They do not answer the phone. Nor do they pick up people on time.

I called them at 7:23 am....they said it would be 10, 15 mins...well...they still have not showed up and its over an hour. 😡 I did call to check up the taxi..they said soon..and it still no show.What this translated into...I lost a hundred dollars. My car was in the shop. I substitute at a local school...I lost a $100 pay day because of this. 😡

Overall great experience. I waited no more than 5 minutes for my pick up, and was delivered promptly to my destination. Price for the service is fair, and the cab itself is clean and spacious. The driver was kind and respectful, I highly recommend them

Captain City cab company is very rude they were suppose to come get me for my doctors appointment never showed up and every time that I called to see if they were still coming to get me they ignored my calls or hung up on me. Thank you sincerely Jazmine Brink have a nice day.

I usually take the bus to work, but when I know I will be late, I call Capital City Taxi. They arrive quick! They honor the ETA they give me. They always get me to work on time! The drivers are always kind and pleasant. You can even schedule a pick up for a later time. This is the best cab company in Albany!

I wish I can give it 0 star if there is one. I called the number on this page to reserve pick-up for my flight next morning at 5:00 so that I can get to airport by 5:15 and catch my international flight which will board at 5:44. I called in, the guy confirmed, and gave me another number asking me to send my address information to that number. I did as instructed, and ask the number to send a confirmation message once he receive my message. And I got confirmation. Everything went well so far. Next day I waited until 5:03, no body showed up. I sent a message asking are you on the way?, waited for another three minutes, nobody responded. I called the number, and the guy checked my address, my pick-up time and everything, which took another five minutes, and then told me THE COORDINATOR DID NOT TELL HIM ABOUT MY RESERVATION! He can probably come in another 15 minutes, so earliest time 5:25 which is way too late. This is just ridiculous!!! I had to rush to get my own car at this point and drive to the airport and chose long term parking. Will have to pay big bucks for my parking but I least I get there in time. Imagine what will happen if I do not have access to other options! This is just TERRIBLE experience!

This was my first time in Albany and after calling another cab company and being handled very rudely, I decided to call Capital City Taxi. They were not only pleasant but arrived very fast. My driver was courteous and made sure that I arrived at the bus station on time. It was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

I came to Albany with my group from New York City for training in the week of Feb. 2nd. We had a fantastic visit despite the heavy snow. Capital City Taxi’s service played a major role to our wonderful experience in Albany. Its service is very reliable and trust-worthy.This is our very first trip to Albany and we had no clue about the directions. We were lucky that we found Capital City from Google in the late afternoon. After my initial call, the taxi driver came quickly and dropped us at our hotel. The gentleman was very very nice and courteous. Most importantly, he drove very safely during snowing hours on the road. We decided to reserve his service for the rest of our days in Albany. He never failed to arrive on time, very punctual. He even gave us a reminding call 10 minutes before his arrival so we could be ready to get to our campus on time. The van he drives is very clean and comfortable.Our group will be back again for training in early March and we definitely hope his service will be available for us. Capital City really provides the best service. We rarely see this high quality of service and professionalism in New York City. Highly recommend Capital City Taxi.

I reserved a round ride for Capital City Taxi on 10/31. When I arrived at the greyhound station in Albany today (11/4), the nice gentleman was already waiting for me. Had a job interview and had to get from Albany to Rensselaer in the middle of the hottest day of the Summer. The driver was there in 15 minutes as he said hed be and got me there in plenty of time. Real nice guy, too! He also came and got me about 2.5 hours later after the interview was complete. Would highly recommend and will definitely use Capital City Taxi again!

Ordered a cab, and they said it would be at my apartment in 15 minutes, I called 30 minutes later due to no cab showing up, he said he would call the driver and get back to me. After an hour of waiting I called yet again multiple times and only got voicemail. The cab never came, terrible service.

Ordered a cab the night before to go to the airport the next morning. They promised to show up at 610am. At 615, when they still werent there, I called them but no one picked up. I panicked but thankfully Uber just arrived to Albany and I was able to set up a ride quickly, and way cheaper. This is no way to do business.

These guys saved the day for a broken down truck driver. They were patient and courteous all the way around. Cant say the same for the repair shop but hey, it is what it is.

I called an hour ahead to make sure they would be able to pick me up. I was told it would be no problem. Taxi calls me 5 minutes before they are suppose to be here and say they cant come because they dont have enough cabs. So why was I told it would be no problem? Now Im standing here stranded in the rain and Im going to miss my appointment. I am beyond livid at this point. I will never use this service again and highly recommend that no one else does either. Unless you enjoy being stranded.

After several poor experiences with other cab services in Albany, we stumbled upon Capital City Taxi on Google and thought wed give them a try. They were great each step of the pricess, from the dispatcher to the friendly driver who arrived a few minutes early and told us to take our time. Highly recommend!

Terrible service. Completely unreliable. You can call them and theyll get you in 10 minutes which could mean 30 minutes or never...Like all cabs in this town they have terrible customer service and will just try and rip you off. Youre better off walking or driving drunk rather than trying to get a fair, honest ride home

Capital City Taxi took me from my school at UAlbany to Troy. It was a great experience. This service has clean cars, good customer service. We get there on time, no driving around to other locations - I have used them in the past as well. I have never had a bad experience and would highly recommend them. I like them better than Capitaland.

My mom and I were headed to the Albany Amtrak station from Oneonta and just past the 90/87 junction, my moms car broke down on the side of the highway. Terrified that I would miss my train (my mom had AAA so help was on the way for her car), I started calling each cab company listed on my Google search. Nobody was answering, until I called capital city, who arrived to pick me up in less than 15 minutes. They were quick, polite and helped me with my 50 lb backpackers pack when I got out. So many times I call companies for cabs and they take forever to show up. This time I did not have the extra time to spare and capital city cab really came through for me!

Tryed to book a pre-pickup for elderly relative, they emailed me back no problem we can do that . went to call next day to schedule it, no one answers phone or confirmation email. Poor customer service, trying to Not use big ride/ companies but Uber or lift next time. These small companies arnt staying in business with customer service like this.

Worst experience ever. Dont use this cab having mobile number with 2273. I almost missed my flight because the driver didnt show up at dawn!!! Even though I texted him twice in advance to confirm the schedule, he said Okay but didnt show up!! Thanks to AA taxi, I could get my flight. He is my lifetime saver!!

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! Absolutely unacceptable! I took a taxi for 4.2 miles with no traffic and they told me it would be $20 after I had already arrived which is too high high but I took the cab and so I couldnt just not pay them. I pulled out my card and the driver started yelling at me saying I had to go use an ATM. After I told him no, he didnt even have anything to swipe the card and I he took my card number, exp date, and security code (I will be getting a new card immediately)! Then, after I left and was on my way, I checked my bank app and they had charged my card $35! This is completely unacceptable and this company should be reported for fraudulent charges! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!

I got the same nightmare as the most recent review reported three month ago by Wang. I didnt read that review but misled by the overall rating 3.8 which was good. My flight was 6:30 am which connected to another international flight in Chicago. I ordered the 4:30 am cab service two days ago and reconfirmed the evening before flight. No cab showed up and no phone calls. I called the number listed in the web and no answer. It was a freezing day and I had to wake up my friend 4:50 am, drove my own car to airport and asked him to drive it back.Reliability is #1 requirement for cab service and it was so risky and scary not to have the service performed as promised, especially early morning which very hard to find backup plan. I dont think anyone would try again as two horrible incidents happened in three months.

Where to start off... I had just gotten off from the Albany-Rensselaer Station & I needed to get to my hotel which was in Latham, NY. The cabs at the station were $40. Under horrible circumstances I did not have enough & I decided to walk from the station to Latham, (which mind you, it is a 4 hour walk & it was so cold, youd catch hypothermia, okay maybe Im being extra but thats how it felt lol) after 2 hours of walking passed by, I couldnt handle it anymore. I decided to call Capital City Taxi & the guy who answered was really sweet, he said that hed picked me up in 10min & that he got me. Once the driver arrived, out of the bat, he was really kind, he was also worried for me because he couldnt believe that I was walking so much. I asked how much the fare is & it was over the amount I had & I felt so bad, so I asked him once my limit comes up, he can drop me off wherever. Instantly, he said no, theres no way Ill drop you off in the middle of the road in the cold. I was shocked because that was one of the sweetest things a taxi driver could & he took me to my hotel, safe & sound. SO I RECOMMEND THIS TAXI SERVICE TO EVERYONE!! Theyre amazing people & god bless them!

I will not pick this Taxi company ever again. No METER, No servers, car is super mess. 5 mi, 7 mins ride from 1300 central ave to Albany airport charged $25. Just me no other person and no baggage with me at all.

They are the worst company ever!! I needed them to come pick me up & take me to my new place (1.2 miles) on a Friday night, and they kept hanging up on me! They said they dont help move (I had some large bags) on Friday nights & to call back during a weekday! They completely left a girl stranded out alone at night just because their freaking driver is too lazy on Fridays!

My friends and I called the taxi for 6 people and he gave us an estimate. When he dropped us off, he then changed the price for the ride after using his phone for most of the ride there. Then, when he picked us up later that night, he showed up with other passengers and there werent enough seats for everyone but he still charged us for every person even if they sat on the ground. TERRIBLE COMPANYAlso, in another ride with this company, the taxi showed up without seatbelts. They had all been removed despite the sign clearly posted, Seatbelts must be available for your use.
