Didnt listen to what I wanted for my daughters bangs and literally said these words I will decide for her and messed up my hair as well. Also I got a mens cut, while already having a mens cut and she charged me for a womens cut. Not impressed, never going again.

I took my son and I hear to get haircuts and there were a few people ahead of us, but she gave them amazing haircuts which made me excited that we’d be getting one soon. My son went first and I showed he a picture of how I wanted his hair to look. She had a few clarifying questions and gave him an amazing styled haircut. I received the same treatment and for $16 for both, you couldn’t beat the professional, high quality haircuts. Thank you Betty to welcoming us into your business.

From the first time my wife heard of Bettys Barbershop and took our young boys there, our family has become regular customers. We were initially drawn by the reasonable prices, but the quality and value of her services has kept us coming back for years. I am always satisfied with my haircut when I leave her place. My boys, whose hair seems to grow as fast as weeds, always look sharp, as well.If you dont care about extra frills, but just want a good haircut from a genuinely kind woman, I recommend going to Bettys Barbershop. I know I will continue to do so, now that shes back in business after the strip mall, where she was formerly located, burned down in January 2017.

This appears to be a Vietnamese family-owned barber that does excellent haircuts. It’s the cheapest option I’ve found in Vancouver and they accept walk-ins. The lady who cut my hair was kind and professional, also spoke sufficient English to know exactly what I needed. I will be back!

I came in for a men’s haircut today. Normally I just buzz it myself, but I have an interview in a few days and needed something sharper than what I can do. Betty provided an excellent cut! She listened to what I asked for, checked with me a couple times during the haircut to see if I was getting what I want and was very personable. Don’t hesitate to give this place a try, for the value it’s the best around.

SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE The shop was fine but the problem I had was that she was fighting with her son and screaming near my ears while she was cutting my hair and I felt really really uncomfortable. I then kindly asked her if she could cut my hair first since I was in a hurry and she started arguing with me and yelling near me face. She took about an hour to trim my sides that’s it..not worth going back here she doesn’t respect other people’s personal opinions and started grabbing my card when it came time to pay and I wasn’t comfortable giving her my card because of the whole corona pandemic then she said “I am not welcome here” because I didn’t want to hand her my card and instead just wanted to put it in the card reader myself

Great place for a haircut.

Very clean and comfortable inside. I️ have a fairly simple haircut (#2 on the sides, finger length on top) and this has taken some barbers upwards of 25min to do, and sometimes small details are missed or done incorrectly. Here I️ was only in the chair for less than 10min, AND the haircut was done very well. Not to mention it cost about 60% less than most places. Definitely recommend for mens haircuts.

My family members have been going to Betty Barber since we moved to Vancouver 5 years ago. She offers a quick, clean and affordable haircut. ($8) Since my son and husbands hair grows like crazy this is great for my family! She is a very kind lady who always remembers and is interested in my son even though her English is limited. We like her so much we followed her to a temporary salon where she worked when her old one burnt down. And now she has a new place with more space to call her own. Shes isnt a fancy stylist, but if all you want is a basic cut or trim, she does a great job.

I just got home with my son from Bettys barber. We were wanting to go to Kings Barber Shop based on their reviews, but I failed to see that they are closed on Sundays. Bettys was just around the corner so we stopped by. I am really upset because she failed to listen to my request which was a big deal because he had been growing his hair out for over a year. A year down the drain. I asked if she could give him an undercut and leave the top long, a totally reasonable request because his hair was almost down to his shoulders. As we were sitting down a man walked in asking for a haircut and she told him 10 minutes. I should have walked out then and there. 10 minutes? She was right, it only took her 10 minutes to carelessly hack at my sons hair as I stood there and tried to stop her. I told her no I want this part left long and she just nodded and proceeded to go at it and then said it will be easier for him to style like this. Thats not really for her to decide, nor was I asking for her opinion. Its the shortest that its ever been and on top of that it is very sloppy. I have no one to blame but myself for staying, I would have been better off just taking his half hacked head out of there and waiting until tomorrow to finish it elsewhere. We made small talk and Im sad for her that her other shop was burned down maliciously, no one deserves that. She was nice but as a barber she failed to communicate clearly or listen to my wishes and I feel extremely disrespected as a client. I would have been glad to come back if I felt she cared about keeping us as clients and spending a bit more time on my son, but she did not. Im sorry Betty, but the way to keep clients is to pay close attention to detail and make your clients feel heard, we wont be back. I hope you take this review and use it to change the way you run your business.
