If I could give this zero stars I would. The manager is very rude and is never in the office. Every time I go to the office during 1-3 the manager is never there and I always find the assistant. At least the assistant is there to help me out. I also ask maintenance for help in my apartment to repair stuff but the main guy Roberto says hes going to help me but never shows up. Its been months since ive asked for help and all hes done is ignore me. The appliances are old and I asked if I could get a working fridge and it seems like nobody can help. Parking is horrible and if I were you I would look at other apartments.

Horrible apartments, the office ladies only like certain people for one. rent was originally 950 then raised it too 1,200 because my roommate never paid it on time. originally breaking fee was 333 now its 1k so I’m stuck until contract is finished. Made a complaint about a toilet fix 3 times since before and after the new contract. Nice neighbors though. Hidden fees. They promised us a move in deal and last minute back off on there word. They are liars and rude. Appliances are outdated. Parking is horrible. Not recommending these apartments to anyone horrible staff.

It has been a good little starter place for me, but lots of little hidden fees, I have had some issues with bugs and loud neighbors. Also, the parking is not great. You can find a much better place for the price of this rent if you do a little more searching. However, the staff is very nice.

I’ve been living here for about 2 years and this is the best place in the area. You are surrounded by parks and are very close to everything including food and entertainment! The staff is very helpful with anything I need. The apartment complex is kept clean which is very nice. This is a great place to live.

Ive worked for Adara Communities a little over two months and so far I love working here. I love to do my best to make residents live comfortable. I work with an awesome team. Great company that will train you to gain a higher position in the future. Clean and safe property to live, treat all the residents the same with first priority.

Veronica the office manager is so helpful and very outgoing. She was very fast at getting all of my paperwork approved. She was very helpful with helping me email all my employment verification and they checked my credit and background the same day. The following Saturday I was able to move in. This is my first apartment to live in and its very beautiful they keep up with the property. So far so good no complaints.

I can honestly say that Shadowood apartments has the best location and staff in the area. The office staff as well as the maintenance staff are always helpful and attend residents with a good attitude. I want to thank Veronica for taking the time to help me fill out my application and show me the apartments.

They didn’t have the type of apartment I was looking for but the courtesy and respect that the staff provided was second to none. My questions were answered right away and the service provided by the leasing agent was great. If they had what I was looking for I would have became a resident but sad to say they didn’t.

Do not rent here these apartments are the SLUMS OF ADDISON.. there is nowhere to park at night.Cars are broken into nightly.if you park at the park youre car is towed, if you park in the street your car is vandalized.The appliances are old and outdated at these apartments.Every time someone moves out you have to deal with the roaches. hope you like cats they come with every unit. Its like cat city.

I have lived here for 4 years and the manager Veronica is the best. Since I started my first contract she has always helped me and made the whole process super easy and fast . Any maintenance issue are always resolved the same day. I really reccomend these apartments and always ask for Veronica.

Dont let these outdated apartments fool you. There no parking at night many residents have multiple cars leaving no where for others who work nights to park. Windows are being smashed in cars nightly .These apartments are not worth the money or trouble.

Stephanie and Lorenzo are sweet and accommodating. I had a work order that she made sure was complete in a timely matter. The matienence are respectful. I had so many questions and usually people would get an attitude or get annoyed but they make sure you understand everything and dont mind answering questions or concerns. The apartment itself is cozy. I havent seen any bugs. The apartment was clean. Fresh carpet. Usually parking right outside my building. Quiet setting. I saw one stray cat but who the hell cares about that

Great place to live in the staff is very friendly it is a very quiet place. It also has a great gym for your workout a pool and a park right next to the property. The neighbors are very nice. Recommend it 100%

They are ok i guess but there are bed bugs and when they paint the walls there not good at it bc if u go to the bath room u will se hair painted in and and in the bath room the sinks are clogged and if ur neighbor is wants a shower it makes a big noice but the good thing are is that the rooms are big but that’s the only good thing

The staff are always friendly and helpful, and were approachable. Willing to work with you. The only complaint of our stay here over 8 months was the maintenance crew took a while to get to us on the one request we had.

This place is the WORST! Be very careful! Lots of BUGS. Plus they love to tow cars because thats how they make more money! So if you like waking up to your car being stolen go ahead and take a chance. Lol.

The office management sucks. They lie about having temporary resident passes when other cars have them from recent dates. They lie to your face. Do NOT chose these apartments to live in. You will never have guests over later than 9 because the office management goes on power trips about who to give the temporary resident passes to. And the directions on where you can park and with what passes to use are confusing and you will most likely be towed or have someone towed. Keep looking.

Roomy apartments on a plot of land that is nice to walk around in the evenings. Even late night it doesnt seem unsafe to be walking around. Placement of dumpsters is very convenient and there are many conveniences available. The staff is very friendly and willing to help you out if you make your problems known to them. I dont know much about the experiences that have been had by previous reviewers, but I can recommend this place to a apartment hunter on a budget. It seems as though most of the reviews on here are a year or more old, so if they did have problems, back then, they seem to have fixed things up.

I was trying to get an apt for my foreign friends. And they had given us an information of the deal that was going on and we were all for it! Until they saw their income they doubled the price for 1 small bedroom apt. We were lied to and I hate to say it but I will have to talk to corporate location this was unfair. $1,700 was not worth these apt. Completely disappointed by the act of the manage in this location .

Ive been living in Shadowood for the past 2 years and give it a well deserved 5 stars. Heres some reasons why: the office staff are kind and helpful in helping you get situated to your new apartment. I was lucky to have Veronica help me thoughout my time here with mailing, packages, and service requests. The maintenance team (huge shout out to Robert who literally can fix anything) immediately works on service requests and fix them thoroughly, like getting new lightbulbs, locks, and declogging sinks. The apartment complex in itself is situated at a wonderful midpoint in the DFW area, and is family friendly and quiet. They have a beautiful small park right next to the complex that is kid and pet friendly, and the Addison athletic club, Kroger, Tom Thumbs, and nice running trails are all a block or two away. Theres plenty of parking spots as well with visitor parking spots available. Ive never stayed in an apartment complex for more than a year, but this is a keeper. Grateful for such a place for me and my family!

My son has cancer i was just told i had to drop my life to move back home i let the office know If i could have the my apartment carpet clean before he comes home because his immune system will be compromised but since I’m not renewing my lease they told me no even under these circumstances i have to leave only 3 weeks before my lease ends inorder to move so my son can start his chemo on time and so we can be close to our support system they told me life happens people die you still have to pay even tho we have to drop everything jobs and all and unexpectedly move out of state these apartments don’t not care about you they take forever to fix anything it had roaches as soon as you call for exterminator all they do is spray certain area i could of got stuff from walmart and did that myself the plugs don’t work they jack up the rent prices if you do decides to stay DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE DON’T THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS i promise you will regret this choice they don’t care about my one year old son with cancer what’s makes you think they’ll care about you when you sign that lease

To begin with, I would not prefer to give even 1 star to this apartment complex. This is a pathetic place with constant rain water leaks, water pipe burst, noisy refrigerators & water pipes and poor water drainage system from restroom.On top of this, the management is a big lie. Service requests are never taken care of. They charge 25$ from residents for fitness center key, assuring the money would be refunded instantly once the key is returned. Please do not take any key as the fitness center is lame and dirty most of the time.There was an incident of water pipe burst which did a lot of damage to my personal items kept near by. The power outlets are not standard and always loose for most of the day to day appliances. Please judge yourself from the leak picture I am posting here.This place is a strict no no based on the poor apartment conditions, no maintenance standards and dishonest management.

Contract price was changed. Many apts. have more than the legal limit of people living in them, noise issues, maitanance issues that never get resolved. You get what you pay for. I am going to be happy to move when my lease is up and will not refer anyone to this property and will share my experience with everyone I know looking for an apartment in the area.

I been staying in Shadowood Apts since 2012. I must say these apartments are very big on the inside. If you dont mind not having anywhere to park when you get off work or come home pass 9 then these are the apartments for you. I paid my rent late several months with no problem. Until they got a new manager which I understand rent is late on 4th of each month ($100.00) late fee plus ($10.00) each day after. I ALWAYS paid with no problem. But this lady ( trying to be nice) is power happy she will put a note on your door saying she going to lock you out your apartment blah blah blah... Not to say if you need ANYTHING fixed in your apartment it will take them months to get it done. I still have a hole in my closet from 2013 that NEVER came back to fix. If you like animals you love these apartments also its CAT CITY IN THESE APARTMENTS (I have videos of the cats)its so bad we named the cat that just will not leave our door. We also have a family of possums(vidoes and pics) in the outside closet that they said they were calling the city but NEVER DID.I can go on and on BUT I AM JUST GOING TO SAY SAVE YOUR MONEYYOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF STAYING IN SOUTH DALLAS NEXT TO A DRUG DEALERS HOUSE.

Office staff are amazing and very helpful.

We havent had any bedbugs and minimal roaches. And management has worked with us to fix issues many times... but that may be because were agreeable and dont have issues paying rent.The environment here and the people who live here generally reflects the low-income nature of the area but its very family oriented, thus, its a pretty safe place to live although it lacks glamour.And of course, I cant complain about the rent because this location in Addison is in high demand due to its proximity to nearby restaurants/business/highway but the complex isnt beatiful.Only really annoying thing here is the sheer number of feral cats they have running around. No lie, I have seen feral 12 cats in a single field of vision at one time. I also found a little breeding ground for them that someone feeds with human-constructed cat houses and fresh food/water they refill every day. Not sure if theyre trying to spay/neuter them or just have some wierd little hoarding hobby going on but its wierd.

Management could not care less, trash is always overflowing the dumpsters and lots of old furniture is here there and everywhere. These awful apartments will over charge you. They will also tow your car, your families and friends cars all because they make money from the towing company. Stay far FAR away unless you like paying $300 for towing fees. Crooks. Thieves.
