Austin was the person answering the phone. I had questions about disposing of some small items of furniture. She gave me two options and thoroughly explained the process and costs of each option. I spent 50+ years in sales and marketing and have enough customer service experiences to write a book. As I told Austin in complimenting her skills, she would be in the good chapters. I don’t know her, I’m not related to her and wouldn’t know her if I met her on the street, but I will say from my experience Waste Connections has a terrific employee in this young lady working for them. It’s refreshing to be helped by a person with her people skills.

Ive always had my call returned within the stated amount of time. They might be short staffed, but they always follow through and are polite. Kara was helpful and assisted me with request for vacation hold. Good company to deal with!

Kara was absolutely awesome in helping me out with my issue. The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is specifically that it requires a callback in order to get any help on the phone. The company needs to hire more folks to help in customer service as I am not always able to answer a return phone call at any time of day, which results in a game of phone tag to resolve even the slightest issue.

Ashley, the customer service rep who helped me out is the only reason that five stars is my rate. I tried to set up new service online twice and got zero response including not even an auto response email stating that I had done something online.However, when I called I got Ashley. She was awesome! In ~20 minutes she got not only everything set up for me and my new account number but she had gone through everything for me in a clear and concise way that let me know exactly what my rates were going to be and making sure that I was comfortable with what I was signing up for. Her personality was also awesome!

When it comes to customer service Jenna at Waste Connections is the best. Especially individualized, personal customer service. I work nights and needed to pay my bill by phone. Like so many others I find it reassuring to do so. Well... after a very lenghty waite in line on the phone because of the pandemic and most offices closed to the public my call was aswered by Tasha . I than for some reason pressed the wrong phone key hanging myself up after waiting in line for so long. I never even had the chance to be asked If by chance were diconnected what is your call back number? To my unbelief while trying to call back; my phone began beeping in on my call wating line and I was soooo happy! It was the same voice that I had just hung up on. I answered and told her NO WAY are you calling me back! We both laughed for a while over the matter. Im old school and I couldnt belive that I got a call back from the person that I just hung the phone up on. This is what we need to get back to, instead of this robotic world that we have become. How can I laugh so hard and have fun giving away money for a bill?I really mean this...We need more Tasha Scotts

Just moved to the area, and setting up our garbage, recycling and yard debris services couldnt be easier. I had the pleasure of working with Kara, Amber and Shannon. They were all fantastic. I submitted my application for service online, heard back via e-mail, answered a few questions (and missed a few of them, thanks for catching me ladies!) I would highly recommend their team of employees for quick email responses as their phone lines are currently bogged down. I personally left a voice message they got back to me same day via e-mail. Seems down to earth. Ive had a few times where Ive rolled the can out a little late in the morning (half awake 🤣) and they always backed up to help me out with a thumbs up. They are friendly and professional, the phones? Typical waits easy answers and resolutions generally.

There was a new driver on my route and they missed my neighbors and me for 2 weeks. I called and spoke with Ashley who was not only friendly & apologetic but she was ready to offer immediate solutions. She confirmed understanding of my issues and was efficient with resolution. Justen set up new service for my rental ! He answered all of my questions, provided a ton of information and followed up with an email immediately following our call- just as he said he would ! :)If every phone representative was as attentive and efficient as him- I would not dread calling customer service lines!

Our recycling was the only one on the block that didnt get picked up. We worked with Kim, Diedre, and Tyler to get the issue resolved by the next day. They went out of their way to make sure the issue was resolved as quickly as possible

My container was not picked up on the scheduled day. I called Waste Connections to report. Kara McDermott called me back the next morning and offered two options, Pick up today at no extra charge, pickup double next week at no charge. I opted for today as my receptacle was full. She asked if I could move the bin to the street again, which I could and did. Very professional, very engaging, Scott Campbell would have been proud.

Dependable, friendly service, and very responsive to any questions or concerns. There is definitely a wait time if you call in, but once you get though, a representative will confirm your interaction via email. From there, just reply to the email if you need more assistance. In my experience anyway, they get back to you via email faster than itll take you to navigate the dial-in audio menu.

Austin was very professional but yet friendly enough to make me a feel a valued. I commend her for a job well done.

Im leaving a 5 star review because even though they missed our service on Thursday, they are not sending someone right out to fix it. They have always been super consistent for the last 9 years for us and have even shown us how to save money by changing out account to plan for two cans a week since we were previously just putting an extra can out and getting charged more. A couch had been dumped on the street outside my elder parents property and I had to arrange for a pick-up of this item for them. Agents Deirdre and Shirleen were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with, smoothing out details and solving the problem. I was blown away by their professionalism and courtesy as so often dealing on the phone with any service can be a disastrous waste of time. I always have a good experience calling waste connection. Though it may take a minute to get through the line, once someone is available, they are fast, accurate, and compassionate about any issues I experience. This time Justen was my service rep, he talked me through an illegal dumping issue, was helpful, thoughtful and empathetic.

Called in to order a dumpster so we can do some cleanup in anticipation of moving. Rarely do I have what I would consider a truly quality customer service experience these days, but this was one of those special times. It took a while to get through but once I did, the service that Chris provided was amazing. Very much appreciated.

This business is VERY hard to get someone on the line! The call back system is what they are really leaning on you to use. You can’t go into their office for help. And, the regional office number has an off putting message too. The call back is “within 48 hours”. If you miss the call back you are back to leaving another message hoping for a call back in ANOTHER 48 hours. There are other utility companies locally that are answering directly and providing faster better service in these uncertain times. Waste connections is cutting things a little too thin and cutting corners on customer service and it is showing. I called to discontinue service 6 weeks ago and the system is still working on trying to collect my auto pay. Why is that even still a thing after I dealt with the all back people 6 weeks ago if they want us using the call back people. I also scheduled to have my recycling cans picked up and that didn’t go right. Now the new owners are stuck with the old can and setting up service. This will be difficult for them.

Diedra Lamb was the perfect customer service rep! She was extremely professional and responsive. We needed to have our dumpsters replaced and also relocated on our property. She used google earth to locate the property, outline the area to move to, emailed us a copy while on the phone just to make sure it was correct and verified everything. The cordial personality was equal to the uniqueness of her name. She adeptly took my money to make up the multi-month delinquency, then set me up to log-on to reestablish a billing draft. Response from customer service has been prompt and effective when needed. Also our recent refuse collector has been polite and personable when passing by our driveway. I know the job is not always easy however their service is greatly appreciated. Further Traci in customer service was very helpful when our recycle container was damaged during the last service. I have been very happy with the service for years. However, my situation has changed and I needed to stop both garbage and recycling. I called and talked to Jenna Erskine. She was very helpful, researched my options, and emailed me back in less than an hour. Excellent and professional! When I need to re-instate the services, I will be happy to come back as their customer.

Their customer service is incredible. Every time I have spoken with them I have left feeling cared about and important to them as a customer. The set up process over the phone was great, and I was extremely impressed by the person I spoke with. After our service started, I noticed that an extra bag and our recycling bin hadn’t been picked up yet, even though our neighbors had. I made a call to Waste Connections, and not only were they genuinely concerned about this issue, understanding for my confusion, and apologetic, but not even 30 minutes later, both were picked up and taken away. Ellie was extremely kind on the phone and never doubted “my side of the story” for a moment. She was considerate and I was, once again, very appreciative of the service.

Five stars for the assistance provided by Austin in reestablishing my Auto Pay. My checking account was hacked and therefore closed. I usually do not leave reviews, but due to my recent experiences with a Waste Connections employee Tyler, I felt compelled to give credit where credit is due. These days, it is rare to find good service from genuinely good people. Us in Camas are lucky to have found that with our Waste Connections Professional, Tyler. To better explain the reason why Tyler has earned that opinion from me, you need to understand a little bit about my household. My 3 year old son has a near heart attack from excitement every time he sees/hears a garbage/recycling truck. Whenever we hear the truck coming up the road, him and I have made it a bonding tradition to ALWAYS look through the window together or go out on our front porch to see the recycling/garbage truck that he is so earnestly waiting to see. As a result, I have seen my fair share of garbage/recycling trucks and personnel come and go over the years. With that being said, growing up, I have always been taught that the true measure of a good person is when someone consistently does the right thing, even when there is no one watching. This value I hold is what what my opinion of Tyler is based upon. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed Tyler, not knowing that I was watching, not only do the right thing, but even go above and beyond his normal scope of duty to help those in need. I am very impressed. If I were an employer, I would be ecstatic to have an employee like him. Two thumbs up Tyler. Waste Connections is our garbage service and I’m grateful for their services. I’m giving 4 stars because I wish that our recycle and yard debris was picked up weekly, but I love the additional services we can use which was something that was not offered in our old city. For the service I received from customer service I’d give 5 stars. I called and Jenna Erskine was so helpful in getting a loveseat pick up scheduled for me after my cats destroyed it. She was kind and understanding as I explained the situation and got everything scheduled for me for the next week. Thanks Jenna!

Heather had exceptional customer service! Although the wait times were a little longer than normal she was friendly, helpful and supportive. She answered all my questions, made updates to my account and let me know of a new app I could download that reminds us to take down the garbage, recycling and yard debris which was super helpful.

We are renovating our home and quickly realized that we would need a dumpster. Luckily, Waste Connections could help us out! I called to schedule one and Kara made the process so easy. I filled out paperwork, made a prepayment, and scheduled all within an hour. They were even available the next day, and I was expecting to wait a while.
