I’ve seen these guys work so hard throughout the holidays especially and they’re always in a good mood. I think the fees are reasonable it’s a great location. I’ve seen some pretty unreasonable Be just downright rude and disrespectful because they don’t hear an answer they wanted.

VERY KIND STAFF! I showed up one minute before closing because I live in anchorage and was trying to set up a new PO Box prior to my move to Wasilla. The doors were already locked, but Mike made an exception for me, unlocked them and let me in. He was very kind, shook my hand, told me he understood, and prided himself with saying that the Wasilla populace is generally more relaxed than Anchorage. The two ladies behind the counter were also very kind. I felt pretty bad about showing up right at closing, but the entire interaction was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had. What a great welcome. I can’t wait to move here!

Come on people.. You want to raise the rates and we just want our mail delivered to the rite address.. Not the neighbors down the street.... Come on mail carriers..i even have a post with the 4 digit house number....

I like it because its indoors and it also has regular service hours, and the plus is that you can check mail anytime its 24/7 access which is awesome convinent.

Mona is very rude we lost our tracking number an she refused to help we can not be the 1st to lose our tracking number our package was sent on June 4 an we still have not received it no one at usps can help us apparently

This is the ONLY post office that doesnt feel like a dreaded, miserable place and its all grey and money.Its light and friendly and the post workers at the counter are THE BEST!! Super friendly, super happy, work quickly and efficiently. The only post office I look forward to going to!

Had issues with an older lady with dirty blonde curly hair. Went to pick up my packages from there, and this older lady was rude to me immediately. She said that they had 6000 packages in the back, and she was not going to search through them to find my package and that it can return to sender and told me to write the correct address next time. I went over to a bald man working there next, and he took my tracking info on the package, and went and found it within 2 minutes. He was beyond friendly and had amazing customer service and is the only reason Im giving this place 3 stars instead of 1.

Dont come here if you dont have box. Waste of time!

These guys are the best. Always friendly and helpful. As for lines... I experience much longer lines and way slower services at fast food places and self check out at grocery stores. I have had a PO box there for over 20 years. Never had any problems!!!!

Horrible. We have lived all over the United States and this has to be the absolute worst post office. Half the time my mail isnt delivered because its held at customer request ummmm no...no I have never requested that. And we have put in tickets and complaints and still is Horrible. Also Dont waste your time calling cause they NEVER answer their phone

Constantly steal our mail and now it’s winter and a new driver, usps will not deliver mail to our house instead lies and waits we don’t have a house number(and oh yes we do very obviously) and give us pink slips in our street box instead of dropping package off in lower box. Now I have to constantly go to the annex and usps has no way to contact over the phone

I love this post office! Michael is one of the kindest most thoughtful and helpful person you will ever meet. They are the busiest place in town yet are able to maintain a warm greeting to everyone who enters.

Nobody waiting in line if u come at 5-5:30. Anytime before that & you can guarantee yourself a spot in line for a good half hour +. But than again thats probably the standard wait time at any and all USPS offices. Its always clean inside 🤪

I can’t even count how many of my packages they lost or “delivered” to the wrong PO Box. I have fought them many times and they just keep saying “it was delivered.” I have received atleast 10 large items in my PO Box that didn’t belong to me and I returned them as we all should.I made one employee walk into the back to find my $400 package even though it was insured. You will never get the insurance pay out from them, I have tried and lost, because “it was delivered.” She found my package with someone else’s box number on it.I have also heard the front desk staff openly talk trash about the people in the warehouse.Update - they just delivered another one of my packages to the wrong PO Box and someone just took it.

What is the point of ordering stuff online if I have to go into town to pick up my parcels from a package locker?!? Seriously, the USPSs job is to deliver mail and packages, you are literally not doing the only task youre here to do. The Wasilla Post Office is an absolute joke and should be closed; let a private company come in that has incentive to provide good service. Shame on you Wasilla USPS!

Wanted to leave a review thinking that this would make a difference but clearly it doesnt there are more 1-star reviews then there is people in that post office and there are more people in that post office then covid-19 cases right now horrible place for customer service everyone there doesnt care for their job always tells me unable to deliver package due to obstacles in front of mailbox when I can have my toddler get it out of the box for me....lairs someone needs to step in and fix this

I am the owner of an online business, I ship about 10 - 20 packages daily. So my experience with this post office is quite extensive. I have to say, this post office has an amazing staff! It’s always clean, and when it’s real busy, the line still moves fast!! Tanks for all your work! Keep it up.

COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY SERVICEAttempted to get two packages rerouted because the P.O. does not deliver to the address on the packages. BOTH the Main St, and the Annex refused to assist.

The USPS is an absolute joke. No willingness to help, lost packages etc. every single nimrod in this entire office should be fired. Pathetic beyond belief...

Ive been here many times and Michael is always SO nice. He always says Hey Kiddo and he does his job very fast and well. Sometimes the line gets a little long, but if hes at the counter, it goes quickly.

Lines move along fast. Theres information posted on the walls, which was very helpful since the information I needed I was able to get from one of those posted papers on a wall. It was easy to walk into the building as well as the walk through the parking lot since it was shoveled.The information about the passport was the longest sign on the wall.

Wont even help you with anything. Just tell you pretty much your SOL. Would never recommend anyone to use this place.

I personally do a lot of mailing and picking up packages for work. I love the service always super friendly and they work at a fast to help everyone. Lines happen at a post offices but this one steadily moves a log at a good pace.

I continuously received misdelivered mail , often for boxes not even next to mine, and do not receive mail thats been sent to me even including a check for thousands that we had to wait 90 days to get re-issued... that check actually arrived 6 months later in a big bag of mail they said had been lost in the bottom of a bin. Ive never seen more mistakes and less accountability in a post office.

They are the kindest, sweetest, most helpful people ever! Such a wonderful atmosphere! I cannot say enough good things about them.

You can’t call the post office directly, so you have to wait 30-40 minutes for a representative from who knows where to help you with your package that the post office is returning because it has your physical address and not your P.O. Box. But our post office won’t call or tell you you have a package there they just return it. Would be so easy if they had a number you could call and ask them to hold your package so you can pick it up. So frustrating. What a concept it would be if the US mail service actually delivered the mail. I’m sure they can find a physical address like most people can. They must have an updated motto cause rain sleet and snow the mail surely won’t go. Maybe the government should step aside and let private industry deliver the mail. People are much more motivated when they have to be successful.

They deliver a package completely damage and leaking! It stained my deck. They delivery guy knew I was home and didn’t even bother to knock and let me know how badly damage the package was. It’s completely ruined!

Wonderful people. Love them all. They are so good and patient, kind and helpful. Walk in their shoes! before you give them a bad review. People trying to call, are probably calling to ask if they are open...lol

These people will constantly return your mail as undeliverable for no reason. Never notify you that you have a package and then return it without ever telling you even if it has tracking. They claim the mailbox is full when it isnt and any other excuse they can find to not deliver your mail!!! Im filing a complaint and Ill get a damn UPS mailbox.

From what I see from the reviews, This post office is taking the hit for the failures of the DELIVERY postal system, which includes the Annex. I too used to rely on delivery which was fine in town because the government carrier would just drop packages at our door if they didnt fit in the locker -or just as a matter of convenience, but Ive moved out of town now, where the carriers are private contractors and NEVER leave packages because they get stolen. The Annex is a nightmare. The delivery system is dysfunctional. BUT THAT IS NOT THE 401 N MAIN POST OFFICE! Even the lines during busy times at this post office (NOT THE ANNEX) move as quickly as anywhere else. I think they do just fine. If you are on mail delivery, THIS IS NOT THE POST OFFICE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PROBLEMS! Read the address above when writing your reviews! I too gave the Annex a horrible review. I feel sorry for those that work there. If you want to relieve your suffering, rent a box here as I did. Your address will read like a physical address: 401 N. Main Street, Unit 870XXX.UPDATED 03/22/2021I have changed my review and opinion based on the performance of this facility over the last few months. I guess like Covid has ruined EVERYTHING, this PO is included. I have on several occasions had to go to the desk after I was not notified by slip or parcel key of packages that I knew had arrived at the facility, and make them search for the package. Today had me so furious I had to regain my composure.UPS delivered a two day air package (in Two days) to this facility on the 17th. on the 19th I sent my son to get the package as it did not show a notice in my box. Even having sent him twice to the desk with a UPS tracking number, they said it was not there. I went in today (22nd) and they said the UPS tracking number was useless to them. they said if the address was wrong they would send it back. they made no effort to look for it. I left and called UPS. they again confirmed it was delivered but sure enough they had dropped the last digit off my box #. I went back to the PO and told them. I also argued that they could have gotten on a computer and using my name on the package, figured out the last digit. He said thats not how it works. I asked if they had difficulty with shoe laces. He saw I was getting irritated and I agreed with his assessment. I explained to him that when UPS scans a package, they know where it is and they did not scan it as returned therefor, I told him, my package is in this building, someone knows where it is! Because he kept telling me they return packages with incomplete addresses, I asked if they chased down UPS trucks to hand them back. I said where do you put these packages? He asked the only smart guy at this facility -who pointed around the corner from where I was standing. The guy that could not find the package for a half hour walked around the corner and found my package.

4 Stars for this Post Office, due in large part to Michael, who is always cheery, helpful and very efficient. They unfortunately are understaffed most of the time and there can be long waits during certain parts of the day. However, the service here completely blows away the LACK of service and incompetency at the Wasilla Postal Carrier Annex, which should be shut down due to the mis-handling of USPS items.

No one answers the phone, everything is automated and concerning a package that was considered undeliverable and what means I needed to take and possible pick was horrendous. I understand a lot of customer service handling issues, but this was ridiculous. Call and they hang up on you if you ever got passed the automations. Really? This experience was horrible. I hope for the future it gets better for others that have to deal with them. I would have just went in but considering its 35 miles one way is a little out of my way if I cant speak to some one about pick up, especially since I have no other reason to drive that far.

Although sometimes lines get ridiculous, the people are friendly, location is nice and the service is good. If it wasnt for the long lines, it would have been wonderful!!!

Sometimes theres super long lines... but I love the place! Its centrally located, and it has nice big windows everywhere :)

They are the laziest people I have ever seen and deserve to be fired... Expecially when it come to picking up a package, if you have a P.O. Box you are suppose to be able to get your package when you come in to get your mail, but they are so lazy at their job they refuse to get it and tell you to come back tomorrow, eventho its ready for pick up... Just today I went to get my package and was told multiple excuses, I requested a supervisor or a number to the postmaster to complain, I was told we are too busy... Meanwhile they are required to give that info when asked as per the USPS 1-800 number... I went back with tracking info again showing it was ready for pickup and again was told multiple excuses.. A supervisor finally came to speak to me and stated that they arent allowed to go threw packages until tonight (as per Anchorage), I requested a number to call Anchorge, but was told hes not allowed to give that info out, and that he would like to get it, but cant since they are locked until tonight... This was at 1130am the 1st time, then again about 1230pm... Later I get a message at 330pm saying the package was delivered at 130pm to my P.O. Box.. So again lies and laziness, this place is a disgrace with lazy employees... I will be filing complaints where ever I can until this get resolved...

I order something and they dont even deliver it to my house and dont even notify me that its at the post office plus in the winter they broke my mailbox and didnt even tell me or offer to fix it and when i go to return something in the mail and put the flag up they totally ignore it and dont take it i have to drive alway to the post office just to mail something that could have been done at the mailbox
