This is Darren my papa was a great man 22 years in airforce and was in Vietnam then retired from air force an civil service in 2001 my papa has been my rock since a kid I love him so much he passed at 80 on July 8 2019 I cant believe its been 2 days since he has been gone but Im thankful for this funeral as they have takin care of my papa and family at this difficult time

I have to say that Ive found Poteat Funeral Home in Albany Ga to very professional, compassionate, gentle, and kind under Jeff Wakefield. I had sad task of burying of my dad who at the time of death resided in Connecticut. Mr. Wakefield along with DuPONT funeral home of Bristol Ct handled all the details thoroughly of making the burial go smoothly. He (Jeff) was there to answer any questions I had if he was available and when he wasnt he returned my phone calls quickly. When I arrived in Georgia to view my fathers remains my mom and I was very pleased in how they presented my father. Mr. Wakefield continued to very to be attentive to our needs due to some unforseen last minute changes that occurred. Before I end this review I have to mention Reverend Tamorris Baulkman (I pray that I have his name right) of Poteat who takes his wonderful calling to ministry very seriously in taking care of all the major and minor details during the funeral service itself. Even though this was a painful thing to go through but however its great to know that there are fine people like Jeff Wakefield and Reverend Tamorris Baulkman to make this daunting process easier. I pray that I dont have to ever use them again but if the need arises I can count on and trust them 100% to do the job. I do know that they are other people in the Poteat organization behind the scenes that helped to make this happen and I tip my hat to them also. In parting Poteat Funeral Home in Albany Georgia truly deserves a six star rating!!! Would use I them again? The answer would be a resounding yes, yes and yes!!!!
