Got their online quote for intake manifold replacement and after going in person to confirm it and get an appointment, it was not accurate. Also, desk person was cordial but forgot I was still there in the waiting area waiting to be quoted. I had to ask for an update. It took over an hour to get an actual quote in person. Quote total came as high as dealership. Total of 1.5 hours wasted.Edit: The original review showed 2 stars. I have added 2 more stars because Scott Williams with Lex Brodies reached out and made a commitment to improve their online quoting process and to make sure staff is familiar with the online quoting system moving forward. I am confident future customers will see an improvement in this area.

Just had a substandard experience with Lex Brodie @ Aiea. Basically, mediocre mechanics that relies on ‘swaptronics’ mentality to repair issues: brought in my Volvo in with clanking-suspension issues. They immediately provided detailed diagnosis and recommended items to be replaced ($2.6k w/ labor) but can’t guarantee if it fixes issue.Having been an experienced Volvo owner of 2 SUVs for 13 yrs, I ask them to take a second look on the strut mounts/motor mounts (pic below) which was not what they recommended to fix, as these are common problems with Volvos due to their weights. They still stuck with their initial diagnosis, at this time I pulled the vehicle to get a second opinion.Fast forward the next day, I returned to speak with office manager and showed him the pic. Still stuck to their initial diagnosis, which clearly is the wrong one.Their process is straightforward and established, however I ask to get something fixed and they basically said lets replace this but we can’t guarantee it fixes your problem. So beware, if you ask them to repair a leak, they may recommend to change the headlights.UPDATE: 4 Aug 21 @ 1550hrs - appreciate the response from Mr Scott W, a Lex Brodie Tm Mbr and the offer to take a second look of the vehicle. Fortunately, I will be taking the vehicle to the dealer or Volvo Specialist to get it repaired.UPDATE: 20 Aug 21 - I rest my case, receipt from Volvo Specialist says it all, guaranteed fix first time. Not sure if Lex Brodie can better this deal, they charged me 3 hrs of labor $400 for taking pictures.

***WONDERFUL SERVICE*** The Lex Brodie’s in Aiea has terrific customer service, and they were so helpful to my family and I. My car had 2 blown tires on a Saturday late afternoon, and I had a really hard time finding a place that had my tire size and could fit me into their schedule to replace my tires. Even though I was calling at the end of the day, Lex Brodie’s answered my call and arranged for me to leave my car overnight and had my car ready by the next day. Chelsea at Lex Brodie’s was exceptionally helpful. I wish I could remember the name of the other lady who helped, but I highly recommend them if you want QUALITY work and EXCEPTIONAL service. I rarely write reviews but truly felt this was needed since I often go to reviews myself when trying to find a good mechanic or shop. Five stars! Mahalo to the great team at Lex Brodie’s!

Just cant say enough good things about this location. The staff is amazing and I am always 100% satisfied with the repair! I come in with squeaks n squeals and leave with a perfectly repaired car. I have taken 7 vehicles here over the years and even though I have moved further away, I will travel to get to this location for service. Excellent to say the least. Chelsea is AWESOME. I have never seen such a great employee like her. Give that girl a raise. She is so good with all the customers and always is professional and friendly. Love her! We had such a great experience with Lex Brodies in Aiea. Moving to the island with the military can be extremely busy and stressful. I brought my car to Lex Brodies after being turned away by 4 other auto shops in the area and they took great care of me, got me squared away with the safety inspection/registration and were so kind and helpful the entire time. He took me out of the problem and into solutions. I went in there crying and he treated me with a compassionate smile. This big guy was so kind. Needed 4 new tires, called to see if they had my size for Hyundai Tucson 2016...Charley was so helpful and friendly!! Really enjoyed meeting her, brought my car in and within a couple of hours drove off a happy customer!

I took my 2006 Porsche Cayenne S for a checkup on the A/C; to take a look at the squeaky brakes; check my tire alignment; and do an annual safety inspection. The front receptionist was very friendly and no problems on dropping off and Ubering back to my house. To my surprise, my bill was only $112. The A/C system had no leaks, but refrigerant was added; the front rotors were a little worn, but no need to replace the brakes; my alignment was within specs; and safety inspection was complete. Bonus - my Uber ride was subtracted from my bill (up to $20 or $25, I cant remember). I normally take my vehicle to the Porsche dealership in any state that I am in. However, I usually have to pay around an average of $1500 for whatever maintenance they think I need. I finally just got sick and tired of paying exuberant maintenance prices. Repairpal.com is recommend by Consumer Reports magazine, so I used that website to find a trusted repair shop for my specific vehicle. It recommend Lex Brodies. All I can say is that I will from now on ALWAYS go to Lex Brodies for hopefully all my Porsche maintenance needs. What an outstanding and honest company. It obviously shows by all the great reviews and the Customers Bill of Rights - while waiting on my Uber, I read that large sign explaining Lex Brodies 10 reasons why you should go to them. I highly recommend you take the few minutes to read it - impressive!

The lady that helped me was so nice. I was having a rough day. The topper was picking up a nail with my tire. Lol, i was in the area so i went there to get it taken care of. Great service, very positive staff. Love you guys. I only buy my tires from them.

The technicians and crew did a wonderful job with my service. Prompt, fast, and thorough. My car had full brakes, rotor, battery, oil change, and alternator replaced, most of that comes with a lifetime warranty by the way!! I went from being stranded downtown one day to driving in my fixed car the next. I’m a college student and I was able to afford the service despite being broke af so ♥️✨👀 they even got rid of the funky sound that would happen when my car would be in drive with the A/C on, and I didn’t even see that on my bill. Needed to get a safety check and didnt have an appointment. Was told it would be done in 2 to 2 1/2 hours but they were able to finish in 1 hr 45 min. Its better to have an appointment, but Im glad I was able to be squeezed in. Fortunately, it was a weekday and the middle of the month!

Brought my truck for an inspection without an appointment. No problem, walk inside are welcome. No guarantee on how long you will have to wait but today I was lucky to only be there for 15 mins. Staff was friendly, seating area was clean, spectrum internet is available, and there is TV to watch as well. If you have to wait a while the mall isnt a far walk.

Went there to change tires - only a weeeeeee disappointed that I was quoted the service would be done in an hour to an hour and a half, but it was busy, so it took almost two. Not much of a biggie, but I hope next time theyd account for high work volume. There were maybe several or less than ten people ahead of me waiting in just the lobby lol. They redesigned it since last year, and its way better now for waiting around in if you dont go out to walk to local shops or the mall. Theres a complimentary coffee station and desks with outlets. They got done what I wanted done anyway. My tires seem alright; they do what new tires do. Nobody seemed to have 195/50 size tires on hand but them.

Im a first time customer. Ron of Perfect Auto Shine recommended this place. He noticed that my tires were starting to deteriorate and told me that they would take good care of me. Im glad I took his advice. Got 4 new Michelins at a great price with all available discounts and a rebate, an alignment check and the job was done in less than 2 hours. Ill be coming here from now on.

As usual A+ ! I usually drop in for air when my light goes on to Queen Street or Nimitz. Today I was at Pali Momi so I dropped in at Aiea for air. No problem! Fast and polite! I will be seeing them soon for an oil change!

This has been my go to for all car service everything. The service is always on point, everyone is always friendly and willing to help. Basic oil change, tire rotation, brake replacement, theyll do it all for reasonably priced and the turnover is usually the same day. Love these guys.

Took longer to get the part than expected, which they cant necessarily help. But had difficulty getting return calls and they somehow forgot I had dropped the car off. Thankfully I called the next day to find out what they found, but still lost a day on repairs. Very nice crew though.

Brought my Mini Cooper to the dealership and was given some ridiculous quote for tires and brakes. According to them my brakes are almost gone, I wont pass inspection, etc. I thanked them for their time and brought it here to Lex Brody for a second opinion and guess what? Turns out I dont need new brakes at all! They took the Mini in for a FREE brake check, lifted it and inspected it and told me my brakes are fine. Saved me $800 bucks.

My entire experience with this place was excellent. I called after setting up an appointment online and spoke with Chelsea. She was very helpful and directed me where to find my tire size and adjusted my appointment so I would receive the correct services when I arrived. She was sooo patient with me. When I got there the other front desk lady was just as helpful. She checked me in quickly and was very pleasant. When my car was ready the price was less than I expected!! Will definitely bring my car back if I have other tire issues.

I got tires and a brake job from lex bodies, they guarentee their work man ship . Took my daughter car to repair a nail in the tire, no charge! They even reminded me my tires over due for a rotation. I made an appointment here for my annual safety inspection. With the current Covid-19 restrictions the time estimated to complete this was 3-4 hours. Much to my surprise and delight it was finished in about an hour and a half. Gave enough time for a walk and a malasada. Ive been coming to Lex Brodie off and on for several years now. After a couple of poor experiences at other shops, Lex Brodie will get the bulk of my business from now on.

I just bought a 2005 Suzuki a couple days ago and took it here for new tires. I was stuck at work a little longer than I thought and made it to the shop 30 min before closing. They probably wanted to go home but were so friendly and helpful and put on the new tires for me as well as an alignment (which is perfect by the way). I also needed brake pads and rotors so I took the car in two days later and they paid for a rental car for me to use all day. My Suzuki didnt take that long, but I had to go to work so I needed a car the full day. She runs so smoothly now. I couldnt be happier with the service and maintenance. I feel very safe in my vehicle now and will be coming back to them as long as Im on the island.

On 10/19 brought my Honda accord in to have the brake pads/rotors changed and I had been experiencing issues with a very sensitive brake pedal. They did a test drives and thorough inspection of the brake system but found it was unnecessary to replace any parts. They mustve spent some time working on the car to resolve the issue but didnt charge me. The car now brakes safely and smoothly. My bill came out to $0 despite the time the mechanics spent and I will be back when it is actually time to have worn pads/rotors replaced. Thank you!

Excellent service

Took my vehicle here to get a safety inspection knowing that I would fail because of expired registration (due to COIVD). End up failing it because of registration, just as I knew I would, but no word of anything else wrong with the vehicle. I begin the process to obtain my registration via mail and it came in 3 weeks later. With a current registration in hand, I return to Lex Brodies to get my safety sticker. After about 10 minutes they call my name and tell me that I cannot zip tie my front license plate on and they would not give me my safety sticker until I get it bolted down. Furthermore, I ask why this was not explained to me three weeks ago when I came in originally. He continues to try telling me that an improperly mounted license plate means the same thing as registration ( I was extremely confused on how he came to that conclusion)....... Looking through the Hawaii Administrative Rules regarding safety inspections, these two items are not even in the same paragraphs or sub paragraphs. Also, the rules do not outline how a license plate is to be properly mounted (i.e. screws); only stating that it cannot be loosely or improperly mounted (so that it swings or can be removed without tools, my front license plate falls within these standards (it has passed before with no issues). Regardless, I would have fixed this discrepancy had Lex Brodies been up front and all of their inspectors on the same page, instead, I had to find out 3 weeks after the fact.

Had to wait 4 hours for a oil change, tire rotation and safety check. Which isn’t too terrible the reason for one star is that when I got home I realized the car was much louder than before I popped the hood and my oil cap was not on, it was sitting on top of my battery and the last time I got a oil change and tire rotation I was missing a lug nut on one of my wheels. The technicians here do not take pride or double check their work.

I brought my company vehicle to do a front end alignment, I waited for 3hours, before they told me I need a tire, front right, I brought it in at 11:30 am and its now 3:30pm,do yourself a favor and go to Good year, I will not come here again

These folks are the absolute best. Without question.We blew out a tire and needed a replacement pair due to tread being low on both. Their in-stock supplymeant we could get serviced in the late afternoon and be on our way before dinner.The office manager lady is great and so polite and all the techs are nice and top notch pros.When it comes to tires, brakes and alignment I would not hesitate to reuse this location of Lex. Going anywhere else seems like a gamble at this point.Keep doing what you’re doing ya’ll!

Following a communication error that resulted in an unfortunate issue of timing, Scott and the managers of this location reached out to me offering an apology and a way to fix the situation demonstrating exceptional customer service, and owning up to any errors. So I do continue to highly recommend Lex Brodies.I am highly impressed with their level of service and helping people out.Main thing, be sure to ask ahead of time how long it may take. Maybe even call in to make your appointment instead of using the website. Its convenient, sure, but then you also miss out on the personable service the Lex Brodies staff is famous for.

Scheduled a front end brake job... estimate nearly $700 w/new rotors and lifetime warranty; estimated 4-5 hours for completion; they provided complimentary rental car from Enterprise ....To my surprise, the job was completed in less than 2 hours and saved me more than $350.00 by resurfacing my existing rotors. Consistently over the years Ive found Lex Brodies to be honest and reliable. They only repair whats needed... which saves me money. As a consumer, how do I know the condition of the rotors? Obviously, I dont and have have found, time and time again, that I can rely on them to do only what needs to be done at a price significantly lower than my dealership without sacrificing quality of service or safety.

I was getting impatient because of the time, but the mechanic apologized. He did something to the tire air plug and replace it with a new one. He gave a thorough explanation. He didnt just check this one tire he checked all 4. His customer service is a blessing. Mahalo LB.

Sorry to say had a 2:30 appointment, got there early. 4 new tires plus alignment estimated 1.5 hours. 2 hrs gone by and car still waiting to be aligned. If I knew would be longer I would have been picked up. Couldnt sit there 3.5 hrs. Cancel alignment going somewhere else. Plus have 1 more car that needs tires.

Fast and friendly service. I was expecting a 2 hour wait for my safety inspection but it was only 30 minutes. Also a plus there is an area to charge devices.

Freddie was Fantastic , he explained everything so I could better understand what I needed. It took longer than I expected but all in all the service was very good.

Had a bad starter on my Honda Civic that Tony Honda neglected to look into at my last service. Tony Honda quoted me $900+ for a simple starter replacement and labor. Called up Lex Brodies and asked if they could confirm it was the starter and fit me in. They got us in, managed to get a after market replacement, install it and get the car back to us same day, and at the price of $487 with labor and part included. Great service and this has been the third time Ive had car work done with them. Ill probably use them in the future for maintenance schedule on my car from now on. Highly recommend to anyone their services.

Went there to replace 4 tires for my van. Ended up getting other things fixed while there. The office staff was great. The lifetime warranty on the repair was great. I recommend this place.

Took my car there due to a self-installed plug for a flat tire that failed after a few days. They told me they would try and patch it. I told them if they couldnt, just put a new tire on without calling me. They had a blank check for an additional $100+ in sales and were able to patch it. That type of integrity shows me I have faith in them to do additional work without any issues and would send all my friends there. Thanks Lex Brodie team!!

Did alignment then shims fellout....took it back redid alignment under warranty now shim fell out again now they want to charge me again because its pass the warranty as a former alignment tech i know that the shims if installed correctly and tightened good wouldnt fall out. Maybe technicians need more training . I would do it my self but i dont have an alignment machine! Anybody know any good alignment shops?

This cant be possible! It literally takes 15-30 minutes to do a safety check. They open at 7am and I was there at 0712 and I was asked do I have an appointment, I had no appointment to do a safety check. He told me there will be a 3-4hr wait for other appointments. Then said they dont start working until 0800 and that 0700 was for only car drop off, well it doesnt state that anywhere on your website or Google! Just lazy!

We both had service done, saftey inspections and oil change for my husbands vehicle, conveniently on Labor day when we were both off. The staff was wonderful! I called the Waipahu shop who said they would not take appointments, just to come in early in the morning and leave the car there all day. Although it was further, I was able to make a same day appointment in PC. They said come in anytime before 3 as they had a break and they started my car right away and the A/C was done in about an hour. They also checked my tire pressure right away upon request. Great service from this location!

Walked in for a safety inspection, needed to run back to base for some paperwork. The ladies at the front desk set an appointment for me to help save me some time and skip the walk in line. They got me squared away on my schedule. Ive definitely found my auto shop here on the island.

I originally took my car into a firestone for a steering problem and they charged me $60 dollars for a diagnostic and wanted to charge me an additional $2000 to fix the problem. I went to lex Brodies for a second opinion and they gave the diagnostic for free and only charged $350 to fix the problem. The customer service was also very good.

What a great store, and military friendly too! Took my vehicle to the NEX Car Care Center for new tires. They were installed badly - one had a slow leak from a crack in the valve stem, and the TPMS light was flashing because the sensors hadn’t been sync’d to my car.Took the vehicle to Lex Brodie’s to fix what they had done. Lex Brodie’s identified the problems, provided a fair estimate, and set everything right in a few hours. Very happy with them - thanks for taking good care of my vehicle and my family.

Scheduling is very much recommended as they work a bit slowly and put appointments ahead in priority. Every thing is expensive but worth it from my experience. Ive been there twice for two separate vehicles and tires needing replaced. Wasnt disappointed either of the times. They looked up the best tires for my cars and asked which ones I would prefer.

Last September, they fixed our AC system for our Toyota Sienna. Now the same problem is back, and they wont honor their warranty because they claim that it is unrelated to the original repair. They tried to convince me that this has nothing to do with their previous work, but as someone who understands cars pretty well, I could easily see they were simply trying to charge me more money to fix a problem that they failed to fix properly the first time.

For a tire shop they are very slow. I set an appointment to get one tire repaired as I had already done the others. I got there 30 min early so they took my vehicle back early. It took them 2+ hours to replace one tire. Then when they tried to offer me a discount for the delay they tried to up charge the tire. I knew it was higher then I paid just a week earlier so I called them out on it and they told me the price must have gone up. They honored their original price and gave me the discount but I dont think the price of the tire really increased $50 in just one week.
