SCAM!!! Reported to the BBB. Told i would hear from a manager regarding my account closure and a refund. So far I have not, but i have been in contact with my bank regarding the matter. Whatever services they offer you - you can do completely on your own without a monthly fee. go directly through your loan borrower and fill out the same exact forms. Literally same process - zero fee. Also they are an identity theft scam - their address was listed on my credit report as a place I LIVED AT. On BBB they are not accredited because are they are deemed to be a scam for identity theft. good luck!

I don’t typically write reviews because frankly I’m lazy but I’ve been so inspired by the support Higher Level Processing continues to provide! Most recently with Kathy (that I just spoke with a moment ago) but honestly whoever I speak with I am always left with the experience of being cared for as a customer. The unique quality of support has actually improve my quality of life knowing the HLP team is managing my loans. I am a 15 year veteran educator on the high school and university level and I have a cumulated quite a bit of student loan debt. HLP support has allowed me to minimize anxiety concerning student loans and focus on my career and family and community.

Philip Tamera has been incredibly patient, kind, and persistent in managing my student loans on my behalf. The amount of relief I have felt from not having to deal with student loan lenders directly is immeasurable, allowing me to focus on other things. He worked with me to get the required paperwork submitted and has saved me hundreds of dollars a month. I am disappointed that the lenders never counted any of my previous qualifying work experience towards my student loan forgiveness, but ever since I started with Higher Level Processing, I now feel assured that the work I do is being counted. Once the required months are up, I will have saved tens of thousands of dollars and can expect full forgiveness of my student loans. In the meantime, I have tiny monthly payments compared to what was expected of me by my lenders before, and I can now see a light at the end of the tunnel. On a personal level, Philip has been very supportive of my finding meaningful work at a job where I can feel fulfilled, make a living wage, support my family and qualify for student loan forgiveness. Higher Level Processing is the best! I just got off the phone with Phil Mall Tamera, and he was extremely helpful. He walked me through everything to keep me on top of my student loan. Phil is great! I truly appreciate the time that he spent with me.

I am now questioning the legitimacy of this company. When I signed up, it was $200 for 4 months and then $20 a month after that for however long it took. I didn’t do much research. They send me statements in the mail and everything is a zero. There’s no amount I owe, amount I’ve paid, amount due, actual amount... nothing on it. It’s all “0.00” I want to believe that they are legit and everything is ok, but I’m not sure. I keep getting messages here and there and when I try to call, I get no answer. Not to mention the number that I was initially contacted from is no longer in service, which is very fishy to me. I spoke to a Jonathan Mcnab. He was very helpful, but I still had a weird feeling. I’m going to wait and see if I get a call back from the message I left and if not, I’m going to look into going elsewhere. I do not recommend this company at this time. I just feel like something is up.

I have been with doing business with HLP since 2017 and they have definitely helped me alot. I will admit that I have called and no one picked up, I wasnt able to get leave a voicemail either. It does make you suspicious when this happens. Id give this company a 0 if I could. They charge you this insane amount to do exactly what you can do on your own. Call your loan service yourself, and ask for an income driven rate and tell higher level processing to find someone else to steal from.

If I could give zero stars I definitely would. I call them, wait 20 minutes, get hung up on and then I call back and nobody answers the phone. This business is just taking money from innocent people. They are not paying down any debt when it comes to student loans. You’re literally paying them for something that you can do yourself.

However, when they changed to a new system and I havent registered on it, I have been getting countless emails and text messages saying how I hired them. I would like to FIRE THEM if thats the case. She explained the Higher Level Processing helps grads consolidate their school debt. She asked me a few questions and I felt comfortable enough to answer. When she told me that my monthly payment could be significantly reduced, I thought it was too good to be true. I began to ask more questions about the company. She answered all questions and did not rush me. I am so glad that Hilary was able to help me!!

This company is the worst of the worst! If your intuition is telling you it sounds to good to be true then listen to yourself! There are absolutely options out there that will offer help, but at what cost? I had went through serious financial troubles that led to me filing bankruptcy. During that time a woman named Gretchen Days (now a manager) contacted me periodically to see how everything was coming along. She was very convincing and put forth great effort in order to make me think she was here to help. In the end she was just setting up another notch in her belt for her sales numbers. Since being promised the world what theyve delivered has been nothing more than lies and a headache. Since becoming a client its been very difficult to speak with anyone. Originally I was told that they would be doing my paperwork internally, but I recently learned that is not true. When I finally spoke to someone in their processing department (which does all of the paperwork with all of my personal information) I was concerned when it was hard to understand the person on the other end of the phone. I did a little digging and found out these people arent even from the USA! I believe theyre in or around the Philippines! If youre considering this company ask yourself if you would like your most important information to be handled by some group that is located out of the country who isnt legally obligated to guard my info? I wish I knew what I know now!!

Department of education which call higher level processing that care and help people like me, may mighty God bless you and your organization so you help more people like me in Jesus mighty name Amen.one more time i am blessed to have higher level of processing on my side.

Id give a ZERO if I could. When I first started with them 5 years ago I thought it was great. I wouldnt have to worry about high student repayments while work as a public servant, I would only need to fill out the forms annually when they contacted me. Within 2 years, I found out my experiences were going to be a constant headache.1. Trying to get a hold of any one at the company (unless you are new and trying to join) is almost impossible. I call and will be on hold until their automated system tells me I have to leave a message. I leave multiple messages and email numerous times before I finally get someone on the phone, by luck.2. They charge you $800 to start the process and another $40 a month when you can do it yourself through FedLoan services.3. The company does not tell you they create an account for you at MyFedLoan so if there is an issue with FedLoan, you dont know how to get on. And the contact information all is supposed to be Higher Level Processing (HLP)s contact info so they know when something is wrong. However, I doubt HLP checks FedLoan incoming messages.4. The last 4 years, HLP NEVER ONCE reached out to me to update my annual income based forms. I always had to contact them that it needed done. And of course that took a month to get a hold of someone each time. They did complete the forbearance forms for me which was one positive item.5. I moved when I divorced and had contacted them with my updated information along with it being on my annual forms for the last 3 years. I have had communications with them multiple times a year on my new phone number, new email, and new address. Yet they claim they have been contacting me every year. Come to find out, that particular department was using my information from 5 years ago. Some of there departments are contacting me on all my current information while the important annual review team is using information from 5 years ago. How is that not all in 1 system.6. Every year that I have had to redo my annual form, I have had to reach out to them to remind them. This past year, I had my first child and as a single mother, there was a lot going on around my review time. Because HLP did not reach out to me, I was notified in Jan that my payment was going up 800% and due to the higher amount I was $2400 in debt to them. This in turn went over to the credit score companies and dinged my Excellent credit score by 133 points! Now I have been fighting with 3 different people at HLP to get this worked out. I have to work to dispute the hit with the credit score companies.I reached to FedLoan and I will be doing everything myself from now on. I cannot believe how horrible the HLP Customer Service is. They refuse to cancel my account and continue to charge my credit card. I have to cancel my credit card to get them to stop taking money

This in my third year working with Higher Level Processing. They have absolutely outstanding customer service and really go out and beyond to help make your life more affordable!

The only reason they got 1 star is because 0 stars is not an option.Dont do it. I ended up paying them 2,000 to defer my loans and set up payment with another company. I ended up doing all the work myself except for the initial set up, and on top of the 2,000 they charge monthly. I canceled with NSLS and they are STILL taking money out of my account. DONT DO IT! If you are fine with paying someone to do a service for you, but you end up doing the work yourself, then this is the company for you. If your not, then look elsewhere. They will be getting another call from me tomorrow. I am again telling them to cancel my account with them and put the money they took out this past month BACK. You can not take money for doing NOTHING.
