Finding an honest, convenient and competent bike shop in Amsterdam can be REALLY tricky. Frederic was a find. I always bring my bike here even if I have to cycle there all the way from where I live now. Fair price, good and quick service and bikes to rent. Always good customer service. Kudos.

This week we rented bicycles from Frederic. We are super satisfied and would like to share our experience. In a city where millions of tourists come every year, you dont expect to be helped in a casual relaxed way. That is certainly the case with Frederic. He is laid back and just also has good bikes. Due to a clumsiness of ours a lamp had broken off. That was handled in a very relaxed way. All in all we are very satisfied and have saved the number for a return visit. Highly recommended!

Easily the best bike rental location I have found in all my travels. The rental was easy and I was provided so many recommendations on where to go in the city. The bike was gorgeous and I had a brilliant time. We took the bikes out an hour before close and wanted to do a three hour rental and they allowed us to bring the bikes back at any time before the next morning and leave the keys in the mailbox. Not only that, I broke the key to the bike lock and they did not charge me. In fact, they told me not to worry about it and to keep having fun. I rarely if ever write a google review, but the customer service here was spectacular, as was the riding experience. 10/10 recommend!

Amsterdam is best explored by bike!I rented a bike for 8 days at Frederic’s and I was extremely satisfied with the service. Friendly staff, great sturdy bikes and the most affordable prices in Amsterdam. All bikes come with locks and chains so you don’t have to pay the overestimated and overpriced insurance that adds up.The last day I had a flat tire, went in the shop, the guy replaced my bike without any problem at no additional charge.I highly recommend this bike shop.

If you go to Amsterdam you will need a bike, it helps to explore the city without giving you blisters. You will also need a bike that helps you blend in like a local, trust me on this. The crew at Frederics bike helped us into bikes that fit us and worked excellently for many kms around Amsterdam during our 14 days. Highly recommend these guys for bikes, family feel place with people who care about their clients having a great biking experience in the city. See you again when we visit at Xmas.

We rent 2 bikes a few days ago. The staff was very friendly. We cannot return the bikes within the opening hours so i just made a call to request for extra rental time and they were very flexible with that 👍👍👍. The bikes worked perfectly. First day we travel 40km and the second day 120 with them without any problem. I can absolutely recommend Frederic Rent a Bike👌.

Hands down the best bike shop in Amsterdam. Mechanics are very friendly, service is fast and prices are below market. If you need your bike repaired this is the place to go.They also rent bikes to tourists and are knowledgeable about the city.

Love this little shop. The guys were friendly and helpful to deal with. We have rented on 2 occasions and will do so again! We rented an ancient small bakfiet and had a blast. My daughter thought the bakfiet was really fun!!!!!

I rented a bike from these guys for riding around Amsterdam and going into the countryside on a 3-day bike tour. The staff was very friendly and helpful, with no annoying up-selling. The bike was great, blended in with locals bikes, and was well-tuned. The price included insurance, multi-tool, tire repair kit, pump, and panniers. They also had plenty of good recommendations for lesser-known fun things to do around town.

My husband and I rented bikes here to take us to the museum for the afternoon. What fun! The service was pleasant and professional.

After a failed attempt to rent bikes from the shop across from our hotel, we found Fredric bike rentals and we are so glad that we did! Everyone at this family owned business was friendly and welcoming. Each bike is unique and not painted an obnoxious color that screems tourist, one of the most refreshing parts of the experience is that we were treated like people and not cattle.

Would have been four stars if it wasnt for the two fools working in the shop -- they were both rude & condescending. Learn how to treat customers guys. Wouldnt recommend this place because of them. Fair price and a lovely more helpful woman working there who took care of the paperwork and exercised much more class.

15:00 hrs.....closed during opening time!?!?! Note says Back in 5 minutes, which is a lie, Ive taken off from work to get here well during opening times, Ive been waiting for much longer than 5 minutes, nobody shows up, nobody answers the phone, so I came for nothing and have to take my business somewhere else, grrrrr. Sorry, like the prices, but had one too many not so customer friendly issues with these people in the past...grow up

Rode to the sea with the rental bike from Frederic Rent a Bike. Great bike with gears. Great for the 4 vertical meters that you have to overcome on the way to the sea 😊😉Very stable, great price. Definitely borrow your bike here. Very friendly, nice advice. And everything is very straightforward!

Great bike rental in a central location.We borrowed 2 bikes for 3 days in Amsterdam. In addition to 2 city maps, we also got useful tips on what we can do. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us. When my bike had a little problem, it was replaced without any problems. We paid 10 € / day per bike for 3 rental days. A fair price in our opinion. We can recommend the Frederic without any restrictions.

You can take a bike for 24 hours, change your mind, and only return it at the end of the week without any problem. You will then pay the difference. The longer you rent, the more the price decreases.Family shop. You can go there with your eyes closed.
