I just waited 30 minutes for a taxi that I was told would take 15 to get to me. At the 17 minute mark I called to see how far my taxi was and the dispatcher told me 7 more minutes. The driver was stuck in traffic. Cut to a whole second 7 minutes later I called back for them to tell me they can’t find a driver. Why tell me you have one that would be there in 7 minutes if you had no drivers? Why waste my time? I have to get work. On top of the fact that I had to call them to figure it out. They couldn’t even let me know so I could call a different service. Never got the taxi. He asked me to wait an additional 10 minutes after all of this.

Will NEVER use this car service again! I tried getting a price quote beforehand and got the run around from the dispatcher who kept forwarding me to a mailbox that was full and while I was on hold waiting to get a quote I received a telephone call from the driver saying he was downstairs. I needed to get to my appointment so I had no choice at this point but to go. It took the driver 4 minutes to look up my destination on his cellphone, the seat belts did not work, AND I was definitely overcharged for my ride and didn’t realize he had dropped me off about 1/2 a block away from my destination😡😡😡 NEVER AGAIN! First and Last Time!!

I had a horrible experience with this company. I am so furious! My daughter was supposed to get her vaccine today. I called this taxi company about 25 minutes in advance! And guess what?! This cab never showed up! My daughter missed her vaccine. These people were so unprofessional. They kept hanging up on me whenever I called to ask where the cab was. I will NEVER use this company again.

I wanted to Reserve a Taxi to take me to the Bronx and Back and I got the Dispatcher who wobbled between Rates, stating that its up to the Driver!I asked why? He said thats the way it is, I cant Guarantee the price I just gave you, its up to the Driver. So, I said then I am going into this Blind regarding Money. He Hung up on me. I will NOTuse this Service Ever. Splendid? Not so much.I did however call ARROW and it was completely done professionally, USE THEM INSTEAD.

There is a reason Uber exists and it’s because of cab companies like this one. Dishonest drivers, overcharging, unreliable. I wish I had looked online to see the reviews before riding with this company. This company is basically extorting its customers. Needless to say I won’t be using them again.

1 star isn’t low enough for Splendid. Dispatchers have no place in a customer facing job. Rude, abrasive, and unapologetic. I think splendid’s employee handbook was written by the owners of “Pop copy”. Its their job to irritate their customers as much as possible. I’m not quite sure how theyre still in business after years and years of causing their passengers to miss trains, planes, and all types of important occasions. Do yourself a favor...use Arrow Taxi.

Ive used Splendid for a long time and theyve always been great within the Harrison and White Plains area - arriving within at most one or two minutes when called or if it was set for a specific time, sometimes arriving 5-10 minutes early with a call or text to inform me theyve arrived.I was in Rye today and needed a ride back from the area. Rye is a little bit out of the way of the main area Splendid operates within, but its listed as an area that they service, and I have gotten rides to and from there in the past without issue, so I called. The dispatcher confirmed a taxi would be coming for me and then hung up. I expected a twenty to thirty minute wait, considering Splendid does not have many taxis in the Rye area, but by the forty minute mark I was getting concerned.I called up the taxi company again and told them I had called forty minutes prior asking for a ride from Rye and the same dispatcher from before looked into it for me. After a few minutes on hold she came back and informed me without apologizing that the driver who had taken my call had decided not to come and there werent any taxis in the area at the moment. I said alright, and asked if there was a taxi on the way now then. Again, she said no and this time apologized briefly, but made no attempt to rectify the situation and I was left scrambling to find a different company to ride with.Splendid shouldnt keep a customer in the dark for forty minutes without bothering to inform them their ride decided they werent worth showing up, and they shouldnt decline to dispatch a different taxi after. The behavior by both the dispatcher and the driver was extremely unprofessional and despite my previous experiences with them I will not be relying on them in the future. If theres the chance that they wont show up, I cant.

If i could rate lower i would. I asked if they were running early AM (on the tail end of a snow storm) rather than them tell me no. They hung up on me THREE TIMES!!! dont use them.

Love them!!! Very reliable service. Took them twice and had a good experience. They come really fast and then text your number to tell you theyve arrived. I actually found this taxi service by chance. I was in white plains one day and was pressed for time so I looked up taxi services and they were the first ones to pop up. And Im not even from white plains lol. But there taxis are way better. New York taxis are trash to be honest. But will always love my cityI highly recommend this taxi service

Car#063 horrible service doesnt know where my address is .. went the wrong way and told me its going to be $15 because the ride took 20 minutes I always get charged $9 or $10.. its not my fault you got lost youre the driver. I didnt pay $15 I was still nice enough to give him $11 even though he was arguing with me about the fare.

My group of friends and I called for two taxis in order to catch our train in White Plains. From the start, the man on the phone was unnecessarily rude. We needed two taxis because we all had to go on the same train. We waited outside and the taxis never came. 10 minutes go by, still no taxis. I called again and the man groans, but says he’ll send two more taxis. One taxi comes a while later, I ask the driver if he knew if the second taxi was close. By this driver, I was yelled at being told it “isn’t his problem” and when i explained that we were already late for our train because no one showed up, about to sit down, he drove away while I was sitting with the door open. I called back again, and began telling the man on the phone that out of the 4 taxis we called for, one came and drove off and that because of them, we had missed our train. This man, who sounded like he was about 17, yelled at me, told me this was MY fault, and refused to let me speak to the manager. This experience was by far the most rude, uncalled for, and ridiculous experience of my life. They do not even deserve ONE star. I would recommend that no one uses them and will continue to complain until there is change in their business.

Don’t bother wasting your time or money. Dispatchers are rude and tell you the see the car at your location when it’s not. Never had a good experience with them. Use Arrow taxi they are much better.

Called Tuesday night to try to make a reservation for Thursday morning airport trip - was told to call back closer to the date. I guess 1 day is too far out. They obviously don’t grasp the concept of a reservation.

I have been using this company for years and they have been overcharging me on every ride apparently! I was asked by the dispatcher how much the ride was when I called for my morning taxi to work , I told him $7 , It is exactly 1 mile to my job , he scoffs and says the ride is at least 9!! according to their website which I checked later, its only $4 for an innitial charge and .30 cents for every 1/8 of a mile after that , so the fare is actually only $6!!! trying to scam a loyal customer who uses their service regularly , nice , will not be using again.

Horrible...I called for a cab in white plains ny I was told it would be there in 5 mins for about 45 mins...had to call another company...ppl use metro taxi...they always take you where u need to go. Its was pouring raining driver did not pull up to entrance side of driveway nor did he pop the trunk until the 3rd time i asked. He did not help with bags in or out of vehicle. And was argumentative about fare. We were going to train station and other passenger was going to mamaranack ave. She was dropped off first. The fare charged was more than if we went straight to train station.

Just the worst I should’ve just waited on the bus Never AGAIN the driver had no clue where I was going and charged me $5.50 just to bring me to the wrong place which was no where close to where I wanted to go made me more than an hours late to work 😒

My family and I believe in supporting the local businesses in White Plains. As a family, we admire the dedication and friendliness of the drivers working for Spendid taxi. Unfortunately, some of the dispatchers have created a hostile environment for customers. Hanging up the phone is not an acceptable practice if the dispatcher by the name of Emilio cannot hear. Yesterday, after he hand up the phone, he claimed that there was no cabs available which caused my daughter to be late from work. This is why Uber is succeeding in the market( using an application filters out any bad behaviors). It is unfortunate that I was not able to voice my feedback to a manage. These behaviors are not acceptable in a service industry. If this dispatcher is not happy, then he should look for another profession. Of note, Lizette is one of the best dispatcher working for Spendid.

The driver was a nice person but the dispacher was nasty and did not help me to find out how can i get back my jacket that was left in the taxi.. he sound sleepy and hang up the phone..

These guys really suck. I tried to use them to get to a hospital appointment this morning and when no cab showed up, the dispatcher I spoke to insisted that my address did not exist even though I was standing out in front waiting. I ended up driving myself..

Wouldnt recommend these guys to anyone or use them again. Cost me 14 dollars to go a half a mile because I was a town over (My town didnt have any available atm) and they were 30 minutes late

Spendid taxi charges me way to much I took them to work. It cost me 10.25 I take another taxi service only cost me 6.50. I am never taking splended to work again

The operator at 5:20 on a thursday. hung up on me twice then lied about the car availability. Then hung up on me again. There were multiple cars free driving right past me as I walked home in the rain.

One hour waiting despite of 3 calls!! I have to cancel my appoitment it is too late!

Just watched a driver extort a teenager for the cell phone he left in his car. He wouldnt give the cell phone back, he was demanding $10. Grimy.

Called three times to 152 Virgina rd white plains, was told the driver went to the wrong Virginia rd, well theirs only one in white plains, second call the driver is turning around, third call, the driver will be their in 4 minutes, well they never came, will never call again!!!!

I called for a taxi, I waited when it arrives it picks up another passenger. When I call back for another taxi, they make it seem as if Im at fault. What a waste
