First of all they answer the phone, unlike some other locations. Second even though they are closing at 4 pm the female employee (should have asked her name) said if we can make it by 6 pm they will be in the office and would be happy to change the car. She was very pleasant and try to go out of her way to help.

The rented my wife a truck with no Spare tire She had She had a flat 40 out of40 minutes out of AmarilloTraveling aloneShe first tried using the OnStar emergency call which Was disabledThen spent four and a half hours on hold before giving up Had to leave the truck with Valuable equipment in the backMore than 30 phone calls all going to automatedSystems with no voice response except for reservations at a call center overseas

My rental experience was great (awesome team-great attitude: Pauli, Amika, and Nick). I rented a cargo van from this location for week during the February 21 Winter storm that hit Texas. Customer service and quality of the equipment was excellent.

We reserved a rental a car from here. They emailed us a confirmation number, gave us a pick up time and address where to pick it up. When we got there the place was permanently closed. No pick up on the phone with customer service. Looked them up online, says all hertz have been closed permanently in all of amarillo.

We had an excellent experience the first time, and have recommended them to many friends. This time the car wasnt ready when we went, and they kept adding to the price of rental. Then they said they would take care of it upon return. Well on return they said the car smelled like smoke, and they found ashes in the car. They didnt show them to us and since im the only one that smokes, I know for a fact 100% that no one smoked in that vehicle, so no im not going to buy a smoke bomb. They was supposed to let me or my daughter know the final payment today ( which as of yesterday was over almost 200 more than original quote). I dont think Ill use them and surely not recommend them if they dont make things right. Also today there was 350 randomly taken from my account. The whole trip we had the bottom plate rubbing, and when we told them they said yea it happens alot with that model? Im highly upset with them and cant use my banking account till everything is final. I should of stuck with enterprise, I did give them one star because original sales rep was nice and found couple discounts, but she turned us over to older lady in middle of things that didnt seem to know what shes doing. Plus our whole trip oil light was on. Oh also 1st time it was 200 deposit this time it was 500, its been less than a year.

Last month, I needed to make a quick trip to Co. Springs. I needed a small U-haul. However, I rented a cargo van from Hertz and it was perfect! It cost much less then U-haul and twice as nice. I was so happy with the ladies that helped me and I wish I remembered their names ugh. They were so helpful and took care of everything! I highly suggest this Hertz location!

Horrible service. Had to call 4 times to make a reservation and after that they couldnt find it on their system (once they actually searched it was found-so just a lack of effort). They were suppose to call me the next morning (for two days) and it never happened.Finally get to make a reservation and arrange for them to pick me up after I had to drop off my vehicle to get some work done. They were nearly 45 minutes late even after calling to the office to check on the driver TWICE. The office is 6 minutes from the shop, so Ill give them 10 with traffic but no idea how it could take 45??? I was the only one they had to pick up at the time and there were two people sitting the office around not doing really doing anything when I finally got there. Ended up being 45 minutes late to work due their tardiness, which should have been obvious when I said when making the reservation that I needed to be picked up at 8 and I would be ready before that so I could get to work on time!Office staff did not want to inspect car and without my permission wrote inspection declined on the sheet.Needless to say, I will not be using Hertz ever again and I would have left if the car wasnt paid for by insurance without a choice as to service provider.Highly disappointed. Would not ever recommend to anyone.Highly unprofessional, hard to get on the phone and communicate with, dont think any of the times Ive called I havent instantly been put on hold, HORRIBLE customer service.

If you’re going to run a credit check on prepaid rental cars and refuse to provide a car without a credit card then that’s information that you need to provide when the car is initially rented, not when your customers are there waiting for a car that you can’t provide because of your terrible customer service. If we had known in advance then we could have planned accordingly but the lack of business sense left us screwed!! Looking forward to you guys going out of business in this economy!!

This Hertz rental location is horrible... Terrible customer service, very unprofessional and will not do any work for you... I called and wanted to upgrade to a bigger vehicle and they told me they had nothing available there and so I asked them to check the inventory at the airport and they told me to call and check myself even though I rented from there location and wanted to trade in...when you walk in there it looks like they are all on drugs...would not recommend Hertz..I will be using enterprise for now on..

Very friendly and helpful.. after the wicked drive I had Mrs Marissa helped me alot and when Mrs marrisa couldnt do no more she called her manager ema Garcia whom went out of her way to get me in a car I wanted.. I was surprised hertz even stayed after hours to clean my car that I needed and bought me dinner..
