I came in to the shop at the last hour on a Saturday evening with a flat tire and no hope. I was pleasantly surprised when the manager cheerfully said that he could Mount and balance a tire for me even though he was completely booked! He made room for my car then completed the job himself! Im impressed! Give this guy a raise! Thank you pep boys forest city!

I got there right before they closed in a panic because I had a flat tire and everywhere else was pretty much closed...Manny calmed my worry and assured me they could help! They were so nice and helpful and did an excellent job on my tire! I went to Pep Boys on Labor Day because I had a flat tire. Was ready to purchase a new tire because the manager said I had a nail in an area that could not be fixed. He did not carry the type of tire I wanted. The manager on duty was wonderful in putting on my spare tire so I could drive home and get an appointment at the dealership to get a tire. Kudos to the manger of Pep Boys in Altamonte Springs!

Phil was so generous to service my car on a Sunday after another location canceled last minute. He made sure that I was aware of all deals and even helped me apply for the Pep Boys credit card! I’m so thankful for Phil as my car was not safe to be on the road for another day.

I have a complaint about the billing. I had a wheel alignment performed and the service was quick and the work was done right. However I was to pay $119 plus tax. When I was given the bill it was $119 plus tax + a Shop Supply fee. I asked what is this $11.95 fee. I was told I paid for supplies consumed during the work on my car. So Iasked what did a wheel alignment consume in terms of supplies and I was told a towel and oil to lubricate the alignment. Really? This is a horrible bussiness practice. I bought a used car a few days ago. A couple issues are concerning me including a.c. malfunctioning and possibly needing a new battery, etc. A friend of mine recommended I take it to a Pep Boys, and told me to ask for the 120 point inspection. I checked online and saw they had a deal going on for it, and I was able to book an appointment at 11 a.m. same day. Score!Upon arriving to this location around 10:45, I waited for the gentleman to come into the lobby. Didnt so much as recieve a hello, or even a look in my direction. Instead, he called a different person over who he was working with, totally fine with me but at least say hi to the new customer that just arrived. Waited until they were done, then some hesitation, then he finally turned to me and asked what Im here for today, still no hello. I told him I was here for my 11 a.m. scheduled 120 point inspection.Without any sympathy, he immediately told me theres a long wait, asked if Id be leaving the vehicle. I said no, because I had no other ride and pretty much had today to get this done. He then let me know that the computer will schedule 6 different appointments in the same half hour, no matter the service. As if I am supposed to know and that I shouldnt have picked the available appointment time...? He said I could be looking at 4, possibly 5 hours of waiting. Obviously long, but I told him definitely need this done so I dont mind.This disappointed him clearly, and he went on to ask what I think is wrong with the car. I expressed a couple concerns over the air and the battery, to which he responded that what I need is diagnostic work done and not an inspection. I told him the inspection online states that they do thoroughly look into the a.c. but apparently according to him, even without him looking at my vehicle, he already knew that the inspection wouldnt help me and that Id need diagnostics done. After then telling me he only has one guy that does that, who conveniently wasnt there today, and then started asking what future day would work, I left. I regret not getting his name, but that one experience speaks loudly enough for me and I will not be returning.

I went to pep boys last year and thought i had a good experience, but when i went again yesterday i KNOW i had a great experience. Phil was so helpful and nice last time and this time both Phil & Minette were amazing. They were extremely honest and thorough. Going to car places i always feel like I’m trying to be sold on replacing certain things and i do not feel that way with them . They are truly amazing and actually care about helping their customers out . I will continue to go back to them for forever . Thank you guys so much !!!

I was having some AC issues so I scheduled an appointment for it to get checked out at the Altamonte Springs location. I dropped it off first thing in the morning for service. Phillip called me back a couple hours later with the diagnosis of the problem and kindly emailed the detailed issues for my review. He later called back to check and see if I had made a decision. He was very patient with my questions and informative with his explanations. When I discussed the issue of affording the necessary repairs Phillip assured me he would speak with his manager and see if there was anything he could do to help me out. Thanks to the generosity of Phillip and his colleagues he got back to me with a quote I could afford for the repairs. Ive been receiving services from this location for a while and dont see that changing anytime soon. I highly recommend this location because the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable technicians.

I spent $160 for tire alignment and they didn’t fix it. When I ask the employee, and he said he did test drive and it’s good. What a liar.Avoid this pep boy.

Iv been going to this Pepboys location for years, and serviced 3 separate vehicles countless times with them. After this expends, I will not be stepping foot into this, or any other pepboys ever again. I had an appointment on Thursday june 24, 2021 at 9:30 AM. I arrived there at 9:15. I spent over 2.5 hours waiting for an oil change and a tire rotation. During these two hours, they accepted at least 3 other walk ins, without appointments. All 3 had their issues fixed and left while I was still waiting for basic service to my vehicle. After 2.5 hours of waiting, Philip, the pep boys employee, comes to tell me that the tier rotation “can’t be completed” due to an “issue with my tires”. He gave me a long list of “repairs” that need to be done to my vehicle, which would cost a whopping $2791!I waited 2.5 hours for an oil change, and List of “needed repairs”, while others walked in without appointments and left. A few days later I took my vehicle to another repair shop, looking to get a tire rotation done and showed them the list of “ needed repairs” that Philip from pep boys gave me. They inspected the car and after about 45 minutes, he came back telling me that he was able to complete the tire rotation without any issues. The most interesting part was that he looked over all of the “needed repairs” and after seeing my car, he told me that not a single one of those items is needed, just a few were recommended, and that the entire list of repairs wouldn’t cost more than $600. Big difference from $2800. So pep boys, took 2.5 hours to change my oil, and come up with a long list of unnecessary repairs and astronomically high prices. Iv been going to this Pepboys location for years, and serviced 3 separate vehicles countless times with them. After this expends, I will not be stepping foot into this, or any other pepboys ever again.

I have gone to this Pep Boys a few times for service. They are usually busy, but they get my truck in and done pretty quickly. The mechanics are very thorough, they check my truck over and the people up front go over everything they find. Curt, the Service manager, is very polite and professional, and Minette and Phil are very friendly and helpful. I am happy with the service I get at this location.

I would like to express my gratitude to the manager who worked with his mechanics to get my vehicle serviced in a timely manner. I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment for a free tire rotation they offer. He was pleasant and to the point that they were still working on appointments from 2 hours ago not by any fault of their own. Those vehicles just had a lot of work needed to be done on them. I think all the bays were occupied when I arrived. He said he couldnt guarantee me an exact time which I understood that car repairs are not always as straightforward as one would think, but would try to get my car serviced within the time I could wait. And so he did and I was a happy customer. I believe his name was Kurt, but not sure... 🙂

I had an appointment set up and when I arrived was pretty much told that they were over booked for appointments and the other people were more important. I had ordered the tires I needed on Amazon and had them delivered there so everything should have been convenient. Instead I was left to wait for about an hour before I decided to take my tires and leave. Hopefully amazon will refund the fee that pep boys should have gotten for the tires. Over all everyone was rude and I would not recommend this location! I actually took the tires and went down the road to a better pep boys also in Altamonte.

Been going to pep boys for my car maintenance for years, but will not be going back after this experience. I would say avoid this location in particular if you can help it unless you just need your battery checked.My car did not start one day, so i got it jumped, it started up and took it directly to this pep boys because I have a battery on warranty with them. I told them what happened and paid for diagnostics on starter, alternator and battery. They tell me later the did not find anything wrong, even though it had not cranked just a few hours before. It was able to start and I drove it home. Over the next few days the car is cranking slower and slower and Im getting worried, so i take it back in about a week later. I specifically ask them to figure out why its cranking slow. They call me later that day saying car is done, and battery is fine. I said I didnt ask for a battery check, I asked about finding whats causing the car to crank slow, did the mechanic notice it? They say yes he did notice it and its not a problem, also the battery is fine. They offered to charge me again for diagnostics on starter and alternator, but I declined because I was just in there a week before for the exact same check and was told nothing is wrong there either. So that was it, nothing can be done, they basically stonewalled me because according to their tech there is no problem. Graciously they did not charge me for this inspection.Well literally the next day my car breaks down in the middle of the day. Exactly what I feared would happen. I had to get a tow and spend the day getting my car fixed (not by pep boys). Turns out the starter was bad, it took this mechanic less than 5 minutes to determine this and said it was suspect after a visual inspection because it was covered in oil from an oil leak. I dont know what the heck they are doing at pep boys but they were really dismissive of my concerns and made no effort to really help me. If their mechanic cant tell a car has a problem the day before it breaks down, do they really have any business fixing cars?

Outstanding service, I took my Jeep Wrangler in for a vibration issue at 65mph after FIELDS Jeep in Sanford screwed up my tire rotation.PEP BOYS was not entirely sure they knew what the problem was, so they reversed the rotation and did not charge me.It absolutely resolved the issue and they recommended further service for other issues which I will absolutely come back for in the near future.100% recommended!

Pep Boys is advertised on tirerack as an installer. You have the tires shipped there, they install them. I had tires shipped to tirerack for an installation. After showing up for the appointment, they could not locate the tires. After a considerable delay they were finally able to locate the tires, but refused to install them. Their excuse was that they dont do 2 tire installs on AWD vehicles. I was going through the glove box receipts for the vehicle and guess what I found? A receipt for a 2 tire install done by pep boys at that same location. Interesting. So much for honesty. If you dont want my business tell me up front. Please dont waste my time.

Visited this location as I had a simple tire patch, nail in middle of the tread, without even looking at the tire that needed repair, they insisted I needed 4 new tires and due to the other 3 tires they concluded they could not patch my tire.... again, never looking at the tire. They just kept telling me tire prices and that there was a sale for buy 3 tires get the 4th free.... Took my tire to action gator and they patched it for free in 15 min. No honesty and just trying to get sales! Be cautious!

Okay so I took my car here for a tune-up and shocks, and a front end alignment, car was idling rough so I asked them to diagnose it and tell me what the problem was. I came back the next day after they called me they told me the car is ready. I cant even get it out of the parking lot it wont even run. I informed them of this and they act like they dont even care they say they will look at it, not fix it, not fix my car that they broke look at it I come back the next day still the same problem. I put it in gear the car stalls out I go to discuss the situation with them some more. I go home I called the general area manager talk to the administrative assistant they open a case File. I go back to next day finally my car is running and they tell me they did not do any Diagnostics on the car at all they only change the spark plugs and oil and the shocks apparently while doing the work they had knocked off the oxygen sensor that was the problem, also when I did get the car out on the road it would appear no alignment was done at all the car was just as shaky as it was before, I know they did not test drive it because theres no way they could have drove it out of the parking lot. I informed them I would like them to contact the area manager and have that person give me a call as I am not satisfied with the service they have given me and it took me three days to get my car out of the shop I had to take it to another shop to have everything double-checked just ensure there was nothing else wrong and here is the icing on the top of the irony cake the other mechanic inform me the only problem I had was bad gas in the tank the other shop fixed it and now its running beautifully Im still waiting for the area manager from Pep Boys to call me they have my number I guess they just dont care about customer service. Robert B Cole update its been a week now since Ive been contacted by Pep Boys somebody did call me back 15 minutes after I posted this and told me somebody would be calling me its been a week now and no one has still called me apparently the lack of concern over customer service runs very deep with this company. As a customer who spent thousands and thousands of dollars with this company I dont think I have to be the One chasing down satisfaction. Update I had the car worked on the problem was The coils it had 2 bad coils Apparently your cracker Jack mechanics could not determine thisOnce I had them replaced the car runs like a switch watch now thanks for nothing.

Had a blowout on I4 on a Sunday, threw on a spare and raced over to Pep Boys before they closed at 5pm. Got there at about 5:10pm. Gentleman at the front desk very friendly and understanding and so was the tech who worked on my vehicle. Great work a very positive experience all around! True professionals.

Very bad service had to wait a month after my tires were put on and tire sensors never went off! Mgr try to say wasnt there problem but, never had a mechanical issue with my car. long story short I had to wait a whole month for them to put brand new sensors on my car

The gentleman who works at counter there was very nice and trying to explain to me what my part actually done. Then when he told me about what it would be and he would have to find it I was looking for it to be there about a day. Had to take it back the next day for an adjustment but that was okay it just made it run a lot more better than it did! Everyone was very polite my part was guaranteed my labor was guaranteed I cant say much more than I appreciate their help I like this particular Pep Boys better than the other one on 436

Absolutely horrible. I selected this place as a service provider after I purchased two tires on amazon. When I got to the location for my appointment they told me that it is gonna take 2-3 hours before they get to my car even though I made an appointment. While waiting the employees were being rude and talking about my car and order. I was so upset I told them to give me my tires I already purchased and left. Absolute unbelievable.

I stood in the office for 10 mins before the manager decided to make and his way over to me, I asked about price and time on an oil change and rear brakes. I basically got all the reasons why he couldn’t do it today even tho there’s 3 open bays at the moment. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The manager doesn’t seem interested in helping customers at all.

I have been taking my vehicles here for 2 years for everything from routine maintenance to full repairs. The customer service has always been excellent and the prices are always good. They are honest and tell you what needs to be done and what you may have potentially coming up in the future. The General Manager Stuart and his Service Manager Eric are always friendly and communicate very well what the charges will be and how long it will take them to have your vehicle returned to you. Really bad service. Immediately after leaving the hospital after 3 day stay & surgery, I found my windshield wipers werent working. Since it was raining I stopped at the first place I could find to have them replaced. I told the clerk at the counter my situation, & that I needed to get home ASAP, & they promised me theyd get to it right away. After an hour of waiting I realized my car had not moved and they had done nothing to get this small job completed despite my situation. But they made no effort to expedite the job or to inform me that there would be a long delay. At that time I I told them that I did not want to wait any longer & left. They offered no apology, just saying they were short handed. They could have told me that when I arrived so I could have gone elsewhere. I ended up driving home in the rain w no wipers. I would not recommend using this pep boys location.for the record the next day I went to Advanced Auto Parts and had the wipers changed in 15 minutes I would recommend using Advanced Auto Parts.

I’ve used this location over the years on different vehicles; anything from oil changes, general maintenance and tires. Sure, you might save a dollar or so running around looking at other businesses but these guys have always been very friendly, upfront and no high pressure up-sell tactics. They even let you know to call to make an appointment as the website can triple book and make you wait around.

Came here a few weeks ago to replace my AC Condenser and Brake Pads with Rotors. Andrew really helped me out by giving me an affordable price and Peter really did a good job with it. Everything seems to be running fine and Ill be back here for sure when I have any automotive repairs that need to be done!

This is far most the best experience I ever had. I called weeks before even taking my car there not one time they sounded bothered. Dealing with Quaison B was amazing not one time I felt bad customer service he really went above and beyond, I really appreciate. If you’re undecided or need questions answer call and ask for Quaison!

Ive had my last three oil changes at this place and never had any issues until today 1/31/2020. I was the only one in the whole store for an 8:00 a.m. appointment and it took them an hour and a half to doing simple oil change. A salesman that I have never seen before told me that they recommend getting my rear brakes replaced ASAP and gave me a quote for approximately $840 to replace my brake pads and rotors.. He even went as far as telling me I only had a week left on my brakes as he claimed the brake material was low as a fear tactic to make a sale if guess.. my vehicle is a 2017 Chevy truck with 55,000 on it and if my brakes were that low, I would have felt and heard them..I just said eh ok and walked out. I went directly to another tire shop right down the street and had them do the free brake inspection.. as soon as I got there and told them the problem the salesman looked at me and laughed and said I cant even see your brakes but Im pretty sure you dont need them because Chevys parts are great quality.. they did the free break inspection and both salesmen and the store told me I didnt need brakes whatsoever!! Pep boys are scam artists at this particular location!!

Took 5 hours to install 4 tires and a oil change with an appointment.

Paid for my services (somewhat pricey) and returned to my vehicle only to find my mats soiled with dirt and grease from the mechanics boots. I went right back inside and brought it to the the attendants attention. He followed me outside viewed the condition of mats and merely said sorry about that. I asked him to provide a vacuum or some clean products to address it. He looked at me with a blank stare and told they don’t do cleaning here. It is unacceptable for you to take your car in clean and leave with it dirty. I was highly disappointed in the customer service.On the brighter side, the store manger Matt reached out to me a couple days later and apologized for the inconvenience. He was very sincere in his apology and offered to make things right. Thanks!!

The people here are always so friendly and are willing to help. The prices are fair as well! I could not be anymore thankful for them! My seat was malfunctioning and they took the time to help me, and were happy to do so. If you ever have any questions, the manager Nick will be as honest as possible when assisting you.

Ive gave this location a better review last year , but my last visit was frustrating. I made appt online and told them I needed a new tire Ive bought tires there before. I came in for appointment and waited 1 hour before being told they didnt have my tire.I had to come in again the next day.

Nice people. Did exactly what I asked for but wish they had asked me about tire sensor the car was complaining about. I forgot and it would have been cheaper to replace during the same time as the tire was being replaced. If you drive anywhere near I4 do the road hazard warranty!

The customer service at this location needs improvement. These guys are very dry and it seems like they feel we need them. You are wrong! I noticed the bad attitude so I left and went down the road for service.

Wow! Just when I was about to never return back to another Pep Boys after the horrible customer service I received from the other Altamonte Springs location (Which I also Reviewed). This location was a complete 180 experience from that horrible altamonte springs location by the sunrail station! Phillip the service sales/customer service rep at this location was wonderful! Very easy going and a pleasure to speak with. He had no issues helping me out with an error I made when scheduling my appointment! He fixed the issue and recommended other services which were available if I wanted to do them that day (I chose a wheel alignment & Road hazard protection). The work was done in a very short amount of time maybe about 2 hrs for 4 tire installs and a alignment! After phillip made sure to tell me about an app he utilizes to scan paper documents into his phone and explained in detailed the rewards program and services performed. Phillip has restored my faith back with pep boys. He is knowledgeable, outgoing, friendly and compassionate. This will be my go to location for Pep Boys!

Stopped in this morning due to my bad battery and was greeted by Matt who quickly checked my battery and confirmed that it was bad and had it changed within 30min. Awesome customer service. Will definitely be going back for more service when needed for my cars.

The manager Kirk tried to turn me away at 6:30 on a Thursday night when I pulled up with a flat. He said a patch would take 45 mins and asked me to leave my car overnight. I refused because it was still 30 mins before they closed and it was only a flat. All this he decided from the comfort of his corner stool at the desk where he didn’t move from. He then said he could not work on it because they can not work on tires over 20’(my tire is 22’) so I feel for everyone with big trucks this place cannot help. Once the tech looked an realized the tire had a gash and needed to be replaced he then tried to charge me $287 for one tire. I’ve had this car for 8 years and have never paid more then $150 for 1 tire he again claimed that’s the only tire in his catalog and there is nothing less expensive (from his comfy stool in the corner, away from the computer) he cashier became rude as well just as he was but pulled up over 5 tires less expensive but still more then normal I asked what are you adding please take it off he said we aren’t adding anything (from his stool) but the cashier then removed the company road hazard protection that I did not ask for then the price dropped again. At that point I was just upset and needed to get my car back on the road so I just paid what was owed which I noticed they charge $50 to even service the tire but whatever. Iam a member of whatever pep boys member club and they could care less so I’m not sure if that’s just how they do things I asked for his direct managers name and contact he gave me one name an no last name til I pushed for it so I’m hoping Bobby Burnet will help because now I notice they completely scratched the paint on the rim. And yes I only know because I just had the car completely repainted 2 weeks prior to taking my car there and only the tire they worked on has any scratches at all and there is a deep gash in it. So BUYER BE WARE! VERY POORLY MANAGED!Pleas help

When I made an appointment to have a new tire put on my car, I asked for a Cooper tire. The guy said he had a tire of a different name thats made by Cooper and hed reserve it for me. They ended up putting on a Cornell tire which is made by Bridgestone. I have no problem with that brand, but he clearly lied and told me what I wanted to hear.More annoying, the tire isnt a whitewall like the other tires on the car. I didnt even notice because I was distracted by some damaged paint that turned out not to be their fault (although I suspect they lied about it). Its not worth my time to go in and wait for a whitewall to be put on even if theyd do it for free, but its annoying. They probably knew very well that the tire didnt match, but they didnt ask me about it because they didnt want to risk loosing the sale. This may not be fraudulent, but its certainly dishonest.This may be average behavior for auto mechanics these days, but Im going to try another place next time my car needs service. At least the work was done correctly and in a reasonable amount of time.

Been taking the vehicle here for a while for service. Usually wait bit this time it was a drop off. Always received friendly service. Received a call a few hours later saying that it was all done. Even informed me of a few other potential problems the found but never pushed the sale on them. Highly recommend but dropoff is the way to go.

Honest place. Came in to have brakes and tires checked and they rotated my tires at no cost and said the brake pads dont need to be replaced for a few months. I will be back!!!!

Just had a bad experience there today. I went in at 1:00 for a schedule appointment to repair two tires that were losing air. After about 20 minutes the service manager tells me that my vehicle needs an alignment and that he would only charge me $50. 10 minutes later he comes back and tells me sorry wrong vehicle but you do need 2 new tires as we cant repair your old ones. He told me he could have the tires there in about an hour I said well me rather than wait I will get a taxi ride home and Ill be back at 5 to pick the vehicle up I came back at 5 my vehicle was out front with the old tires on it he never followed up with his supply store and the tires were never delivered. So I left very disappointed. I wasnt going to write a review over this until the following happened. I get home in about 20 minutes later the same service manager calls me and says that my tires are finally in would I like to come back tonight. I said no I had a very bad experience today and that I would think about tomorrow. He apologized and hung up 5 minutes later another service manager or service tech calls me to tell me that my vehicle is ready and I said really? What did you do to it? He said we put two new tires on it I said well thats very hard to believe seeing how I just left there and my vehicle is sitting in my driveway with the old Tires still on it. He put me on hold to go check it out and I thought to myself whats the point so I hung up. These guys do not have it together whatsoever :-( needless to say Im no longer thinking about going back there tomorrow Im done with Pep Boys.

Brought my Camry in for a brake job. 4 wheel brakes replaced. They didnt resurface the rotors properly. They stopped the resurface before finishing the entire rotor which is an issue with the front rotors because they are bigger. Random warping noise immediately the following day and subsequent days at different intervals sometimes after turns, sometimes just backing out of the driveway.Dont trust someone who screws with your car to fix their own pathetic work habits. I went to a mechanic who resurfaced them properly and did it right for $75 to fix their mistakes. Pep BOYS is right. Never again.
