I will definitely be returning! This was my first time getting my nails done here and I love them! I came in as a walk in and didn’t even wait 5 minutes and she sat me down. I originally just picked a normal polish and then we found a gel polish in the same color, then she suggested the little pumpkin! Perfect for the fall and I love the vibes. Everyone is super friendly and very sweet.

Under new management and absolutely awesome! Posts from a month ago...dont pay attention to. The ones that own it now have only been here 3 weeks! Now its very clean and friendly environment! Any design Ive brought to them has been no problem to free hand! Awesome work and would recommend to anyone! Dont mind my dry hands!

I have been to this location twice and dont plan on returning, it has been one week and my nails are already chipping and peeling. I know gel polish doesnt last forever but should last more than a week.

My mom and I came and got our nails done over the weekend, and upon arrival the owner sat us down and automatically started quickly grinding my nails, and then my moms, while still standing , and then put our hands in bowls to soak. He then went back to the client he was helping when we arrived. I was fine with that because I knew our hands needed to soak off our dip powder.He then came back and started doing my nails in a SERIOUS RUSH, while severely sick, coughing into the air and his hands while working on my nails- with no courtesy for me or others in the salon. Now I am beginning to get sick at home with a 3 month old, even though I used a ton of hand sanitizer while there. Continuing about my nails, he started doing my dip powder and kept randomly getting up unannounced to go work on his original client. He then went on to start on my moms nails, he was doing three peoples nails at once! The original client ended up leaving because he wasnt honoring the time crunch she was in. In summary, my nails look awful and uneven/chunky, and my moms have already broken. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

I went in to get nails for prom and I had a picture I wanted to show for inspiration, but was not allowed to show it. They were MATTE dark navy blue nails with a gold nail on the ring finger. I came home with very uneven nails that are sparkly blue and the polish does not reach the edges at all. It was very rushed and there were only three other people there. Also the blue I got is not even a navy blue so it does not match my dress at all. I will not be returning any time soon. Down below are the first picture being the nails I wanted to get and were not allowed to show the Nail tech and then the nails I got.

I went and got my nails done here last week and I would NEVER recommend this place. First I got a pedicure with gel polish. This was the worst, most lazy pedicure I’ve ever seen done. Didn’t cut my toe nails, didn’t even the shape out, didn’t even file my feet & let me tell you that this was my first pedicure in over 6 months so honey they needed it. Then I go on to get a gel polish an tips on my nails. The guy that did my nails made me bleed around my nails on 4 different places. I wanted the coffin shape and literally every single nail was a different shape, crooked, and different length. He was so rude and rough the entire time. I would never come back here. I suggest if you’re looking for somewhere, go literally anywhere else but here. Worst +$100 I ever spent on a mani pedi.

This is 100% the worst salon I’ve ever been to. My nails were never nicely shaped, everyone was extremely rude and he kept cutting my nails without asking. Gel was peeling within a few days and when I got them it already looked like I needed a fill. What a waste of money and time

Nails were uneven. Polish was sloppy and the nail tech left polish on my hands. There are lumps in the polish and the coating is unevenly colored. I do not recommend this place to anyone

My nail salon was closed & i Had to get my nails done for my birthday so i went here! ...I first made an appointment, got lost and was running a FEW MINUTES late so i called to let them know (they said it was fine and gave me directions to get there). when i arrived they only had 3 ppl working; two of them were working on one lady and the third guy had JUST seated a walk in... so i had to wait 40 minutes :) ....then i picked my colors, one of them was a really opaque glitter pink. She put two coats of it on & then the top coat & said i was done...i could still see my nail bed ... it wasnt what i picked on the color chart they gave me so i spoke up . You know what she said??? “ I dont know what to tell you the polish ran out.” Like you couldnt say that earlier so i couldve picked a different color? lol. No but instead she was gonna let me leave w half done nails...anyway , two nails chipped the night i got them done which was surprising cause i can make my nails last up to a month. never had them chip so easily and it’s cause she didnt even coat my nails properly. It’s been a week at this point and my nails are horribly chipped, my nails are breaking and snagging on everything. A complete waste of money and time. Overall not a great experience. Would not recommend and if you do decide to come here, dont bother making an appointment, you’ll wait either way.

Cynthia did an amazing job on my nails. Me and my daughter drove 45 minutes just to go to Ruby Nail Shop. Both of us left happy and content. Worth the drive for sure, will 100% be heading back again.

Very sloppy work

I just got my nails done and honestly Im disappointed. the guy was very rough with my hands and tore some skin off of my thumb. asked me how long I wanted them and turned around and gave me long nails. he didnt wipe out or clean his station after his client before me and took a phone call while doing my nails. the guy just slapped them on me and I had to pay 53 dollars for the service when a full set is 30 and the shaping was five dollars. it was not worth the time money or pain I had to go through. I wont be returning any time soon. eagle nails in the lakemore plaza is better and more caring. Im afraid of getting an infection I still have the receipt and took pictures so if anything happens I will be sueing. I had a horrible experience and want a refund.

This place is my favorite in allAkron location /Ellet / anywhere here in Ohio the nails they always look beautiful I’ve been coming here for awhile I was pregnant, And they would let me sit with my oldest on my lap Greeted her & treated here very well...NOW that she is older and I’m not pregnant we get to run off an have girls day & took her for the 1st time ever at This nail salon for a tripAnd she had a blast getting her nails and toes done an they treated us like family and I’ll definitely be coming back ever 2-3 weeks

Ok its taken me 24hrs to get my thoughts together to make this post. Yesterday I went and got a full new set. Which is normally $35 plus whatever else you may add. Back in Jan I got a new full set of stiletto nails that were long and they charged me $35 plus an additional $20 to put add a design with lines. I was perfectly fine with. Yesterday I got long coffin with powered ombre effects. When I asked my nail tech if the additional effects would cost me more he said no Im not going to charge you. I responded with it Will just go towards your tip lol. I was there a little over an hour which is normal for me. In that time my nail tech took three personal breaks which was fine with me. As I was going to check out my nail tech wrote down that I was to pay $65 when I got to the counter the owner told me I owed $90. When I asked why he said bcz of the time n how long it took. My nail tech did not step in and say anything. Things like this is why business lose clients. It saddens me to say I will not be returning to your facility. I was treated unfairly and was over charged. Even after me asking before he did the effects if they would cost bcz I wouldnt have had them done. Thats why I asked about prices before hand. I went in with a certain amount to spend bcz I have visited this salon frequently and I know their prices and charges. I do not recommend ruby nails. They are not fair when it comes to pricing and communication. I paid $120 for a $65 set of nails.

I wanted gel but was told I had to go with dip powder due to tips I needed to fix broken nails. Powder was WAY to thick and bumpy (not smoothed out). Prices were reasonable, but you should get what you pay for.

It was ok, didnt do my acrylics real well and they cant do nail art.

The girls who took turns doing my pedicures do not have a cosmetology license and did such a horrible job on my nails - I could’ve done them better- this is illegal to have just someone off the street who used to answer phones now do professional pedicures. Will definitely never go back to that.

The only salon Ive consistently gone to! They always do a good job, have time to take my walk ins (but like..make sure you call ahead just to check!), have a bomb playlist, and nice and friendly staff. Heres my dip manicure from last week.

This was our second visit to ST Nails for dipping. First time lasted a month and my nails were stronger than ever before. Very friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely go back again.

Went to Ruby nails with my cousin never been there before I usually go to legacy nails in tallmadge but at Ruby nails I just got French tips and my cousin got designs but less than 5 days I started to Nina fill and they all my nails fell off except for my thumbnails so at least that legacy nails I dont have to worry about a fill for like two weeks I dont think Ill be visiting Ruby nails again

I’m not sure how my 5 star review (originally from 2016!) of the PREVIOUS nail salon at this location is showing up on Ruby Nails, but my 5 stars are for NK. They moved to Tallmadge circle and are AWESOME! Can’t speak for Ruby Nails, never been.

Absolutely THE BEST nail salon around! I have been getting my nails done over 20 years and have tried many salons. I wont go anyplace else! My nails never lift and always look phenomenal. The creative art and nail designs are better than anything I have seen. Highly recommend!

Im not sure where Cynthia has gone??But the people in there got an attitude because I came back due to cracking of the gel polish! It had only been a week so of course they offered to fix just the thumb nails?? I wasnt able to do that day so I came back three days later as soon as I could now hes angry and said you waited to long to get fixed. (This Tuesday would have been two weeks)but he re-did the work and said next time you come I dont want you for a customer. Go to him! Points to manager.I wasnt t trying to get over on anyone I had been going there for over a year and on an average of 100$ per every five weeks wouldnt you want them to make it right? It was a very intense situation. On top of all that... the place wasnt keeping up with the covid 19 protocol with the exception of wearing a mask. I will not be going back.

This was the absolute worst solon i’ve ever been to. the technicians were rude. talking ab me right in front of my face & then questioning me ab how i do my own nails. not to mention that the technician burned me twice, pushed my cuticles up with her OWN nails after the dip powder was already placed & filed. took her 2.5 hours to do a silver sparkle polish & after i asked twice if she could make my nails shorter, she ignored me! will NOT be coming back!

I will never go back there for their service. My nails are horrible. I came in wanting a style Ive never gotten.. I repeatedly told her I did not like this nail.. and this nail... and so on. And she just tried to fix her mistake but was making it worse. I paid damn near $40. I was better off doing it myself. They are impatient, they rush their work.

Customer service is horrible. My nails are fine but when the techs are rude I dont really care that they can polish nails. When I went to sign my credit card receipt she actually threw the pen at me. Wont we back to this place!

My daughters and myself went here. My one daughters nails all lifted, had to go somewhere else to get them fixed, which included 6 replacements. My other daughter ended up with mold under hers. She even had to go back the same day because the polish was so bad. I feel they rushed us and dismissed my daughters because they are teenagers. My daughters paid for their own services. Very unhappy with the service here.

AWFUL!!!! Went for pedicure upon a co-workers recommendation. Sloppy job, total waste of my hard earned money. Now I have to go to another salon to get them redone.The only positive, is that they line the foot tub with disposable plastic and sanitize the instruments.

Ive been getting my nails done for almost 5 years now and this has been the only place that I actually left a good tip!

Okay so Ive been going here for about a month? I believe and I needed a brand new set, (coffin nails , mid-length.) So I get the new set and this was after Christmas. So I get them, & leave. About 4 days later Im at work ( as a server) and Im just opening a cardboard box and two of my nails snap, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE. Now, it didnt hurt at all, when they broke. So I was like wow... I have had long acrylic nails for 2 years and Ive never broke a nail. So I call up and she schedules me and fixes them. No charge. Now she keeps telling me to be careful which yes! I understand dont go out and be super rough or yes they will break! So I leave, and 2 days later another breaks ( my pinky) I glue the tip back on. Like I dont have time to keep getting them fixed. It should not be happening! So a day goes by my index finger snaps. Glue it back on. 3 days go by im opening the fridge, my OTHER index finger snaps. Glue it back on.. Im getting more and more mad as each day goes by and me having to watch EVERY move I make. So last night ( Jan 17th) Im opening a gift I got from my co worker and Im sliding my thumb nail in to grip the cardboard clasp of the box and before i even have a good grip I watch it snap! Once again, this didnt hurt at all! None of the nails I broke hurt, because they literally just snapped right down the middle. So I get so mad, I start cutting them. ( Super short!) So I call up NK nails and Im like I want my money back Im explaining how upset I am and just saying how I want my money back and explain how many nails have broke. So she is like nonono. Please come in I fix for you, and everything. How it will be FREE. she keeps going on about I tell you , you have to be careful. Yes, I understand but Ive had long acrylics for 2 years! Im so used to them but I dont push them to their breaking point! And Im sure all the girls know out their when you stub one , OH HOW BAD THAT HURTS! yet, Ive done that so many times, and NONE have ever ever broke. Also to add in, while I was cutting them, (nail clippers) the acrylic is just disinteresting!! Like the corners and everything! Im like what the heck is going on!? So I get off work today and head in. I wait from 3:30 to 4. When she finally is free to get me started. She explains how I can have gel and she will give me a discount and how Ill only have to pay $25 dollars. Now in my mind Im like... IM NOT PAYING ANYMORE money until I know they wont break in 3 days! So I dont say anything Im just sitting their in silence.. Im like you know I dont want you to do anything and she keeps rambling on and Im not having it. So Im like no, its okay Im just done and said goodbye and left. I was so upset.. and its just like really?? After all I have went through, and it sucks because she was super sweet and kind! But Im not nieve or dumb. Im not a nail tech but I know when something is not right! And something is not right at NK Nails. !!
