Went to get dip on my nails. Lady was extremely rushed and very rude. Kept swatting my hands and squeezed my friend’s and my arms very hard making a “massage” painful. Inconsiderate and unpleasant. Offered drinks and never brought them. Paid $50 for nails that look like they should have been $10. See through and uneven. Complete waist of my money and will never be going back. Have never had such a horrible manicure in my life.

Do not recommend for full set of acrylics. Poor costumer service and hygiene. They told me it would be $20 for I wanted and ended up paying $35. The nails are not even and the color work looks tacky. I asked if they could fix it and he told it was the light that made them look like that. The women that did my nails was in a rush and did a very poor job. Was not nice about anything. I don’t think it was anything personal, I think thats how they treat people generally.

First time here. I came with a coworker/friend and we both got pedis and manis.The lady I had was very thorough and took her time, more than anyone Ive ever had.Im two weeks out and my nail polish is still on.The parking here leaves alot to be desired because of the dance studio that is now next door so plan on parking elsewhere.

Used a dirty file on my nails. Asked for a dipped ombre. Colors already picked out and next to my nail tech they then proceeded to get a different color of GEL POLISH and paint my nails then add dip for the ombre. Charged me nearly 60 dollars and it wasnt the colors or style I wanted at all. Wouldnt recommend.

Best nails place in Ames. Most colors of dip powder youll find. Everyone is super friendly and talented.

Over all good experience. Myself and 3 of my friends went to get manicures. I am very satisfied with the shape but the design technic was fine. The man who did mine was extremely thorough when filling in my acrylics making them the perfect thickness which I really appreciate. Very gentle and relaxing experience, the hand massage at the end really topped of the experience.

Got a full set acrylic manicure for $65. I know that is a bit pricey but they did such a great job. They formed them to the perfect shape, always asking in between tasks if they look okay or if you want to change anything. Took their time and made sure I got what I wanted.It was my first time in, and it for sure will not be the last!

Scheduled an appointment for 3pm on a Sunday, got me started right on time. Staff was friendly and quick without feeling like you were being rushed. Colors are organized, everything was clean, and ultimately I loved my nails - which normally I am very picky!

Ive come here twice so far to get ombre dip nails and both people who have done my nails were amazing and truly pros at their craft. And very kind. The price doesnt matter when you know they are going to do the best possible job. I will be coming here for the foreseeable future.

I have been to Ames Nails a few times now and have had a good experience every time. Nails always look good and the techs are friendly. Plus free water, soda, or wine!

The quality is good, but the lady doing my nails rushed through and made me bleed on a couple of my fingers. She was also pushing down hard with the nail fail and cut my fingers in a couple of places. I just dont think I shouldve paid $69 for what I got. I just know if I go back I dont want the same lady..

I received a manicure with tips and shellac from Amy! She is not only super sweet and kind but she also is VERY meticulous and detail oriented! Definitely will be a new long term client. I haven’t been this satisfied with my nails in a long time! They are great about covid regulations so I felt super safe while getting my nails done.Also, worth adding.. I broke two nails and they repaired them on the house! A business that takes pride in their work and has awesome customer service.

I have been coming to Ames Nails for years (they used to be located in Wal-Mart). They always do a good job at a fair price.

Asked for a fill on dip was told you can’t do that it has to be a new set every time and I get fills elsewhere so I got a new set my nails have gaps between the actual nail and the dip I didn’t even have them a week and they were cracking and lifting I won’t recommend this place nor be returning

I used to go a place in Ames regularly to get my nails dipped. I tried this place because the wait was so long at the other, this place was amazing! Cheaper, more color options, and free drinks (water, wine, soda) with services. My nails have always turned out great and the pedicure are wonderful too! Always will return.

Love the comfortable friendly atmosphere. The ladies who did my daughter and Id Mani and Pedis were great. And their process are affordable. To those that want beautiful nails, but dont want to spend a fortune, I recommend Ames Nails.

My daughter and I really like our nails but I wanted a full face wax and sat and waited for over 30 minutes. Come to find out the guy who did my daughters nails said that I preferred a woman, which is something I never said. So I sat and waited and ended up leaving without the wax because of the ridiculous wait. I won’t be back. That’s ridiculous!

Went on a Sunday afternoon ended up leaving because we sat there for an hour after our appointment. Rescheduled for Monday as soon as they opened & got right in. The lady was very kind & to get my dip nails taken off & redone it ended up being 43 dollars. Would recommend this nail salon. Just maybe not on a Sunday. :)

Absolutely wonderful experience! The gal that did my nails was amazing and really listened to what I wanted. I have gotten so many complements on my nails and really loved the service they provided. The salon is also so clean and relaxing. Also! When they asked me what shape I wanted, they had a chart I could pick from. Ive never had that before and really appreciated the visual! Cant wait to go back.

I have gone to this salon once before Friday and I will never return. The woman wouldn’t let me get the colors I wanted and put my acrylic nails extensions on crooked. When I went back to get them fixed I was told to come back later. Okay, fine. My friend and I came back and I was told they were supposed to be crooked. I was like, whatever just please change the colors. He refused to take the powder dip (that she INSISTED on us getting) off, so he just painted gel OVER it. Was done really sloppy, but with the colors I wanted. So, We left and not even 12 hours later did they start peeling up. As I was trying to get the powder dip off myself (since they refused) I noticed I had an itchy, scaly spot between my fingers. Low and behold a freaking infection from insanitary practice. I will never step foot in there again and I urge anyone reading this to do the same so you aren’t out $60 as well.

This was my first time there. I was a walk in too, cause the nail place in wal-Mart was gone. A pedicure was my mother’s day treat. I love Ames Nails! The woman that took care of my feet was very nice and attentive! This is my new nail place! Can’t wait to come back and get a manicure next time!

I had a stress-free experience while visiting Ames Nails, which is how pampering should be! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The technician working on my nails ensured I received a quality result. During my service she stopped to ensure I liked the color, length, and shape of my acrylics. And when I wanted something different, she did so with no complaints! Additionally, Ames Nails was incredibly economical. I got a full set of shellac acrylics and a toe polish change for $50. I will be returning!

I went here with a friend and got acrylics with gel and shellac. And they turned out amazing! They feel comfortable and look amazing. 100% the best nail place I have gone to in a very long time. Everyone there looked like they knew what they were doing and professional. 10 out of 10 recommend! Everyone was kind and patient. Definitely my go to nail place.

I had a wonderful experience here! Tony did my nails and Amy did my friends, they did an amazing job! Definitely recommend Ames nails, Ive been to multiple places in Ames and this has been the best so far! I got acrylics and normally it takes an hour, but here it took about a half hour here. It was also the nicest and cheapest manicure Ive ever gotten!

Clean, organized, and very attentive people. They did my nails exactly how I asked and I am SUPER happy with the results. They have great English, and their service was awesome. Making the change from my usual place to here for now on. Plus they are cheaper than other places in Ames!

They did an excellent job on my daughter and my nails. The wait wasnt horrible either and they dont jump client to client like other places.

I absolutely loved it here! The facility is brand new and super clean. Plus all the workers are extremely nice and they did a wonderful job. You get free drinks while there and you just can relax. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax, get their nails to look incredible, and to know that everything is very sanitary.

If I could give a zero I would .... the worker had no clue what a ombré nail was and my nails are horrible. One is so crooked it’s not even lined up with my finger and two other nails got filed after polish and looks absolutely horrible and she charged me 7 dollars more then the last time I paid for the exact same thing . Don’t go here . Take you money where they know what there doing

Very nice, new business, and my nails do look good. The reason I give one star is because the man who did my nails cut 5 of my fingers...with a nail file from filing too aggressively on the sides of my nails. They are like paper cuts on each side of the nails and it is very painful. One other thing I was not a fan of was the lack of options they have for dipping powder colors, however, I understand it is a somewhat newer service in many salons so they dont have a lot of options.

I hate to write a bad review but this was a terrible and expensive experience. The facility was VERY dirty and my pedicurist used a previously-used pumice on my feet. He actually wiped out the wash bowl then used the same towel to wipe off my calves and feet! My sister’s experience was no better with a different pedicurist, who also used unsanitary practices. We tried to talk to the manager but he barely acknowledged us.We will never go back!

I had a great experience for my first time at Ames Nails. It is very clean and spacious. The staff are friendly. I enjoyed visiting with Kevin while he did my First Class pedicure and shellac manicure.

Today was my second time visiting Ames Nails and I am sad to say I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I went in for a full set of acrylics and was treated rudely by the man who did my nails; he was very rough with my hands, making it an uncomfortable and painful experience, and was obviously very impatient despite the fact it was a Monday afternoon and they werent too busy. I have had quite a few acrylic sets done at various nail salons in the past, and I have never had such a poor, sloppy job done before having them done at Ames Nails. The gel polish was not applied evenly and had transparent spots and bubbles in it on more than one nail, and it had already began peeling off by evening time the same day. I ended up having to clean my nails up when I got home because there were chunky bits of acrylic around them and I even had to scrape dried super glue off my fingers. It was overall a very poor experience and a waste of $50. I will not be returning to Ames Nails again, and I definitely plan on finding a new nail salon to call home.

Was my first time coming here and the lady that did my nails rushed through the whole process. She then proceeded to make me wait almost another 15 minutes before she even colored my nails while she rushed through my friends nails. She then told me I had to pay before she could put the color on my nails! When she got done putting on my friends nails she hurriedly put my color on and then rushed me to the drying station. I gave 2 stars because she did a descent job and didnt make me bleed like some other nail techs have. But I also gave 2 stars because of the poor customer service.

We had called ahead on a Sunday afternoon and still ended up waiting 45 minutes to get in. The gentleman that did my nails was very personable and I really enjoyed him, but less than three hours later my nails were already chipping and less than 24 hours later most was worn off.

Brand new nail salon in town. Very clean and everything is new. Big and spacious location inside and out. Reasonable prices for everyone. All the staff are friendly and there are free drinks, wine and wifi.

Pedicure could have been better. Paid $45 for their top pedicure, but very little time was spent on heels and soles of the feet, which is the purpose of a pedicure. Probably wont go back.

Loved it. My mother and I got our nails done on may 12th and they were awesome. I got gel and my mom got overlays. We left pretty happy.

Went in around 3:30pm. Asked if they had time for a Dip set and a mani for my sister. Asked if we could come back around 4:40. We said ok, and came back around 4:40. They then asked if we could come back tomorrow. We wasted time for that hour when we could have gone elsewhere and got our nails done, but now everything is closed. Very rude. If they didn’t have time that is ok! But to ask me to come back and then when I do to say they don’t have time is just rude. Will not be back.

Decided to try a new salon in Ames, but was sorely dissappointed. These lower prices definitely equate to lower quality. I got a gel manicure and it was chipping after only three days. (I do have my own gel system but decided to splurge on the experience....) After the first few chips, I decided to apply my own clear gel coats to try and save it. I could clearly tell under my lamp that she did a terrible job with her top coat application. I will not go back here (and you should save your money and go somewhere else too!).

Everyone is very friendly and incredible at what they do! This is my go-to for mani-pedis, they give their customers free drinks & are even cheaper than most other salons I’ve tried! I recommend them to all of my friends!

I had never had a manicure of any kind and didnt really know what to expect. Everyone was friendly, explained everything well and when I bumped my nail during the drying process they did not hesitate to fix it. I am now a proud owner of acrylics and I couldnt be happier. (ps. Arylics and polish was $26.75)! I highly recommend!

Quick service but they didnt so that great of a job... 8 of 10 nails are really lopsided with the acrylic and 2 nails are crooked as well as 6 of them having other minor imperfections that cant be seen but can be felt on the nails.... will not be returning here.

Ive had pedicures done regularly for years.. however my first time here, also my last. my nail tech was not only not friendly but very rough. The whole process hurt from the beginning. She scrapped my feet so bad that I left bleeding. I was trying to pull my foot away and she asked that tickle? No.. it hurts. Then she noticed me bleeding and put a bandage on it and just said sorry about that and continued beating up my feet. I finally just said can we just be done? and she said you in a hurry? yes, yes now I am..Thank you, Ames Nails for leaving me with open sores on my feet. Worst $42 Ive ever spent.

First time i went to get nails fixed lady did an amazing job, went again to get them repainted today and charged me more for doing less, he was rude and did a terrible job, the thumb nail that he redid doesnt even look like my other nails

This was my first visit and I was not thrilled with the roughness on the edges of my fingernails and the fact that they didnt sand the underside of the nail to get rid of the fingernail ridge from my nails.

Definitely didn’t enjoy the service or my nails first time going today and I’m just not pleased
