Isaiah and crew did an amazing job on repairing my car to look good as new again. I wish I had taken pictures right before I dropped it off to show comparison, but she was looking ready to be dropped off at the junkyard. They repaired the right side of the car including replacing her side skirt and repairing the right quarter panel due to another car hitting it. They also painted the rear bumper and repaired the left quarter panel after I decided to get some other damage repaired from prior incidents since she was already in the shop. They did an amazing job and finished a day early! The pictures do not do their work justice.

Due to an accident I had to have my vehicle towed to Jacobus, hoping to get it repaired. Unfortunately my insurance decided to total the car. For the most part Jacobus CARSTAR was very professional, and I even got a call from the owner to ask me what to do with certain items I had left inside the car that he felt someone may break into the car to steal them. My only issue was that they couldnt fix the car, but that is an issue with my insurance not willing to pay more than the mechanics. I am giving them 4 starts, but only because when I review things, 4 stars is 100% satisfaction of what I expected, and 5 is above and beyond. Based on my experience I would reccomend, but my experience was unfortunately limited by other factors.

So 8 days to replace all of my glass and reapply window tint on my 2019 Jetta due to an act of nature. I was told it would take 4 days and after investigating with auto glass companies, it should of taken a max of 3 days with the window tint being applied as well. So I was ok with 4 days but not 8. The owner has no real care and Isaiah is really no help as well. I called my insurance company as well, but that was no help. They explained to me that Carstar had said I yelled at the owner and slammed the door one of the many times I had been there, which I never yelled and not once did I slam a door, but that’s ok. Once I brought this car in, I should of been turned away since this was all a sub let job and nothing was done in house. So I believe the fault falls in my insurance company and carstar as well. There is one positive note to all of this. When I did finally get my car and it was leaking, carstar made sure I had a rental to get it fixed. Even though I had to bring it back twice. Also before asking me, Isaiah took my car through a car wash, which I do not do. So I do wish he would of asked me first. I get why he did it to find the leak but I still should of been told before he did it. My number one issue is the lack of communication between carstar and myself during this whole process. If you do go here, just make sure you get what they say in writing. They are not people of their word at all.

Its rare in this day and age to find an auto body shop where you dont leave feeling screwed. Jacobus has my business for life and I will recommend them to everyone. The same week an insurance claim was finished I screwed up the bumper on another car and didnt want to make another insurance claim. They fixed my bumper for practically nothing. They could have gouged me for a lot of money but they explained they like to help people out. It was a bad week for my poor cars and this relieved a lot of stress. The quality of repair is second to none.

If your looking for a body shop that is on your side and not the side of the insurance companies stay away from Jacobus CARSTAR. Dave is a super nice guy, but it became very clear early in the process that he is more loyal to the insurance companies than his own customers. I understand the business and the need to have good working relationships with insurance companies, but at no time should that need be put in front of loyalty to your customer. We’ve all probably experienced this less than fun process at sometime in our adult lives. Instead of making the process easier Dave Jacobus added another layer to the equation and seriously questioned our integrity in the process. That is certainly not how I’m accustomed to being treated. I was actually in utter disbelief and now I’m left questioning the integrity of Jacobus CARSTAR. This was a simple $2100 repair that should have been a slam dunk, but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Take care of your customers and quit drinking so much of the insurance companies kool aid!

These folks are simply the very best!My jeep had been hurt on the front quarter panel and needed a new fender and bumper. The accident was a hit and run, so insurance was covering. Wendy worked seamlessly with the rental car company and my insurance to make the entire experience a non-event. Incredible customer service and professionalism.The repairs were perfect. They had to return one bumper that was damaged, so an extra day to repair, but they kept me informed daily on the progress. When I picked up the vehicle, I didnt notice a couple of over spray spots on a door window. When I let them know, they said bring it in anytime so they could clean it.When I returned for the cleaning, they were johnny-on-the-spot and had me out in less than 15 minutes with a spotless window.Could not be happier.

Superb customer service! My bumpers had some slight damage, and were not quite locked in on one side and they were able to get both bumpers to sit properly in just 15 minutes! Took my car in for an interior detail last week --- was surprised to pick it up and find that the exterior had been washed, the door and hatchback rims had all been cleaned and the car looked and smelled absolutely wonderful. After 13 years of personal abuse and neglect, I took my little 2003 VW Golf to Dave Jacobus for a Carstar Make-Over. I couldnt be more satisfied! Dave and his friendly crew have literally restored a pride of ownership I havent felt in years. I simply couldnt recommend Daves shop MORE HIGHLY for any kind of auto restoration or collision repair.

Bad experience, waste of time. Took my car here on a recommendation after being rear ended. When i got my car back the first time, you could still see lines on the bumper where there were cracks before, as if they just simply covered it with paint. They admitted they were at fault and it shouldnt look like that so i dropped the car off with them again. After picking it up a second time, the before-mentioned lines/cracks had been fixed but the bumper hadnt been put on properly. Gave these guys a third chance to fix the rear bumper properly and it still isnt fixed the way it should be. The bumper is noticeably a different color shade (they said its from multiple clearcoat applications from repairing it) and the seams dont line up properly. At this point they have stated that this is the best they can do. When looking at the car, its obvious that the bumper has been repaired poorly. This repair job was an insurance claim, it should be repaird back to factory specs and pre-loss condition, this shop was unable to do it. Very disappointed.
