Rodger was great! Very nice and even went out his way to accommodate us. Very good customer service. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of Rodger. The guy with the glasses, assuming Carlos is his name by the other bad reviews, is not the best. I would have given him 2 stars. Avis should take a look at whose running their business and using their name. The reviews says it all.

Do not do business with this branch. Paid for a car turned in early refused to give refund or credit for unused days. Asked to just pick back up the car if refund or credit wasn’t going to be given back… said no the contract was closed and said good luck. This is what I believe an independent branch and the level of service and trust should scare away anyone from doing business with this owner.

Use this place as a last resort if no other locations are available. This place is small and short staffed with limited cars. If you must come here out of desperation, make sure u take picture of EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING from the time you purchase the rental until drop off time. Make sure to clean the car to your best ability, put the gas exactly where you found it and take pictures plus, if you think you’re going to stay out longer, add those days in at the counter instead of later so you won’t get charged extra on top of your rate. With that being said, just be careful because they will try to throw in extra charges and you will have to dispute it with your bank. Only reason I’m giving them stars is because the car I wanted was there. Safe travels everyone.

I don’t even know where to start. I had a reservation for 1:30 and when arriving Carlos was not there and there was a sign that said he would be back at 1:45. He finally arrived at 2 with his lunch bag in hand. I reserved a Chevy Tahoe and he processed the transaction and handed me the keys and paperwork. I asked if we were going to walk the car for damage and he replied he already walked it over and there was just one scratch on the bumper. He pulled out a pad with the diagram of the car and circled the bumper and then asked me to sign it. I said sorry but I’m walking the car first. I found more than just a scratch the whole left side of the bumper was black where the paint was missing and the bottom of the ground effects was the same. Someone ran into something clearly. When I got back I pointed out the dent and said that the bumper was more than a scratch and then he began to argue it was a little scratch. I said listen discount the rental or let me swap it out for another one when you get it. He offered me $25.00 off. I had to laugh! I said make it $50.00 and I will take it just to be done with this guy. He said $35.00 and I said no way. I can drive to the airport and get it for half the price and he could care less. I guess he thought he can get someone to rent it and not check it out first and then he can stick them with the damage. I have never dealt with such a poor business in my life. Absolute pathetic and I will never waste my time with Avis again. My family and I used them for years and never again! I can only say Carlos is living up to his reputation...not to mention when he cancelled the transaction the $600.00 was already taken out of my account and he said it takes 24 hours to get it back. This guy is a clown!!!

Do not rent here. The owner Carlos is rude and had a nasty attitude. You never receive the car you reserve and they will downgrade your car class if they dont have what you reserved or tell you to go somewhere else. 2 cars grey dodge journey and black jeep compass has bugs( roaches to be exact) and when mentioned to Carlos he didnt say a word or offer another car! Do not rent here!! They are nasty!

Carlos is very rude. I was waiting for 30Minutes before I had to get someone from the hotel to go find him. Then didn’t believe I had a credit card. Tried to get my social to run my credit for using my debt card. Which I’ve never had to do with Avis. Very disappointed in this location

Customers usually get upset when they get declined due to lack of credentials. Customer take it on employees, when they are only following company rules and regulations. please read rules and regulations before attempting to rent a vehicle. Customers must be 25 years old. With major credit cards. Debit cards are not credit cards and customers are subject to additional credit checks. Must have good credit to rent with a debit card. Additional deposits are required on prepaid reservations.

If I could give this Avis Rental Car location a triple negative rating and not one star I would. Carlos Castillo definitely lives up to every last comment that this Google Review has on the negative comments. Carlos Castillos Business card states Independent Operator C.J. Castillo Corp. so I guess it is safe to say he does not have to provide any type of customer service. This was the worst rental experience that I have had and I rent often from Avis. I feel as though Carlos stereotyped my son and I. Carlos Castillo treated us as if we did not have money or means to rent a car. Not to mention when we provided the means to rent a car (Credit Card, USAA discount for underage drivers) Carlos provided us with a car that was not cleaned and no gas and to top that off, the rental car had noticeable damages on the car that Carlos Castillo did not mark off until we brought this to his attention, (and he still brushed us off as though we were a bother). Once we informed Carlos Castillo of the damages he sent his worker to mark it and told us it would not be a problem. Carlos Castillo is not friendly, and displays poor customer service. I am not sure what his issue is; but, we we waited almost an hour because of the system down and Carlos did not apologize for the inconvenience plus, we had appointments we had to make. Carlos had the phone on speaker when he was contacting someone to assist him with trouble shooting his system the lady advised him that he could still rent the car manually, so after waiting for almost an hour Carlos still had to rent the car manually, which he was acting as though it was a problem and something was wrong with my son and I, I repeated several times to Carlos Castillo what is your problem? My son and I rent from Avis/Budget often, we have never been treated this way or had any issues why are you treating us so disrespectfully? This is one of the worse customer service experience that I have had. PLEASE future renters, PLEASE read all the negative reviews surrounding this Avis location, they are 100% similar to each other & ACCURATE.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Do NOT bother with this guy!I’m not surprised to see these negative reviews about Carlos. We booked online and went to pick up vehicle. He laughed at my husband when my husband showed him the reservation and said that “didn’t apply” to this location (um, ok?). I paid $90 to guarantee reserve vehicle. He couldn’t even tell me if I would get my money back and told me that it meant nothing to him.I didn’t have my credit card on me and he told me I couldn’t rent there without it. That would have been understandable had Avis had something about this on their site. I wouldn’t have been so upset had he not talked to us like we were total idiots and even lifted a finger to help us find another solution or maybe another rental place. No, he actually smiled and laughed at me when I was distressed and walked away and made rude impatient noises as I was searching for my credit card which I left at home.He asked me for my phone number as well and as I’m from Philly, my area code is 267. He said, very loudly and nastily, “no, I asked you for your phone number.” I replied that that WAS my number and he rolled his eyes.I have to say he is probably in the top two most unprofessional, unpleasant and nasty people I have ever encountered in customer service in my 30+ years of life. That’s saying something because I have worked in customer service!He is an incompetent, rude and angry little man. I don’t know what his issue is but he is very needlessly condescending and mean. He was very cruel to the woman behind me as well when she asked him for help with her rental as the car wouldn’t even start!My husband and I went to an Avis in Orlando. They also said many people have issues with this guy and he’s a contractor. When I called him to ask his name, he hung up on me. I won’t be stopping here...I’m going to follow up with Avis and make sure something is done. The way he treats people is totally unacceptable. I can assure you, I maintained my cool and was still treated like day old garbage.When I went to new Avis, we had no problem renting!

Please re-train your employee and maybe you should do a soft credit check as well. Clearly, they are letting their emotions speak for themselves instead of being calm and collected when explaining a situation. Most of your employees need to re-read your hand out or your policy. When you ask a question regarding these issues and you get an aggressive sales man on the phone get all defensive makes me worry, and wonder if you did chose the right person to take the lead or are they just plain, STUPID!????

Lowest price for the vehicle we wanted to rent. The rental experience was excellent except the person working when I returned it was quite rude..... but stuff happens. This was over 6 months ago. For the price and vehicle quality, I would use them again.

A few months ago now. But lady was pretty unfriendly. She was laughing away at the people before me, when she got to me her smile went away and got a very straight-forward tone with me. I looked all around the desk prior, even at the entrance to the hotel, there are signs of where to park rental cars that being returned. She informed me that I need to move my car closer (hey, no problem) and said we close in 5 min [youd better hurry]After all it was said and done, I said thank you and just got an ignoring look away. I didnt spent several hundred to be treated rudely.

Worst customer service ever! Carlos is lazy and has no intentions of helping customers! He looked at me dead in my face and said they do not do insurance return claims, but when I called the corporate office and they said that is not true and he should’ve processed it! He was closing and I believe he didn’t not want to go through the process of the claims reservation. I’ve reported him to corporate and will be reviewing with ZERO stars on every platform!

Worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Spent 10 minutes during pickup telling the sales rep I didn’t want to upgrade for the clerk to then brush me off, he didn’t even walk outside to check the vehicle for damages even though there was a major scratch to the front of the vehicle and it was not clean inside. When I went to return I was told they forgot to put the pre-paid fuel option on and the clerk ended up charging 70+ for gas for an error they made. Don’t waste your time here looking for a deal, the customer service is worth paying a little more at enterprise or hertz.

This was the worst experience Ive ever had renting a car. Carlos Castillo was the most disrespectful business person Ive ever encountered! He is a contractor and doesnt even work for Avis! Please call Enterprise if you need to rent a car. Oh, by the way when you call Customer Service on the Avis Web Site no one answers the phone. The 24-hour customer service number on the door of the store is Carlos number!

The employee was incompetent. I called to confirm 45 min prior to arriving; however, cars were not checked in, they were dirty, and the employee talked about unrelated things in a constant mumble. To get her moving, I finally asked, “Don’t you need my license or something?” She told us that the cars weren’t clean, but she said, “It’s fine right?” We were the only ones in there, and it took us 55 minutes to finally get a car. She became hurt and upset and refused any compensation when we finally complained about the plethora of problems. She might’ve been on drugs or mentally ill.

I was looking for cars to rent a few months back and also today. This is one of the closer places to my home and clicked on avis and saw the review about this Carlos guy. Then I remember I had visited this store the couple months back where I had the same experience. That guy is full blown douche. Im not sure what his little mans problem is but he definitely has some little issues. You dont need to be so small minded and pea brained with people, no need to be so short with them. Im just sayin Carlos maybe you shouldnt be so mad, kiddo. You made the choice to be an adult renting out cars to people, the least you can do is not look like youre going to simultaneously cry and throw a temper tantrum because somebody wants to drive away from a place the way you cant leave your job, Carlos. Lets get it together, Carlos.

I usually do not ever leave reviews, but after this visit I was inclined to do so. I made a reservation online to rent a vehicle and when I went to go pick it up, the representative at the counter (whose name is Carlos Castillo) informed me that there was no reservation and there was no car for me. When I tried to make another reservation he was not helpful and treated me like dirt. He kicked me out of the store and told me to go somewhere else, when all that I wanted to do was to make another reservation. He was rude and impolite and it was unnecessary behavior. Luckily, I was able to rent a car from the Embassy Suites not too far from here, in which they were very helpful and let me know that A LOT of customers that come to them have the same experience with Carlos at Avis. Needless to say I will NEVER be going back to this location and I will share my experience with everyone.

Okay so I use Carlos help to rent cars for at least 10 years at this location, and since he was always very professional and few times went out of his way to get me a decent car for my vacation (down to a freakin exterior color), I was surprised to see negative reviews for him.As I was renting the car today I asked him about this. He remembers both negative reviewers very well. First one showed up with the empty tank and per terms and condition you have to return it full because why the heck should they pay for your gas? So since he didnt read the terms he was charged for gas. Perhaps read the terms before you accept service? And Avis is still very cool about gas returns -- with Dollar for example you need to show a receipt with gas station zip code MAX 10 miles from where you rented the car from.Another guy Carlos admit he threw him out. The guy was angry that his drivers license got suspended and wasnt able to rent a car. Then he started screaming and being violent in front of the counter. If that would be at my establishment I would call the police! I think he was lucky that Carlos just asked him to leave.. but gee I guess by accident he forgot to mention all this in his online review.You know, this is a larger problem actually. We live in this american-cupcake society, where under-educated over-privileged spoiled individuals are allowed to say online whatever they feel like. Its fine that you have the 1st Amendment right to do so, but its uncool when your half-true negative review actually hurts the business, thats unfair. I hope eventually more and more people online will be sued for their false statements and internet will get better at online reviews overall.

The worst experience Ive ever had with a car rental first he wasnt even there when I went to go rent a car the sign said well be back and 20 minutes a hour later finally came back want to go drop off the car and guess what wasnt there again so I had to wait 45 minutes then tried to say I had a scratch on the car was trying to get more money off of me luckily I had the insurance plan saying theI would not recommend anyone to come here if I could Id give it a 0 stars and tear the place down
