I was so happy to find a capable, honest and hard-working car mechanic when I took my 2012 Chevrolet Equinox to Paul at Berkley Automotive! The check-engine light had been coming on and it was stalling frequently. It takes more than an oil change to maintain confidence that your car is going to get you safely where you want to go and when you want to go, especially when it is getting close to 100,000 miles! Nobody ever told me that my car even had spark plugs! Paul worked quickly and efficiently, with a great eye for detail, and I recommend him to do the same for YOUR vehicle.

He couldnt fix my truck because he said he needed a frame spreader to get the transfer case out a 16 year old ended up changing my transfer case out in an hour in my driveway with no frame spreader because you dont need one thanks for your help

Paul is a very good mechanic, I originally thought my fuel pump was gone. After he came out and did a little diagnostic work he realized my security system had shut me out. He was able to reset the computer/security system and get my vehicle started. He saved me about $500. If I ever need another mechanic I will be calling him. I would suggest that you do too. Some mechanics are completely lacking in out of the box diagnostic thinking Paul is not hes very capable.

Berkley Auto is our go-to mechanic. The smartest most knowledgeable mechanic I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. He’s honest, dependable and stands by his work. Having lots of drivers and vehicles (including a food truck) we have used his services many times, I wish I good give him 10 stars.

Paul did a phenomenal job on my 85 Ford F-150 pick up with a inline 6 motor. My first impression of Paul was a genuine, hard working man. Paul is an extremely capable automobile mechanic. He replaced the fuel pump on my classic 71 Chevy Van RV with 350 engine. He has an eye for detail and this mobile service is equipped to the highest standards. I would recommend this mobile repair business as a 9.9 from 1-10. The only reason it is not a 10 is because there is always room for improvement in some area.

If youre looking for a honest and professional mobile mechanic, this is one I would recommend. He did some work for me twice and both times he caught and repaired things that werent required , explained to me what he did to the unit and each time I was expecting a thousand dollar bill but was only served a $200 bill. Outstanding service and fair pricing! My vehicle was ready ahead of schedule, and the mechanic took the time to explain in detail everything that he fixed and had checked.

Called and scheduled an appointment the first time. Said he could do the job in under 5 hours. Said he would arrive at 9am. Never arrived until 2:30. Which he didnt communicate so he left us waiting. Stopped by and looked at my vehicle and closed the hood. Called us and said the job is too big for him. Then left. The next day he called back and said he could do the job, he just needed more time to work on it. So we agreed and let him make another appointment with us. The next appointment, he never arrived. We had to call him and ask if he was coming by because we were waiting. He calls back and says he hurt his back yesterday. Which he could have communicated in the first place with his customers so we werent left hanging. I do not recommend this mechanic. He will not arrive on time and change up each time on you.

Paul has great communication and timeliness. We had to reschedule initially, but he showed up on my site on time with everything that he needed at the rearranged time. He let me purchase the parts and supplies, so there was no markup. The repair, a water pump change on a 35 year old diesel, was quick and under the initial estimate. He cleaned up after himself and didnt leave a mess. He showed me some areas to watch in the future. I would recommend him and I will call upon him again.

Had my head gaskets done on my 06 GMC Yukon a month ago. He let me know if anything additional needed to be replaced seeing how its 14yrs old and he was very professional and did a great job.

We 1st called Paul for his mobile service while we were trying to get some lug nuts off a vehicle to do a brake job. We were afraid we were going to strip the studs in the hub. He came as soon as he could between other jobs and had them off in no time. Rate was good as he only charged for his call out fee.Soon after I discovered a coolant leak which may require removing the engine on a different vehicle. I would have preferred to do the work myself but had recently moved and many of my tools were buried in storage so I got on Pauls schedule to have it done at his shop. I purchased all of the parts and some that you should replace while doing this sort of job and Paul confirmed it all with me. Fortunately for me and with Pauls honesty he discovered the leak wasnt quite as deep as we both had 1st thought. He was fast with his communication, in depth discovery and as I had said an honest mechanic. I feel his time for the job was accurate and his rate with a senior discount to be great. God love em like this:)

If I could give this man a 50 star rating, I would. Im just getting around to making this review because I wanted to make sure my truck didnt reject the repairs he made for me. Paul changed some spark plugs for me about a month ago, and since then my truck has been working beautifully. Paul was EXTREMELY quick, very honest, and even updated me as his fixed things, and let me watch. I would recommend him to everyone I know. I priced several shops before-hand, and this was the best priced, best attitude, and very honest about everything. Absolutely a wonderful mechanic.

My trucks cooling system burst a hose, about a block from home. I was able to pull into the driveway, but lost a lot of coolant. I chose Berkley more or less at random, and saw positive reviews on-line. Those reviews were well-earned, and he proved it in my case, too.He called ahead to let me know he was running a little late, rather than just leave us wondering when hed be there. He was quick, professional, and friendly. He found a burst hose before I did, and got a replacement & had it on the truck in just over an hour.Highly recommended!

Paul did a wonderful job fixing up our Subaru. Instead of purchasing unnecessary parts automatically, he was able to simply repair what was already there. He was very expedient, and kept me updating with phone calls regarding how the job was going and when parts would arrive. He did his best to keep costs down but not skimp on quality. I was really pleased to find that Paul was exceptionally polite and well mannered. Sometimes auto mechanics can be condescending or brash (looking at you, Mr. Lube), but I found just the opposite. Wonderful service!! Just moved here and bought a used truck. Belt broke on way to work and the shops I called could not get to it for several days. Paul is very experienced and thorough. Our van needed a tune up which he did quickly at a fair rate. While at it he activated the catalytic converter just by attaching a loose tube. Highly recommended!

I called Paul at approximately 12 oclock and he responded immediately. My 2006 Nissan Quest needed a new wheel bearing. It was so loud he could hear it on the phone. He told me to come by at 3 to the shop and that it would be approximately three hours of work. He did it exactly the amount of time and the price was amazing. Im going to have to have the other side replaced and Ive already told him I will be calling him. Extraordinary service.

Serpentine belt went out on the way to work. After having it towed home, the husband decided it was more work than he wanted to handle so we called Berkley Automotive. Paul showed up when he said he would, and fixed the car. The rates were fair, and it was less expensive and more convenient than having my vehicle towed into a shop to be repaired. I’ve heard there are a few things in life that can be particularly tough to find. One of those is an honest mechanic. For me, that search is over, at least in Wasilla. From our first conversation, Paul’s competence, experience, and yes...honesty, were very apparent to me. He was direct and transparent with me throughtout my repair and I never felt like he was or was even capable of taking advantage of me even though it was clear I had no knowledge regarding automotive repair. He was inexpensive and even tried to accommodate my schedule. Paul called me several times during the repair just to update me on his progress. I never asked him to do this, nor did I give him the impression I expected it. I think it’s just the way he is. Paul has done 4 or 5 jobs for me now, on different vehicles, including gas and diesel, brakes, bearings, major tune ups, transmission service, electrical, etc. Hes done a great job, and he saves me a lot of $$ over traditional shops.
