I wish I could give this 0 stars. This was my first time renting from Budget. I chose them because they were close to where I was. I reserved a car for $64 and after adding insurance would have been $88. I realized that when returning the car that I was charged $119. When I asked about this the man simply said thats the price which was less than helpful. Also the airbag cover was hanging off and when I called to tell them they just said thats fine, well add a note also the car had a sticker saying itd been cleaned, but when I dropped my phone under the seat I was greeted with a handful of what looked like Ritz crackers and gold fish. I rent cars fairly often, but I will never go here again.

The 3 stars are for the car because it was beautiful and rode like a dream. But yeah its good to know other people were wondering what was up with Carlos, I thought he just hated me!

This guy (carlos)are so rude the car are not ready on time dont come to this location and fast track is not working dont sign electronically because they dont have it very bad I am waiting and still didnt get my car. He also accept other person before his time and denied who ever doesnt looks

Bad customer service. I wanted to exchange the car I rented for 4 days, which I originally didnt want the next day.I had to wait 40 minute because Mr. Castillo the manager was out to lunch. After explaining the issue to Mr. Castillo he seem bother that I wanted to switch to another car. He got passive aggressive when he was doing the paper work for the other car. I then decide I didnt want the car. I will never go back again. Another customer walked in with same issue.

My experience here was HORRIBLE to say the least! The customer service reps were late coming to work and my car was dirty! About 20 minutes into my trip, a warning light came on. I immediately called customer service and they said they would give me $10 for it! Didn’t ask what the warning message light was just $10 for my safety! When I returned the car at 9am the next morning (Because that’s what time they open on Sunday’s) the rep said he would still charge me an entire day since I wasn’t there at 8am....even though he wouldn’t have been either because they weren’t open!!!!! I will NEVER rent from this budget or ANY budget EVER AGAIN. I will stick with Enterprise who I can ensure will give me a sense of safety and professionalism!

This budget car rental office is located in the Embassy Suites Hotel in Altamonte Springs, so the location is incredibly convenient for anybody staying at the hotel. I rented a Chevy Malibu for a week in December. I was very happy with the car and customer service. The fellow running the office is very polite and efficient. I will definitely be renting from this location again.

The gentleman AJ was very courteous, and unflappable in the face of a line and sudden car issues affecting availability. Witnessed him travel to a nearby location to get a car for a couple. Didnt get aggravated when I came back and wanted insurance after all! Was very easy to book car ahead on website. Very pleased with my experience.

Rental went smoothly, however I was charged 3x almost a month later, for tolls that I didnt plan on. Followed up with the company but apparently they had proof that it actually was me...go figure. They really should tell you that toll charges, and a surcharge can come a month later for tolls.

The rental I got was dirty, high mileage and smelled like cigarette smoke. I got it for a business trip and didnt have time to try and get something different. Once I got to my destination I found and car wash and air freshener. First and last time I rent from this location. I must say that the employee was friendly though, thats the reason for getting 3 stars instead of 1.

I will never come here again! After I was denied a rental car because I do not have a major credit card (I was using my debit card which I have used plenty of times before to rent a car), we tried using my fiances credit card. This did not work however because the hold needed to be put on my card. We decided we were just going to go somewhere else when he didnt want to work with us. As we were about to leave this man called my fiance an offensive name and my fiance became upset. We left immediately as this man chased us out the door screaming at my fiance. He went to try to hit him but I stood in between trying to break it up. I was able to get my fiance out of there but this behavior for any establishment is reprehensible! No one should treat someone that way especially someone in the customer service industry. I will never again use this location again let alone budget! One star is even too much for this place.

Convenient location, new and clean car, only one customer in front of me at time of pick up so my wait wasnt long. However, did not have an after hours return drop box so had to go back again to return keys the following morning.

If you are going to be going through any tolls, please stay away from this company. I have utilized my own toll transponder, but continue to get billed for toll charges. Prior to using the vehicle I confirmed that the Budget rental car pre-installed transponder was in the off position. I also confirmed with Sunpass that my transponder was working and my account was charged. When reaching out to this company to discuss the charges, all you receive is the generic, As stated in the terms and conditions of your Budget rental jacket in the section for Rental Charges, by signing the rental agreement, you do allow Budget to submit your own billing information for toll charges. If I wanted to re-read the terms and conditions, I would have. Dont insult our intelligence as customers by replying in such a condescending way.

I had an unexpected emergency on a recent trip and needed a rental car which I picked up at the Palm Springs California airport. The only vehicle they had was a compact Ford Focus, which is what I took. The counter agent asked me if I wanted the GPS which was INCLUDED in their price so I said fine although I know my way around Palm Springs and I have an iPhone with GPS in it so I didnt need it. I was just trying to expedite the process.I did not know how long I was going to have the car but it ended up only being 26 hours. I drove exactly 42 miles, which Budget acknowledges. Imagine my surprise when I returned the car 26 hours later and was charged $345.01.My friends had rented a car for a week and paid only $228 for 7 days. I WAS SHOCKED.One charge on there was a fuel charge for over $53.00. When I inquired why that was on there as I paid to return the car with the pre-paid fuel option so I didnt have to worry about refilling before returning and I had only driven 42 miles, they told me if you drive UNDER 75 MILES that option does not apply. DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE???The long & short of it is I had to fight with them on the phone for hours and was given a moderate adjustment to this bill but they sneak things into their contract language and counter agents mislead you as to whether or not something is included in the fee. I learned a very COSTLY lesson and will never, ever rent from Budget again.

I had my rental car less than 24 hours. No passengers or objects were ever in the front or back seat. I returned the car in clean condition. Now 2 weeks later I receive a letter accusing me of returning the car with excessive sand/ dirt. This is impossible since the car was used only for 3 hours of highway driving and returned the next day. The letter says my credit card will be charged $150. A TOTAL SCAM. When you return the car they ask you to just write down the mileage and just turn in the keys. No one comes out to look at the car. I should have insisted that the employee come and inspect the car and tell me to my face that it was dirty when it clearly was not. I can only hope that this whole thing is a mistake and the Budget employees are not just devious liars.

We have been renting exclusively from Budgets Lake Mary, Florida location for our business trips. We have had a few problems. First trip, we were sold an upgrade with GPS and XM radio. Neither worked. Called Budget right away and the managers response was someone must have taken the chip out. (No refund and/or discount. So unfortunately we paid $74 for a pointless upgrade) Next trip, none of the outlets would work so it was impossible to charge my cell phone, which is very much a necessity while traveling. Spoke to the same manager, you should have brought the car back. Really? Who has time to turn around 3 hours into a business trip? No offer of coupon, discount etc. And to top it off an additional $65 was added to the bill for an additional driver which we thought was free. Budget has horrible customer service and a lot of extra fees. We are trying a different location and hoping that helps but if not we will be using a different rental company.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! On two separate occasions I reserved a vehicle from this company through orbitz. I pre-paid for the rental insurance online and drove 20 miles paying multiple tolls only to arrive at this location and find out they not only did not have the vehicle I reserved but they also had nothing else to offer me. I called the customer service number the clerk begrudgingly handed over, and the company said they could refund me the difference I paid through their competitor. However, their competitor was inadvertently cheaper. They sent me one very unprofessional email informing me they would not be reimbursing me for any time or money spent on their inefficiencies because their competitor was cheaper. The first time I missed a very important business meeting due to not having an available vehicle. The second time I missed an appointment and was late to pick my five year old up from school because I had to drive to another company and rent a different vehicle without notice - with a two month old in tow! This company has no value of your time.

Very poorly staffed. Took 45 min to get a car because only 1 employee was working. Lack of cars avaiable and had to wait for cars to show up. Poor planning. No one to clean the cars. Gas tank empty.

Poor attitude and customer service. Guy behind the counter does not care about the customers. Was running a bit behind and may have not made it on time. I called and the guy told me if I am not there by closing time sharp it will be another day charge. BTW, I am a corporate client.
