They gave us a bid to finish a job they had started and said they could complete the work that next week. We told them we could do some of the work in house, rather then adjust the bid they said they couldnt get us on the schedule anymore. I asked how long until they could, they responded by saying we should probably look for another vendor. We are paying $4000 for the original job but because we can handle the painting in house it was no longer worth it to them to finish. All about the money obviously

All of the production and fast response is very important to my Company. I needed good work professionally done. His company was there and fast. I was running a huge Commercial Building with tenants coming in and going out through the years. He was fantastic. I also used another Company for home repairs. Insurance Company, I had to use. Nightmare in all their work. Not ARS Best service. Great price. Very Professional.

I had a water line break this winter and my basement was flooded causing severe damage. I called ARS and they responded quickly assuring me that they will take care of it promptly. They showed up the same day and began resolving the issue. They communicated well with me about the process and what was being done as well as what to expect. I am pleased with their service and highly recommend them for your restoration needs.

I would discourage anyone from doing business with this company. I had water damage in my home and called Jon, the owner. He promised he would come out to do an estimate and get the job down quick. I selected Ars to do the repairs. They were over a month behind finishing the project ( than their original estimated date). The project manager and owner were non responsive to my calls and emails. The work they did do was low quality. They had to come out to my house 5 times over the last 6 months to fix their poor work. I had to threaten legal action for the owner to even respond to my calls and emails to fix their errors. This company has poor customer service, unskilled workers, and in my option a dishonest owner. Save your self the headache and go with another contractor.

I am in the middle of preparing for my. Mother-in-law to spend her last days with us. ( she has been bed ridden 30 years). So before she comes in two weeks we need to repipe and have new flooring done. While getting bids I brought concerns about a past leak which in my mind I was sure had resulted in major damage. The plumber me referred me to a “Water Damage specialist” who came and found a problem totally unrelated and told me their was 92% moisture in my floor around the toilet. No visible damage anywhere. I was skeptical.I typed “water damage Vancouver Wa” and found ARS I called and explained the situation to Philepe the situation. He told me it was probably not that serious from what I described. Moses and Ricardo were the technicians that came out. Both were very thorough. They checked with their moisture measuring instruments and found the readings to be within normal range. There was evidence of staining from past leaks but no damage to the wood. They charged me nothing. The previous company was Estimating $5,000 with tearing up walls and hazmat and possibly weeks of airing before reassembling the house to original form. Moral. Always get at least three estimates. Make sure their stories coincide. Watch for tag team associates. Philippe Moses and Ricardo were polite professional and honest. Moses had offered to go under the house but I told him he didn’t have to. He insisted. And he took pictures. That’s how dedicated he was. In a business as ruthless as the mold remediation business is it is comforting to know their is someone you can rely on. May God bless ARS and help in there endeavor to help others in times of distress.

I had some dry rot, a couple leaks through the siding when it rained, and other siding issues that was in need of immediate repairs so I called ARS Construction to come by and give me a quote. John and the team came by and I explained to him the obvious problem areas and I also asked him to evaluate other areas which were questionable. John and I spent a sufficient amount of time going through the outside of the entire house. John gave me a thorough explanation to me why each area should be repaired. After spending time with him it was clear to me that he was very knowledgeable in his field and I felt very good about explanations. The following day I received a quote which was very reasonable, so I decided to go with them. I called the office to schedule an appointment, the earliest appointments were one weeks out. ARS started and finished the work on schedule. During the course of the work I got a text from John while I was at work showing me that when removing some of the damaged siding that there was additional dry rot on some of the wood work around the windows so I meet with the contractor to discuss additional repairs and costs. After seeing the damaged I approved the additional repairs. The whole experience working with ARS was a very good one. He was very knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive and I thought his pricing was fair. My recommendation would be to always correspond with ARS because they are the one who gets things done.

I read some of the reviews and like any person doing their diligence, I researched several other competitors and talked to a few references. In the end it was clear to me that ARS was the best choice. It’s like reading a product review, pro’s and con’s, typically those con’s are related to something very specific and unique for that reviewer, not an overall pattern. The services they provided for us on two different occasions was quick and the results were high quality. The staff was very professional and provided a good experience. A lead inspected after the crew and provided constant communications of next steps and progress. Our two projects; a water leak had built up from the upstairs bath tub that came through the downstairs ceiling. There was clean up, dry out and repairing back to normal. They did such a good job that they were the first we called when we noticed some mold on the outside of the house. The mold was in our attic due to a construction error of not having the proper ventilation. They also identified some additional issues with the gables and the roof needed replacement. They quickly worked to mitigate the mold issue. We appreciated the extensive expertise about mold, the owner personally educated us on that process. The construction related issues could have been performed by a roof specialists but we chose to go with ARS as they can handle a broad spectrum of mitigation and repairs. They did awesome work! We would not hestitate to use them again and have referred them to several others who have been equally pleased.

I dont normally leave reviews, but I was so surprised by back feedback left that after my experience I had an obligation to express my thoughts and share my feedback. We unfortunately had a terrible experience with a roofing company which left our home full of moisture. I called ARS and spoke with John the owner after hours. I expressed my concern for my family and mines health and he sent a crew out that night. They were thorough and professional during the assessment. Felipe, the crew leader and John, the owner called me throughout the next few weeks to discuss next steps and give me options throughout the process.Due to the damage in the home, they took thermal readings, checked for additional moisture points and worked with me so I felt me and my family had all options for our safety. They not only protected our health by removing the contaminated areas but they were thorough with sealing off the areas so the rest of our home wasnt affected with dust, debri or possibly worse. They covered our new floors, and always wore booties and protective gear. Every team member was professional and courteous of our family. Our home was so damaged that all of the ceilings upstairs had to be removed. John helped walk me through the process with the insurance agents and offered to help should we need it.We are still dealing with the other companies and insurance related issues and ARS has been the only company who has been easy to work with, and helped reduce an already stressful situation. When your being displaced due to others negligence its a very delicate balancing act, and I cant stress enough how much I would always recommend ARS.

The worst experience I have ever had dealing with a “professional” company. They used scare tactics to manipulate the elderly members of my family to sign off on waivers of uninsured aspects of our flood remission. Took everything out of our basement, without regard for what could have been saved. So not only did we have to deal with the tragedy of a flood, but then we were taken advantage of by the people that were supposed to be there to help. The refused to send us an itemized descriptions of their work so we could forward their claim to FEMA. They sent us to collections before FEMA could finish their assessment because we were waiting on ARS’s itemized bill. When they finally complied with the bill FEMA requested, it was a single line item labeled “remission”. After a month of begging for a more detailed bill, per FEMA’s request, we got a bill with two line items, one line stated remission and the second was a water heater. We appealed our claim to FEMA three times, but due to lack of compliance from ARS they would not honor the entirety of ARS’s bill. Lawyers became involved and, and through more scare tactics, we had to pay about 7 grand out of pocket to satisfy these crooks. My advice, do not use this company for anything, and if you already are involved with them…get a lawyer.

BEWARE OF MOLD REMEDIATION INCOMPETENCE OR SCAMDuring a bathroom remodel the contractor found a small amount of mold on an interior surface of outside wall sheathing. The area affected was less than 8 square feet. The contractor suggested ARS Services be called in to mold remediation.ARS responded quickly performed FLIR diagnostics and microbial detection in both the master bath and the master closet. The master closet shares the wall with the master bath. ARS technician reported that both rooms would need to be sealed off and mold containment and remediation undertaken. The next day demolition of east wall sheet rock both the bath and closet was completed. Plastic door way seals were set in place and equipment was up and running. Two days later, after equipment had been running continuously, I unzipped both rooms and looked at them to see the equipment. The closet was quite warm, approximately 80 F with a dehumidifier and scrubber running. The bath was approximately 68 F and only had a dehumidifier running and NO SCRUBBER. The room with actual moisture problem had no heat in it at all. I called the ARS manager to discuss what I had found. The manager told me he would verify with the technician that there was no second scrubber. As I was talking with the ARS manager the technician knocked at my front door. He made measurements in the closet and found moisture was at nominal levels (12) and ready for the application of Kilz.He proceeded to the bath and took numerous (>15) probe measurements detecting moisture content. The levels in the bath were slightly higher (17) than the closet. He moved the scrubber from the closet to the bath and said he would be back tomorrow afternoon to recheck the bath. Later that day I checked temperatures in both rooms. Each room was right at 85F. I was confused as to why the previous two days the bathroom temperature never went above 70 F when the closet was at 85 F.The next day the ARS technician came back to check moisture content. I asked him what the measurements were were today his answer; “Seventeen (17).” The bath had equipment running for over 24 hours, with temperatures in the 80 - 85 F range, sealed shut, and the moisture in the wall had NOT decreased ONE point?I have little confidence that I was being told the truth by ARS. I remain unconvinced that the over kill of mold remediation at my home is anything other than an unwarranted expense. I will pay it because I signed a contract with ARS.BOTTOM LINE HERE: NO PERSONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT WAS WORN BY ANY WORKER OR TECHNICIAN.At NO time during the demolition, disposal of materials, operation of equipment, inspection of mold remediation areas, removal of equipment, sealing of walls with Kilz, or during the departure from the premises DID I SEE ANY ARS EMPLOYEE DON ANY PROTECTIVE GEAR OR WARN ME OF ANY HAZARDS.IT IS A SCAM: I am convinced that this environmentally sensitive issue is a scam. Contractors are obliged to stop when they find ANY mold. Mold remediation companies hire incompetent people to clean up the areas. Cost to remediate mold and repair the damage after the demolition is all on the homeowner or insurance companies. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PAY FOR THIS TYPE OF RIPOFF.UPDATE June 25, 2016Our bath remodel is complete with the exception of minor paint and clean up. During the final cleanup I noticed that there was still a big black plastic bag in the corner next to our bed. I had thought it was the contractor’s but opened it to find out.THE BAG CONTAINED THE CARPET PADDING REMOVED FROM THE CLOSET BY ARS. This hazardous material had been left by the ARS remediation technicians. It has sat in our bedroom in the corner for months. I tied the bag closed and put it in the trash. Inefficient, incompetent, ill-trained, and unresponsive ARS should not be trusted to clean a toilet.
