Please do not use this company for you will pay more than 75.00. or if you are using their service, make sure nothing valuable is in your vehicle. Hard lesson learned. do not recommend this company.

My wife took her car there because the old Tiremobile guys always treated us right. Tiremobile was honest and told us on several occasions that we didnt need repairs we thought we did and would have happily paid for. The Flat on the spot are exactly the opposite of that. They listed a bunch of repairs we didnt need including new struts which we replaced last year. They told her that her car wasnt safe to take off the lots and that she would be in immediate danger if she did. She smelled a rat. And was right. We took it to the dealership with a list of their recommended repairs from these crooks. They told us what was really wrong and fixed it for 1/3 the cost they quoted. I guess they think they can scare women into paying 3x what is needed to fatten their pockets. Avoid this place like the plague.

Jason is awesome to deal with, his staff are awesome, this place is a homegrown alaskan business who will earn your business, I’ve had a good relationship with the owner for years and I’ll continue to bring any of my cars here to have tire service done.

Took in my rough running 2001 Expedition, suggested to Tiremobile it was probably another coil on top failure, although had not gotten a check engine light. They said no, it was the catalytic converter and sent me to a friends shop to save money. $1400 later, absolutely no improvement. Desperate and afraid of further dealings with any of these people, I bought 8 coils on Amazon for $65 total, and watched a youtube video. Changed the first 4 coils and, viola, a complete cure. Its been a year now and runs perfectly. Tiremobile doesnt seem to know what they are doing and I dont trust them.

I had a ton of work done there, they fixed things that didnt need to be fixed, had to go back 2 or 3 times only to find the exaust pipe disconected from the exaust manifold... AFTER PAYING FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE EXAUST MAIFOLD they did an incomplete job.DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to spend a few grand (and time without a car) just to get unfinished work in return and them wanting you to pay for the fixes they should have done in the first place!!The original reason for going in was a suspected CV axel break... they stated it was the breaks and roters insted, proceeded to call me a lier when I said i have changed both by myself 2 months previous, so I requested they check the calipers (thinking maybe they fused) they said there was no way it was, and replaced the breaks and roters.... only for me to come back 4 DAYS LATER with my car having serious problems picking up speed and stoping due to.... FUSED CALIPERS. Imagine my surprise when I had to pay for it.... after about 2 or 3 other stories about what needed to be fixed vs what was REALLY fixed, I will NEVER go back there. After all of the visits I found huge coolet leaks and compromised lines, as well as several oil leaks.CAUTION to ANYONE who goes here. I perssionally can not fix everything on my car, like most people. Of you want good service, i went to Alyeska tire on old seward and they fixed my car to a point that i feel safe driving it to fairbanks and back and i paid 2/3 what i would have paid here.

I decided to give a mobile service a try this year for winter tire change over rather than fighting the crowds at a tire shop. The communication was fantastic, and they arrived on time as scheduled. The team was very professional and removed my summer tires and mounted up my winter tires quickly - and I didnt have to leave my house. Considering the early winter tire change rush, they were able to get my appointment scheduled in a relatively short amount of time. I will be using them again!
