It has taken me almost a year to write this because my blood pressure rises just thinking about H. Gray & Co. I rented a nice unit from them for a year and have been dealing with rentals for a long time. I know to take photos at move-in and at move-out, with a date stamp. Upon receiving keys to the unit, I asked her when she was planning on cleaning the carpets. She replied that they were already done by a reputable company and disregarded my concern for overwhelming pet smell (which I have email proof that I disclosed immediately). I liked the unit so I took it upon myself to clean the carpets before moving my belongings in. The shampooer got HANDFULLS of pet hair up, meaning the carpets had not even been properly vacuumed. No big deal, I let it go because I made it bearable. At move out, Heidi kept almost $400 from my deposit claiming we left a pet smell behind and did a shotty job cleaning. Ive always received my full deposit when leaving a property, and took her to court. She obviously knew the judge personally from their interactions and he told me that I was clearly taking her to court on principle and dismissed the case saying it wasnt enough money to be worried about (what the heck?). I provided photo proof that the home was cleaner upon move-out than at move-in, showed receipts for carpet cleaning 3 times during my tenancy, and all the judge could say was that he couldnt decide if the house smelled bad from a photo. In addition to keeping half of our deposit, the company constantly sent me false notifications that my rent was late. I followed up with them each time and they eventually fixed it, but what a way to treat your tenants.Understand that you will certainly not receive your full deposit back and perhaps it is worth the stress.

This realtor is absolutely horrible! I had plumbing work in my unit done that took about one month to complete also when they took out my toilet for my bathroom they left it in the middle of my living room for the whole weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday and the maintenance man left my unit unlocked there for some of my belongings were stolen And the best thing she could do is tell me to get renters insurance after it was her fault that my property was gone. not too sure if it was by the workers or a random person but my unit was left open due to the people she hired to fix my unit. She left me and my 4 yr old son with no restroom for a whole week in which my son eventually used the restroom on himself in the middle of the night because of lack of access to a restroom and then she wants to sit here and try to take me to court in accuse me of abatement but the whole time charging me late fees when there were multiple problems with the unit. (Unlivable) She is very rude when confronting her with issues and she is very unprofessional her husband is the maintenance man which she sends into units to keep an eye her tenants and belongings in the unit. Had problems in my unit and I constantly texted her for months asking that her to fix them and I did not get any response then when I threaten to take her to court she was messaging me blowing me up telling me she wants to six every day how she so sorry very untrustworthy. My advice find a different realtor because H. Gray & company is by far the most unprofessional place I’ve ever lived at

I was a previous tenant for a year and only had to work with her because my previous landlord decided to close and gave her properties to Heidi. She charged me late fees because she didn’t deposit or lost my check three times and then threatened to charge me more late fees for the next month if I didn’t pay the current late fees. This is when I realized I was dealing with a con artist. When I moved out of the house, I spent 5 days cleaning it from light fixtures and fan blades for baseboards and walls. She kept 765.00 of my 1100.00 dollar deposit. I demanded it back with evidence and letters supporting why it was unfair. She did not take me serious until I sued her. Then, she asked me to drop the suit and she would give me an additional 200.00 because she wanted to be happy and didn’t want to deal with me or it anymore and I was going to lose anyway so I should just take the 200.00. I stuck to my guns and refused. Today the judge sided with me and I won the case. Her company now has a judgement against them for my deposit. Her assistant asked to pay me right then to clear it up and Heidi, in court, said no. She didn’t have the money. I don’t know if I’ll ever get the money she owes me but let this be a lesson. You don’t have to agree to anything because people will take whatever you let them take. She lost because her costs were her estimates..she didn’t have proof of anything.

Natasha’s allegations are un true. She was not charged a late fee because her rent was lost or not deposited. Her rents were in fact late several times. As for the charges at move out, many of them came from the owner of the unit as well as the previous landlord. Heidi took over the house after the tenant was already living there and had no information on what the house looked like before the tenant moved in. She relied on the previous landlord to state what damage was caused by the tenant as well as the owner. Natasha has since been paid for the judgement made by the courts. She made it extremely difficult to get the check to her and made so many demands of when and where to meet her. This company has been in business for over 20 years and has had very few unsatisfied clients over that time.

When we tried to rent a house from heidi we got approved for the credit and back round check but because I dont use the bank due to the fact that im an independent contractor and most of our money comes to us as cash from tips and family. It took her 6 days to tell us that we cant move in for one reason or another while saying the whole time that all she needed was more information. She told us that we were not accepted while I was getting proof of my income. She was impatient and wasted our time reassuring us that we could move into the house. She has an unreasonable policy. She wanted a family member to co-sign on a 800$ rentalhouse. Iv been a renter for the past 5 years and never ran into this problem. Im currently paying 700 with no issue at all. She called almost every one from landlords to bosses and they reassured her that we were working and good tenets. She only needed proof of an extra 600$ even though we could prove that we made enough money to cover the rent and bills already, and while i was getting that proof she said that an invoice from western union wasnt good enough. She told me that i made pennies when i already told her that i get my money from family and get paid in cash and dont use the bank. The fact that she was trying to rent a house that had 8 year old carpet, 60 year old windows and a floor that was caving in and unstable while expecting so much from her tenets is insane. If she just told us it wouldnt work the first few days that would be fine. It was a waist of time, resources and our money. Renters like that are the reason why x cons, people with bad credit and poor people are homeless or stuck in slums. Im not even any of those things but i still got denied.
