I came to take a tour and instead of showing me the apartment I came for I was shown a different higher priced one without my knowledge. Treasure didn’t even bother showing me the laundry or fitness center as part of the tour. I then asked if I can see the apt I came for and she lied and told me because of COVID she can only show me one apt. In reality she was just too lazy to walk to show me the other apt. So I scheduled another appointment to see the apt I was seriously interested in renting later the same day, only to show up to the lazy bad attitude of Treasure who refused to show me the apt at all despite me arriving nearly 1hr before the leasing office closed.

Recently, I called on behalf of a friend of mine who lives in Northern VA, and a lady named Treasure ( I believe thats her name), was VERY rude and nasty over the phone. I figured she was having a bad day, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. I called, and she was mean again over a question I asked about bedrooms and size. If leasing management treats my co-worker like a pest when inquiring about a unit, I wonder what the experience will be like if he moved in. I wouldnt risk it. Therefore, I will take my money elsewhere.

It’s April and their is still no AC. The leasing office say it’s because it hasn’t been steadily over 40 degrees I’m assuming Fahrenheit overnight, well the problem is that it’s been above that for a month not to mention it’s about 80 degrees in the unit. I was advised to open the windows, I know it’s a personal problem but people have allergies. Also they said the amenities (gym, computer lab) have not opened up because corporate hasn’t told them to. We pay rent for the upkeep of amenities I’m sure they don’t just come out of the companies pockets. They only allow a max of two parking spaces. The maintenance team is excellent just been an overall bad experience for the one year I’m here and the only year I’ll be living here.

Now it makes sense why this place is cheap. I found out today when the weather is so hot today. The kind of hot day that while you take your shower you also feel like you sweating. The AC is not amentity available to residents. You only get AC during the summer. Because there is no hot days the rest of the year? The staff who decided on that decision must be severely incompetent. There is NO Air Conditioning. Just remember that. The price is low because the basic amenities in your apartment somewhere else that you take for granted are luxury options in this building. There is 2 washers and dryers for an entire floor of apartments. And usually only 1 works. The building is old. So expect maintenance to be a tenant in your apartment. That’s if they show up. Somethings take weeks to get fixed. I thought apartments came with basic amenities and boy was I wrong. And you will be shocked when you move here to find out.

I rarely write reviews but hopefully this helps inform future residents. The issue currently is that with the pandemic and most people working from home, the management has deemed it the appropriate time to do construction work on the balconies. So from the time that I log in to do some work till when I log off, theres continuous drilling going on. Im unable to dial into meetings for work or concentrate to do actual work. Ive called the office a couple of times to ask for some sort of alternative but all you get is flimsy excuses and responses from staff that cannot seem to comprehend the severity of the problem.

I thought I moved out from the worst place in Alexandria to come to London Park Towers for some benefits. Come to find out this place is much worse. The parking situation is a huge problem. My wife and I got a 1-bedroom. But only allowed 1 parking spot. And we cant buy any parking spot at additional cost. Honestly, the problem list is way too long and I dont want to bore you with writing an exhausting long list. More than likely you are coming here due to a special price or because this is what you can afford. Same here. Not enough parking on streets after 7pm and your guest must leave after 10pm. The appliance is extremely cheap. Staff are much more difficult than DMV. Its a dreadful process for any kind of request and impossible to reach the office.

I lived here a few years it was ok. I think its bizzare too there is no guest parking when you are paying all that rent a month. I lived on the top floor I had nice views and everything. However, there would be kids running up and down the hallway all morning. Sometimes even in the evening when you were trying to relax. The elevators took forever for the new ones to get installed. So that would be tough on me because I lived on the top floor. The front office is ok there was sometimes I would leave a message after hours and they would never call me back the next day. Its just an average place to live.

We lived here for 6 years. Its the best apartment to live. Management, maintenance and all the leasing office are very nice people. Very comfy and clean apartment. The only problem I can mention is they dont turn on the AC until the temperature rises to some extent. That transition time from winter to summer is really difficult especially with kids. But all in all, I really love London park Towers.

I don’t know what all these people are talking about. I’ve lived here in 5375 for 5 years never seen a mouse or roaches, maybe some people are just keeping messy dirty apartments but the building itself is clean. I never had a problem with the staff, anything I need they send someone ASAP. You get plenty of notice about any building wide maintenance work. And what apartment building doesn’t sometimes have a problem with the elevator? By the way they completely redid all THREE of them so they’re brand new. Other people are exaggerating or maybe they had one personal bad experience. The apartments are great and spacious and I highly recommend it.

Worst place I have ever lived at! Thank god I am moving out within a month.1. They will cut off water supply whenever they want.2. Parking is a terrible issue here.3. Management is the worst and extremely rude.4. The worst is that soon as I put in a 60 day move out notice, they send me a document reminding me as a part of the lease agreement they can let future renters come in and see the apartment whenever they want. They also wrote ‘we will try our best to make arrangements with you’ if you would like to be available! What a joke!If you don’t care about your personal belongings and would love strangers accompanied by rude management visit your apartment while you’re gone to work, this place is for you! Lived in this place for 3 years and it has gone downhill since. Looking for a new place. This place has so many issues and starts with the company and management. They closed my balcony for over 6 months and raised my rent because of it. Now pool is broke and wont open. This place sucks and for how much I pay for a 1 bedroom I should have much better and catered to for service. Dont move here. Plus the elevators are always breaking down and trapping people inside. Cant use the furnished club room either, that is only for employees now. There is no security on site especially night time and weekends. Parking is very limited and they hunt with tow trucks to remove and impound cars.

EDIT: I have lived here nearly 3 years now and am planning on moving soon. I have nothing against this complex and am happy to have spent my time here. Im moving essentially because I feel like Id be getting more bang for my buck by living farther away from the city center. I still stand by what I said in 2016 about management being friendly and helpful and the parking situation not being as bad as it used to be. Its annoying that you cant get a guest pass for overnight parking, but thats the best solution they had. Also I have literally never had a bug other than the occasional fruit fly if I leave bananas out too long and have never seen any kind of rodent wandering around. Plus the walls are super thick. Unless someone is in the hall, you cant hear what your neighbors are up to.FROM 2016:Ive been living here for 8 months now and I really like it here. Its in a really good location and everyone here is super friendly. I was concerned about the parking issues Id heard about. Management has managed to figure out a solution so parking isnt an issue anymore. Unless you report an emergency maitenence problem, it can take a while to get a repair done. But thats my only complaint.

My roommate and I lived in London Park Towers for a little over 2 years (2011-2013) and I can honestly say it was not the fanciest complex or full of extras like some places but I enjoyed my living experience. Having insulated walls were the best ever! It was nice not to hear every move my neighbors made. I rarely heard any noise from the apartments above or next to me and we lived on the first floor. The biggest and really only negative I have for the complex is the parking situation. I got off work in the early evening but my roommate worked night shifts and often had to park far away from the complex. She was towed a few times for parking in the trash zones because she did not want to walk a few blocks at 2 am to the complex and no parking was available. She was on the list for a reserved spot the entire time we lived there and no spaces ever became available. The price and space of our 2 bdrm 1 bath plus den was amazing for the price and the location was convenient to the highway and local shops/dining. I would move here again if I were working back in that area.

Terribly scarring living experience!!Our apartment had at least one MOUSE. It was very annoying and left us feeling constantly paranoid. It was also very unhygenic. We always kept our apartment clean, so we were surprised that there was a mouse. We told management about it repeatedly but they could never fix the problem. They would come spray some mouse poison and seal any holes in the walls, and set up mouse traps, but it was no help. My family and I killed one mouse ourselves, but a couple months later we found another one and the state of paranoia thus continued. The management couldnt do anything about it. They said many of the other units have mice too and admitted that its a common problem in London Park Tower apartments. They didnt bother notifying residents on how to get rid of the mice, and they didnt bother letting prospective tenants know about the mice problem either. Very inconsiderate people. The management did not care about our concerns. We would park our car in the buildings parking spaces and one day, someone stole the catalytic converter from under our car. We told management about it and they completely dismissed our concerns and told us to just go buy a new one. They didnt even bother warning other residents and they had no sympathy. They also claimed our unit has bedbugs in it and made us pack all of our belongings into trash bags so that the unit could be fumigated. But come fumigation day, they never show up for the service. We call them repeatedly, and then they say they rescheduled us for 2 weeks later! We were so angry. How could they not let us know that and how could they expect us to live out of trash bags for two weeks? They could have easily called us or came up to our unit and let us know. They are so disorganized and didnt even apologize. We had finally had enough and decided to move. We let the management know a month in advance and had booked the elevator for 4 hours for our moving day. But come moving day, it turns out the management didnt even reserve the elevator for us. We kept calling them and leaving voicemail but nobody answered. Our movers struggled a lot with not having a free elevator to move all of our furniture in. It took 3 times as long because of the incompetent management at London Park Towers and we had to pay 3 times as much. The management and living conditions here were so awful. Im glad we dont live there anymore. If you are thinking of moving here, dont.

I personally have no had major issues. I see a lot of complains about messes, smells, bad service. Never had issues with maintenance or the office. They are always helpful and polite and have been here for 2 years. Only few things I would suggest is allowing first come first serve guest parking maybe in the backs of the buildings where there is a few extra spots and just make sure people who love here dont take those spots up with extra cars and require limited parking passes for over 24 hours. I feel like if you are a good resident, they will take care of you better than if you are rude and dont follow rules or have a lot of complaints. I feel like many of these old reviews were just angry bad resident.

Sneaky, shady practices. I went online and saw that the 3 br. 2.5 ba apt. that I had inquired about last year was available again, after getting the run around last year. I put it on hold last Monday night and called the next day to view it. I was told that it would not be ready to view until Saturday and was given an appointment. Friday, I called to confirm my next day appointment and was told by the young lady that that particular apt. wasnt available. Huh? I explained the situation to her and that it was on the website. She put me on hold and then, came up w/ some story about how she didnt see it in her notes. She said it wasnt ready yet and rescheduled my appointment for the following Wednesday. I just called and, who I believe to be, the same young woman just told me it had already been rented! What?! I told her that I had placed a hold on it last Monday and she said, Yeah, that doesnt really mean anything, it just means that youre interested. Uhhh, what about the appointment reservations and constant calling? Clearly, someone held me at bay until one of their friends or family members reserved it. Unprofessional, unethical and outrageous.

Mice infestation is out of control. After installing motion triggered security cameras in my apartment I realized mice run rampent at night. I laid down traps and caught a different mouse each night. I fought for a pest control I section, and he found some issues and maintenance never returned to fix the points of entry. If you sit on one of the benches out front on a warm day, you will see them running around. The mice travel through the HVAC system. There is no way to keep them out and nothing you can do. The HVAC over-condenses & spews mildew and all the microscopic mice feces. The air quality is terrible and my health has deteriorated since moving here 2 years ago. Everyone in my household has been experiencing respiratory issues galore!I regret moving here. They do not taken any mildew or mice complaints seriously, so if you care about good air quality or sanitary living conditions, dont move here.

Lived here 2014-2016. 5 stars because my expectations were met. Its not a high end complex and I knew that going in. Yes, parking is not good, but again, I recognized the number of apartments units vs the number of parking spaces and set my expectations. Did I have to park on the street 5% of my nights, yes. Have a second car? Either get a two bedroom or prepare to park on the street. Every other apartment complex in the area will charge to $100 - 175 per month for 2 vehicles. I know this from going to 10 places earlier this year when I was looking to move.I will say this, go after the low-rise buildings, dont even bother with the Tower. I imagine most of the negative reviews are from the Tower and I had no desire to live there. I was the low-rise building right off duke st. in a one bedroom end unit that was 950 sq. Rent was $1240 before utilities like cable/internet and water. The rest were included. The unit was big, huge closests and lots of storage. Bathroom was small-ish. The appliances were adequate, never had an issue.Neighbors were quiet and the apartment was clean. Never had a bug/rodent issue. Yes the hallways often smelled of ethnic foods, but come on, the area is a bit of a mixing bowl, try to appreciate it and your neighbors. Smell and noise were never an issue in the actual unit. Staff was very curtious and repairs were prompt. There is a fire station adjacent to the complex and it can be noisy, but, sorry theyre doing their job..? Sorry but, Not in my backyard just isnt feesible in city living.Yes they tow right at the hour they say they will, so follow the rules. Yes my car was towed once, guess what, I wasnt following the rules. Yes they charge a fee for late rent, so follow the rules. Yes, I was late once, it sucked, I had an excuse, but dont we all..!Theyre model units need an update for sure! Like a museum of the early 90s. But have a little imagination and ask to be shown a vacant unit. Again, go after the low rise units. Spacious and huuuge balconies.I really enjoyed my stay here.

I hav been living here a total of 3 years. It is a very good value for the money, and has definate pluses but some negatives as well. The good: large square footage for the money and a quiet neiborhood. Staff are extremely helpful, and the resident population is friendly, curtious, and helpful to one and other (open doors, hold elevators, etc). Mainentance is quick to fix anything you have an issue with usually same day. There is a good amount of storage space for an apt.Downsides: parking is tight but I have never failed to find a spot within 50 yards of the front door. BUT if you have multiple cars, they will only issue one parking decal per apt which means only the car with the decal can park on the lot overnight. Others have to use street parking. Also, no washer /dryer in the apts....must use the public ones on the each floor, but that has not been an issue with me. The W/D uses prepaid cards that you can load with up to $40 at a time, so no hastle with coins. Also the applicances are the bottom of the line. Adequate but just barely.Elevators are no worse than other places I have lived. There are 3 which is adequate. You may have a small wait if one is being reserved for 4 hrs for move in/move out.All in all, the tradeoffs make it worth it for me. I love the location and the size of the master bedroom and the living/dining room. Also kitchen is large for the 2 bedroom apt. Bathrooms as small but adequate.

*sorry about the long paragraph. Apparently google review doesnt allow you to break up your paragraphs. This is the worst place Ive ever lived. I have been all over Alexandria from vermont ave(townhouse) to the mark center to southern towers. This place not only was terrible it was a death trap for my young kids. I have a video we were shooting of my 2 year old daughter walking down the hall way and waiting for the elevator. Suddenly the elevator doors closed on her and would not stop. This is when i realized their is no pressure sensor to stop the elevators only a physical sensor that the door mechanism bypasses after a couple of seconds. No big deal for an adult but terrifying for my daughter. the real deathtrap is the Railing on the balcony thats up to code for when the building was built but not to today s standard. The gap between each post is wide enough for a child to fit his or her body through. when i complained about it i was told they only replace them when the balcony is remodeled as the law requires. There is a fire house across the street that runs their sirens at any time of the night before they come out onto duke street(im guessing to make sure they work as their is no one on the road to notify their merging in)When my son was in the hospital when his blood count came back extremely low i missed rent. When i called them to apologize and explain the situation they wouldnt work with me. I offered to show them the note the doctors wrote for my work and they declined. The complex was built 50+ years ago so they dont have enough parking to cover the parking passes they give out. They dont keep track of the total passes vs total spots. when my wife came home from work at 11 pm their wouldnt be any spots left in the entire community. This wouldnt be so bad if the tow truck company they hire didnt act like vultures. The tow trucks recognizing the easy money every night were always there. This left many residents sleeping in their cars. You can kiss that security deposit goodbye as they value their carpet at 1100 with a lifespan of 4 years. what this means you have to live there 4 years before they will consider it as needing to be replaced. if you move out after 2 years you will owe half of the total cost of replacement. Every single resident i saw in the 2 years we lived there that left had their carpets replaced after they left. i can only assume this means they charged each one of them. The only nice thing i can say about this place is that the landscape is beautiful. The maintenance is friendly and the location is close to 395. If those 3 things are worth 1700 a month for a 2 bed room Give this place a try otherwise i would take my money elsewhere.

Do not move here! Parking is horrific. If you come home after a certain time there will be no spots left. Once I had to park in the grass in between 2 parking spots..... i woke up in the am to find my car had been towed. Despite having a parking permit in the window. I was told it was against the rules to park in the grass even if all the spots were full. I guess i was suppose to double park & sleep in my car. I had to pay $175 to get it back. The building is old and constantly having issues. Leasing office is slow to fix problems. A pipe burst in my apt while I was at work. By the time I came home it had flooded my entire kitchen floor, 1/4th of my dining room floor, ran out into the hallway of the building and was leaking to the outside of my building. My water bill was 3x as high and they refused to cover any of it. My apartment smelled like mildew for a month. Their solution to thr problem was to give me dollar store box fans to appempt to dry out the floor. It was soo wet when I stepped on thr tile of the kitchen floor, water came up in between the cracks. They refused to shampoo the carpet. Ive seen mice in my apt several times despite reporting to staff and asking them to close holes in my apt that might be enabling rodents to travel in my apartment. I went to the leasing office and was told I could do a month to month once my lease is over. I submitted a letter to them asking to do this. 30 days before my lease was over they gave me a letter stating that I was no longer able to do that and they wanted to end my contact. My rent is always paid on time, Im hardly ever home & have little to no guest. Office staff are shady!
