Well, It’s definitely an improvement over Planet Fitness! i’ve been working out here once a week for about three weeks now and I have attended my first yoga class today. It was in a hot yoga studio (which is not my favorite) but I enjoyed it quite a bit and it wasn’t “too” hot such that I felt like I could breathe finethrough the entire class. Even in a mask. Next I tried fruit smoothie from the shake bar, (the Very Veggie) and it was very tasty! I’ll do that again :-)Now I plan to hit the pool… overall this is a nice way to spend a Saturday off. Better than sitting on my couch watching TV and playing games on my phone. (Which has become too much of a habit!!!)With regards to sign up, they may encourage you to sign up online but… DON’T DO THAT. I suggest you just go in and give it a try with a very friendly people on site. My experience of attempting to sign up online was exasperating… First, being forced to set up a web account, then being directed to download the app; then being sent back to the website; then being sent back to the app; then getting to the gym and having to do it all over again; Then deciding to try the one-week trial; then, when the trial expired and I had to sign up for the permanent membership… AGAIN. Seriously?!So, in summary if you’re looking to get back to working out, this is a great place to start. There are tons of options from laying in a Hydro massage chair to free weights. And everything in between. Also they have on-site childcare, for those who still have babies in tow. Sometimes it is almost possible to be “all things to all people”... At least they are giving it a try ;-)

I signed up for a few weeks ago, I had an employee named Tanner help me sign up and he was very thorough and detailed with his initial tour of the gym and answered all my questions without being in a hurry. Since then every time I come in, even though theyre a hundreds and hundreds of people he always says hi Robert, he remembered my name. What a great employee and asset to Chuze fitness, promote him to manager or supervisor!! Besides that, the gym is wonderful, not too crowded, and I always treat myself with a wonderful tasting smoothie here when Im finished.

Fabulous place to workout and the entire team there is really welcoming. Ive spent as much as 6 hours there in one day because theres so much to do. The movie room is always fun if you have time, but I usually use the turf area for warm ups and abs workouts before working arms, legs or chest on all of the equipment. I use the pool and sauna/steam room/ hot tub once or twice a week and Ill get a massage at the end of the week. They also have a tanning room but I havent used it yet. The smoothie bar is always amazing and the employee that took our order was very outgoing. His name is Josiah and we had a nice conversation while he made us our smoothies. Best gym in Albuquerque!

New to this gym and so far really liking it. Never have to wait for a machine, everything is so clean and the music is motivating that sometimes I don’t even wear my headphones. Wish the front desk would actually say Hi though when you get there but they’re always talking amongst themselves not acknowledging ppl. Only other con is annoying high-school looking kids have come wearing converse, standing around in the grass area and chatting instead of working out. Overall though a pretty nice gym.

I love the staff here! They’re all super friendly and inviting. The atmosphere in the gym is simply wonderful and I’ve never had a bad experience here. Super clean, top tier equipment. This gym has everything you could ever want and more!

The new GM Kellen, is friendly, honest, and hard working. I personally saw him moving equipment with staff .. to thoroughly clean equipment, and that honestly makes me feel safer during Covid . I feel like I made the right switch from Sports and wellness. Go Chuze! I hope that the changes made by the manager will continue to provide excellent customer service 🥳

Ive never worked out in a Chuze before but I have to admit this one is pretty amazing! The staff is very friendly, the place is clean, and I was able to get an awesome workout in. Overall its a good good gym for beginners and athletes. Great GYM!

This gym is the best one in Albuquerque.It is fairly new,I love the hot tub and the pool.And I also like using the hydro massage chairs,which is definitely a plus!🤗

Good *clean* facility. I go in the morning so I never have to wait for open stations. 5 stars if they could police the people who make dog noises for half an hour while they work out.

Is very clean except for zincs in ladies bathroom, I talk to assistan manager and told him, also I told some ladies that were inspecting the equipment, nothing change still the same

Awesome gym super crowded I know if the company invested in another westside location and in the north valley it would boom!!

The team at this location goes above and beyond to keep everything clean, with the help of the 90% members wiping down their equipment with provided wipes afterwards. Well lit parking lot, friendly staff and no creeps that I’ve noticed as of yet. I can dig it! I’m there 5/6 days a week and I’ll keep going back!

Always clean. Staff are very good, I enjoy the extras its worth it for me. HydroMassage is very good , classes are great, and the theater is a great perk.

The showers are dirty, hair on floor. Though I have told the front desk staff, nothing has been done. Still dirty. The turf is not being vacuumed daily and there for there is hair and bits of trash on it, Couldn’t report this to general manager. There is no one you can talk to.

Feel like it would be a great gym if it weren’t so crowded

Still open during these crazy times! Masks are not an option, must be worn covering mouth and nose while in the facility. Capacity is limited so reservations can be made to ensure you get your spot. Some amenities are still shut down due to gov restrictions (no steam room, sauna or hot tub) but the classes are still going, pool is open for single lane lap swimming and the hydro chairs are still up and running.

Great, clean place to workout with plenty of quality equipment. The staff keeps this place extremely clean and disinfected. Staff is always friendly as well.

Fantastic place to work out with very friendly staff! Everything is super clean and in good working condition. My personal favorite thing to do is cardio in the cinema while watching a good movie.

We recently moved to NM from FL and Chuze was suggested to me by my brother so, I joined.The employees here are friendly and helpful. I also enjoy the amenities of tanning, hydro massage, and hopefully the sauna when that re-opens.I’m not a huge fan of wearing a mask during my workout but I know this is not the gyms fault- blame the governor.The only reason I’m rating 4 stars is because of the 1 hour time slots... there is almost never a bench or squat rack open during the time I’m able to go. Have a baby, a job, and other things to do during the day so I can’t go whenever I want.... When a bench or rack opens up I only have 10 minutes left to complete a 30 min workout... maybe limiting time on popular equipment during busy hours would be beneficial?

What happened to Chuze??...They use to play FitRadio and now they play slow RnB and boy band groups. Then there policy was no bags on the floor and now theres bags on the gym floor like Defined. You use to see all equipment working at all times and now you find equipment out of service.I hope this is all temporary..

Everything is nice and clean. The employees are kind and professional. The prices are pretty good.

Great gym. Friendly and clean

I am extremely disappointed in this location. Out of all of the gym I have been to over the years, the Chuze location at Coors and Paseo is the worst gym by far. The staff makes it impossible to workout. They are unprofessional, and extremely rude.The wipes to wipe the machines are always out. Instead of harassing the people trying to workout the staff should worry a little more about the up keep of the gym and focusing a little more on the actual duties of their jobs. I will no longer return to this location and I will also spread the word not to join the gym at this location. If I could give a negative star I would but sadly one star is as low as I can rate.I usually get the names of staff members that I feel need to be pointed out whether it is a good or bad reason. My list of bad reason people for this location got so long I just decided I will not return rather than point fingers at basically the whole staff. I do not recommend this Chuze at all.

No one bothers you plenty of equipment to use not too crowded. I really enjoy my work outs

They gave us NO emails, phone calls, or reminders that our yearly membership fee would be withdrawn from our account. They withdrew it without warning and now refuse to refund us even though we havent been to this gym and over a year and have cancelled our membership! I would have excepted some kind of reminder that our yearly fees were coming due so I can make sure I had money in my account to cover it, but no, NOTHING!!

Chuze fitness: These people are not your friends and they sure arent your family as thay like to say. I tried this place when defined fitness was having prices fluctuate due to state restrictions. I have been going for about 3 months. Tried to bring numerous issues to managments attention. Today I was already upset about something else tried to go into the gym but the door was locked. I aggressive opened the door but held it back with my motorcycle helmet. About 10 minutes later and angry woman who worked there got right in my face and said I damaged there door. Unsteady of having the decency and common sense just to just tell me what happened and let me apologize and pay for whatever damage I caused, the angry woman said she called the manager, who is never there by the way. The manager didnt even try to treat me like family with the smallest bit of compassion and understanding. He just told me to F-off by proxy. This is just another corporate giant who doesnt care about the customers that keep it in business.

I love this gym, Ive swam at both Sports and Wellness, and Defined Fitness. Both places are stuffy, and the atmosphere makes you feel uncomfortable, not at Chuze Fitness, I absolutely love it there!!

Should be 5 star but just can’t bring myself to give it. Chuze does not seem to take violation of the mask mandate seriously. There are a handful of members that repeatedly refuse to wear masks while working out or do not wish to wear them properly. A few members refuse to wipe down equipment after use. I had repeatedly complained to the desk and showed pictures of ones working out without masks. They said the best they could do is provide a warning. How many warnings does a member need? No temp check at check in. Even barbers and hair salons do that. As much as we loved the facility my wife and I no longer felt safe with so many members flagrantly flaunting the mask requirement so we had to end our membership and piece together a home gym. Maybe in the future if Chuze revisits their safely policies and protocol we may think about joining again.

I have been a member of Chuze Fitness in Albuquerque, New Mexico since they first opened in 2019. I have been very happy with the staff, the equipment and upkeep of the gym. I had taken a break when Covid-19 first started but came back a few months ago. I am elated with what the CF staff is doing to keep everyone safe. They are cheerful but firm and very diligent about following all COVID-19 protocol. I see them clean constantly and make appropriate announcements every 1/2 hour. My gym is on Eagle Ranch Road here in Albuquerque and they have the BEST STAFF EVER!!!Signed...Member for life!!

Like a college campus gym. For some odd reason they have the cable machines in the middle of the weight room area shut down. Makes no sense. Nice clean gym though.

At the beginning of all this, I was skeptical but you have made every effort to encourage ppl to be compliant and keep the place as safe as you can. That is no small feat. I love the reservation system. Maybe boot.no shows after 10after?

I love going here and working out. The theater is awesome and makes the workout easier.

This gym is phenomenal, it blows away any other gym in New Mexico. I drive all the way up from Santa Fe to exercise here! If your into fitness you must try a day at this gym!

Paying for the most expensive membership so that I could use guest privileges and many of their other privileges. However, since the pandemic the guest privileges and all other perks have stopped as well as there are only one hour appointments. They refused to defer even a part of my payment because I am paying more money for no perks now. There is also a cancellation fee which makes things even pricier. Overall getting a membership right now isnt worth it, there are many open and more flexible gyms than Chuze.

Thank you Cameron for remaking a smoothie for me! I appreciate you going the extra mile to make a smoothie that I enjoyed even when I was being picky about it!

Chuze is a great work out place.Their reservations should also include swim lanes (only 3-lanes) because only 3 slots available each hour... This hasnt prevented a swim just yet, but having a swim reservation even without Covid-19 would be good.

I work out at the westside CF daily. I use cardio and weight machines equally. I like the number and variety of machines. There are weight machines that Ive never seen in other gyms Ive belonged to that Im using regularly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I think theyre doing a commendable job trying to enforce the mask rule. Its a difficult position to be in and were living in unprecedented times. I only have two complaints. I think the music is too loud. I can hear it even with my headphones on, while listening to my own music. Seems unnecessary and intrusive. More importantly, Im concerned about the crowded conditions (pre-COVID) that occur, especially during weekday, evening prime time. This nearly prevented me from joining and is preventing a number of my friends from doing so. Considering the impact of the pandemic, is it still realistic to think that you might open more locations, hopefully alleviating this problem? Im assuming well be back at the former levels in the not-too-distant future. Thanks.

I absolutely love this gym and it’s so unfortunate that mandates have made it difficult if not impossible to go. But the employees and management have gone above and beyond and I greatly appreciate that. Had to put my membership on a hold because I can not workout with a mask due to asthma. They were helpful and made the process easy and hopefully it won’t be long before I can go back.Update: 7/12/2021 We’ll glade things are opening up but seems like the welcome feeling and customer service they once had is a thing of the past. It’s good to see one of the managers who was there in the beginning when it opened. But now when I go in there’s no greeting and none when I leave. The girls seem to just want to gossip. It’s unfortunate that these days it’s hard to find people who actually care about working and treating all customers the same. It’s definitely not the same fun, enthusiastic, welcoming atmosphere that made it stand out from the other gyms.7/23/2021Well it definitely seems like you guys listen. Last week I have been coming in, there has been a great improvement of welcoming and smiling employees. Shout out to Tanner who is just so happy and welcoming. Please keep him and others like him. I absolutely love this gym! Staff is awesome and friendly, everything is always super clean! And even when it’s busy, the atmosphere does not ever feel busy. The cinema and pool are my favorite places!!!

Clean, well equipped great staff

I love this gym and I very much enjoy working out here, however, this post is about how they are handling the mandatory mask order issued by our state (due to Covid-19). A few days ago I received a text alert from the gym that masks would be required inside the gym during your work out. The first couple days everyone was in compliance, now on Saturday, there were numerous people not wearing their masks and even more with their masks hanging from their face (not covering their nose and mouth). I am not looking to debate the issue of wearing a mask while working out, my concern is that of enforcement. Numerous times at this gym I have seen the staff respectfully instruct members that they need to place their bags in lockers and not have them with them during their workouts. How is it that they are comfortable enforcing that rule, and not the mask wearing one?

Love this gym. It can get crowded sometimes but it’s not their fault everyone wants to get buff lol. Definitely way better than the east side location.

I appreciate the care/concern your staff are taking to ensure members are abiding by guidance related to wearing masks (do it! at all times during your visit/work-out at the gym) and clean-up. Members are also responsible for assisting -- which means disinfecting before/after equipment use. Without this are other choice is to lose the privilege of working out at a facility.From my experience staff go out of there way -- and risk their health -- so we can continue. THANK YOU!!! A big shout out to Justin who works hard to supervise activities and adherence to guidelines.

Would get a membership but I cant. The only time I can go is when theyre closed. They used to be 24 hours for a brief while. I just dont understand how covid impacts hours. Like how many people go at 2 in the morning. Not a lot. Shouldnt be that hard to keep it clean.

This is a great facility the staff is great, always make you feel welcome. Damien runs a great team here at chuze and I appreciate the hospitality, that makes a huge difference. This is a clean and well maintained facility. Keep up the great work chuze team!

Probably the most crowded establishment Ive been to since the beginning of Covid back in March. But I do believe that Chuze has kept up with state/national Covid precautions. It was nice to see everyone with a mask on and wiping down equipment before/after use👍🏼

I absolutely love CHUZE! Such a great environment. Its super clean and is full of such professional staff.

Team training with Isabel, Mamiko, and Bo is positive and just what I need to help me meet my fitness goals. They all three give the client a consistent experience while using their own personal strengths to give attention to detailed instruction. Something unique is the way the class is ended with uplifting words. I love using the heart monitor and the app as a tool for tracking my progress. As a twenty year loyal member to another gym in town, I have to say Im thrilled I switched. Chuze has it all!!! I sincerely look forward to going each time.

Great way to get in shape

Great gym, very clean and the people up front always say hi and bye. The classes are great and a good environment to workout in.

This place has the friendliest staff. The childcare is incredible which makes a Mama working out guilt free. They are always engaged with the kiddos. The Chuze front desk always greets me with a smile and a hello using my name. They are awesome!

Chuze is a modern take on the gym experience to feel comfortable in a well lit, spacious area, with new equipment and classes offered at various times. Even with the covid pandemic theyve worked hard to maintain that experience.

Im so glad they finally opened! Ive been going to the Chuze near my work, but Im excited to start going to this location which is closer to my house. So far their customer service has been awesome. Very kind and fast workers ! I enjoyed a smoothie at the smoothie bar. The movie room is my get away place as well as the massage chairs! Im waiting for more team training classes to open up and Ill be bringing my son to their kids room soon! Prices are great!

This place is amazing! It has everything you need from heavy weights to just small machines. Even just the massage is worth the middle level plans.

Love the gym over all. You get a lot for your money. But if you go any time in the evening you can’t find a parking spot.I had to park down the street and after yoga it was dark, zero lights and had to walk back to my car. It wasn’t a very safe feeling. They need more parking spaces and lighting.

I switched from Defined to Chuz. This gym is 10x better, hands down. Newer equipment, more cardio machines and A THEATER with more cardio equipment... did I mention the smoothie bar!?!?

They are very friendly and nice. Everything is in good condition. And they are constantly cleaning all equipment.

Great facilities, clean, non-judgmental. Staff is great, not as amazing as the Winrock location but I think the staff here always seems overwhelmed by the daily traffic. I docked 1 star due to how busy this place is - I use the turf space a lot for various and diverse training, and I wont even go anymore in the evenings because parking is impossible and the gym is PACKED. However, I get that the affordable price and amenities attract an obnoxious amount of people. Im going to wait a few more months to see if this changes, but I might switch gyms if Chuze stays this popular.

I wasn’t able to sign up online the web site was not working, due to that I woke up early drove 30 mins to figure out that I can’t work out today or tour the facility to see if I like it.

I like the gym but they really dont keep a good disinfectant there. I bring my own spray bottle to keep me and others safe. Mine is more than 80 percent alcohol

Not professional the staff is unwilling to help you do anything. And the place is always full.. they wont even act like they care about the individuals walking in the door.

Very nice gym, with lots of amenities. However, the music that was playing over the loudspeakers was of the x-rated variety. Agree with other reviewers that something a little more appropriate should be played. Doesnt really bother me, as I wear headphones, but...

Outstanding facility for the price! Three levels of membership for those who need more than the basics. The music blaring over sound system is not exactly my type or taste in music and seems not be many others as well. Hopefully theyll find a middle ground in that regard so they dont drive out the over 40 group. Headphones or earbuds are advisable.

Overall, great gym because it has basically everything you need and can be very affordable. Here are my only complaints:Parking - this needs to be addressed soon. People are parking (we basically have to) on the access road leading to the gym making it dangerous to drive through (the road becomes very narrow). This gym needs to add additional parking and strictly forbid people from parking on the access road before someone gets hurt.More Racks! - Racks are super popular these days and I applaud them for having FIVE, but we need more!Rowers - There are only two, and they are the Water Rower brand. Would be nice if there were more rowers and were the ubiquitous Concept 2 brand (most popular brand, better workout computer, and cheaper to buy over the fancy looking water rower)

Great atmosphere great investment.

Terrible practices with their billing and pandemic. First they charged me as they shut down. While the did reverse it, now they are either forcing you to return or pay a $50 cancelation fee. They told me I had 30 days to decide but then charged me anyhow! Gosh, how NOT to get people to return! And by the way, I am a high risk person we a compromised immunity.

This place is packed..Great equipment, helpful staff. Im in my late 50s, so the place looks like its overrun with teens..Overall a good gym. The one thing i can do without is the choice of music..but then..im outside the marketing demographic..Ill live.

Nice and clean! Lots of equipment and great child care services. Our 6 month old slept the whole time and was held by Chia and I believe her name was Kaley. I am impressed so far

Im slightly disappointed. I joined this gym to get away from the filth of most other gyms in the area. They claim to be nicer, bigger, friendlier, cleaner. They are not cleaner. My second visit at this brand new gym and the shower was gross. It was just after 10 am and the shower was already full of someones disgusting black hair near the drain. In addition, the WiFi did not work and there was already, at least, one machine down. Im hoping this is just a fluke from a brand new opening and that this all gets ironed out. I had really high hopes for a better place to workout. Yes, the shower and locker room is an important part to me. The staff seem nice enough but whenever I call this gym, I never get an answer. Come on, step up! Im paying you folks more and was hoping for more.

I really liked this gym. Its not so crowded and its clean. I can workout peacefully

I agree that the saunas are not hot and not infra red. True infra red saunas have colored lights to chose (red, blue, orange, etc.). True infra red saunas run hotter than these. I sat in one for almost and hour and never broke a sweat. The bright lights are obscene. Also people who use dry and wet heat for health reasons do not wear dirty shoes and workout clothes into the heat whether steam or dry heat. Funny how gym users here have no idea how to correctly use heat for health needs. One should be clean and showered and without clothes (to prevent germs) and to benefit.

I am in love with this fitness center . The Cinema cardio room is my favorite.... it’s easy to forget it’s a workout! The facility is new but it is so clean and the amenities are great. The Hydro Massage is so relaxing ! The pool area and sauna, locker rooms are so sleek and chic and clean . I’m excited for the fitness classes to begin ! Affordable and accommodating. It doesn’t have that meat market feeling and it’s roomy, not a bunch of young people hanging out in the way . I hope it stays that way !! Its also nice there isn’t lounge stations in the pool area so people aren’t just hanging out . It’s fitness business get it done and leave .!! I love it ! Well done CHUZE ! Let’s keep it nice and respect this fitness center West side people !!

I usually don’t submit bad reviews but let me say that I’m glad there is another Chuze fitness on the east side. I’m not sure why the Westside location Chuzes to keep their equipment dirty especially the hydro massage but I’ll be going to the east side location because of this. Someone needs to talk to management about lack of cleanliness at this location.

I work out at the Chuze at the Indian School location it has been a blast for me!! At times very busy. Kinda got to check around for equipment opening. But besides that i enjoy it !!

I am giving this 2 stars because the staff was friendly. I had a 7 day trial membership. I had to use the app on my phone to open doors. The problem with that is the app does not work to open doors.I went primarily to use the pool q h Ile I was in from out of town. I had to carry my phone into the pool area. Needless to say when I was getting my towel and flip-flops my phone fell and the screen cracked. My phone should have been safely tucked away in a locker.
