I love the Y. Friendly staff and I can always use the workout equipment I want to use.

Only used the outside pools but they were nice. Have yet to visit inside

I could not be happier than to find a place like MC Leods YMCA to reestablish my exercise routine. I have been to a number of for- profit gyms over the years and have determined that Mc Leods YMCA offers amenities for free that these other gyms lacked. In the ten times I have exercised at the MC Leods YMCA, there has always been at least one staff member in the workout area who has a great understanding of all the equipment and how to properly utilize all the various weight machines.I had a number of questions that were answered concerning the best way to use the weight machines. Beyond words, many of the assistants, such as Heather, Will, and the two Alexes, demonstrated how to use some of the equipment. The help Ive gotten from the staff has increased my confidence in using the gym.I am 76 years old with health concerns. The staff has been extremely thoughtful and considerate of my strengths and limitations. I feel I am viewed as a real human being with specific and unique goals and aspirations, rather than just another source of revenue. EVERY SINGLE staff member I have encountered at the MC Leods YMCA appears to enjoy what they do and all of them are people persons.I could not ask for a better environment in which to pursue my health goals. Living for a long time lying in a nursing home staring at the wall doesnt sound particularly appealing to me. With the help of those such as the staff at MC Leods, I will not only live longer, but healthier so that I can enjoy what I have left of my existence.Rudy H.

The pool and gym are both top notch

I cannot say enough about the staff at the YMCA. They have taken my under their wings and worked with me until Covid 19. The group classes are great. There are classes to help you with the correct form to keep from injuring yourself and get the most of the work you are putting in. I miss the family that I formed at the Y. The members are friendly and inclusive.

1st time there, referred by a fellow soldier. Staff is very welcoming, as are the other guests and the equipment is very clean! Im very impressed and glad i found this gem of a gym!

Please do not sign your child up for summer camp here AT ALL unless you want to see your child more SUNBURNT than you have ever experienced (because they will not allow sunscreen if the children forgot their sunscreen and other children are not allowed to share either!)) and no matter what age- your child better know proper ways to put on sunscreen because they will NOT help them put it on. That being said, if you child is able to reach their back effectively- GREAT ! I personally do not know a young child that can. They they will take field trips to the zoo which is great, but for a solid 4 HOURS in the JULY NM sun without proper sunscreen application is not. I have never seen my granddaughter SO SUNBURNT as when she was enrolled here. And I mean DAILY. EVEN though she had her own sunscreen. The management offers one thing and does another; and I cannot stress enough to any parent with ears.... PLEASE enroll for summer camp SOMEWHERE ELSE. YMCA is supposed to be a great place for children and families. Perhaps that is true for a mom or dad who wants to lift weights and casually work out - maybe even for a brief visit to swim- but not for your precious childs summer vacation. The instructors CAN be kind sometimes and sometimes you may not get a kind one - but either way they all simply babysit, and watch over them. The instructors do not play with them at ALL. Picture some one twirling a whistle while watching your kids and you got the picture. If you have an issue with management, one thing is offered, another thing is done - and they make YOU feel like YOU did something wrong. Nothing is handled professionally or maturely by the NM YMCA management. Please spare yourself the experience !

This facility’s administration is terrible. Definitely not worth the money and heartache.

Nice staff, scheduled workout and pool times to ensure social distancing

I moved by the YMCA a few months ago, and have loved it. They have all the equipment you could need, great classes, and watch your kids for free. Wish the pool was open year round, but I understand theyre working on it.The staff is outstanding. If you like early morning work outs youll meet Joel. He knows petty much any exercise you could need to reach your goals. If you come for more than a week hell be greeting you by first name. Hes a real asset to this facility.I highly recommend everybody looking to get started on fitness goals to check the ymca out.

Been a member for 2yrs and BRIANNA tells me today I cant take my kids swimming without them having a membership for 2yrs we have enjoyed swimming there and being with the nice people until today WHEN I WAS RUDELY ASKED TO SIGN WAIVERS THAT I HAVE ALREADY SIGNED AND WAS BEING RUDELY TOLD THAT I COULD PAY FOR OTHER MEMBERSHIPS FOR MY KIDS thanked for nothing after 2 yrs I guess Ill have to find a place where they talk me the truth right up front THANKS BRIANNA FOR SPOILING MY LAST DAY WITH MY SON BEFORE HE LEAVES IT WAS SO WONDERFUL OF YOU

Friendly and helpful staff!

Great adult work out classes as well as youth activities. Also has a gym and seasonal outdoor pool. Friendly staff and enthusiastic instructors. Much better building layout than the Horn facility (not saying the Horn facility is bad).

I was out in Albuquerque last week visiting the area, and being a member of the greater Brandywine Y in the Philadelphia area, my girlfriend and I stopped in your facility for a few workouts. I’ve never in my life have met such nice and helpful staff members. The gym is beautiful and really nice environment. I could not recommend this place enough! It’s totally worth the monthly fee. We hope to see them again.

Guy at front desk was very confusing, but it is confusing times. Some difficulty signing up even with my silver sneakers card. But again....it is confusing times. Got my card to use though.

Good location well kept good sized pool i just wish the pool was open later and that some of the people in the weight room werent so rude

Incompetent and unmotivated front desk staff, barely looked up when we walked in, messed up our billing three times, as well as our cancellation. Business manager was unapologetic, bordering on rude. Childcare is a joke, just teens more interested in their phones who turn on a movie for the kids. No security procedure in place to verify who is picking up child. Other YMCAs have been great for us, but we do NOT recommend this one.

Rip off the prices are ridiculous for a simple membership for an adult. Shut this place down we don’t need another rip off gym business in our community.

For the most part everyone is nice they have nice equipment and a nice size pool with life guards. As long as you go its worth the money!

I am not a YMCA member but I visit the site couple times as visitor. Lots of parking lot, nice equipment and a clean swimming pool :)

I’m a YMCA member in Louisville. I was in town on vacation. The allowed me to use their facility. Plenty of cardio machines and weights.

Low-key, well-equipped gym with machines and free weights and helpful person at a desk if you have questions. They also have an Olympic size pool.

Best place for family

No one answers the phone and when youre transferred to another extension as directed by the system states that no such extension exists. Tried calling for 4 days...........whats the number for Defined Fitness???

No one ever answers the phone every time I call !
