Great staff, great apartments. Very happy to live here. Maintenance is very prompt, facilities are clean. Mail is safe. Packages are kept safe at the front desk and organized well for pick-up. Leasing staff are on-site, so paying rent is easy, as is communicating any issues.

I have 0 complaints about this property and management! Since day 1, all staff and residents have been kind, respectful, inviting, and friendly. There has never been a maintenance issue left unresolved or a request or complaint left unaddressed. The neighbors are all welcoming and kind. The spacious grounds are always kept clean, which is great for appearances and for the resident pets. Green space is a rarity in the area, and we have an abundance on the property grounds. The building is kept secure which bolsters confidence in safety. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

This is a very comfortable and enjoyable place to live. Highlights have been how friendly and responsive all the staff are all the time, and how incredibly thick the walls are. This is really nice because so many people have dogs. I rarely hear them or any neighbors, and I can movies and music at pretty decent volumes without worry about disturbing my neighbors. On the subject of dogs, the pet scene is bopping. So many good dogs in the dog park. So many cute cats in peoples windows. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

I moved in during July 2020 and living here has been a really pleasant experience! Its super close to the metro, the gym is pretty nice, and its surprisingly quiet in the building, aside from construction happening on neighboring lots (even that wasnt too bad). Only maintenance issue we ever had was with a leak in one of the apartments above us. We didnt even call maintenance, they were already at our door an hour after we noticed the leak! The sunrooms are a really beautiful feature, good size apartments, great staff, all-around a really lovely place to live! Oh! And Ive never once seen any bugs in our apartment in the year that weve been here. HUGE selling point for me!!

I considered renting here because of the proximity to the Metro and the in-unit washer and dryer. Due to Covid, I was not able to see the apartment in person; the office staff were amazingly accommodating with providing virtual tours, answering questions, and walking me through the rental process. When I arrived in August of 2020, the building, staff, amenities, and apartment were more impressive than I had imagined. The studio apartment has plenty of room and the sun porch provides plenty of light. Also, the maintenance staff have been very attentive, professional, and friendly. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

This Meridian offers an amazing value for the price. Great location next to the Metro and near Old Town Alexandria, well-kept public areas (gym, pool, dog park, clubroom, outdoor fire pit and lounge), unique floor plans with sun rooms, personable staff members, and an efficient maintenance team. The building is well-made with thick walls and carpeting, so sound does not transfer easily, and I have not had any issues with pests. After four months of residency, I havent experienced a single downside - thank you, Meridian team!

My 2 year lease is almost up and Im sad to be leaving. The staff is amazing, the 2 bed 2 bath I stayed in was extremely spacious for the price in this area, being close to the metro made for a lot of adventures. Pool, rooftop and gym are beautiful and well maintained. The apartment was always quiet despite having neighbors on every wall. I felt safe and relaxed every tumescent I came home.

In the beginning maintence was good, but twice Ive been told that I couldnt have my maintenance request honored - and this was because the office hours were closed, however in both cases I was hoping they could resolve it. One of the requests I couldnt use my bathroom and I had called about this before the office closed and nothing was done, so after waiting - when I called right after it closed, they said they still couldnt do anything. Im hoping that for future requests they can try to be quicker so I dont have to wait to call back when the office has already closed.

I am living here for almost 7 months, was living in Springfield station apartments before for 3 years. I like my old place much more than this. I live with my husband and pay $1785 for one bedroom with sunroom, and Sun room was the worst idea I found, it’s very hot in summer very cold in winter, so it’s useless and you should keep the blinds closed always, we thought it could be great office for both of us but it’s ended to be a storage! The apartment is smaller Han I thought, but you know it’s ok, but let me tell you about bells: water average $65! Av for electricity is $65 and for gas $70 . The first time I saw the swimming pool I was happy cause it’s on the rooftop but it’s the worst I’ve experienced, Very small pool and the area around is just nothing. Many times while I or my husband was taking shower the water became cold we called the emergency many times to fix it and the last time we issued it as problem and then when the maintenance guy came he said “if you want hot water you should lower or off the heating, this is an old system here and they are connected so it can’t heat the air and water at the same time”. About parking, it’s free on the street but to park in the one special for the building you should pay. I really wanted to leave this since the third month but we signed a lease for 12 months so we if we want to leave we have to pay 2 months rent. At the end of the day I don’t recommend this to any one to live in. search more out before deciding to waste your money here, we worked hard man not for this!

I just moved into this complex. It seems to have the best price for the area along with the most space/convenience since it is right next to the metro. I am renting a one bedroom for a little over 1400 base rent. I love Mona (the leasing manager), and the other employees were super helpful. I think overall it is a great place, but I would suggest moving into the newer building. I have been having some general problems with the older building as far as water heating, and toilet flushing. All small stuff, and the management has worked really hard to get it fixed, but I think it might have to do with the building just being old. Overall I would recommend it!

If you are a millennial like me, you probably use Amazon a lot to save lots of time going to grocery stores at what not.I have so far lost two packages since moving here. The front desks receive all package on your behalf, but they have a TERRIBLE system.First of all, the system doesnt even take down the full tracking number the package had, so when they lost my package, I didnt even have a tracking number to tell the carrier.Second, these people are too busy defending themselves more than trying to figure out where the lost package went. They didnt even apologize.SMH...We also had fly issues in my APT. My wife is super clean, so no, it wasnt us being unusually clean.Fly problem is one thing, but they called the bug squad. They called to ask permission to enter the premises, and I specifically told them which area of the APT had the issue. The flies were coming out from the fluorescent light casing above the kitchen. I taped the gaps so no more flies would fly out of the casing. When I came back home that day, I found the tape still there and saw shadows of the flies corpses still on the light. When I called them, they were oblivious to everything and said they would have someone come back out again that week. That was two to three weeks ago...I usually like Meridian Properties, but this wasnt one I was impressed by. Save yourself some trouble, and find better apartments nearby or move closer to the old town.

Pros:The Metro is less than a thousand feet away. It is absolutely wonderful to be able to walk such a short distance to take Metro to work, to the mall, and to run errands. Some people have posted reviews about the noise, but I have never noticed it unless the windows are open and I still don’t think it’s very loud. The station isn’t a very busy one so it’s not hard to catch a train before they become crowded. The area is being redeveloped and has some good amenities. There is a post office and a park just two blocks away. Lost Dog Cafe, Mason Social, and Lena’s all offer different food and are all short walks away. Old town is 7 blocks, which I’ve walked several times before. It took me about 10 minutes. There’s a McDonald’s, 7-11, Sugar Shack Donuts, and Liberty Gas station within walking distance as well. Harris Teeter is also just four bIocks away. I walk my dog all around at all hours and always feel safe. I’ve walked her at 2AM before and never felt that there was an issue. I’ve seen a few comment on the safety issue, but I’ve never had a problem. The apartments are decent and can be cute. The underground parking is a savior in the winter and when it’s raining. The Harris Teeter that’s 4 blocks away also has underground parking so you never have to be outside when going to the grocery store and back. The entire building is key card entry only so it is not easy for just anyone to get in. It’s a plus for safety, just don’t forget your key because they’ll charge you $35 for getting locked out. The hallways are all indoors and air conditioned and are really well kept. We have a sunroom which is great in the winter. We can warm up our apartment by almost ten degrees on a sunny day. From my buildings roof and gym, you have wonderful views of Maryland and Old Town Alexandria. You can see the river, Old Town, and The National Harbor. They are currently (as of January 2018) redoing the Courtyard area into a brand new grilling area with a dog park.Cons:While the area has been redeveloped, there are still some sore spots. Across the street is a car shop that is just a total hovel and is responsible for a lot of litter on that block. Yes, car shops aren’t going to be five star resorts, but this place is covered in grime and rust and the fence is falling apart. There are several income housing complexes that are just old and need to be cleaned up and rebuilt. (The city is working on this and like I said earlier, safety is never a concern for me and I’ve lived here for over a year now.) I’ve lived in an urban neighborhood before but I have never seen litter in a place like this before. It makes the place feel dirty.I pick up as much as I can but it’s just always being thrown around.Maintenance has been really responsive and great in general, but there are just some nitpicky issues. The sidewalk needed fixed and I had to say something twice. Several lights that the property have never been fixed no matter how many times I’ve asked. Not big deals, but it makes it seem unkempt and harder to see since these lights are in the drive areas. It’s also a little annoying seeing as you put in requests for them and they just close them out.As for the apartments themselves, they’re just ok. The cabinets are pretty cheap and ugly and the linoleum floors in the kitchen and bathroom are horrible. I’ve had linoleum in many places I’ve lived before, but it has never before so easily ripped. We don’t drag stuff across the floor or wear shoes around the house but I’ve had them come and fix the kitchen floor three times because its ripped up. I just stopped asking because it ripped up again and the bathroom ripped as well. You also really have to stay on top of the carpet or it’ll look dirty quick. They bill this as a luxury complex and the lobbies are beautiful and the apartments are decently nice. However, the floors and cabinets are horrible and the apartment is not luxury. It’s the cheapest apartment in the area and I get that, but paying $1,800 a month I think you can ask for a nicer apartment with newer appliances.
