I took my Surface Pro 4 in because my Windows was corrupted and I was unable to update the new versions. First I want to thank the young man who came out to my car to get my computer because I had a sleeping toddler in the car and didn’t want to wake him. He was so polite and cared about safety protocols regarding Covid. (Wearing a mask) My tablet was ready in 24 hours! The cost was very reasonable. When I got home and began to use it, I noticed the screen was flickering, which it wasn’t prior to me dropping it off. They suggested I bring it back and said it would need a new screen. Of course I was reluctant because there was no problem before I dropped it off. I left it anyway and they repaired the blinking at no charge but advised that the screen would eventually fade and would need to be replaced. Since the tablet is several years old, I know that it’s possible. 5 stars because of their promptness, the courteous young man, and their ability to fix my computer problems and added virus protection on it! As a business owner who relies on my computer to help make my business run successfully, I appreciate their work!

I took my Brother All in One Laser Printer in because it showed an error message with the print cartridges. I had changed all the cartridges with no luck. They worked on it for over a week and finally were able to repair it. The cost was less than $100. These guys are great to work with and I recommend them.

When I got the machine the sound was turned up to the highest level of volume and the sound is distorted. They never installed the sound drivers and never connected the speakers properly when they opened the laptop to repair the power port.THEN THEY SAID THEY DID NOTHING - WELL YOU PEOPLE CANT EVEN HIDE YOUR LIES YOU CREATED 3 LOG FILES ON MY LAPTOP WITH EVIDENCE AND THE EVIDENCE SHOWS IN THE PROGRAM FILES THE TIME AND DATE YOU ACCESSED MY INFORMATION.THEY WILL ALSO CLAIM TO CALL THE POLICE BECAUSE I AM HARASSING THEM BY DEMANDING TO KNOW WHAT THEY DID ON MY LAPTOP AND WHY THEY DID IT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.THEY DAMAGED MY PROPERTY AND ACCESSED MY PROPERTY ILLEGALLY. THEY WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!

This shop did repairs on two Macs and recovered data from a damaged hard drive. the shop owner and repair techs were very professional and helpful. I would use them again.

I had my Laptop fixed and essentially upgraded there recently. It was a 2012 ASUS laptop with Windows 8, it couldnt work on the internet hardly at all and couldnt run the latest essential programs I needed for my collage courses. I took it to them to fix, they told what theyll need to do and explained it to me, told how much it would cost (very fair price) and how long it would take to complete the work-- My laptop was fixed a day early, they installed a new hard-drive and Windows 10, and now Im sitting here typing this review on my newly fixed laptop!! Im very grateful and would HIGHLY recommend this place! :)

My problem was solved quickly and efficiently, I appreciate the quick response due to being an out of town visitor. Advanced Computers is a great place to get your computer repaired. I was so afraid I was going to have to replace my DELL laptop. But these guys were able to replace my hard drive and I still have all my files that I thought were going to be lost. Also, and they were able to fix it and replace the hard drive within 24 hours. I am very impressed with the work of this dedicated store! When my I phone needed a new charging port, Apple told me to go to Best Buy because the store at Baybrook was closed indefinitely, but they could squeeze me in with an appointment in 6 days at a store halfway to Dallas. So, going to Best But, I was told that I could have an appointment in 5 days. I walked out, telling them I was going to the place on the corner. I did just that and got my phone fixed before closing time that day! This place is great, local, does good work, and charged me $69 for something that Apple store would have charged me $200 for. I may never go to the Apple store again!

When I brought my computer he said the repair would be $75 maybe $100. The next day he said $489 and then tried bargaining with me lol. These 5 start reviews are most definitely fake.

Very expensive for the work they do. I do not appreciate how you get cornered in and forced to agree to some outlandish price tag on their repairs. No refunds no matter what. They will hold your equipment hostage. You will not be told the price until after repairs are done or parts are ordered. Telling them no to anything seems to only encourage their service members to continue to badger you to agree. They will not take no for an answer.Do they do a decent job on the actual repairs? That I can say they do. My laptop is working fine as of right now so for that part I cannot complain about. My main complaint is me simply telling their service members that I was not seeking repairs and yet it was done anyways after the fact.Do know what you are getting into. See if you can look up the parts yourself and compare it to their prices. Finally, be prepared for a very heafty labor fee that is not mentioned anywhere on their website or their store.

I dropped off my hp beats 15 laptop last week on wednesday. I paid $60 for a diagnostic and specifically asked for a printed diagnostic report and was assured i would receive The technician told me my computer would be ready that evening or the next day.The next day turned into the following, the following turned into saturday, saturday into monday. Monday i was contacted by Emran Gazi the supervisor and was told that my computer was going to ne sent to another location to be fixed and it was going to cost $169. Due to corona virus im experiencing and cant afford that.After declining the addon charge to our original invoice i was rudely told that my computer would be put baxk together and i could pick up.Today i picked up my conputer and the technician stated that my entire motherboard was bad.I dont apppreciate being lied to and my money being played with.Sincerely,Slater Anthony Ramirez

Guy doesnt seem very knowledgeable. Is Muslim tried to rip us off after we had agreed to a price for a repair of $49 when we got there to do the repair he tried to jack it up to $69. Couldnt even just admit to us that he was unable to fix the casing of the laptop as well as put the new cover on the CD-ROM drive. Not impressed good prices but shity service

Would not recommend this place to anyone the place is shady they basically charge you 5 fifty plus dollars just for saying hello. The owner or manager is not a completely honest individual and does not know how to talk to people in the correct manner. I took a laptop there did not hear from them at all I had to call over one week later, was told I needed a part another week later I have to go to the store because I hadnt herd anything my laptop was still sitting on the table just to be told the past they ordered didnt work so they had to send it back. A week later I finally got my laptop back but paid higher then quoted. But the lead tech Allen is a stand up guy hope he gets his own shop one day.

Hard drive failure on my only laptop, brought to Advance Computer for checking, Emran had the tech check and repair while I waited. Drive was bad, and needed to be replaced. Sam was able to complete the test, drive replacement and software install. Competent, professional service at a fair price. Will be a customer again if I have computer issues.

They replaced a dead hard drive, and retrieved the data from the dead drive, which I didnt think was possible. I was very relieved not to lose the data that had not been properly backed up. Thanks!

My monitor screen on my HP laptop went out on me. I purchase a replacement screen from Amazon. I took my laptop to these guys and they replaced the screen and had my laptop back to me within 3 business days. It was the first time I used their services I was anxious but they did a great job. The cost of repair was quite reasonable too. They were very friendly and courteous. I will be using them again in the near future.

Do not bring your technique to them. very unprofessional and annoying individuals. I brought them my laptop with a charging problem. they were not able to correctly identify the issue. Instead, they ordered a new battery ( $90) but my laptop still did not charge the new battery. Finally, in a panic mode, they recommended me to buy a new adapter in Walmart. As i estimated later, the problem was with a motherboard. They charged for their service $220, I have requested my bank to cancel this transaction. Wasting my time.....their service is a total trash....

I am only giving one star as this system does not allow zero.I took my laptop to this place last year for repairs. The monitor hinge on my laptop was coming apart and the frame and connections needed to be replaced. I was also told, after they looked at it, that the mother board needed replacing. The tech told me it would be a few days. After a month of continued excuses and delays, I was finally able to pick it up. And it worked fine. As I used it I noticed the wifi was a little weak when I traveled to hotels and conferences, but it worked and I figured the card might be wearing out. Fast forward to the COVID environment and the need to shift to teleconferencing and my webcam does not work. Again, I did not think anything of it and figured I might need a new cam. So I take it to another place for repairs as my first experience with this location was less than satisfactory. They take my computer apart and they can tell I had some work on the hinge for a monitor problem and tell me the hinge and wires have been epoxied together, the frame does not look like it was replaced just glued together inside, the webcam wires go through the epoxy mess and that the wifi card and webcam wires had been crimped to the mother board and when they went to inspect those, the wires crumbled. He also could not tell if the motherboard was new or not.I called Advanced C&L and recognize the voice as what my impression was the manager when dealing with them initially, but he side steps and diverts by saying he is not the supervisor. He started in with the we have been here 25 years, like many of his replies to negative posts here...I could not care less, seems like there are enough of experiences like mine noted below...shame on me for not reading reviews beforehand. Left my name and number for a call back...we will see if that actually happens.Before choosing this company to work on my computer, I did not look up any comments on line as this place has been in my local community for as long as I can remember. Again, shame on me for that, I should have read the comments, especially many of the negative ones as I would have gone elsewhere.You will want to keep moving if you are wondering if this is a good place to take your business. Even if you initially feel it was a good experience, you run the risk of finding a problem later down the road because you cannot trust how they actually did the work.I will follow up and discuss how they handle this going forward.

Upgraded DEll laptop with solid state hard drive; system is now 4X faster than before

Brought my computer in after having been to 2 other places first. neither of the 1st 2 could repair computer. after 1 1/2 months of trying to get computer repaired advanced computers had it fixed within 4 days.

Do not use them for business. They charged me $129.99 plus $10 fee for speedy repair. They fixed my screen on my phone and 1 1/2 weeks later my screen went black. I took it back to them thinking they would just fix it or replaced it because of a defective part. No!!!! Some idiot named Jason called me and said they could offer me a discount at $99.99. I can get my screen replaced for cheaper than that at other stores, the only reason I used them is because I was trying to fix my phone in a hurry and I live down the street. He said it was working when I left the store so they cant do anything about it. (So if I wouldve left and drove down the street and came right back with a black screen thats your answer?) I told him that he could look at the equipment and tell that it wasnt damaged and the part was bad. He still wouldnt replace it. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and my family have been to this place many times. Just recently I took my wifes laptop to get the virus removed and they technician did a good job, I give 5 stars. And one time I took my laptop to Advance computers because the sound was not working, and the technician fixed it. Every time these guys always fixed our computers. I brought my PS4 because it would not show on the tv they told me it was the hdmi port and i paid to have it repaired. They said they had fixed it but couldnt test it because they didnt have the chords to test it but guaranteed it was fixed. It wasnt. So i brought it back and this time it took them 4 months to tell me that it was the motherboard and it worked when i took it. Lies. Never take a gaurantee if they dont show you that they fixed it they probably didnt and will claim you broke it when you took it home.

The worst store i have been in my life. And the manager does not have any ethics. He said me he will get my laptop hinges repaired and asked me to pay 120 dollars, to which i agreed and after a week waiting for the parts, i called him after one week he then said we cant fix it.Then i went to store he handed me the laptop(sorry laptop parts)without fixing them and asked me to pay certain amount. I asked him to give me the way i gave it to him and said i wont even pay a penny he agreed for that and i have been waiting for his call, i waited for 3 days and called him again, he then said to come for pickup. After i reached the store he demanded me to pay else he wont give up my laptop, i said him that i am student and you didnt tell me to pay for the service that he didnt provide. He argued and went to his room and didnt come out till i agreed to pay the money to take my laptop bag. He does not have any ethics, he keeps on changing his words.. He didnt even connect the wires he removed when i call him back he is rejecting my call. No words to describe how worst he is. He is a big liar and cheater

There should be negative rating to rate this manager. Technician is a great guy but the manager is a big liar who does not have any ethics to follow in his life.He took the laptop of a masters student to repair in a very busy assignment schedule but kept the laptop for 3 weeks(1 week waiting for the parts) and other two weeks to say that he will not be able to solve the issue. And he just asked to come after 2 weeks when the student called back for the status.And just thrown the laptop with all the parts removed. And then when asked for assembling like what it has been given to him. He said okay and later he asked even begged for charges for whatever he has done to a student.

The charge port on my Microsoft Surface would not work. I took it to Microsoft (Baybrook Mall) and they woudnt even look at it, just wanted me too buy a new one on sale $800. Took it to Frys where I bought it 4 years ago and they woudnt even look at it either. Advanced Computers and Laptops FIXED IT!! I will use them for everything fro now on!
