I would recommend Billy and his team to anyone. They were always very kind, responsive and professional. I was in the area temporarily for work and was able to rely on Fox and Hound to find me short and long term options that suited my familys needs. It was a great experience that allowed us to enjoy all Aiken has to offer.

I have worked with Billy for 8 years as a owner for several rental properties. He is as reliable and honest as they come. I would take some of the reviews listed with a grain of salt. I have had tenants actually tell us they appreciated how responsive and fair Billy is to work with. I would highly recommend him

I would give Billy Benton a 6 star if it were possible. I have lived in Aiken for 20 yrs and the people leaving one star reviews would, if given a million dollars in a paper bag; complain about the bag. I leased a condo from Billy and NEVER did I have a problem that was not addressed the same day. Thats a renters dream.Billy is always friendly on the phone and very fair if any issues arise. He is a classy guy and is successful as he takes care of his clients.People are quick to complain, and slow to praise. I do not know Billy Benton beyond my dealings with Fox and Hound but I would truly dismiss these 1 star ratings- if I did not buy a home, I would only lease from Fox and Hound.Greg Sharp

Billy and his team at Fox and Hound handled my rental (a small horse property in Aiken) for the past 7 years. They handled EVERYTHING so I never even had to come to town to check on my property during those entire 7 years! And a huge benefit of working with them were the really great prices they negotiated for maintenance. They even got work done on a weekend or on the same day when other companies would have charged emergency prices. They send out itemized monthly accounting statements along with receipts for work performed and also send end of year statements which made it very easy for me to do my taxes. Plus they always answered the phone at their office-I never once had to leave a VM. And when it came time to sell my property they worked well with my realtor to give her access to the property. I highly recommend the guys at Fox and Hound!

Fox and Hound Realty helped us find a wonderful rental for a good price and made the process very easy for someone who was moving in from out of town. I highly recommend them!

The people at Fox and Hound were very quick to respond to any and all problems that I had at the townhome that I rented. One day my heat went out on a Sunday. They had a repairman there to fix the issue the same day. Yes, they did keep some of my deposit for cleaning; however the charge was modest ($120).

They are foxes alright. Only interested in making money and doing very little work.

I rented our home from fox and hound for two years. I tried to never bother them despite the fact that they didnt follow through on promises that they made when we moved in, like not setting up the water line to go to the refrigerator. I think that I only called them out twice. I was never late on a payment. When it was time to move out, I hired a cleaning company that spent 3 days in the house to ensure I would get my deposit back. I even got my husband who is a professional painter to touch up spots where we had nail holes. A few days after leaving, I received a rude message from the owner telling me to fill holes in the yard with dirt or he would deduct it from my security deposit. We did and then never heard anything else, 26 days after moving out, i asked if my deposit had been mailed to me. In response, they sent a ridiculous summary where they charged me THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS for yard cleanup which I asssume was filling the holes (that we filled) with dirt that was three dollars a bag!!!!!! Also they charged me for paint in every room and light bulbs for every light (even though they all had lights already) They are a COMPLETELY DISHONEST BUSINESS. If i was not going to receive my deposit anyway, why in the world would he instruct me to go fill holes? Then charge me for filling the holes THAT WE FILLED. He never mentioned the fact that he had already ran up 900 dollars in paint and lightbulbs to ensure that i would not receive my deposit. Save your money and time, do not bother cleaning or helping them in any way when you move out because I ASSURE YOU THEY WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR DEPOSIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After reading this review the owner left a voicemail threatening to sue me for 100 dollars ( which is what I assume I owe him for dirt and lightbulbs that my 900 dollars didn’t cover) if I failed to remove this HONEST review. Like I said don’t give this company a dime. Dishonest and now threatening!

Please avoid using this company if you are looking for someone to manage your rental property. I had to call them to find out why we had not received our rent payment (they should have noticed before I had to call). When I brought it to their attention, they said they would leave a note on the door to evict the tenants for nonpayment. That same day, our friend (we were living out of town) went to check on the house, he said he saw the note on the door the Fox & Hound had left, but it was very obvious that it had been abandoned. By looking through the huge bay window in the front, he could tell there was no furniture and everyone moved out. He went to the back of the house and the back door was WIDE open. (Thank you to our friend, we should have cut him 10% of the rent instead of Fox & Hound). Whenever there was a maintenance issue, the tenants called us directly because they never received a response from Fox & Hound. They were so unorganized. I received several emails that were meant to go to someone else but came to me. When I voiced my frustration with them on the phone, the response I received was What would you like us to do about it? Umm... if I have to answer that for you, you shouldnt be in business. I was told that the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was replaced with a new one but when we moved back into the house, the ceiling fan was actually never replaced. When there was a septic issue, which was again brought to our attention by the tenant, I called Fox & Hound a week later to check on the status. The response I received was The company we called cant get there for a couple weeks, do you know of someone? I hung up, called Redline Septic (who I HIGHLY recommend) and it was fixed the next day.

Billy Benton is quite frankly a classic sleaze bag. He is rude, lazy and completely dishonest. We signed a lease on a large, high end property and he cancelled the deal by TEXT two hours later. Unprofessional to say the least. Steer clear of this loser.
