Travis was very knowledgeable and helpful in diagnosing and repairing my recently acquired 1967 VW Beetle. It was nice to talk to and get information and advice on how to get the car running and find other service providers in town (spare keys, upholstery, alignment referrals). A pleasure to deal with and provided services were awesome, and above and beyond my expectations.

I have used Zinda & Sons to service my vintage 1971 Karmann Ghia and they have always been super trustworthy and reasonably priced. In addition to Volkswagen, they also service other makes/models. I would highly recommend Zinda & Sons over the bigger and pricier repair shops in the area.

The guys at Zinda and Sons know their stuff! I called about the brakes dragging on my 71 bus, I couldnt figure out what was going wrong no matter how many times I pulled everything apart, they said to bring it in and theyd take a look. Dropped it off at 1pm and at 5pm they called and said it was fixed! They pinpointed the problem (a bent connecting rod that went to the master cylinder) fixed it and then went above and beyond to check my fuel gauge since they noticed it wasnt working. Let me know how to fix it and even gave me an extra dash pod that they had in the shop for free in case I wanted to replace it! Extremely friendly and amazing prices. I like to do all of my own work but after this experience Ill definitely be coming back! Thanks guys!

Ive been going to Danny and Travis since I bought a 2000 GTI VR6 in 2012. I was 18 at the time and it was my second car. I knew basic maintenance and enough about cars not to get up-sold at a Jiffy Lube. It wasnt a very nice car and being an 18 year old having to pay for most of his car maintenance, I needed good advice on how to keep it running cheap. My previous mechanic kinda failed in that area so somebody referred me to Danny. I havent called anyone else my general mechanic since then, even though I now own a Toyota truck. When I had my VR6, he knew I was eager to learn about car mechanics so he pulled me under my car multiple times to show me exactly what part he was replacing and what labor was involved with replacing it. Both Travis and Danny are very quiet dudes that dont smile much but they smile, trust me. Theyre still both relatively kind but their honesty is what wins me as a returning customer and will until I move or they move. When I say honest I mean they tell you what is wrong, nothing more; most of the time they give you alternative fixes, different parts, and prices regarding your vehicles repair. They only tell you things that NEED to be fixed and warn you of less crucial fixes for the future. Finally, they dont quote the hours of labor based on industry standards: they use their own. He only charges me for the actual amount of time it took him to do whatever it is I told him to do (for oil changes and fluid flushes at least!)

Dan and Travis are amazing! My 2002 GTI had an oiler cooler leak and subsequently injected my cooling system with four quarts of oil. Goopy, slimy oil sludge coming out of every orifice. I dropped this mess off with Dan and he painstakingly flushed out the entire system, fixed what needed fixing, and got me back on the road again. He worked within my budget and beat all my expectations. Id give 5 more stars if I could! Thanks, Zinda & Sons
