Made a reservation for a trailer on a day off of work, got an order confirmation, and when I arrived to pick it up... No trailer available, and their solution was to drive an hour away to pick another one up. Not sure where in the process the ball was dropped, but this little maneuver set my move back two weeks.

I went there to rent a van. There was 4 people behind the counter and only 1 of them was helping customers. That is horrible customer service. But of course they didnt have what I needed.

Never answer the phone. Always get a national customer service center and no one at the Alexandria store ever returns your call. If not for the poor customer service they would have gotten a four.

Went in to obtain a storage bought the storage was told office would close at 5 and I needed a special lock. Went bought the lock and a few of my things and was back maybe 3:20. I unpacked all my things loaded them on the cart and proceed upstairs to my storage. I get to the storage and there is a lock already on it. I was already tired and hot from packing unpacking and walking upstairs to the storage. I made several attempts to call the front off both my personal phones and the call button for someone to answer no one ever did. After five minutes of calling I gave up left my items unattended and walked to the front hoping if I left my car no one would take my things. No employee is to be found I walk back to my car push my stuff on the cart to the door said forget it walked back to the front for a refund and explained the situation. They were okay with giving me a refund but I needed my debit card I walked back to my car packed all of my things drove to the front and was finally given a refund. I hated my experience. If someone buys a storage it’s UHauls place to make sure everything is ready for that person who’s spending money especially if they have to walk up a flight of stairs

The young man that received our trailer was awesome, professional and the best..Sioux city Iowa needs to come get lessons in how its done...cause they suck...

Wow! Uhaul has restored some of my faith in humanity! Excellent customer service! They helped me accomplish what I needed to do at a very low price! I will refer anyone!! Come one, come all!!!!

Dont rent from this place because the staff is rude and messes my bank account up. The bank had to put a lawsuit against them to get my money back.

Red Headed hitch lady was trully terrible. My reservation for today was at 1530. And i show up and she tells me tuesday... well i look on the website ans my order was said to be complete 4 days from now. Suspect business... be careful with what they tell you and what uhaul is reporting

I am thoroughly disappointed in U-haul. I made a reservation 2 days prior to my needing the truck. I got a call 1.5 hours before I was a supposed to pick up my truck stating that my 3 day reservation could not be honored due to overbooking. I would only be able to have the truck for 24 hours. I asked for corporates number. I spoke to someone named Dwight. He confirmed to me that my reservation had been confirmed before they put the 24 hour block on but he still could not honor my 72 hours. He repeatedly gave me the excuse that it was Memorial Day weekend and they were trying to help as many families as possible over the holiday. I explained to him that it didn’t help my family. The issue could’ve been resolved the day I made the reservation. That gave me a couple of hours to scramble and make a reservation with another company. Only if they would’ve taken responsibility for their incompetence!! But, I was given an excuse putting it off on “other families in need.” What about my family that already made the reservation? They messed up and ultimately I had to suffer for their incompetence. Thanks to Penske I will be able to have a truck for 72 hours. If you ever use uhaul be sure to call them and make sure you can have your reservation for the allotted time because you might be in a jam if you don’t.

Great service and information when planning a move to California. General Manager Dwight Farr and Desk Personnel Travis both gave me good advice on how to plan the trip to my advantage.

This Business seems extremely helpful when it comes to Rentals, but terrible when it comes to installing hitches. All work stops on a hitch install to ensure rental customers are helped. I had an appt. At 7:00 am, the general manager told me they estimate a 4 hour wait! Mine of which was explained to me on the phone. This Business had 2 people working on a saturday, the day most people move. I gave it 1 star because they are friendly and knowledgeable but the priority is not installations.

It had good stuff. Easy to get in and out. Pretty decent prices.

I rented a uhaul about a year and a half ago and the service was great. Went in today July 6th 2018 and two women working there were very UNHELPFUL we told them we needed a truck for the weekend they said they could only rent one for twenty four hours at a time which is not true because on the website it says you can reserve them for several days they asked what kind I wanted I sAid my name is in the computer can you look up and see what I rented last time she said they couldnt look it up when we asked if we brought a truck back in twenty four hours if we could rent it again they wouldnt answer and then suggested we try Budget rentals and said sorry about that their overall attitude was that they were lazy and even though no another customer was in there they were chatting among themselves and just in general did NOT even want to wait on us or help us at all. Have two witnesses my husband and nephew were with me and plan on making a complaint with The main company.

Very busy and hard to get the truck we needed. The manager was very accommodating which improved the experience. Truck was clean.

On Monday they had my 70 yr old mom scheduled for a hitch install at 2pm. At 530pm we called and the girl said its ready. Then guy calls back & apparently they hadnt touched it! Rescheduled for 10am wed & at 230pm shes still there.. bs. But they told us last time they had a nice office chair for her to sit in... REALLY???!!! My moms a diabetic too, so in order to eat she had to walk across traffic cause they couldnt help her... well it 545 and they just got it done. THUS PLACE IS A JOKE! At 4 they said it was done, but when she went to leave a guy stopped her and said they hadnt done it. OMG!! INEXCUSABLE! Geese...labor was knocked off the price but DAMN! What about the customers time, gas and then return gas, time and patience... Id give it NO stars but it wont let me. WISH I HAD THE OWNERS PHONE NUMBER!!! The girl at the front desk gave her 1800gouhaul when we ask for the owners number!!!!!

The only Uhaul I will use in a 100 mile radius. Fast, clean, courteous and quick. They are true professionals.

Moving stink. But they were always helpful with supplies even though I didnt get the truck from them. I had loaders who looked at what needed to be loaded and they walked away. Uhaul founder me help same day and ended up saving my move.

Extremely slow staff. Waited for half an hour. Called customer service twice; they said this location had RV storage. Called three other storage facilities who confirmed the same thing. Arrived on site and there’s no RV storage.
