Our experience with this venue was outstanding! We found them to be excellent to work with in regards to quick replies with questions so we could make informed decisions about our event. The staff on hand the day of was helpful and accommodating and readily available if needed. The value of what you get and on top of the amazing views made for a gorgeous wedding day! Highly recommend!

When we arrived the inside and outside of the cedar chalet was under construction.We were not notified of this in advance. Our bedroom didn’t even have a window which is a safety violation. You walked out the back to a pile of gravel with a three foot steep decline which was in front of the fire pit. The televisions didn’t work which was inconvenient with children. We traveled from Michigan and our family was so looking forward to this vacation. The owner Kathy Gline didn’t seem to think the safety issues were a big deal. Apparently the safety of her guests is not a big priority! When I told her of the issues she said we could have found somewhere else to stay. REALLY!!!! We were there for a wedding with our entire family. She should of been upfront from the beginning. She offered me thirty percent off another stay with them which she knew would never happen for obvious reasons. I notified the fire marshal and sent him pictures. He thanked me and said he was going to follow up on it. How tragic if there was a fire and you couldn’t get out of your bedroom or a child fell down the gravel hill into the fire pit. This lady obviously has no conscience!

I the middle of a wedding management breach the contract/don’t trust them

All I have to say is....what a venue. Whether you are looking for a small group event, or wedding, or in need of a large banquet hall.. they have it all.To put the icing on the cake, they offer views for your event that are to die for

Im a photographer and did a wedding there this summer for a couple and the facility is crazy! It has everything that you could need for events and for your stay. They had beautiful places on-site near the shore for the ceremony and the reception! Its all there! Youll love it!

Our accommodations were great! The place was visually better than their website. We were there over the 4th and the resort was not crowded and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Pia (the resorts contact person) was terriffic!

My family really enjoyed our stay here at the B&B. This exquisite Resort has a lovely feel of home. Super friendly staff, clean, and beautiful inside and out. We recommend this place for a single person, couple, or families. Thank you again!

We had a group retreat for 26 of the women/girls of our church. The scenery was lovely, and we stayed at the huge McKinley View Inn. The bedrooms of this home all had private bathrooms and the staff even provided one rollaway for a daughter to stay in the same room as her mother. The rooms ranged from extremely nice to palatial. The beds, rooms, and kitchen were all clean. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics, and plenty of utensils/plates and such for our group and even a few staples we ended up needing were available.

Our family gathered from around the country at the Alaska Sunset View Resort to celebrate the wedding of myself and my new husband. We could not have selected a better place! It was so beautiful and the accomodations were amazing. The home where the family spent the weekend was immaculate, and so welcoming and comfortable. Family of all ages and all interests were able to gather and have a truly enjoyable weekend together. Whether the kids were playing out on the lake in the paddle boats, or we were enjoying a relaxing breakfast lakeside, or even playing pool in the game room, everyone had a terrific time! The condition of the grounds and facility truly reflect the pride the owners take in the resort. We hope to gather again with family at this facility because it met every need and then some. It was a perfect weekend of relaxation!

The Sunset View Resort was the perfect place to hold our annual meeting. The owner graciously gave us full use of the property including access to the restaurant and the house was comfortable and clean. Thanks Kathy.

Gorgeous view with a great wedding venue!

Nice place but very expensive for a non-remote lodge. No room service between the two nights I staid there.
