So friendly and comfortable! I made an appointment and had no wait time at all. My nails were so sore due to the previous place drilling them down too thin and they made sure to handle my nails with such care and to accommodate the sensitivity. My nails turned out beautiful for a wedding I’m this weekend- I’ve never been a nail girl but this place just might change that!

🗣🗣I love my nails💅🏾💅🏾. I walked in with duck feet shaped nails from another nail salon with terrible acrylic application. I really was about to give up on wearing nails but the ladies at the salon made me feel welcomed and listened to my concerns and fixed them. Carrie did an amazing job on them. I highly recommend 💯

I had an AWFUL experience when I went to Rose Nails just right down the street from this beautiful salon. Literally the exact opposite of the experience I had today at Carries. I really wanted to like this place. I moved to Akron recently and had to find a new salon. I was really excited to finally get my nails done after all the holiday and moving craziness. The girl who did my nails was very nice, but thats about as far as that goes. I was running about 3 minutes late and felt bad, but then upon arriving, there was some confusion as to if we had appointments or not. After we figured out that we DID in fact have appointments, I had asked about the dip selection. Carrie said they had only recently started offering dip service, so there was a limited selection. Kind of a bummer, but I can make due. I was shown where the dips were, but they didnt really have any samples. I was then shown by Carrie what station I would be at. I picked my color and sat down. I was sitting at an empty station until about 5pm when the appointment was for 4:30. The girl came out to apologize saying she had to eat, which again, okay. I appreciate her being honest and understand it gets a little crazy, but it was a little upsetting to just be waiting before with no explanation and feeling like they forgot about me. As we go through removing the old dip, she told me dips really arent something she likes, which is not something I would expect to hear if that is what Im getting done. She also explained everyone there, including herself, are still learning the dips. The overall product i think shows that. There were gaps in the color along the edges of the nail. I also had cuts along my cuticle that were extremely sensitive for a few days. I felt if they werent confident in the service they are offering, it would be better to wait on offering it. They said its been offered for about a year, so it was just a really disappointing experience. Given that my nails were done 15 minutes after closing, I was ready to leave. The biggest surprise to me was that the nail tech took a finished picture (I assume for the portfolio) of my nails after. The way the color lays, it looks like my nails have three different shapes. I attached pictures for reference. If I still did acrylics, I might be open to visiting again, but this just did not work for me.

The WORST nail salon I have ever visited. I ended up leaving as over an hour had past and no one knew where my technician was. I called to complain and to receive the $15 I paid to hold the appointment but the girl on the phone (she refused to give me her name) and the manager (also no name) were completely unhelpful and rude. They also texted me on my personal cell number complaining about my mannerism. Please be careful with this salon and your personal information as they use it for unprofessional communication. I am hoping this review helps this small business so they can grow into a professional establishment.

I came in for a full set appointment. Waited 30 mins to be seated. Whatever...it happens . Couldn’t tell you the girls name but she’s pretty new as she said she just graduated in 2019. I asked for medium coffin nails instead I got super short square,coffin, trash nails and some nails aren’t even polished fully. I was already tired from work and having to wait for an appointment and didn’t even realize how absolutely horrible they were till this morning. The shortness I could have dealt with. They will grow out but I didn’t even get the shape I wanted. I had to point out several spots on my nails where my nails had wings and were ready to fly away. I had a feeling I should have walked out when I smelled the typical acrylic smell. I feel bad because the girl was so sweet and it’s such a fun salon but I can’t deal with this mess for even a week. Just not my cup of tea.

I have been here a few times 2x times 1 nail fell off they nails themself looked great owner did fix the issue without hesitation place always has long wait unfortunately.

It’s a great atmosphere they’ll make you laugh and feel comfortable. And they do great work from eyebrows to lashes and don’t charge a arm and a damn leg. This is my new nail home and I’ve been going there ever since I’ve heard of them.

I don’t normally do reviews but l absolutely loved the service done here! My appointment time was at 12 and I was seen right away. I got a Smokey gel full set which turned out amazing! Carrie did a wonderful job especially since it was her first time doing a Smokey look. I got an amazing pedicure from Kim as well. Such an amazing experience everyone is so nice and funny. I had tons of laughs and an overall great time. 10/10 would recommend and when I come back to Ohio DEFINITELY making an appointment!!

Carrie and her employees are very hands on. The people who work here are very nice and considerate. They take pride in everything they do. Very friendly and make you feel as if youre with family while getting your nails or whatever you want done. Listen, Im not saying DONT go here or anything but Im hoping this isnt something they do whenever someone complains because they apparently like to text people its very unprofessional and upsetting...I also find it troubling that every negative review about this place gets met with the owner insuating that the customer is lying or that the event didnt happen. Its grossly disappointing. Theyre making it very clear that they cannot and will not except criticism and only want to be talked about positively but wont change the things that turn people away.Theres a pattern here of unprofessionalism. My entire interaction with this place has been absolutely horrid. And the claim that I didnt not receive text messages from this place that were NOT AT ALL necessary or about my appointment is shocking since in the text the person said they were the owner. I can post them if need be. Its a simple fix of training your employees to be professional when someone is trying to pay for a service. What a shame.

They focus on quality over quantity. They have good prices and build genuine relationships with each costumer. Love this place!

I got in at my appt time the staff was very friendly and they did great at accommodating me for a same day even with this pandemic and it being a Saturday. Go to carries all the time! My go to for nails! Like a one stop shop, get a fill, a pedi, my eye brows done and my lashes! Very clean, affordable and beautiful environment! Went to Carries for the first time this week. Hope did my nails and did a phenomenal job. The place looked awesome, everyone was welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Nails (gel) were not smooth, tips were not even. The did not even remove all the old polish around the edges of my real nail. Pedicure polish was chipping after 3 days. My feet were only in the water a couple minutes so they didnt even soak. The girls ere nice but young and lacked experience (from my understanding the owner does good work but she was not there). I called the next day to speak to the owner about getting 2 of my nails smoothed out and the woman who answered was super rude and unprofessional. Do not recommend

I am so happy! I have finally found a salon near home that I love! It was the best pedicure that I have ever received. Everyone is extremely nice, and the atmosphere is amazing! I think my favorite part is that they offer a diabetics pedicure that doesnt use the harsh tools that could cause infections in someones foot. Nice job everyone!

This salon is beautiful. The owner is super sweet and someone who is very easy to talk to! All of the employees are very nice and understanding if you don’t like something. I love my nails again!! Not a good picture and time management should be considered ( both times I went in I was seen right away but it took 2 hours). The owner is awesome. I got my nails done and i love them,but unfortunately i will not be going back. They were 70$ not including the tip and I was in the shop for 5 hours, 2 waiting and 3 actually getting my nails done. After i was done the owner told the girl doing my nails to charge me full price and to make sure she charges me for everything, she said that they always under charge people. Which i felt was super rude and unnecessary to say in front of me. Personally i did not have a good experience there and i probably wont go back.

Today would have been my 31st wedding anniversary. My husband passed away 25 years ago. So after working all day I decided I wanted to go get my nails redone.Today I was lucky enough to have Carrie Do my nails tonight. OMG she did a phenomenal job.She asked me to pick my color and I told her no she got to choose my color tonight.She said really and she asked me what my favorite color was.I was completely blown away with what she did with my nails.I cant thank her enough for what she did they look absolutely stunning.In my book this is a 5 star establishment!!!

The first visit I had before quarantine was great. My nails looked great and they stayed on for over a month. My last visit on May 28th was terrible. I made am appointment for 1pm I was told to come I get there and am told there was a miscommunication with people that came in before me. It was a group of four...I waited for three hours to get my nails done. The owner did my nails amd discounted the cost. 13 days later not one but four of my nails come off two of the same fingers on each hand. I emailed the owner she in other words called me a lier and said things like that dont happen in her salon. Well maam they do and I was super nice about it but she refused to believe it was the truth. She didnt offer to fix them and just kept saying it didnt make sense and didnt happen in her salon with other clients.

The owner (Carrie) is such a wonderful woman. She did my nails just yesterday, and every single one of my nails are flawless. There’s not one mistake. I’m constantly admiring my nails. They look so beautiful. Tbh, at this point I wouldn’t have cared if they were 100$ for a full set Bc this woman clearly knows what she’s doing and takes pride in her work. I live way outta the way from where she’s located. And again, will never go anywhere else. It’s very hard to find a decent nail tech around here. Yesterday I found mine. I hiiiighly recommend this nail shop. The atmosphere is super comfy and laid back and everyone there enjoys their time doing what they love. The place is clean and well kept and super cute. The staff is super friendly and she seems to have a great bunch of employees to represent her shop. Very professional, knowledgeable, and just all around great experience for me. I suggest making an appointment, as so I did and didn’t wait no more than ten mins. They do super awesome work and bring a lot of business Bc of the quality. I felt comfortable and relaxed and didn’t realize how quick my time there flew by. We had a lot of fun while she detailed every one of my nails and took her time. All her time was focused on me. Her prices are on point and you definitely get what you are paying for. Don’t leave this shop without tipping this woman Bc she deserves wayyyy more than what she charges!! 5 stars. No doubt.❤️❤️ Make sure to tip. ❤️ ❤️❤️

The nail quality is very good. But wait times are ridiculous even if you make an appointment.I didnt ask you to skip anyone. All I wanted was a time estimate but you decided to make me the bad guy.

Would never go to another place sense my visit upon opening they have went far and beyond to please me and me to leave Carries Nail nook satisfied and smiling! I always refer Carries !!

If your a walk in be prepared to wait a long time. This was the first time there, been getting my nails done for years but needed a new place to go went there did an okay job had a wonderful selection of gel polishes even getting my nails done took forever two weeks later my nails started popping off Ive never had a nail pop off on me ever before, not very satisfied with the application of nails I think they forgot a step and thats why my nails all popped off. I can usually wear acrylics up to four to five weeks before they start lifting. Wont be returning.

I am in love with this nail salon,I have never been more satisfied with my nails (got a full set, and a signature pedi) they have come out to the T of what I asked for. This is the best nail salon I have ever been too. The atmosphere is so pleasant as soon as you walk in, it’s very welcoming, decorated nicely, and an overall chill vibe. I took my daughter there to have her nails done theyre very friendly listen to what she had to say and her nails came out perfectly theyre really nice they called him so they last longer and I dont really see any flaws and the prices are fantastic
